针对云南天文台1.2米望远镜在激光测月中回波光子数太少的问题,将大气湍流效应考虑到激光测月中,研究了互相关和绝对差分两种跟踪算法的原理,并编写了算法程序,利用太阳数据验证了程序的正确性,给出了根据所采集的月面感兴趣区域的图像数据,用不同方法在不同条件下处理所得的大气波前整体倾斜信号,比较了算法的优劣。  相似文献

A program of lunar infrared radiometry which uses large area scanning is described. Procedures for atmospheric attenuation correction and data reduction to temperature by relative radiometry are outlined. The scan data of the waning Moon taken during ten evenings in the 10- to 12-µm window are presented as isothermal contour maps of the lunar disc. More than 160 areas of anomalous thermal emission have been found in the lunar darkside data. These are tabulated and are also shown on an accompanying map. An error analysis, derived from accuracy estimates of the independent parameters, is included.  相似文献

We report on observations of the full Moon brightness temperature covering the frequency range of 300-950 GHz, and also on observations of the lunar eclipse of July 16, 2000, though only covering the frequency range of 165-365 GHz due to poor atmospheric transmission at higher frequencies. All observations were performed from the summit of Mauna Kea (HI) using a Fourier Transform Spectrometer mounted on the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory and supplemented by measurements of the atmospheric opacity using a 183 GHz Water Vapor Monitor. The telescope was pointed to the center of the lunar disk (with a footprint of ∼45-15 km on the Moon at 300 through 900 GHz). In order to obtain the correct values of the Moon brightness temperatures at all frequencies we carefully corrected for the atmospheric absorption, which varies across the submillimeter domain. This correction is fully described. The measured pre-eclipse brightness temperature is around 337 K in the 165-365 GHz range. This temperature slightly increases with frequency to reach ∼353 K at 950 GHz, according to previous broader band data. The magnitude of the temperature drop observed during the eclipse at 265 GHz (central frequency of the band covered) was about ∼70 K, in very good agreement with previous millimeter-wave measurements of other lunar eclipses. We detected, in addition, a clear frequency trend in the temperature drop that has been compared to a thermal and microwave emission model of the lunar regolith, with the result of a good match of the relative flux drop at different frequencies between model and measurements.  相似文献

月球激光测距是国内外所瞩目的宏伟目标 ,代表着单光子探测技术的高峰。本论文的目的是探索提高激光测月回波光子数的新方法 ,进而增加激光测月成功的几率。其思路是源于一个新的想法 :在激光测月过程中引入大气波前倾斜量实时补偿的技术。首先介绍激光测月的现状和其难度所在 :回波光子数太少 ,基本上属于亚光子探测范畴。在现有技术条件下 ,本文对影响激光测月回波光子数的因素逐一进行分析讨论 ,提出应该把激光束截面能量分布和大气湍流效应包括进去。为此分析讨论了大气湍流和大气中光场的基本统计性质、激光束在大气中传输时所受大气湍流的影响以及大气湍流对激光测距的影响 ,得出大气湍流特别对激光测月有着明显影响的结论。在此基础上对传统的激光测距方程进行了修正 ,使其应用到激光测月时更符合真实的情况 ,从而指导补偿的进行。涉及到在激光测月中对受大气湍流而畸变的激光束进行补偿 ,本文抓住重点 ,通过分析看出对大气倾斜量的实时补偿是提高激光测月回波光子数的重要因素。结合激光测月以及云南天文台现有测距系统的实际情况 ,本文独创性地提出利用激光测月目标近旁一定大小区域的扩展面源探测与计算大气倾斜量 ,然后对激光测月中的激光束进行大气倾斜量实时补偿的新技术方法。在分析比较  相似文献

The spacecraft P1 of the new ARTEMIS (Acceleration, Reconnection, Turbulence, and Electrodynamics of the Moon's Interaction with the Sun) mission passed the lunar wake for the first time on February 13, 2010. We present magnetic field and plasma data of this event and results of 3D hybrid simulations. As the solar wind magnetic field was highly dynamic during the passage, a simulation with stationary solar wind input cannot distinguish whether distortions were caused by these solar wind variations or by the lunar wake; therefore, a dynamic real-time simulation of the flyby has been performed. The input values of this simulation are taken from NASA OMNI data and adapted to the P1 data, resulting in a good agreement between simulation and measurements. Combined with the stationary simulation showing non-transient lunar wake structures, a separation of solar wind and wake effects is achieved. An anisotropy in the magnitude of the plasma bulk flow velocity caused by a non-vanishing magnetic field component parallel to the solar wind flow and perturbations created by counterstreaming ions in the lunar wake are observed in data and simulations. The simulations help to interpret the data granting us the opportunity to examine the entire lunar plasma environment and, thus, extending the possibilities of measurements alone: A comparison of a simulation cross section to theoretical predictions of MHD wave propagation shows that all three basic MHD modes are present in the lunar wake and that their expansion governs the lunar wake refilling process.  相似文献

