A new approach, combining 15NH4+ isotope dilution and continuous-flow techniques, provided estimates of “actual” and “net” NH4+ flux and sediment NH4+ demand (SAD) at the sediment-water interface (SWI) of sites in the northern Gulf of Mexico (NGOMEX). The sites included a hypoxic site (C6), two sites with intermediate oxygen levels (B7 and F5), and a normoxic site (CT). Control cores without isotope addition and other cores from the same site treated with 15NH4+ labeled overflowing water differentiated between net and actual regeneration flux and actual vs. potential uptake flux of NH4+. Experiments were conducted in 2008 before (July) and after (September) two successive hurricanes (Gustav and Ike) and in January and August, 2009. Actual regeneration was significantly higher than net flux at most sites. Net flux did not differ significantly in most sites/dates, but the actual regeneration, and the actual and potential uptake, showed temporal and spatial variation; the flux at the hypoxic site was more active than non-hypoxic sites. SAD, the difference between potential and actual NH4+ uptake flux, was higher at the hypoxic site than at non-hypoxic sites before and after the hurricanes in 2008 and during the hypoxia season in 2009. SAD related negatively to bottom water DO values. Conclusions: (1) net flux often underestimated actual regeneration, (2) hurricane activity decreased N dynamics, and (3) microbial N limitation status at the hypoxic site related to NH4+ removal processes that were independent of oxygen (e.g., anaerobic heterotrophic uptake or anammox). These results indicate a rather consistent NH4+ demand at the SWI during the hypoxic season and suggest that reduced nitrogen may limit microbial dynamics in the region.  相似文献

以植物组织培养技术培养的水花生愈伤组织为实验材料,研究了过量Zn2+(0、0.2、0.4、0.8、1.6 mmol/L)对水花生愈伤组织的氧化损伤及多胺代谢的影响.结果表明,随着Zn2+浓度增加:(1)水花生愈伤组织的超氧阴离子产生速率和硫代巴比妥酸反应物水平显著提升,超氧化物歧化酶活性明显抑制,叶绿素a含量显著降低;(2)精氨酸脱羧酶和鸟氨酸脱羧酶活性均升高,多胺氧化酶和二胺氧化酶活性在低Zn2+浓度处升高、高Zn2+浓度处降低;(3)总腐胺和总精胺含量在低Zn2+浓度处降低、高Zn2+浓度处增加,总亚精胺含量仅在Zn2+浓度为1.6 mmol/L时有显著增加;(4)游离态腐胺含量变化与总腐胺含量相似,游离态亚精胺含量在高Zn2+浓度时下降,游离态精胺含量仅在Zn2+浓度为0.2 mmol/L时略有下降;(5)结合态腐胺和精胺在Zn2+浓度为0.2 mmol/L时下降而在其余处理组中上升,结合态亚精胺含量各处理组中均增加;(6)束缚态腐胺和亚精胺含量均下降.可见,过量Zn2+胁迫导致水花生愈伤组织氧化性损伤,并扰乱其多胺代谢平衡;束缚态多胺向结合态多胺的转化是过量Zn2+胁迫下水花生愈伤组织多胺代谢变化的一个显著特征;以结合态为代表的内源性多胺积累对水花生愈伤组织抵抗过量Zn2+胁迫具有重要意义.  相似文献

研究了不同浓度Hg^2 对水鳖叶片光合放氧速率,呼吸速率、细胞膜透性、硝酸还原酶活性以及超微结构的毒害影响,结果表明,随着Hg^2 浓度的增加,水鳖叶片的光合放氧速率逐渐下降,呼吸速率、硝酸还原酶活性先升后降,而细胞膜透性则逐渐上升,电镜观察发现,水鳖叶细胞受Hg^2 毒初期,染色质凝集,叶绿体中类囊体片层以及线粒体嵴突膨胀,随着叶细胞遭受毒害程度的加深,核膜破裂,染色质与核质消失,叶绿体膨胀解体,线粒体空泡化。  相似文献

