An impact model of gravity designed to emulate Newton’s law of gravitation is applied to particles with relative motions at slow and relativistic speeds. Based on this model, a gravitational interaction mode is then conceived between photons and massive particles. This implies a deflection perpendicular to the propagation direction of a photon twice as large as expected from the mass-energy relation of photons—in accordance with observations and the General Theory of Relativity. The longitudinal interaction is compatible with the energy and momentum conservation principles applied to massless entities, and the results are consistent with the observed Shapiro delay. 相似文献

Nonlinear ion acoustic solitary wave structures in electron-positron-ion (e-p-i) magnetized rotating plasmas is studied. The electron and positron species are assumed to be nonthermal and follow the kappa distribution function. The Korteweg de Vries (kdV) equation is derived by employing the reductive perturbation technique for solitary wave in the nonlinear regime. The variation in the amplitude and width of the solitary wave are discussed with the effects of positron concentration, temperature ratio of kappa distributed electrons to positrons, spectral index of the positrons, direction of propagation of the wave with magnetic field and effective gyrofrequency of the rotating nonthermal plasmas. The numerical results are also presented for illustration. 相似文献

In the present investigation, we have studied the linear and nonlinear propagation of electrostatic waves in a dense magnetoplasma with trapped electrons. Using the small amplitude approximation, formation of solitary structures has been studied both for fully and partially degenerate plasmas. The theoretical results obtained have been analyzed numerically for the parameters typically found in white dwarfs. The present work may be beneficial to understand the propagation of solitary structures with weak transverse perturbation with special reference to white dwarf asteroseismology. 相似文献

The nonlinear properties of solitary waves structure in a hot magnetized dusty plasma consisting of a negatively charged,
extremely massive hot dust fluid, positively charged hot ion fluid and vortex-like distributed electrons, are reported. A
modified Korteweg de Vries equation (mKdV) which admits a solitary wave solution for small but finite amplitude is derived
using a reductive perturbation theory. The modifications in the amplitude and width of the solitary wave structures due to
the inclusion of an external magnetic field and dust and ions temperature are investigated.

Obliquely propagating nonlinear structures in dense dissipative electron positron ion magnetoplasmas
Nonlinear electrostatic waves in dense dissipative magnetized electron-positron-ion (e-p-i) plasmas are investigated employing
the quantum hydrodynamic model. In this regard, Zakharov Kuznetsov Burgers (ZKB) equation is derived in dense plasmas using
the small amplitude perturbation expansion method. It is observed that obliqueness, positron concentration, kinematic viscosity,
and the ambient magnetic field significantly alter the structure of nonlinear quantum ion acoustic waves in dense dissipative
e-p-i magnetoplasmas. The present study may be useful to understand the nonlinear propagation characteristics of electrostatic
shock structures in dense astrophysical systems where the quantum effects are expected to dominate. 相似文献

This article presents the first study of the head-on collision of two ion-acoustic solitary waves (IASWs) in magnetized plasmas with nonextensive electrons and positrons using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method. The effects of the ion gyro-frequency to ion plasma frequency ratio, the positron to ion number density ratio, the electrons temperature to positrons temperature ratio, and the nonextensive parameter q on the phase shifts are investigated. It is shown that these factors significantly modify the phase shifts. 相似文献

A rigorous theoretical investigation has been made on the obliquely propagating dust-acoustic (DA) waves in a magnetized dusty plasmas consisting of distinct temperature q-distributed electrons with distinct strength of nonextensivities, nonthermal ions and negatively charged mobile dust grains, and analyzed by deriving the Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation. It is found that the characteristics and the properties of the DA solitary waves (DASWs) are significantly modified by the external magnetic field, relative temperature ratio of ions, relative number densities of electrons as well as ions, the nonextensivity of electrons, nonthermality of ions and the obliqueness of the system. The possible implications of the results obtained from this analysis in space and laboratory dusty plasmas are briefly addressed. 相似文献

