华北地区大地震矩释放率和GPS应变率的一致性研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
GPS测量技术可以在较大地区范围内获得高精度地壳形变速率。稳定的应变速率提供了精确确定地震活动率的机会。本文运用Kostrov(1974)的公式将经平滑的华北地区应变速率转化为矩释放率,并与运用1303年洪洞地震以来的地震目录计算的矩释放率进行比较,发现两者之比南北向为60.6%,东西向为68.9%,北东剪切分量为104.1%。近似为1的比率表明了GPS测量结果的可靠性。这个结果对结合历史地震及大地形变测量估计矩释放进行地震危险性评估具有一定参考意义。  相似文献

作为青藏高原南东向“挤出逃逸”的重要通道,青藏高原东缘中南部具有大型走滑断裂广泛发育和地震活动强烈而频繁的特征.本文使用线性球面块体模型理论,在前人活动地块研究的基础上吸收新近研究成果,建立研究区三维块体几何模型,使用1999—2007年的GPS数据反演得到青藏高原东缘中南部主要活动断裂滑动速率.使用反演得到的滑动速率和最优断层闭锁深度估算了川滇菱形块体主要边界和其内部断裂的地震矩积累,并利用历史强震目录估算了地震矩释放,在比较两者差异的基础上得到了研究区地震矩亏损(未释放的地震矩)较大的断层和断层段,该结果可以作为研究区强震中长期危险性研究的参考.  相似文献

闽粤两省强烈地震多发生在沿海地区,且福建南日岛至广东南澳一线的泉州-汕头地震带地震活动尤为突出。历史上东南沿海地震带曾发生过4次7级以上大地震,而其中3次都发生在泉-汕段海域,继华南地区本世纪著名的1918年广东南澳7.3级地震后,1994年9月16日台湾海峡南部又发生7.3级强震,这在经济发达,人口稠密的闽粤沿海地区引起了极大关注。本文通过历史强震活动资料,分析闽粤沿海与台湾海峡强震在时间进程,  相似文献

GPS studies in Turkey date back to the early 1990s, but were mostly focused on the seismically active North Anatolian Fault System (NAFS), or on the more populated Western Anatolia. Relatively few studies were made of the seismically less-active East Anatolian Fault System (EAFS), although it has the potential to produce large earthquakes. In this study, we present the results of a combination of geodetic and seismological data around the Karliova Triple Junction (KTJ), which lies at the intersection of the North- and East Anatolian Fault Systems. In particular, the geodetic slip rates obtained through block modeling of GPS velocities were compared with b-values to assess seismicity in the region. Yedisu segment, one of the best-known seismic gaps in Turkey, was specifically analyzed. The relatively low b-values across Yedisu segment verify the accumulation of seismic energy in this segment, and the GPS-derived geodetic slip rates suggest that it has the potential to produce an earthquake of Mw 7.5 across an 80-km rupture zone.Additionally, analysis of earthquake data reveals that the study area has a ductile or rigid–ductile behavior with respect to its surroundings, characterized by varying b-values. Although, seismic events of moderate- to high magnitudes are confined along the major fault zones, there are also low-seismicity zones along the eastern part of the Bitlis Suture Zone and around Yedisu. Since the high seismicity areas within the region may not accumulate sufficient stress for a large earthquake to occur, it is considered that the deformation in such areas occurs in a ductile manner. On the other hand, the areas characterized by low b-values may have the capacity of stress accumulation, which could lead to brittle deformation.  相似文献

On July 3rd, 2015, a MW6.4 earthquake occurred on Pishan County, Xinjiang, located in the front of western Kunlun thrust belt, which is the largest earthquake(MW6.0~7.0)in the past 40 years in this region. In this study, we collected both the near-filed geodetic coseismic deformation observations including 4 GPS sites and one high-resolution ALOS-2 InSAR imagery, and far-field teleseismic P waveforms from 25 stations provided by IRIS/USGS, to invert the fault parameters(strike and dip)and coseismic rupture model of 2015 MW6.4 Pishan earthquake. Using the finite fault theory, a non-linear simulated annealing algorithm was employed to resolve our joint inversion problem. The strike (120°~130°) and dip angle(35°~40°)of optimal models are different from that of some previous studies, and the dip change is strongly constrained by combined data than that of strike. In fixing the geometric parameters of optimal fault model, we also considered data weight(5)(geodetic data/teleseismic P waveforms)and constrained weight from moment and smooth factor(2.5). Clearly, our results indicate that the slip distribution mainly concentrates in the depth range from 9 to 16km and a length range of 20km along the strike direction, which is similar to the spatial distribution of the relocated aftershocks. The maximum slip is~95cm. The seismic moment release is 5.45×1018N·m, corresponding to MW6.42. Compared with the single data set, geodetic data or teleseismic waveform, our joint inversion model could simultaneously constrain the seismic moment and slip distribution well, thus avoiding effectively a lower-resolution rupture distribution determined by teleseismic-only inversion and a bias released moment estimated by the geodetic-only inversion. Importantly, we should consider both the near-field geodetic data and far-field teleseismic data in retrieving the rupture model for accurately describing the seismogenic structure of active fault in western Kunlun region.  相似文献

