The potential energy surface (PES) for the \(\mathrm{CP}(\mathrm{X}^{2}\varSigma^{+})\)-\(\mathrm{He}(^{1}S)\) complex has been calculated at the RCCSD(T)-F12/VTZ-F12 level of theory. The analytic fit of the PES was obtained by using global analytical method. The fitted PES was used subsequently in the close-coupling approach for the computation of the state-to-state collisional excitation cross sections of the fine-structure levels of the CP-He complex. Collision energies were taken up to 1500 cm?1 and they yield after thermal averaging, state-to-state rate coefficients up to 200 K. The propensity rules between the lowest fine-structure levels were studied. These rules show, on one hand, a strong propensity in favour of even \(\Delta N\) transitions, and the other hand, that cross sections and collisional rate coefficients for \(\Delta j =\Delta N\) transitions are larger than those for \(\Delta j\neq \Delta N\) transitions.  相似文献

We investigate in this paper the dynamics of Born-Infeld (B-I) type dark energy model with scalar potential $V_{0}e^{-\beta\varphi^{2}}$ , and consider the new statefinder diagnostic to differentiate B-I type dark energy model from LCDM which corresponds to statefinder pair {r,s}={1,0}. We study the existence of attractor solution in this model and the evolving trajectory of r?s in our model with this scalar potential. It is numerically shown that the evolving trajectory of r?s is quite different from those of other dark energy models.  相似文献

It is well known that the parallel cuts of the parallel and perpendicular electric field in electron phase-space holes (electron holes) have bipolar and unipolar structures, respectively. Recently, electron holes in the Earth’s plasma sheet have been observed by THEMIS satellites to have detectable fluctuating magnetic field with regular structures. Du et al. (2011) investigated the evolution of a one-dimensional (1D) electron hole with two-dimensional (2D) electromagnetic particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations in weakly magnetized plasma (Ω e <ω pe , where Ω e and ω pe are the electron gyrofrequency and electron plasma frequency, respectively), which initially exists in the simulation domain. The electron hole is unstable to the transverse instability and broken into several 2D electron holes. They successfully explained the observations by THEMIS satellites based on the generated magnetic structures associated with these 2D electron holes. In this paper, 2D electromagnetic particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations are performed in the xy plane to investigate the nonlinear evolution of the electron two-stream instability in weakly magnetized plasma, where the background magnetic field (B0 = B0[(e)\vec] x)(\mathbf{B}_{0} =B_{0}\vec{\mathbf{e}} _{x}) is along the x direction. Several 2D electron holes are formed during the nonlinear evolution, where the parallel cuts of E x and E y have bipolar and unipolar structures, respectively. Consistent with the results of Du et al. (2011), we found that the current along the z direction is generated by the electric field drift motion of the trapped electrons in the electron holes due to the existence of E y , which produces the fluctuating magnetic field δB x and δB y in the electron holes. The parallel cuts of δB x and δB y in the electron holes have unipolar and bipolar structures, respectively.  相似文献

We present new two- and four-dimensional potential energy surfaces for the KCl(\(\mbox{X}^{1} \varSigma ^{+}\))-He and KCl(\(\mbox{X}^{1} \varSigma ^{+}\))-para-H2 systems calculated with the internuclear distances of KCl and H2 frozen at their experimental minimum energy. The CCSD(T) level of theory with aug-cc-pVQZ/AQZP basis sets is used. The potential surfaces present well depths of about \(78~\mbox{cm}^{-1}\) and \(235~\mbox{cm}^{-1}\) below the dissociation limit of the above interacting systems respectively. With these potential surfaces, cross sections are obtained in the close coupling scheme and rate coefficients inferred by averaging the cross sections over a Maxwell-Boltzmann velocity distribution for temperature below 50 K. A propensity towards \(\Delta J = 1\) transitions is observed.  相似文献

Pulsation period changes in Mira type variables are investigated using the stellar evolution and nonlinear stellar pulsation calculations. We considered the evolutionary sequence of stellar models with initial mass \({M_{ZAMS}} = \;3{M_ \odot }\) and population I composition. Pulsations of stars in the early stage of the asymptotic giant branch are shown to be due to instability of the fundamental mode. In the later stage of evolution when the helium shell source becomes thermally unstable the stellar oscillations occur in either the fundamental mode (for the stellar luminosuty \(L < 5.4 \times {10^3}{L_ \odot }\)) or the first overtone (\(L > 7 \times {10^3}{L_ \odot }\)). Excitation of pulsations is due to the κ-mechanism in the hydrogen ionization zone. Stars with intermediate luminosities \(5.4 \times {10^3}{L_ \odot } < L < 7 \times {10^3}{L_ \odot }\) were found to be stable against radial oscillations. The pulsation period was determined as a function of evolutionary time and period change rates \(\dot \Pi \) were evaluated for the first ten helium flashes. The period change rate becomes the largest in absolute value \((\dot \Pi /\Pi \approx - {10^{ - 2}}y{r^{ - 1}})\) between the helium flash and the maximum of the stellar luminosity. Period changes with rate \(\left| {\dot \Pi /\Pi } \right| \geqslant - {10^{ - 3}}y{r^{ - 1}}\) take place during ≈500 yr, that is nearly one hundredth of the interval between helium flashes.  相似文献