Along both sides of the Tancheng-Lujiang Fracture Zone in eastern China, a series of mantle source gas pools constitute a massive-scale tectonic accumulation zone in NNE direction, with the mantle geochemical characteristics of high concentrations of C02 and He, high3He/4He-40Ar/36Ar ratio system and high δ13Coo2 ratios (the main frequency, -3.4%— 4.6%), showing no difference from the tectonic framework of the area. In the area, the tectonic environment is a rift formed as a result of diapiric mantle injection and crust thinning to form graben-type basins and lithospheric fractures. The mantle-derived volcanic rocks and inclusions are well-developed and a high geothermal zone (mantlesource) exists in the area. The characteristics of the three components (solid, liquid and gas) of mantle, concentrated all over the same tectonic space zone, show that the rift system is of a good tectonic environment or passage for mantle degassing and gas migration. The main types of the gas pools are volcano, fault-block, anticline, buried hill and so on, but most of them are combination traps closely related with fracture. For the mantle source gas pools, rift is an optimum tectonic region, and nearby lithospheric fracture, mantle source volcanic rocks or basement uplifts are a favourable structural location when reservoir-caprock association develops.  相似文献

The secular variations (SV) ing 1 0 of geomagnetic field, caused by the interaction between the geomagnetic field and the radial fluid-flow of the outer-core, are discussed with both statistical and analytic methods. When the value ofg 1 0 s 2 0 is relatively high compared with other terms, SV ing 1 0 is characterized by exponential change. When the effect of non-dipole field is notable, SV ing 1 0 shows complex features. Especially when the value of g 1 0 is close to zero, SV ing 1 0 is completely determined by the random process of non-dipole fields. The northwestern flank of the Colli Albani, a Quaternary volcanic complex near Rome, is characterised by high pCO2 values and Rn activities in the groundwater and by the presence of zones with strong emission of gas from the soil. The most significant of these zones is Cava dei Selci where many houses are located very near to the gas emission site. The emitted gas consists mainly of CO2 (up to 98 vol%) with an appreciable content of H2S (0.8–2%). The He and C isotopic composition indicates, as for all fluids associated with the Quaternary Roman and Tuscany volcanic provinces, the presence of an upper mantle component contaminated by crustal fluids associated with subducted sediments and carbonates. An advective CO2 flux of 37 tons/day has been estimated from the gas bubbles rising to the surface in a small drainage ditch and through a stagnant water pool, present in the rainy season in a topographically low central part of the area. A CO2 soil flux survey with an accumulation chamber, carried out in February–March 2000 over a 12 000 m2 surface with 242 measurement points, gave a total (mostly conductive) flux of 61 tons/day. CO2 soil flux values vary by four orders of magnitude over a 160-m distance and by one order of magnitude over several metres. A fixed network of 114 points over 6350 m2 has been installed in order to investigate temporal flux variations. Six surveys carried out from May 2000 to June 2001 have shown large variations of the total CO2 soil flux (8–25 tons/day). The strong emission of CO2 and H2S, which are gases denser than air, produces dangerous accumulations in low areas which have caused a series of lethal accidents to animals and one to a man. The gas hazard near the houses has been assessed by continuously monitoring the CO2 and H2S concentration in the air at 75 cm from the ground by means of two automatic stations. Certain environmental parameters (wind direction and speed; atm P, T, humidity and rainfall) were also continuously recorded. At both stations, H2S and CO2 exceeded by several times the recommended concentration thresholds. The highest CO2 and H2S values were recorded always with wind speeds less than 1.5 m/s, mostly in the night hours. Our results indicate that there is a severe gas hazard for people living near the gas emission site of Cava dei Selci, and appropriate precautionary and prevention measures have been recommended both to residents and local authorities.  相似文献

Vesicle characteristics (vesicularity, largest vesicle size, number of vesicles/cm2), CO213C and CO2-4He-40Ar-40Ar/36Ar in vesicles and CO213C in the glass have been measured in 19 tholeiitic basalt glasses from the Easter Microplate East Ridge (East Pacific Rise) collected at 3 different sites (26°S East Ridge, Pito Seamount and Pito Deep at 23°S).Carbon supersaturation values (Cmelt/Csolubility) vary from 1.3 to 4.3. Carbon supersaturation values are strongly correlated with the number of vesicles/cm2. There is also a correlation between number of vesicles/cm2 and vesicle size. At the Pito Seamount site, there is a negative correlation between carbon supersaturation values and observed carbon isotope fractionation between CO2 in vesicles and carbon dissolved in the glass (Δ13Cobserved). High 4He/40Ar* ratios in vesicles (from 49 to 190) are observed in both the most and least carbon supersaturated samples, while samples with intermediate carbon supersaturation have the lowest 4He/40Ar* ratios (16±1). These correlations show that most quenched melts record different disequilibrium to equilibrium states during closed-system degassing.The samples showing the highest carbon supersaturation (4.3) have the highest 4He/40Ar* (from 94 to 190). This observation shows for the first time that the 4He/40Ar* ratio can be kinetically fractionated during incomplete degassing of magmas from the magma chamber to the seafloor. This result implies that high 4He/40Ar* ratios are not a systematic indicator of open-system degassing (Rayleigh distillation) and that caution should be taken when using this ratio for any degassing correction.A two-stage degassing model, with the first stage being a closed-system degassing occurring between the source and the magma chamber, and the second stage of degassing (with a mode varying from open-system degassing to different degrees of kinetic closed-system degassing) taking place between the magma chamber and eruption on the seafloor, is the most appropriate to describe the degassing of MORB. Reconstructing initial carbon content of the magma prior to degassing and extrapolating the results to the entire ridge system results in a carbon flux of 1.6-0.3+0.6×1014 g/year. This value implies vigorous exchange of carbon between the mantle and the surface throughout geological times.  相似文献

