In August 2009, a marine geophysical survey was conducted in Lake Tequesquitengo (located in the state of Morelos, Mexico) to delineate the extent of the remains of a small town that has been submerged since the mid 19th century. The survey consists of the acquisition and mapping of magnetic, single beam bathymetric and side-scan sonar data. A dual receiver marine GPS navigation system was used to position the boat during the survey. Except for the larger structural remains that are visible on the side scan sonar images, the magnetic anomaly map proved to be most useful in delineating the extent of the town. These anomalies exhibit short wavelength components in the area surrounding a submerged church, with the shortest wavelength components being confined to the area immediately east of the church. These short wavelength components are only observed near the church; therefore, we propose that they delineate the buried remnants of the submerged town.  相似文献

Taking continuous spatiotemporal in situ measurements with multi‐probes in fast‐flowing waters/rivers can be problematic because the sensors may be damaged by high shear forces and flotsam. To protect the multi‐probe and to enable easy access for the maintenance and calibration of the sensors, a special multi‐probe holder fixed in a hydrographic slot was developed. The validation of the probe system revealed a “memory effect” at short time scales (< 10 s) within sharp gradients caused by the overflow container of the multi‐probe rack keeping the sensors submerged in the sample water. Continuously recorded data (conductivity, temperature, pH, oxygen concentration and saturation, as well as in vivo fluorescence of chlorophyll‐a) from a research cruise on board the RV ALBIS along the river Elbe (river km 309) and entering the river Saale are presented. This river stretch upstream of the city of Magdeburg to the mouth of the Saale tributary was found to have a complex physicochemical character, which is attributable to the long mixing process of water from the river Saale and the river Elbe.  相似文献

随着无人地震监测点的不断增加,其防盗问题便摆在我们面前.文章介绍了在无人地震监测点安置防盗装置,在检测到有人非法入侵盗窃的信号时,其报警消息通过手机 Modem 板以手机短信的方式通知相关工作人员进行处理.文中对防盗装置、手机 Modem 板、单片机的硬件组成进行了描述,对单片机的控制程序作了介绍.以这种传递报警信号的工作方式对于无人值守地震台是比较可行的,对减少地震台站损失,提高运转连续率和工作质量,具有一定实用价值.  相似文献

乌梁素海沉水植物群落光谱特征及冠层水深影响分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
沉水植物对于改善富营养化水体和重建水生生态系统起着至关重要的作用.应用遥感技术可以实时、大面积监测沉水植物的分布和生长情况,而冠层水深直接影响沉水植物在湖泊、河流中的准确遥感解译.本研究基于实测光谱数据,分析了乌梁素海沉水植物光谱特征,并研究了冠层水深对乌梁素海沉水植物反射光谱的影响,建立了乌梁素海沉水植物冠层水深反演模型.结果表明:1)挺水植物在短波红外1662 nm和2223 nm附近分别有一个反射峰,这是挺水植物区别于沉水植物和漂浮藻类的重要波段; 0深度沉水植物(WDC=0)与漂浮藻类的光谱反射率非常接近,但是在绿波段(550~690 nm)有明显差异,因此,可以利用绿波段和短波红外波段的光谱特征来区分挺水植物、沉水植物和漂浮藻类.2)沉水植物群落的光谱反射率随冠层水深的增加而降低,在700~900 nm波段范围内变化最为明显,且在700~735 nm波段附近,沉水植物群落光谱反射率与冠层水深呈显著负相关.3)在建立的单波段/波段比沉水植物冠层水深反演模型中,波段比反演模型要优于单波段反演模型,波段比反演模型的决定系数R2 0.70,均方根误差13.70 cm,平均相对误差28%,反演精度较好,适用于10~60 cm沉水植物冠层水深的反演.4)利用波段响应函数,将实测光谱反射率积分到Landsat-8 OLI波段上,建立OLI了冠层水深反演模型,其中,波段比幂函数模型反演效果最好,R2为0.49,均方根误差为18.17 cm,平均相对误差40.05%.可用于精确大气校正后乌梁素海沉水植物冠层水深的反演.  相似文献