Our paper is dedicated to the problem of anomalous values of braking indices n obs and spin frequency second derivatives [(n)\ddot]\ddot \nu of isolated radio pulsars. Observations of these objects for over 40 years have shown that in addition to the complex short-term irregular component in the evolution of the pulsars’ frequency, secular values of its second derivative are orders of magnitude greater than the predicted theoretical ones, and in a good half of cases—they are even negative. We earlier attributed this behavior of secular values of the second derivative to the presence of a cyclic component in the secular evolution of ν(t), with a characteristic recurrence time of thousands to tens of thousand years. We continue to develop this hypothesis based on a more detailed statistical analysis of the characteristics of 297 isolated radio pulsars: we analyze the model of these objects spin-down, consisting of two components, monotonic and cyclic, and determine their parameters. We demonstrate that the monotonic spin-down component is described by the classical magnetodipolar power law with an braking index of about 3, while the large amplitude of the cyclic component causes a significant variation of the observed spin-down rate ([(n)\dot] )(\dot \nu ) (with respect to magnetodipolar one), and fully determines the anomalous values of [(n)\ddot]\ddot \nu and n obs. An important consequence of the existence of a cyclic component of the pulsar rotational variations is the difference between their characteristic ages and respective secular values (by about 0.5–5 times). This allows to explainthe observed discrepancy of the characteristic and physical ages of some objects, as well as very large, up to 108 years, characteristic ages of some old pulsars. The paper argues that the cyclic component of the observed spin-down is due to the long-term precession of neutron stars around their magnetic axes, which, in particular, may be driven by the anomalous braking torque. In the model of purely magnetodipolar braking this torque is a consequence of emission in the near field zone.  相似文献

The diffusion of charged particles in a stochastic magnetic field (strengthB) which is superimposed on a uniform magnetic fieldB 0 k is studied. A slab model of the stochastic magnetic field is used. Many particles were released into different realizations of the magnetic field and their subsequent displacements z in the direction of the uniform magnetic field numerically computed. The particle trajectories were calculated over periods of many particle scattering times. The ensemble average was then used to find the parallel diffusion coefficient . The simulations were performed for several types of stochastic magnetic fields and for a wide range of particle gyro-radius and the parameterB/B 0. The calculations have shown that the theory of charged particle diffusion is a good approximation even when the stochastic magnetic field is of the same strength as the uniform magnetic field.  相似文献

We investigate the late-time dynamics of a four-dimensional universe based on modified scalar field gravity in which the standard Einstein-Hilbert action R is replaced by f(φ)R+f(R) where f(φ)=φ 2 and f(R)=AR 2+BR μν R μν,(A,B)∈ℝ. We discussed two independent cases: in the first model, the scalar field potential is quartic and for this special form it was shown that the universe is dominated by dark energy with equation of state parameter w≈−0.2 and is accelerated in time with a scale factor evolving like a(t)∝t 5/3 and B+3A≈0.036. When, B+3A→∞ which corresponds for the purely quadratic theory, the scale factor evolves like a(t)∝t 1/2 whereas when B+3A→0 which corresponds for the purely scalar tensor theory we found when a(t)∝t 1.98. In the second model, we choose an exponential potential and we conjecture that the scalar curvature and the Hubble parameter vary respectively like R=hH[(f)\dot]/f,h ? \mathbbRR=\eta H\dot{\phi}/\phi,\eta\in\mathbb{R} and H=g[(f)\dot]c,(g,c) ? \mathbbRH=\gamma\dot{\phi}^{\chi},(\gamma,\chi)\in\mathbb{R}. It was shown that for some special values of  χ, the universe is free from the initial singularity, accelerated in time, dominated by dark or phantom energy whereas the model is independent of the quadratic gravity corrections. Additional consequences are discussed.  相似文献