In the present work, we have considered the nonlinear effects due to trapped electrons in an inhomogeneous degenerate quantum plasma. The formation of drift solitary structures has been investigated for both fully and partially degenerate plasmas. The Sagdeev potential approach has been employed to obtain arbitrary amplitude solitary structures. Interestingly, for a fixed value of density, not only compressive but rarefactive solitary structures have been obtained for a certain temperature range. Furthermore, it has been observed that the drift solitary structures exist only for the case when the drift velocity is smaller than the velocity of the nonlinear structure. The theoretical results obtained have been analyzed numerically for the parameters typically found in white dwarfs and the relevance of the results with regard to white dwarf asteroseismology is also pointed out. 相似文献

Ion–acoustic double layers has been studied in magnetized electron-positron-ion plasma. The modified Korteweg-de Vries (m-KdV) is derived using reductive perturbation method. It is found that for the selected set of parameters, the system supports rarefactive (compressive) double layers depending upon the values of cold electron concentration (μ). It is also found that the magnetization affects only the width of the double layer. For a given set of parameter values, as we increases the magnetization, the width of the double layer increases and an increases in the obliqueness θ, where θ is the angle between wave vector and magnetic field, the width of the double layer also increases. The angle of obliqueness θ does not affects the amplitude of the double layer. It is also investigated that for the given set of parameter values, on increasing the positron concentration the amplitude of the rarefactive (compressive) double layer decreases (increases), and the width of the rarefactive (compressive) double layer increases (decreases). The effect of the temperature ratios of ions and positron on the amplitude and width of the double layers are discussed. 相似文献

The low-frequency acoustic-like modes in a pair plasma (electron-positron or pair-ion) is studied by employing a kinetic theory model based on the Vlasov and Poisson’s equations with emphasizing the Tsallis’s nonextensive statistics. The possibility of the acoustic-like modes and their properties in both fully symmetric and temperature-asymmetric cases are examined by studying the dispersion relation, Landau damping and instability of modes. The resultant dispersion relation in this study is compatible with the acoustic branch of the experimental data (Oohara et al. in Phys. Rev. Lett. 95:175003, 2005) in which the electrostatic waves have been examined in a pure pair-ion plasma. Particularly, our study reveals that the occurrence of growing or damped acoustic-like modes depends strongly on the nonextensivity of the system as a measure for describing the long-range Coulombic interactions and correlations in the plasma. The mechanism that leads to the unstable modes lies in the heart of the nonextensive formalism yet, the mechanism of damping is the same developed by Landau. Furthermore, the solutions of acoustic-like waves in an equilibrium Maxwellian pair plasma are recovered in the extensive limit (q→1), where the acoustic modes have only the Landau damping and no growth. 相似文献

The nonlinear amplitude modulation of dust-ion acoustic wave (DIAW) is studied in the presence of nonextensive distributed electrons in dusty plasmas with stationary dust particles. Using the reductive perturbation method (RPM), the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) which governs the modulational instability (MI) of the DIAWs is obtained. Modulational instability regions and the growth rate of nonlinear waves are discussed. It is shown that the wave characters are affected by the value of nonextensive parameter and also relative density of plasma constituents. 相似文献

The combined effects of the obliqueness and nonextensive electrons are incorporated in the study of ion-acoustic (IA) solitary waves in a magnetized electron-positron-ion (e-p-i) plasma. The nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation is derived by using the reductive perturbation method. The plasma parameters such as, the degree of nonextensivity, obliqueness, positron concentration and temperature ratio are found to significantly affect the solitary waves characteristics. Also, a critical value of nonextensivity is found for which solitary structures transit from positive to negative potential. Our finding contributes to the physics of the nonlinear electrostatic excitation in astrophysical and cosmological scenarios like magnetosphere, polar cups region of pulsars, neutron stars and white dwarfs, etc., where magnetized e-p-i plasma can exist. 相似文献