Seismic events that occurred during the past half century in the Tellian Atlas, North Africa, are used to establish fundamental seismic empirical relations, tying earthquake magnitude to source parameters (seismic moment, fault plane area, maximal displacement along the fault, and fault plane length). Those empirical relations applied to the overall seismicity from 1716 to present are used to transform the magnitude (or intensity) versus time distribution into (1) cumulative seismic moment versus time, and (2) cumulative displacements versus time. Both of those parameters as well as the computed seismic moment rate, the strain rate along the Tellian Atlas strike, and various other geological observations are consistent with the existence, in the Tellian Atlas, of three distinct active tectonic blocks. These blocks are seismically decoupled from each other, thus allowing consideration of the seismicity as occurring in three different distinct seismotectonic blocks. The cumulative displacement versus time from 1900 to present for each of these tectonic blocks presents a remarkable pattern of recurrence time intervals and precursors associated with major earthquakes. Indeed, most major earthquakes that occurred in these three blocks might have been predicted in time. The Tellian Atlas historical seismicity from the year 881 to the present more substantially confirms these observations, in particular for the western block of the Tellian Atlas. Theoretical determination of recurrence time intervals for the Tellian Atlas large earthquakes using Molnar and Kostrov formalisms is also consistent with these observations. Substantial observations support the fact that the western and central Tellian Atlas are currently at very high seismic risk, in particular the central part. Indeed, most of the accumulated seismic energy in the central Tellian Atlas crust has yet to be released, despite the occurrence of the recent destructive May 2003 Boumerdes earthquake (M w = 6.8). The accumulated seismic energy is equivalent to a magnitude 7.6 earthquake. In situ stress and geodetic measurements, as well as other geophysical field data measurements, are now required to practically check the validity of those observations.  相似文献

基于《中国震例》(1970—2013年), 系统清理了246次M≥5.0震例前的地震活动图像异常, 并结合区域差异进行地震空区和地震条带的统计特征研究。 结果显示: ① 在246次震例中, 震前出现地震空区、 地震条带的震例数分别为105次、 51次, 占震例总数的42.7%和20.7%; ② 随着主震震级的增大, 地震空区和地震条带出现的比例逐渐增大, 尤其是7级以上地震, 震前出现地震空区的震例数占同类震例总数的83.3%, 出现地震条带的震例数占同类震例总数的66.7%, 可见地震空区和地震条带可能是7级以上强震的重要异常判据; ③ 针对整个中国大陆及近海, 地震空区和地震条带的持续时间、 展布尺度、 起始震级与主震震级存在一定线性关系, 相关系数能够通过95%置信水平的阈值检验; ④ 各主要构造分区的统计结果差异较大, 青藏高原北部除地震空区持续时间外, 其余地震空区和地震条带参数与主震震级之间的线性关系均通过阈值检验, 南北带中南段和华北地区有个别参数通过检验, 天山地区所有参数均未通过检验。  相似文献

川滇地区是我国地震危险性较高的地区之一.本文基于对特大强震的风险性考虑,使用全球地震模型OpenQuake软件,建立了川滇地区地震危险性预测新模型.首先根据构造特征划分多个震源分区,并整理出这些震源分区内断层活动特征与滑动速率;基于震源分区和断层模型,使用GPS应变率转换成的锥形古登堡-里克特关系作为整个区域的地震积累率,并允许超过历史最大震级的特大地震的出现,结合活动断层滑动速率所积累的地震发生率,给出震源分区内断层地震源和背景地震源的地震发生率的比率分配关系;在活动断层分段上,保留了大型断裂或其主要部分,没有根据小的阶区来对断层进行详细分段,以便分配特大地震发生率;并使用地震率平滑方法分配背景地震发生率.最后在OpenQuake中加入地震动预测方程,计算出了川滇地区的PGA分布图,为区域地震危险性提供科学依据.  相似文献