From 2000 to 2010, monitoring of radio emission from the Crab pulsar at Xinjiang Observatory detected a total of nine glitches. The occurrence of glitches appears to be a random process as described by previous researches. A persistent change in pulse frequency and pulse frequency derivative after each glitch was found. There is no obvious correlation between glitch sizes and the time since last glitch. For these glitches Δν p and D[(n)\dot]p\Delta\dot{\nu}_{p} span two orders of magnitude. The pulsar suffered the largest frequency jump ever seen on MJD 53067.1. The size of the glitch is ∼6.8×10−6 Hz, ∼3.5 times that of the glitch occurred in 1989 glitch, with a very large permanent changes in frequency and pulse frequency derivative and followed by a decay with time constant ∼21 days. The braking index presents significant changes. We attribute this variation to a varying particle wind strength which may be caused by glitch activities. We discuss the properties of detected glitches in Crab pulsar and compare them with glitches in the Vela pulsar.  相似文献

The neutrino-pair radiation by electrons in a non-quantizing magnetic field B is investigated. For a relativistic degenerate electron gas the emissivity of this process is mainly given by \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ \varepsilon _r = 5 \times 10^{15} (pF/mc)^{4/3} \,B_{13}^{2/3} T_y^{12/8} \,{\rm erg} \times {\rm cm}^{ - 3} \times {\rm sec}^{- 1} $\end{document} where pF is the electron Fermi momentum. Under typical neutron star conditions at B ∼ 1013G neutrino synchrotron radiation appears to be one of the most effective mechanisms of neutrino energy loss in the envelopes of neutron stars; this mechanism may also compete with other known neutrino production mechanisms in the neutron star cores if pion condensate or quark matter is absent.  相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to find the eclipse perturbations, in the frequency-domain, of close eclipsing systems exhibiting partial eclipses.After a brief introduction, in Section 2 we shall deal with the evaluation of thea n (l) integrals for partial eclipses and give them in terms ofa 0 0 ,a 0 0 (of the associated -functions) and integrals; while Section 3 gives the eclipse perturbations arising from the tidal and rotational distortion of the two components. The are given for uniformly bright discs (h=1) as well as for linear and quadratic limb-darkening (h=2 and 3, respectively).Finally, Section 4 gives a brief discussion of the results and the way in which they can be applied to practical cases.  相似文献

Referring to the aerodynamic drag force, we present an analytical model to predict the arrival time of coronal mass ejections (CMEs). All related calculations are based on the expression for the deceleration of fast CMEs in the interplanetary medium (ICMEs), [(v)\dot]=-\frac115 700(v-VSW)2\dot{v}=-\frac{1}{15\,700}(v-V_{\mathrm{SW}})^{2} , where V SW is the solar wind speed. The results can reproduce well the observations of three typical parameters: the initial speed of the CME, the speed of the ICME at 1 AU and the transit time. Our simple model reveals that the drag acceleration should be really the essential feature of the interplanetary motion of CMEs, as suggested by Vršnak and Gopalswamy (J. Geophys. Res. 107, 1019, 2002).  相似文献

Using a new approach, we have obtained a formula for calculating the rotation period and radius of planets. In the ordinary gravitomagnetism the gravitational spin (S) orbit (L) coupling, $\vec{L}\cdot\vec{S}\propto L^{2}$ , while our model predicts that $\vec{L}\cdot\vec{S}\propto\frac{m}{M}L^{2}$ , where M and m are the central and orbiting masses, respectively. Hence, planets during their evolution exchange L and S until they reach a final stability at which MSmL, or $S\propto\frac{m^{2}}{v}$ , where v is the orbital velocity of the planet. Rotational properties of our planetary system and exoplanets are in agreement with our predictions. The radius (R) and rotational period (D) of tidally locked planet at a distance a from its star, are related by, $D^{2}\propto\sqrt{\frac{M}{m^{3}}}R^{3}$ and that $R\propto\sqrt{\frac {m}{M}}a$ .  相似文献

Due to the recent all-sky, high-precision measurement of microwave background anisotropies by WMAP, a value for baryon-to-photon ratio η was obtained. At the WMAP value for η, the 4HE abundance was predicted. In this article we use a simple semi-analytical method with 4He predicted and measured values to place a limit on the variation of the gravitational constant G. We find using a conservative range for the measured values for Y p , that ΔG/G is constrained between −0.26 and 0.15. If we assume a monotonic power law time dependence Gt β then β values is constrained between −0.008 and 0.0038, which translate into . This compares well with results obtained by others using full numerical analysis.   相似文献