Measurement of magnetic properties of steel sheets   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Magnetic methods are used in detection of environmental, engineering and military objects fabricated of thin ferromagnetic sheets having volume susceptibilities higher than 100 SI units. Magnetic modelling of such objects would be advantageous, but it requires knowledge of the susceptibility and remanence values of sheet materials, which is scarce. We introduce a magnetometer method for the determination of susceptibility and remanence on thin steel samples. The area of the sample must be so large that its within-sheet magnetization remains below the saturation state. The measurements are made in normal office surroundings in the Earth's magnetic field with an ordinary fluxgate magnetometer. The square-shaped sheet samples measured in this work have an edge length of 17.5 cm and a thickness in the range 0.5–1.0 mm. During the measuring procedure the sample is placed in four positions on a subvertical measurement board. For each position, the magnetic field in the dip direction of the board plane is measured on the opposite sides of the sample. The secondary field values are averaged for each sample position in order to reduce the effect of sample inhomogeneities. With these data, the susceptibility and remanence of the sample in its edge directions are then determined, based on a model curve which is calculated numerically using thin-sheet integral equations. The susceptibilities measured for different steel types (cold rolled and hot-dip zinc-coated steel sheets) varied in the range 200–500 SI units, and the remanence varied in the range 1000–20 000 A/m. No systematic differences were observed between the magnetic properties of various steel types. The repeatability of the susceptibility measurements was good (variations < 5%) but the remanence could be changed by 50% between repeated determinations. The measured susceptibility range signifies that pieces of steel with a typical thickness of 0.5 mm remain below magnetic saturation when their edge dimension is larger than 5 cm. Therefore magnetic modelling of larger steel pieces must be made using the thin-sheet theory with known magnetic properties, whereas smaller saturated pieces can be alternatively modelled as an equipotential system.  相似文献

The laboratory analogue model described by Miles et al. (1977) for the case of a uniform depth ocean is extended to study ocean-wave induced magnetic fields for cases of non-uniform ocean depths and sea-land interfaces. The models studied are: (i) the step and shelf model, (ii) the wedge and shelf model, (iii) the dyke model, (iv) the sea mount model, (v) the sloping bay and shelf model, and (vi) the reef and shelf model. For shallow depths, the behaviour of the induced magnetic field is strongly dependent on the fluid depth over the structure. The shape of the leading edge of the submerged structure, and the contour of the coastline also significantly affect the induced horizontal magnetic field, and possible mechanisms for these effects include wave interference and current channelling. On the basis of the model results, it is apparent that an irregular ocean bottom, or a large submerged structure, should affect the induced magnetic field at the surface only for rather shallow ocean depths of less than 40 m for a fluid wavelength of 360 m.  相似文献

The results of comprehensive field testing of on‐site vapor‐phase‐based groundwater monitoring methods are presented to demonstrate their utility as a robust and cost‐effective approach for rapidly obtaining volatile organic compounds (VOCs) concentration data from a monitoring well. These methods—which rely on sensitive, commercially available field equipment to analyze vapor in equilibrium with groundwater—proved easy to implement and can be tailored to site‐specific needs, including multilevel sampling. During field testing, low‐flow groundwater concentrations could be reasonably estimated using submerged passive vapor diffusion samplers or field equilibration of collected groundwater (R2 = 0.85 to 0.96). These two methods are not as reliant on in‐well mixing to overcome vertical stratification within wells as simpler headspace methods. The importance of well and aquifer‐specific factors on concentration data (and therefore method selection) is highlighted, including the effect of changing in‐well patterns due to seasonal temperature gradients. Results indicated that vertical stratification was relatively limited within the set of wells included in these studies, resulting in similar performance for short depth‐discrete passive vapor diffusion samplers (constructed from 40‐mL vials) and longer samplers (2.5 to 5 feet in length) designed to cover a larger portion of the screened interval. A year‐long, multi‐event evaluation demonstrated that vapor‐phase‐based monitoring methods are no more variable than conventional groundwater monitoring methods, with both types subject to similar spatial and temporal variability that can be difficult to reduce. Vapor sampling methods represent a promising approach for estimation of groundwater concentrations by reducing the cost liabilities associated with monitoring while providing a more sustainable approach.  相似文献