北天山地震带地处中国大陆强震高发区, 孕震构造复杂, 近年来陆续发生了2016年呼图壁MS6.2地震和2017年精河MS6.6地震。 由于测震台网相对比较稀疏, 该区域微震监测能力较弱。 本文主要采用波形模板扫描法对北天山中段(43.5°N~44.5°N; 85°E~87.5°E)进行微震事件检测, 并反演精细的一维速度结构, 重新定位地震; 深入分析该区域的地震活动性和孕震构造特征。 经过微震检测, 得到该地区2014年1月至2018年9月期间57902个地震事件, 是原地震目录的10倍, 完备震级从1.2降至0.5。 结果显示, 北天山中段地震十分活跃, 主要分布在北天山山前霍尔果斯—玛纳斯—吐谷鲁背斜带南翼的浅部和南玛纳斯—齐古背斜带深部, 呼图壁地震震后地震活动性有增强的趋势。 研究期间沿背斜构造带走向地震分布不均, 霍尔果斯—玛纳斯—吐谷鲁背斜带西段地震活动多于东段, 南玛纳斯—齐古背斜带东段地震活动显著强于西段。 经过重定位, 发现研究区的地震事件主要发生在褶皱内部的“盲断层”上, 这些隐伏断裂与区域活动断裂和背斜构造共同组成的断层系孕育了北天山山前活跃的地震活动, 并可能成为未来强震的发震构造。  相似文献

以相邻2次地震的时间间隔作为统计量,对河套带、汾渭带1976年以来的地震活动平静异常进行了统计检验.结果表明河套带、特别是汾渭带中强地震之前大范围内中等地震活动的异常平静现象是明显的,河套带、张渤带发生的5次6级以上强震有4次发生在平静异常结束或在平静过程中.目前该区域中等地震平静时间已远远超过历史统计的最长时间间隔,未来一段时间河套带、张渤带及邻区存在发生强震的可能性.  相似文献

Seismic hazard analysis requires the estimation of the probabilities that earthquakes will take place within a region of interest, and the expected level of ground motion which will be received at a site during the nextt years. The earthquake magnitude has been used as a basic parameter, because it is available, under the assumption that the earthquake occurrence is a compound Poisson process with exponential or multinomial distribution of magnitude.For improving the hazard prediction, we used the seismic moment as a basic parameter to estimate the mean rate, , of occurrence of earthquakes in a function of seismic moment rate and slip rate released in a seismogenic region.As an illustration of the model, the seismic hazard analysis at different sites in and around the Gulf of Corinth, central Greece, is presented on the basis of the earthquake magnitude and the seismic moment. Comparison of the results shows that determination of the mean rate of earthquake occurrence, using the conventional Gutenberg-Richter recurrence model, underestimates the seismic hazard at a site.  相似文献

川滇交界东段NE向昭通、莲峰断裂带的研究程度较低.为了了解该断裂带是否存在发生强震/大地震的危险背景,我们基于区域活动构造与动力学、重新定位的小震分布和震源机制解、历史地震破裂区、GPS形变场、现代地震活动及其参数图像等多学科的信息进行综合研究.结果表明:昭通、莲峰断裂带是川滇-华南活动块体/地块边界带的一部分,也是活动及变形的大凉山次级块体与相对稳定的华南地块之间的边界带;结构上表现为2个平行展布、朝南东推覆的断裂带,现今运动为带有显著逆冲分量的右旋走滑性质.沿昭通断裂带无大地震的时间至少为1700 余年,目前存在地震空区.GPS变形图像反映昭通、莲峰断裂带已不同程度闭锁.另外,昭通断裂带的鲁甸附近以及莲峰断裂带的南段分别存在异常低b值区或高应力区.已由低b值区和小震空白区识别出昭通断裂带上的鲁甸-彝良之间存在高应力闭锁段,并估计出其潜在地震的最大矩震级为MW7.4.本研究因此认为昭通断裂带存在发生强震/大地震的中-长期危险背景, 而莲峰断裂带的危险性还需进一步研究.  相似文献