To investigate the \(M_\bullet -\sigma \) relation, we consider realistic elliptical galaxy profiles that are taken to follow a single power-law density profile given by \(\rho (r) = \rho _{0}(r/ r_{0})^{-\gamma }\) or the Nuker intensity profile. We calculate the density using Abel’s formula in the latter case by employing the derived stellar potential; in both cases. We derive the distribution function f(E) of the stars in the presence of the supermassive black hole (SMBH) at the center and hence compute the line-of-sight (LoS) velocity dispersion as a function of radius. For the typical range of values for masses of SMBH, we obtain \(M_{\bullet } \propto \sigma ^{p}\) for different profiles. An analytical relation \(p = (2\gamma + 6)/(2 + \gamma )\) is found which is in reasonable agreement with observations (for \(\gamma = 0.75{-}1.4\), \(p = 3.6{-}5.3\)). Assuming that a proportionality relation holds between the black hole mass and bulge mass, \(M_{\bullet } =f M_\mathrm{b}\), and applying this to several galaxies, we find the individual best fit values of p as a function of f; also by minimizing \(\chi ^{2}\), we find the best fit global p and f. For Nuker profiles, we find that \(p = 3.81 \pm 0.004\) and \(f = (1.23 \pm 0.09)\times 10^{-3}\) which are consistent with the observed ranges.  相似文献

The fluxes of 3He, 4He, C, O, and Fe ions at low energies (about \(0.04\,\mbox{--} \,2~\mbox{MeV}/\mbox{nucleon}\)) are studied during quiet periods in Solar Cycles (SC) 23 and 24 using data from the ULEIS/ACE instrument. In selecting quiet periods (the definition is given in Section 2.1), additional data from EPHIN/SOHO and EPAM/ACE were also used. The analysis of the ion energy spectra and their relative abundances shows that their behavior is governed by their first-ionization potential. Substantial differences in the ion energy spectra in two consecutive solar cycles are observed during the quiet periods selected. Quiet-time fluxes are divided into three distinct types according to the \({\sim}\,80\,\mbox{--}\,320~\mbox{keV}/\mbox{nucleon}\) Fe/O ratio. Our results confirm the earlier observation that these types of suprathermal particles have different origins, that is, they represent different seed populations that are accelerated by different processes. Except for the solar activity minimum, the Fe/O ratio during quiet-time periods correspond either to the abundances of ions in particle fluxes accelerated in impulsive solar flares or to the mean abundances of elements in the solar corona. At the activity minimum, this ratio takes on values that are characteristic for the solar wind. These results indicate that the background fluxes of low-energy particles in the ascending, maximum, and decay phases of the solar cycle include significant contributions from both coronal particles accelerated to suprathermal energies and ions accelerated in small impulsive solar flares rich in Fe, while the contribution of remnants from earlier SEP events cannot be excluded. The comparison of suprathermal ion abundances during the first five years of SC 23 and SC 24 suggests that the quiet-time and non-quiet fluxes of Fe and 3He were lower in SC 24.  相似文献

Detailed analyses by independent research groups over several decades reveal a significant discrepancy between the observed rate of periastron advance in the detached eclipsing binary star systems DI Herculis and V541 Cygni and the values theoretically predicted from the combined classical and general relativistic effects. A modification to Newton’s gravitational theory is proposed in this investigation to account for these discrepancies, and is represented by
F = - \fracGm1m2r3r - \fracGom1m2r2r\mathbf{F} = - \frac{Gm_{1}m_{2}}{r^{3}}\boldsymbol{r} - \frac{G_{o}m_{1}m_{2}}{r^{2}}\boldsymbol{r}  相似文献

WASP-33 is a fast rotating, main sequence star which hosts a hot Jupiter moving along a retrograde and almost polar orbit with semi-major axis a=0.02 au and eccentricity provisionally set to e=0. The quadrupole mass moment J2*J_{2}^{\star} and the proper angular momentum S of the star are 1900 and 400 times, respectively, larger than those of the Sun. Thus, huge classical and general relativistic non-Keplerian orbital effects should take place in such a system. In particular, the large inclination Ψ of the orbit of WASP-33b to the star’s equator allows to consider the node precession [(W)\dot]\dot{\Omega} and the related time variation dt d /dt of the transit duration t d . The WASP-33b node rate due to J2*J_{2}^{\star} is 9×109 times larger than the same effect for Mercury induced by the Sun’s oblateness, while the general relativistic gravitomagnetic node precession is 3×105 times larger than the Lense-Thirring effect for Mercury due to the Sun’s rotation. We also consider the effect of the centrifugal oblateness of the planet itself and of a putative distant third body X. The magnitudes of the induced time change in the transit duration are of the order of 3×10−6,2×10−7,8×10−9 for J2*J_{2}^{\star}, the planet’s rotational oblateness and general relativity, respectively. A yet undiscovered planet X with the mass of Jupiter orbiting at more than 1 au would induce a transit duration variation of less than 4×10−9. A conservative evaluation of the accuracy in measuring dt d /dt over 10 yr points towards ≈10−8. The analysis presented here will be applicable also to other exoplanets with similar features if and when they will ne discovered.  相似文献