Compressional waves with periods greater than 2 min (about 10–30 min) at low geomagnetic latitudes, namely compressional Pc5 waves, are studied. The data set obtained with magnetometer MIF-M and plasma analyzer instrument CORALL on board the Interball-1 are analyzed. Measurements performed in October 1995 and October 1996 in the dawn plasma sheet at −30 RE ≤ XGSM and |ZGSM| ≤ 10 RE are considered. Anti-phase variations of magnetic field and ion plasma pressures are analyzed by searching for morphological similarities in the two time series. It is found that longitudinal and transverse magnetic field variations with respect to the background magnetic field are of the same order of magnitude. Plasma velocities are processed for each time period of the local dissimilarity in the pressure time series. VeloCity disturbances occur mainly transversely to the local field line. The data reveal the rotation of the veloCity vector. Because of the field line curvature, there is no fixed position of the rotational plane in the space. These vortices are localized in the regions of anti-phase variations of the magnetic field and plasma pressures, and the vortical flows are associated with the compressional Pc5 wave process. A theoretical model is proposed to explain the main features of the nonlinear wave processes. Our main goal is to study coupling of drift Alfven wave and magnetosonic wave in a warm inhomogeneous plasma. A vortex is the partial solution of the set of the equations when the compression is neglected. A compression effect gives rise to a nonlinear soliton-like solution.  相似文献

As pulsations and circulating currents are caused by solar activity, a short survey is given of how to recognise solar influences on terrestrial magnetism, and particularly the hypotheses of Balfour Stewart and the two treatises of Arthur Schuster about the daily variations. In meteorology and geomagnetism, photographic self-registering equipment was developed in Greenwich and Kew; E. Mascart and M. Eschenhagen continued this line. With the help of his “Feinregistriergerät” (quick-run magnetograph) Eschenhagen could for the first time record pulsations more precisely. Through short-time simultaneous observations suggested by him, the course of a terrestrial magnetic disturbance could be pursued. This disturbance was identified by A. Schmidt in 1899 as a moving circulating current in the upper layer of the atmosphere.  相似文献

The system consists of three magnetic variometers with electrical output signals for theH, D, andZ components, a proton magnetometer for the total field, a data acquisition system, two cassette recorders, an analogue chart recorder, a calendar clock, and a telex. The analogue and digital input data are sampled at 10 sec intervals, averaged over a minute, and recorded on a magnetic tape cassette. The computed hourly and daily mean values and the daily minimum and maximum values are recorded together with the occurrence times on a second cassette, at the operator's request. Rapid run recording of the 10 sec values of each measured component is initiated automatically during magnetic storms.DIMARS incorporates several test functions as ROM test, A/D converter test, recorder test, telexline test and checking the memory content. 在传统模拟式力平衡加速度传感器技术的基础上,通过改进传感器机械结构、内嵌高精度采集器等方法,设计了1款数字化力平衡加速度传感器。针对传感器中三通道模数转换要求完全同步、高分辨率、高采样率等技术难点,本文选用高精度ADS1294模数转换器,以同1个驱动信号完成三通道同步模数转换,实现低干扰、高分辨率的模数转换;采用高速ARM微处理器对模数转换数据进行大容量数据存储、高速数据通讯、数据处理、波形显示和电源管理;采用高精度线性电源芯片作为可开关控制的高精度电源,实现仪器整机低功耗管理。该数字化力平衡加速度传感器实现了大动态测量范围、三通道同步数据转换、高达1000Hz的采样率,且具有网络通讯接口等功能。  相似文献

