Bianchi type-IX space-time is considered in the presence of cosmic string source in the frame work of a scalar- tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (Phys. Lett. A 113:467, 1985). Exact cosmological models representing geometric (Nambu) string, p string and baratropic string are discussed in this theory. Some physical and kinematical properties of the models are also studied.  相似文献

A special form of the Bondi news function can be associated with an infinite static cosmic string. In case of a radiaing isolated system pierced by an infinite cosmic string, the total news function will be composed of two parts — one characterizing the radiation field, the other the string. Some examples are discussed and related to a recently given solution, which was interpreted as an outgoing gravitational wave due to the splitting of an infinite cosmic string.  相似文献

Axially symmetric cosmological models with cosmic string source are obtained in a scalar-tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (Phys. Lett. A113, 467, 1985). The models obtained give us axially symmetric geometric (Nambu) string, p-string and Reddy string (Astrophys. Space Sci. 286, 2003b) in Saez-Ballester theory. Some physical properties of the models are also discussed.  相似文献

A Bianchi type-I string cosmological model in Brans-Dicke theory in five dimension space-time has been investigated. For the determinate solution it has been assumed that the sum of energy density and tension density of the cosmic string dust source vanishes. Some physical and kinematical parameters are also discussed.  相似文献

We examine the spectrum of perturbations for a scalar field with an arbitrary curvature coupling parameter in the de Sitter stage of cosmological expansion when a cosmic string is present. These perturbations are caused by vacuum fluctuations in the field and serve as seed perturbations for the formation of galaxies in the postinflationary stage. A cosmic string disrupts the homogeneity of a de Sitter space, so that the spectrum of the perturbations depends on the distance from the string. This dependence is oscillatory in character with a period on the order of the perturbation wavelength.  相似文献

String cloud cosmological models are studied using spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type VIh metric in the frame work of general relativity. The field equations are solved for massive string cloud in presence of bulk viscosity. A general linear equation of state of the cosmic string tension density with the proper energy density of the universe is considered. The physical and kinematical properties of the models have been discussed in detail and the limits of the anisotropic parameter responsible for different phases of the universe are explored.  相似文献

The present study deals with locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type II cosmological model representing massive string. The energy-momentum tensor for such string as formulated by Letelier (Phys. Rev. D 28:2414, 1983) is used to construct massive string cosmological model for which we assume that the expansion (θ) in the model is proportional to the shear (σ). This condition leads to A=B m , where A and B are the metric coefficients and m is proportionality constant. For suitable choice of constant m, it is observed that in early stage of the evolution of the universe string dominates over the particle whereas the universe is dominated by massive string at the late time. Our model is in accelerating phase which is consistent to the recent observations of type Is supernovae. Some physical and geometric behavior of the model is also discussed.  相似文献

Effects invoked by the passage of the cosmic string through the Earth are investigated. The cosmic string induces global oscillations of the Earth whose amplitude and acceleration both linearly depend on the string line density. For the line density maximally allowed by the cosmic observations, the oscillations are perceivable even to human beings and may cause serious damages to the environment. On the other hand, the string with much smaller line density causes no visible effects. Yet, the sophisticated accelerograph is sensitive to a line density down to ten orders of magnitude smaller than the cosmologically relevant value.  相似文献

Five-dimensional spherically symmetric space-time is considered in bimetric theory of gravitation formulated by Rosen (Gen. Rel. Grav. 4, 435, 1973) in the presence of cosmic string dust cloud. Exact cosmological models which represent geometric (Nambu) string, p-string (Takabayasi string) and Reddy string (Astrophys. Space Sci. 301, 2006) are obtained in the static and non-static cases. Some physical properties of the models are also discussed.  相似文献

A Bianchi type-III string cosmological model with bulk viscous fluid for massive string is investigated. To get a determinate solution, a supplementary condition B=C n, between metric potentials, is used whereB and C are function of time alone. The behaviour of the model in presence and absence of bulk viscosity, is discussed. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

In this paper, it is shown that five dimensional LRS Bianchi type-I string cosmological models do not survive for Geometric and Takabayasi string whereas Barotropic string i.e. ρ=ρ(λ) survives and degenerates string with ρ+λ=0 in scalar tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (Phys. Lett. A 113:467, 1986). Further we studied some physical and geometrical properties of the model.  相似文献