We studied the morphological and biochemical changes of mitochondria-rich cells (MRCs) of a demersal teleost, Paralichthys olivaceus, during exposure to 0.98, 2.97 and 4.95 kPa pCO2. The apical opening area of MRCs increased 2.2 and 4.1 times by 24 h exposure to 2.97 and 4.95 kPa pCO2, respectively, while the cross-sectional area or density of MRCs did not change. Gill Na+/K+-ATPase activity more than doubled at 72 h and then returned to the pre-exposure level at 168 h in 0.98 kPa pCO2, while it increased 1.7 times at 24 h at 4.95 kPa. These results indicate that the apical opening area of MRCs and the gill Na+/K+-ATPase activity may be used as an indicator of acute (up to 72 h), but not chronic, impacts of high (>1 kPa) seawater CO2 conditions in P. olivacues. Limitations of those parameters as indices of CO2 impacts are discussed.  相似文献

黑臭现象在我国东部地区浅水湖泊频繁发生,已经严重影响环湖地区的社会经济发展.厌氧环境和高浓度Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)是引起黑臭现象的必要条件.本文解析巢湖南淝河口区黑臭水团范围内Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)与DO、流速的分布特性;基于空间计量模型重点探讨了流速、DO和Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)分布的空间关联性.结果发现,水体流动在黑臭水团中主要有两个作用:使Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)和DO彼此产生空间相关性以及通过分散作用改变局部Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)浓度分布;同时流速通过增强复氧间接影响Fe~(2+)及S~(2-)总体浓度的作用较小.流速与Fe~(2+)、S~(2-)之间均满足线性空间滞后模型;而线性回归模型中流速对Fe~(2+)的影响低估了约7%,对S~(2-)的影响则低估了12%.  相似文献

以城市污染河道沉积物和上覆水为研究对象,利用模拟实验方法,探讨不同曝气充氧方式(水曝气EW、底泥曝气ES)对污染河道內源铵态氮(NH4+-N)释放的影响.研究结果发现:从间隙水和沉积物中NH4+-N的削减效果来看,底泥曝气均要优于水曝气;实验结束后,底泥曝气组沉积物与间隙水中NH4+-N含量分别减少63.39%和43.33%,水曝气组分别减少了7.54%和13.98%;从沉积物-水界面NH4+-N的扩散通量变化来看,水曝气组界面通量高于对照组,其变化规律与对照组相似;底泥曝气组沉积物-水界面NH4+-N扩散通量变化过程完全不同于其它两组,在整个试验周期内(除第5 d以外),底泥曝气组的通量低于水曝气组,在第15 d最低,为13.73 mg/(m2.d),仅为水曝气组和对照组的14.68%和19.93%,表明底泥曝气组沉积物NH4+-N的释放潜力低于水曝气组沉积物.  相似文献

The air–sea ice CO2 flux was measured over landfast sea ice in the Chukchi Sea, off Barrow, Alaska in late May 2008 with a chamber technique. The ice cover transitioned from a cold early spring to a warm late spring state, with an increase in air temperature and incipient surface melt. During melt, brine salinity and brine dissolved inorganic carbon concentration (DIC) decreased from 67.3 to 18.7 and 3977.6 to 1163.5 μmol kg−1, respectively. In contrast, the salinity and DIC of under-ice water at depths of 3 and 5 m below the ice surface remained almost constant with average values of 32.4±0.3 (standard deviation) and 2163.1±16.8 μmol kg−1, respectively. The air–sea ice CO2 flux decreased from +0.7 to −1.0 mmol m−2 day−1 (where a positive value indicates CO2 being released to the atmosphere from the ice surface). During this early to late spring transition, brought on by surface melt, sea ice shifted from a source to a sink for atmospheric CO2, with a rapid decrease of brine DIC likely associated with a decrease in the partial pressure of CO2 of brine from a supersaturated to an undersaturated state compared to the atmosphere. Formation of superimposed ice coincident with melt was not sufficient to shut down ice–air gas exchange.  相似文献