2016年12月—2018年4月间布设于汶川、芦山地震之间地震空段的密集监测台阵(LmsSGA)提供了密集的观测数据.通过拾取地震走时、初始定位,计算地方震级,得到了完备性震级为0级的地震目录.更加完备的地震目录为地震空段及周围地震活动的时空分布特征和孕震风险性评估提供了丰富的信息.重定位结果显示地震主要集中于龙门山断裂带深度为5~20km的孕震层内.地震活动频繁的汶川、芦山主震区,震源的空间分布模式与其早期余震相似,说明两次大地震的区域仍处于缓慢的应力调整阶段.青藏高原物质东向挤出受宝兴、彭灌杂岩阻挡,在两个杂岩体西北侧地震活动频繁.地震活动性分布显示汶川—茂县、映秀—北川断裂上存在一个清晰的长约30km,宽约20km的地震活动"空白"区域,与其下方因部分熔融而产生的低速体分布一致,我们推测熔融体的加温作用是导致空段内极低的地震活动性的主要原因.监测时段内仍观测到降雨变化率和地震数量呈反相关关系,再次证实了汶川—芦山地震间地震空段及邻区内季节性降雨对地震活动性存在一定调节作用.综合分析S波速度模型、历史强震活动及b值,我们推断地震空段东部的彭灌断裂中段及周围部分隐伏断层存在发生强震的风险.  相似文献

The reason for the failure to forecast the Wenchuan M_S8.0 earthquake is under study, based on the systematically collection of the seismicity anomalies and their analysis results from annual earthquake tendency forecasts between the 2001 Western Kunlun Mountains Pass M_S8.1 earthquake and the 2008 Wenchuan M_S8.0 earthquake. The results show that the earthquake tendency estimation of Chinese Mainland is for strong earthquakes to occur in the active stage, and that there is still potential for the occurrence of a M_S8.0 large earthquake in Chinese Mainland after the 2001 Western Kunlun Mountains Pass earthquake. However the phenomena that many large earthquakes occurred around Chinese Mainland, and the 6-year long quietude of M_S7.0 earthquake and an obvious quietude of M_S5.0 and M_S6.0 earthquakes during 2002~2007 led to the distinctly lower forecast estimation of earthquake tendency in Chinese Mainland after 2006. The middle part in the north-south seismic belt has been designated a seismic risk area of strong earthquake in recent years, but, the estimation of the risk degree in Southwestern China is insufficient after the Ning’er M_S6.4 earthquake in Yunnan in 2007. There are no records of earthquakes with M_S≥7.0 in the Longmenshan fault, which is one of reasons that this fault was not considered a seismic risk area of strong earthquakes in recent years.  相似文献

分析了1995 ̄1996年发生的云南孟连西7.5级、武定以北6.5级和丽江以北7.0级三次强震前云南及邻近地区出现的地震活动背景性异常,包括地震空区、条带、小震群活动、地震窗口、诱发地震、强震原地复发以及迁移等特征。对地震活动期的分析表明,1988年澜沧-耿马地震后云南地区处于强震活动高潮期,1993年区内发生5.0 ̄6.3级地震7次,达到发生7级以上强震的预报指标。这些地震活动背景异常为这3次强  相似文献

信浓川地震带位于日本大地沟北部,地壳运动十分强烈,区内地震主要沿信浓川流域发生,并密集成带,大地构造上处于日本海板块向本州板块俯冲的边界线上。该地震带大多数地震为中强震,且均为浅源地震,地震发生伴随着明显的地下水前兆异常,震中区有强烈的超压热水系的喷溢活动。震中区地下水的温度、电导率以及主要地球化学成分呈线性异常分布,并与地震强弱或地震断裂规模有关,地震断层的规模控制了超压热水系喷溢活动的强度和规模。地震发生与超压热水系喷溢活动有着密切的成生关系,超压热水系喷溢活动使断层发生活动所需应力条件降低,诱发地震发生,同时断层活动为超压热水系向上喷溢提供通道。  相似文献

通过小江断裂带现今地震地质及地壳形变测量资料的综合分析,讨论了走滑断裂带挤压隆起和拉张下沉相间出现的变形特征。分析其与历史地震分布的相关关系后认为,挤压隆起和拉张下沉这一变形特征综合反映了小江断裂带现今活动过程中应变积累调整的变化过程,它对区内地震危险性分析及未来强震潜在震源区的确定都有十分重要的现实意义  相似文献