Laboratory measurements of seismic wave velocities and electrical properties of Apollo lunar samples and similar material of terrestrial origin are discussed in this paper. Measurements of the electrical properties show that in the frequency range above a few hundred Hz the outer region of the Moon may be considered as a low loss dielectric. This observation supports a longstanding speculation that dry, powdered rocks in which the dielectric loss tangent is frequency-independent over a wide range of frequency are present in the uppermost lunar surface layers. The surface layers of the Moon are likely to have an extremely low electrical conductivity. Thus future electromagnetic probing of the Moon to a few hundred kilometer depth is possible in the few kHz frequency range. Based on ultrasonic experiments with pressure as a variable, we next present the elastic constants and equations of state of lunar materials and characteristic dispersion of seismic wave velocities of the Moon. We find thatP andS wave velocities increase sharply within the first 30 km depth and then level off gradually. Combining this observation with lunar seismic and geophone data, we believe that the first 30 km of the Moon may be interpreted as a scattering region. If H2O exists on the Moon, H2O may occur at some shallow depth beneath the outermost surface layer in solid ice interlocking cracks and pores and mineral grains. The rocks in this permafrost state have relatively low seismic velocity and highQ. If permafrost does exist, we would expect a wide range of electrical conductivity and dielectric constant. Future electromagnetic probing of the Moon should yield very usefull information on the physical state of the lunar interior; when this electrical information is combined with the seismic information, we should learn much more about the internal constitution and the state of the Moon than is known today.  相似文献

The diagnostic potentialities of the torsional oscillations for probing the structure of the interiors of the Moon are investigated. Models with no core, a liquid core, and a solid core are considered. The profiles of compressional and shear wave velocities V P and V S for the lunar interior estimated by Bills and Ferrari (1977), Goins et al. (1981), and Nakamura (1983) from the Apollo lunar seismic network are used. For all these models, the periods of torsional oscillations for n = 2–100 and four overtones have been calculated. The derivatives of the dimensionless eigenfrequency with respect to the dimensionless shear modulus and density are calculated and tabulated for use. These data can be used to determine corrections to the model density and shear modulus distributions due to their small change. The damping of torsional oscillations is studied. Several trial radial distributions of the dissipative function Q are considered.  相似文献

Possible models for the thermal evolution of the Moon are constrained by a wide assortment of lunar data. In this work, theoretical lunar temperature models are computed taking into account different initial conditions to represent possible accretion models and various abundances of heat sources to correspond to different compositions. Differentiation and convection are simulated in the numerical computational scheme.Models of the thermal evolution of the Moon that fit the chronology of igneous activity on the lunar surface, the stress history of the lunar lithosphere implied by the presence of mascons, and the surface concentrations of radioactive elements, involve extensive differentiation early in lunar history. This differentiation may be the result of rapid accretion and large-scale melting or of primary chemical layering during accretion. Differences in present-day temperatures for these two possibilities are significant only in the inner 1000 km of the Moon and are not resolvable with presently available data.If the Apollo 15 heat flow is a representative value, the average uranium concentration in the moon is 65±15 ppb. This is consistent with achondritic bulk composition (between howardites and eucrites) for the Moon.Paper dedicated to Professor Harold C. Measurements of40Ar and helium made by the Apollo 17 lunar surface mass-spectrometer are used in the synthesis of atmospheric supply and loss mechanisms. The argon data indicate that about 8% of the40Ar produced in the Moon due to decay of40K is released to the atmosphere and subsequently lost. Variability of the atmospheric abundance of argon requires that the source be localized, probably in an unfractionated, partially molten core. If so, the radiogenic helium released with the argon amounts to 10% of the atmospheric helium supply. The total rate of helium escape from the Moon accounts for only 60% of the solar windα particle influx. This seems to require a nonthermal escape mechanism for trapped solar-wind gases, probably involving weathering of exposed soil grain surfaces by solar wind protons.  相似文献