Measurement of228Ra activities in the upper 300 m water column was conducted at two stations in the South China Sea using an MnO2-fiber extraction/β-counting technique of228Ac. Results showed that228Ra activities ranged from 0.38 to 3.60 Bq · m-3. The vertical profiles of228Ra at the time-series station favored a steady state assumption. Based on a one-dimensional steady state model,228Ra-nitrate coupled approach was applied to stations NS97-43, NS99-53 (T1), NS99-53 (T2). New production thus quantified were 4.4, 5.1 and 5.7 mmolC · m-2 · d-1, respectively,f ratios in the South China Sea were estimated from the derived new production and the documented primary productivity in the regime, to be 0.12–0.15.  相似文献

Taking Huanglong Ravine and Kangding, Sichuan, and Xiage, Zhongdian, Yunnan, as examples, the authors summarize the hydrogeochemical and carbon stable isotopic features of the geothermal CO2-water-carbonate rock system and analyze the CO2 sources of the system. It was found that the hydrogeochemical and carbon stable isotopic features of such a system are different from those of shallow CO2-water-carbonate rock system, which is strongly influenced by biosphere. The former has higher CO2 partial pressure, and is rich in heavy carbon stable isotope. In addition, such a geothermal system is also different from that developed in igneous rock. The water in the latter system lacks Ca2+, and thus, there are few tufa deposits on ground surface, but it is rich in light carbon stable isotope. Further analysis shows that CO2 of the geothermal CO2-water-carbonate rock system is a mixture of metamorphic CO2 and magmatic CO2.  相似文献

The sorption of Eu species onto nano-size silica-water interfaces is investigated at pH range of 1―8.5 and the initial Eu concentrations (CEu) of 2×10−5, 2×10−4 and 2×10−3 M using fluorescence spectroscopy. The sorption rate of Eu is initially low, but significantly increases at pH > 4. For the initial CEu of 2×10−5, 2×10−4 and 2×10−3 M, the dissolved Eu species are completely sorbed onto silica-water interfaces at pH = 4.75, −5.8 and 6.6, respectively, with the respective sorption densities of −1.58×10−8, 1.58×10−7 and 1.58×10−6 mol/m2. The sorbed Eu species at pH < 6 is aquo Eu3+, which is sorbed onto silica-water interfaces as an outer-sphere complex at pH < 5, but may be sorbed as an inner-sphere bidentate complex at 5 < pH < 6, due to the decrease of the NH2O to −6 at pH = 6. At pH = 6 – 8, Eu(OH)2+, Eu(CO3)+and Eu(CO3)2 form in the solutions, and Eu(CO3)+is dominant at pH = −7.5. These ions may be sorbed onto silica-water interfaces as inner-sphere bidentate complexes or multi-nuclear pre-cipitates.  相似文献

This study aims to remove of Cu2+, Cd2+, and Pb2+ ions from solution and to investigate the adsorption isotherms, adsorption kinetics, and ion‐exchange affinities of these metals using waste activated sludge (AS) biomass. The adsorptions of the metals on biomass were optimal at an acidic pH value of 6.0 based on its monolayer capacities. Maximum monolayer capacities of AS biomass (qmax) were calculated as 0.478, 0.358, and 0.280 mmol g?1 for Cu2+, Cd2+, and Pb2+, respectively, and the adsorption equilibrium time was found as 60 min for each metal. The adsorbed amount of metal rose with increasing of initial metal ion concentration. The equilibrium adsorption capacity of AS for initial 0.25 mmol L?1 metal concentration was determined as 0.200, 0.167, and 0.155 mmol g?1 for Cu2+, Cd2+, and Pb2+ ions, respectively. These relevant values were determined as 0.420, 0.305, and 0.282 mmol g?1 for Cu2+, Cd2+, and Pb2+ ions, respectively, when initial metal concentration was 0.50 mmol L?1. In the multi‐metal sorption system, the adsorption capacity of AS biomass was observed in the order of Cu2+ > Cd2+ > Pb2+. In the presence of 100 mmol L?1 H+ ion, the order of ion‐exchange affinity with H+ was found as Cu2+ > Cd2+ > Pb2+. The adsorption kinetics were also found to be well described by the pseudo‐second‐order and intraparticle diffusion models. Two different rate constants were obtained as ki1 and ki2 and ki1 (first stage) was found to be higher than ki2 (second stage).  相似文献