Magnetic fabric allows to unravel the petrofabrics of sedimentary rocks and to assess their deformational history. The use of this technique, in addition to classical structural field observations in the limbs of seven asymmetric folds in the Pyrenees, helps to determine the differences of internal deformation as well as the folding kinematics. Three folds developed during the Variscan Orogeny in Ordovician and Devonian rocks, and four folds developed during the Pyrenean Orogeny in Eocene rocks, are studied. Folds show a variety of structural locations, in different thrust sheets of the Southern Central Pyrenees, different cleavage development, age, geometry and lithology. Sampling follows an equivalent lithological layer in the two limbs, except for one case, of the selected folds. Results show a modified tectonic magnetic fabric in most sites with the magnetic lineation on the tectonic foliation plane. A larger scattering of the magnetic lineation (maximum magnetic anisotropy axis) and a higher intensity of the preferred orientation of minerals (eccentricity of the anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility - AMS ellipsoid) is better observed in the overturned (short) limb of the asymmetric Variscan folds than in the normal (long) limb. On the other hand, the shape parameter in Alpine folds is generally larger in the overturned (short) limb then in the normal (long) one. A good clustering of the minimum magnetic anisotropy axes is observed in all limbs. The combination of the AMS data with the structural data helps to understand and better constrain the deformation degree in these asymmetric folds and to unravel the deformational history.  相似文献

A 3-D shallow-water flow model has been developed to simulate the flow in coastal vegetated waters with short waves. The model adopts the 3-D phase-averaged shallow-water flow equations with radiation stresses induced by short waves. It solves the governing equations using an implicit finite volume method based on quadtree rectangular mesh in the horizontal plane and stretching mesh in the vertical direction. The flow model is coupled with a spectral wave deformation model called CMS-Wave. The wave model solves the spectral wave-action balance equation and provides wave characteristics to the flow model. The model considers the effects of vegetation on currents and waves by including the drag and inertia forces of vegetation in the momentum equations and the wave energy loss due to vegetation resistance in the wave-action balance equation. The model has been tested using several sets of laboratory experiments, including steady flows in a straight channel with submerged vegetation and in a compound channel with vegetated floodplain and random waves through a vegetated channel and on a vegetated beach slope. The calculated water levels, current velocities, and wave heights are in general good agreement with the measured data.  相似文献

A thin layer element method is formulated to compute the dynamic response of submerged soil. The formulation is based on Biot's equation describing the dynamic behavior of fluid-saturated elasto-porous medium. The dynamic response of submerged soil is computed for various cases by using the developed formulation. The effects of submerged conditions are examined for submerged soil deposits with a water level at and above the ground surface. It is found that both submerged conditions and water body above the ground surface can considerably affect the dynamic response of soil deposits.  相似文献

A detailed aeromagnetic survey of the Republic of Djibouti and immediate surroundings was performed in 1977. This paper summarizes the reduction techniques which are used in order to produce a magnetic anomaly map and discusses the accuracy of this map, which is presented as an insert at a scale of 1/250,000. Two distinct magnetic styles are recognized: linear anomalies with both large amplitude and short wavelength, considered to be typical of oceanic lithosphere, contrast with areas of lower-amplitude longer-wavelength anomalies, which are found mostly in the northern part of the survey. This quiet zone of subdued magnetic style is thought to have undergone major tectonic deformation in the last millions of years. The general morphology of magnetic anomalies is interpreted in terms of a propagating crack model, as proposed by Courtillot [23]. The crack propagates westwards at approximately 3 cm/yr and the crack tip is thought to lie close to Lake Asal, both on the basis of the magnetic data and of other geophysical evidence. The land section of the survey is a central topic of this paper and is interpreted in terms of the crack propagation model in the light of other available geological, geochemical and geophysical data.  相似文献

The plasma-wave experiment ASPI (analysis of spectra of plasma waves and instabilities) on board the INTERBALL spacecraft is a combined wave diagnostics experiment. It performs measurements of the DC and AC magnetic field vector by flux-gate and searchcoil sensors, the DC and AC electric field vector by Langmuir double probes and the plasma current by Langmuir split probe. Preliminary data analysis shows the low noise levels of the sensors and the compatibility of new data with the results of previous missions. During several months of in-orbit operation a rich collection of data was acquired, examples of which at the magnetopause and plasma sheet are presented in second part of the paper.  相似文献