A theoretical investigation is carried out for understanding the basic features of oblique propagation of linear and nonlinear
ion-acoustic waves subjected to an external magnetic field in an electron-positron-ion plasma which consists of a cold magnetized
ion fluid, Boltzmann distributed positron, and electrons obeying a trapped distribution. In the linear regime, two dispersion
curves are obtained. It is shown that the positron concentration causes the both modes to propagate with smaller phase velocities.
Then, owing to the presence of resonant electrons, the modified Korteweg-de Vries equation describing the nonlinear dynamics
of small but finite amplitude ion-acoustic waves is derived. It is found that the effects of external magnetic field (obliqueness),
trapped electrons, positron concentration and temperature ratio significantly modify the basic features of solitary waves. 相似文献

Nonlinear propagation of dust-acoustic waves in an unmagnetized dusty plasma consisting of negatively charged mobile dust, nonextensive ions following nonextensive q-distribution and two distinct temperature superthermal electrons following superthermal kappa distribution each, is investigated by employing lower and higher order nonlinear equations, namely the Korteweg-de-Vries (K-dV), the modified Korteweg-de-Vries (mK-dV) and the Gardner equations. The characteristic features of the hump (positive potential) and dip (negative potential) shaped dust-acoustic (DA) Gardner solitons are found to exist beyond the K-dV limit. The effects of two superthermal temperature electrons and ions nonextensivity on the basic characteristics of DA K-dV, mK-dV and Gardner solitons have also been investigated. It has been found that the DA Gardner solitons exhibit either negative or positive potential solitons only for q<q c where, q c is the critical value of the nonextensive parameter q. The possible applications of our results in understanding the localized nonlinear electrostatic structures existing in solar atmosphere, Saturn’s magnetosphere etc. (where the tails of the high energetic particles at different temperatures follow power-law like distribution) are also briefly discussed. 相似文献

The positron acoustic shock and solitary wave are explored in nonextensive electron-positron-ion plasma. The plasma system under-consideration, consists of a classical positron beam, q distributed electrons and positively charged bulky ions constitute a neutralizing background. The nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries and Burger equations are derived by employing the standard reductive perturbation method. The positron acoustic wave in linear limit is also discussed for dissipative as well as nondissipative cases of nonextensive plasmas. The plasma parameters such as, the concentration of neutralizing ions background, beam velocity, temperature and q parameter of the nonextensive electrons are noticed to significantly affect the positron acoustic shock and solitary waves. Our findings may be helpful in the understanding of laboratory beam plasma interaction experiments as well as the astrophysical nonextensive plasmas interacting with positron beam. 相似文献

The analytic function of relativistic nonextensive distribution is given, and employed to solve the Landau damping of longitudinal oscillation in ultra-relativistic plasmas. The unified expression of Landau damping which reduces to the result in relativistic Maxwellian distributed plasmas in the extensive limit is obtained, and find that Landau damping is relevant to both the number and energy of resonant particles, which described by temperature and nonextensive parameters in relativistic nonextensive distribution. 相似文献

Wave conversion mechanisms causing large-frequency shifts are considered for an electron-positron plasma in a strong magnetic field. In particular, we discuss the effects of the nonlinear erenkov as well as the cyclotron resonances in order to associate pulsar radio-emissions with our present model for nonlinear conversion of high-frequency radiation into the low-frequency region. 相似文献

The effects of Bohm potential on the head-on collision between two quantum electron-acoustic solitary waves (QEASWs) in two
electron species quantum plasma have been investigated using the extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo (PLK) method. The analytical
phase shifts after the head-on collision of the two QEASWs are derived. Numerically, in two cases (i.e., the dense solid state
plasma and the dense astrophysical environments), the results show that the cold electron-to-hot electron number density ratio,
the quantum corrections of diffraction and Fermi temperature of hot electrons have strong effects on the nature of the phase
shifts and the trajectories of two QEASWs after collision. 相似文献

Interaction of dust acoustic solitary waves in plasmas consisting of medium disorders is investigated. Disorders and inhomogeneities
of the medium are added to the equation of motion as perturbative terms through the medium parameters. The effects of these
perturbations on the behaviour of solitary waves are studied with numerical simulations and the results are compared with
theoretical predictions in a uniform media. 相似文献