以中国正在实施的探月计划“嫦娥1号”工程为背景,分析了在中国联合S波段(USB)测控网和甚长基线射电干涉(VLBI)跟踪网的现有空间分布、观测精度水平下的环月飞行器精密定轨.采用的方法是模拟仿真计算,即首先模拟观测数据,然后在计入各误差源的影响后进行求解,并对解算结果进行比较.模拟仿真的工具是美国宇航局哥达德飞行中心的空间数据分析软件系统GEODYN.环月飞行的主要误差源是月球重力场,为此首先讨论了目前精度最高的月球重力场模型JGL165P1的(形式)误差.在模拟了测距、测速以及VLBI的时延、时延率数据后,计入月球重力场的误差进行精密轨道确定.定轨时采用了减缩动力学(reduced dynamic)方法,即选用合适的经验加速度参数吸收重力场误差对定轨的影响.结果表明对于一个不将月球重力场作为主要科学目标的探月计划(如“嫦娥1号”),减缩动力学方法是一个简单、有效地提高环月飞行器定轨精度的方法.  相似文献

The solar-wind interacts directly with the lunar surface due to tenuous atmosphere and magnetic field. The interaction results in an almost complete absorption of the solar-wind corpuscles producing no upstream bowshock but a cavity downstream. The solar-wind oxygen ionic species induce and undergo a complex set of reactions with the elements of the lunar minerals and the solar-wind derived trapped gases. The oxygen concentration indegeneous to the lunar surface material is about 60 at.%. Some of these oxygen are displaced from their crystal lattice locations by interactions of the solar-wind corpuscles. A small fraction of these displaced oxygen is in active state. The solar-wind oxygen species flux is about 6×104 cm–2 s–1. Besides inducing and undergoing various reactions these species become trapped as oxygen atoms in the lunar grains. Only a portion of these trapped oxygen atoms is in active state. For the contribution of oxygen atoms and molecules from the lunar surface grains to the atmosphere and their reactions with other species, the diffusion coefficients of oxygen atom and molecule should be known. However their values in the highly radiation-damaged lunar surface material are not known. The coefficients are calculated by using the apparent lifetimes of atomic and molecular oxygen in the lunar material. The atmospheric concentration of oxygen atoms and molecules near the lunar surface are found to be about 20 and 3 cm–3, respectively. These values appear to be very reasonable in comparison with the experimental data. The Apollo 17 lunar orbital UV spectrometer data indicate the atomic oxygen concentration is <8×101 cm–3. The Apollo 17 lunar surface mass spectrometer (sensitivity: 1 count=2×102 molecules cm–3) did not detect any oxygen molecules on the dayside of the Moon, but the sunrise concentration was reported to be 1±×103 cm–3. At the time of the sample collection on the Moon the oxygen content in the trapped gas layer was partly as oxygen atoms and partly as oxygen molecules. At the time of sample analysis on the Earth the concentrations of these two species did not change appreciably.  相似文献

An excellent series of images of solar granulation was taken during the partial solar eclipse of 1994 May 10 at the Swedish Vacuum Solar Telescope at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory. Making use of the lunar limb profile, images at different heliocentric positions were corrected for instrumental and atmospheric effects. The centre-to-limb variation of the granulation contrast was calculated and compared with previous determinations. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

We propose a technique that interpolates available lunar prospector gamma-ray spectrometer (GRS) data using Clementine UVVIS spectral reflectance images. The main idea is to use low resolution GRS data as a “ground truth” to establish relationships linking optical data and geochemical information maximizing the respective correlation coefficients. Then the relationships and Clementine UVVIS data are used to derive elemental abundance maps with significantly improved spatial resolution. The main limitation of the technique is its dependence on how well the abundance of the elements correlates with the Clementine UVVIS data. The technique can also be applied to analysis of coming D-CIXS/Smart-1 and AMIE/Smart-1 data to increase resolution of lunar compositional maps. As an illustration of the suggested technique, maps for the elements Fe, Ti, O, Al, Ca, and Mg with pixel size 15 km×15 km are presented. The Fe and Ti distributions resemble qualitatively to the maps obtained with the well-known technique by lucey et al. (2000a. Lunar iron and titanium abundance algorithms based on final processing of Clementine ultraviolet-visible images. J. Geophys. Res. 105, 20,297-20,306), though in our case the ranges of Fe and Ti variations are, respectively, wider and narrower than for lucey's maps. New maps for the elements Fe, Ti, O, Al, Ca, and Mg appear to be informative. For instance, the map of oxygen abundance demonstrates an anomaly in the crater Tycho. The maps of Fe and Al contents show for highland regions slight variations related to maturity degree. Reliability of this relation is confirmed with lunar sample data. The reason of the correlation between chemical composition and exposition age of the lunar surface can be the global transport of the lunar surface material due to meteorite impacts.  相似文献