Bianchi type-I string cosmological models are studied in Saez-Ballester theory of gravitation when the source for the energy momentum tensor is a viscous string cloud coupled to gravitational field. The bulk viscosity is assumed to vary with time and is related to the scalar expansion. The relationship between the proper energy density ρ and string tension density λ are investigated from two different cosmological models.  相似文献

The correspondence principle offered a unique opportunity to test cylindrically symmetric model for Universe at correspondence point “the centre of mass energies around (M s/(g s)2)”. First by using this symmetry, the Universe state for highly excited string “string ball” is studied and the entropy of these states is calculated. Then, to consider the string ball states, a copy of the original Hilbert space is constructed with a set of creation/annihilation operators that have the same commutation properties as the original ones. The total Hilbert space is the tensor product of the two spaces H physical ?H unphysical , where in this case H physical denotes the physical quantum state space of the string ball. It is shown that string ball states can be represented by a maximally entangled two-mode squeezed state of the physical and unphysical spaces of string. Also, the entropy for these string states is calculated. It is found that Universe entropy matches the string entropy at transition point. This means that our result is consistent with correspondence principle and thus cylindrically symmetric model works. Finally the signature of bosonic string ball is studied. When string balls are produced, they evaporate to Massive particles like Higgs boson. Then Higgs bosons decay to quarks and gluons. Thus an enhancement of these partons can be a signature of bosonic string ball inside the cylindrically symmetric Universe.  相似文献

The problems of flat directions and supersymmetry breaking are fundamental problems that are still unsolved in the comparison of string theory with low-energy physics. A possible nonperturbative dilaton potential may play an important role in their solution. In the present paper we consider D-dimensional, low-energy, string cosmological models with a di/aton potential. Exact solutions are written for several simple potentials. The picture of cosmological evolution of a gravi-dilaton model is investigated by methods of the qualitative theory of dynamical systems for different cases of the behavior of the potential in the domain of strong coupling. Features of models having potentials that take negative values in certain ranges of values of the dilaton field are discussed. A specific mechanism of generation of a nonperturbative potential, based on gaugino condensation in the hidden sector of the gauge group, is considered. Field equations in the presence of cosmic string source are obtained in a scalar tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Brans and Dicke (Phys. Rev. 124, 925 (1961)) with the aid of a five-dimensional Kaluza–Klein metric. An exact string cosmological model is presented which represents a five-dimensional Reddy string (Astrophys. Space Sci. 286, 2003b) in Brans–Dicke theory. Some physical properties of the model are also discussed  相似文献

Some Bianchi Type IX string cosmological models with bulk viscous fluid for massive string is investigated. To get a determinate solution, a supplementary condition a=b n, between metric potentials, is used wherea and b are function of time alone. A particular solution for n=0 is also discussed. The behaviour of the model in presence and absence of bulk viscosity, is discussed. The physical and implications of the model is also discussed. A general method to quantize strings in curved space-times is exposed. It treats the space-time metric exactly and the string excitations small as compared with the energy scale of the geometry. The method is applied to cosmological (de Sitter) and black-hole (Schwarzschild) geometries. The critical dimension decreases in one for de Sitter and stays unaltered for black-holes as compared with flat space-time values. Bogoliubov transformations in the context of string theory are derived and the Bogoliubov coefficients describing elastic and inelastic scattering and excitation of modes are computed explicitely. The string-black-hole cross section is derived and a pair mode creation phenomena is found. The quantization and scattering of strings in shockwave geometries (ultrarelativistic boosted black-holes or Aichelburg-Sexl space time) is found to be exactly solvable.  相似文献

The low-energy string gravitation is investigated for the case of reduction with a variable (in string units) inner space. A flat cosmological model of the corresponding four-dimensional theory is constructed. The model equations are analyzed qualitatively for a potential-dominated scalar field as the source. It is demonstrated that an extended inflation stage with one purely scalar dilaton field is possible here, in contrast with the case of a constant inner space. The pattern of cosmological evolution in various conformal representations is discussed.Translated from Astrofizika, Vol. 38, No. 1, pp. 99–119, January–March, 1995.  相似文献