The results from Raman spectroscopy analysis of salt aqueous solutions at −170°C demonstrate that for those clearly sharp iron peaks whose Raman wavenumber is close to each other such as NO 3 and CO 3 2− , their original shape could be restorable by the stripping technique, and that ice’s sharp characteristic peak 3090–3109 cm−1) is steady, while the spectrum band of the complex compound (nCl-[H+-OH]n) chlorine ion combined chemically with water molecule is 3401–3413 cm−1. On the other hand, the research shows that the higher the negative iron concentration, the stronger its Raman characteristic peak intensity and the smaller the ice’s. Based on the number of data and theoretical work, the strong correlation of the molar concentration of negative ion with the S i/S H 2O band area ratio is built up. Moreover, the developed Raman method is successfully used in the component analysis of the field fluid inclusions from Silurian sandstone in Tarim basin.  相似文献

In situ pH profiles are reported for the first time for Lakes Nyos and Monoun. The pH profiles were converted to CO2 profiles using HCO3 profiles calculated from conductivity data. Recent observations (1993–1996) at Lake Nyos indicates that CO2 still accumulates below 180 m depth at a rate of 125 Mmol year−1. At Lake Monoun, the majority of CO2 is present below a depth of 60 m, only 25 m below the saturation depth. Consequently, a potential danger of gas explosion is high at both lakes, and artificial degassing of the lakes should be performed as soon as possible. A system for industrial degassing of the lakes is proposed. The system, based on the self-sustained gas lift principle, consists of multiple pipes (14 cm in diameter) with different intake depths; 12 pipes for Lake Nyos (four each at 185, 195 and 205 m) and three pipes for Lake Monoun (at 70, 80 and 90 m). The stepped degassing at different depths is intended to keep the maximum stability of the lakes. The proposed degassing operation was simulated using the code for both lakes. In 5 years, approximately 50% of currently dissolved CO2 in Lake Nyos and 90% in Lake Monoun will be removed. The expected changes in the thermal and chemical structures of the lakes as degassing proceeds will be most easily monitored with a carefully calibrated CTD equipped with a pH sensor. The simulation indicates that the discharged degassed water will sink to a level of neutral buoyancy, i.e. to a maximum of 70 m at Lake Nyos and 35 m at Lake Monoun. There would be no possibility of triggering a gas explosion by this plunge of discharged water because the water present there would have already been replaced by water at lower CO2 concentration, during the degassing from shallower pipes.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental aspects of the production, transformation, diffusion and loss of N2 in the upper atmosphere are considered. The N2-CO2 near-resonant system in theD andE regions is taken into account. We describe our understanding of the methods necessary to find the vibrational populations of N2 and CO2 (asymmetric mode of CO2). The calculations of the vibrational temperatures in theD, E, andF regions for the mid-latitude ionosphere and an aurora are presented. The connection between the excited species and the 4.26-m radiation intensities is considered. The models for the rate coefficient of the reaction of O+ with N2 and the electron density decrease resulting from N2 in the F region are discussed.  相似文献

水库近岸湿地(消落区)温室气体(CO2、CH4)产汇是水库温室气体效应问题的重要组成部分.本文以三峡水库支流澎溪河的白家溪、养鹿两处大面积消落区为研究对象,于2010年6 9月水库低水位运行期间,对近岸消落区土-气界面CO2、CH4通量进行监测.白家溪消落区土-气界面CO2通量均值为12.38±2.42 mmol/(m2·h);CH4通量均值为0.0112±0.0064 mmol/(m2·h).养鹿消落区CO2、CH4通量均值分别为10.54±5.17、0.14±0.16 mmol/(m2·h).总体上,6 9月土-气界面CO2通量呈增加趋势,而CH4通量水平呈现显著的递减趋势.消落区土地出露后植被恢复,在一定程度上促进了土壤有机质含量的增加,使得6 9月CO2释放通量的总体趋势有所增加.消落区退耕后,其甲烷氧化菌的活性得到恢复,加之在土地出露曝晒过程中土壤透气性增强,使得消落区土壤对大气中CH4吸收氧化潜势增强.尽管如此,仍需进一步的研究以明晰消落区土-气界面CO2、CH4产汇的主要影响因素.  相似文献