We propose a new scenario of the lunar origin, which is a natural extension of planetary formation processes studied so far by us in Kyoto. According to these studies, the Earth grew up in a gaseous solar nebula and, consequently, the sphere of its gravitational influence (i.e., the Hill sphere of the Earth) was filled by a gas forming a dense primordial atmosphere of the Earth. In the later stages, this atmosphere as well as the solar nebula was dissipated gradually, owing to strong activities of the early-Sun in a T Tauri-stage.In the present and the subsequent papers, we study a series of dynamical processes where a lowenergy (i.e., slightly unbound) planetisimal is trapped within the terrestrial Hill sphere, under the above-mentioned circumstances that the gas density of the primordial atmosphere is gradually decreasing. It is clear that two conditions must be satisfied for the lunar origin: first, an unbound planetesimal entering the Hill sphere have to dissipate its kinetic energy and come into a bound orbit before it escapes from the Hill sphere and, second, the bound planetisimal never falls onto the surface of the Earth.In this paper we study the first condition by calculating the oribital motion of a planetesimal in the Hill sphere, which is affected both by solar gravity and by atmospheric gas drag. The results show that a low-energy planetisimal with the lunar mass or less can be trapped in the Hill sphere with a high probability, if it enters the Hill sphere at stages before the atmospheric density is decreased to about 1/50 of the initial value.In the subsequent paper, the second condition will be studied and it will be shown that a tidal force, among other forces, is very important for a trapped planetesimal to avoid collision with the Earth and stay eternally in the Hill sphere as a satellite.  相似文献

The gradient coupling within the ionospheric plasma in the presence of local variation of atmospheric heating and other modifications during high power radio wave propagation has been studied. The appropriate form of coupled equations for the modified situation is obtained. The electromagnetic and acoustic modes of wave propagation have been separated and solved, by the WKB method. Field quantities may be used to explore different properties of the medium under the modified condition.  相似文献

Abstract We present Kr and Xe isotope data obtained by closed system stepped etching of ilmenite separates from two lunar samples exposed to the solar corpuscular radiation at different epochs. Helium, neon, and argon in the same samples were reported to consist of two components: isotopically unfractionated solar wind (SW) released in the first steps, and an isotopically heavier component (SEP) released later and, thus, sited at larger depth. The same release characteristic is now observed for the heavy noble gases. We also conclude that solar Kr and Xe consist of two isotopically different components, implanted with different energies. The SW-Kr in a recently irradiated soil has a composition very close to atmospheric Kr, which agrees with other newly reported data from stepped etch- and combustion runs. No clear evidence for temporally variable SW-Kr or SW-Xe spectra was found. “Surface correlated” Kr and Xe components “SUCOR” and “BEOC 12001” are a mixture of SW and SEP. The isotopic fractionation factors relating SW and SEP are close to the square of the mass ratios for all five noble gases. We infer that the measured Kr/Xe ratio in ilmenite is essentially identical to this ratio in the solar corpuscular radiation.  相似文献

Evaluation of selenographic data obtained with use of different observational means require the formulation of rigorous algorithms connecting the systems of coordinates, which the various methods have been referred to. The lunar principal axes of inertia are suggested as most appropriate for reference in lunar mapping and selenographic coordinate catalogues. Mineral mapping of the lunar surface is critical to understanding the Moon’s geological diversity and history, yet the global lunar abundance of minerals has not been mapped using hyperspectral data. The Interference Imaging Spectrometer (IIM) of Chang’E-1 mission obtained hyperspectral data of the global lunar surface within the wavelength of 480–960 nm in which major minerals can be discriminated by faint differences in 32 contiguous hyperspectral bands. The effect of space weathering produces multiple endmembers of lunar minerals by obscuring the pure spectra of minerals in different levels. In this study, the distributions of plagioclase, clinopyroxene and olivine on the global lunar surface were mapped with IIM hyperspectral data based on the modified Multiple Endmember Spectral Mixture Analysis (MESMA) method considering the space weathering effect. The distribution of lunar space weathering levels was retrieved as a byproduct of mineral mapping. The mineral mapping results were compared with recent mapping results. Although the wavelength of IIM is limited, it shows that our results are basically consistent with the recent research at both global and local scales. The distribution of space weathering levels is also consistent with the map of optical maturity parameter (OMAT) in most parts of the global lunar surface, especially in the highlands. This study demonstrates that the modified MESMA method is an effective approach to quantitative mapping of the lunar minerals and space weathering levels using hyperspectral data. In the future, more minerals can be mapped with higher accuracy if hyperspectral data with a wider spectral range are used based on the method proposed in this study.  相似文献

Low altitude line-of-sight gravity data obtained by CSM and LM radio tracking during several Apollo missions are used to construct an equispaced normalized vertical gravity net 30 km above selected lunar highland regions. Correlation of local vertical gravity anomalies with craters of different depth reveals a density increase with depth in the upper lunar highland crust. Crustal densities determined in this fashion are in good agreement with other, previously published crustal density values. The nature of the density increase implies a lunar crust consisting of fractured rather than competent rock.  相似文献
