A new set of element differential equations for the perturbed two-body motion is derived. The elements are canonical and are similar to the classical canonical Poincaré elements, which have time as the independent variable. The phase space is extended by introducing the total energy and time as canonically conjugated variables. The new independent variable is, to within an additive constant, the eccentric anomaly. These elements are compared to the Kustaanheimo-Stiefel (KS) element differential equations, which also have the eccentric anomaly as the independent variable. For several numerical examples, the accuracy and stability of the new set are equal to those of the KS solution. This comparable accuracy result can probably be attributed to the fact that both sets have the same time element and very similar energy elements. The new set has only 8 elements, compared to 10 elements for the KS set. Both sets are free from singularities due to vanishing eccentricity and inclination.  相似文献

A perturbation series integral for the restricted problem of three bodies is derived by use of a new set of canonical elements for the regularized two-body problem. These elements are similar to theKS elements of Stiefel and Scheifele, but they contain small parameters other than the semimajor axis. The variable analogous to the longitude of perihelion not only remains well defined as the orbit approaches a circle, but also it can be used as a second small parameter. Regularized elements permit canonical use of the eccentric anomaly as independent variable, but most of the major benefits of regularization in the two-body problem do not carry over to perturbation theory.  相似文献

A modified method for averaging the perturbing function in Hill’s problem is suggested. The averaging is performed in the revolution period of the satellite over the mean anomaly of its motion with a full allowance for a variation in the position of the perturbing body. At its fixed position, the semimajor axis of the satellite orbit during the revolution of the satellite is constant in view of the evolution equations, while the remaining orbital elements undergo secular and long-period perturbations. Therefore, when the motion of the perturbing body is taken into account, the semimajor axis of the satellite orbit undergoes the strongest perturbations. The suggested approach generalizes the averaging method in which only the linear (in time) term is included in the perturbing function. This method requires no expansion in powers of time. The described method is illustrated by calculating the perturbations of the semimajor axes for two distant satellites of Saturn, S/2000 S 1 and S/2000 S5. An approximate analytic solution is compared with the results of numerical integration of the averaged system of equations of motion for these satellites.  相似文献

The equations describing the disturbed motion of an artificial Earth satellite in the atmosphere are integrated by using a new variable instead of the true anomaly. The atmospheric flattening and rotation, the linear variation of the density scale height with the altitude, the symmetrical diurnal effect and the variation of its amplitude with the heigth are taken into account. Approximate formulae for the perturbations in all the orbital elements over a revolution of the satellite are given.  相似文献

The influence of the gravitational radiation damping on the evolution of the orbital elements of compact binary stars is examined by using the method of perturbation. The perturbation equations with the true anomaly as an independent variable are given. This effect results in both the secular and periodic variation of the semi-major axis, the eccentricity, the mean longitude at the epoch and the mean longitude. However, the longitude of periastron exhibits no secular variation, but only periodic variation. The effect of secular variation of the orbit would lead to collapse of the system of binary stars. The deduced formulae are applied to the calculation of secular variation of the orbital elements for three compact binary stars: PSR19 13 + 16, PSR J0737-3039 and M33X-7. The results obtained are discussed.  相似文献

We consider the case of averaging the perturbing function of the Hill problem over the fastest variable, the mean anomaly of the satellite. In integrable special cases, we found solutions to the evolutionary system of equations in elements.  相似文献

It is shown in this paper how to build a canonical transformation of variables, so that the eccentric anomaly becomes the new independent variable. In the case of eccentric elliptical orbits it changes the equations of motion so, that they can be integrated analytically to any order of approximation comparatively easy.  相似文献

For Vinti's dynamical problem, there is proposed a new form of solution wherein all three coordinates are expressed in terms of one independent variable. The formulae for the three co-ordinates are clear generalizations of the corresponding formulae for the Kepler problem while the independent variable corresponds to the true anomaly. The solution is completed by the relation connecting the independent variable with time: the latter is a generalization of the well known Kepler time-angle relationship. From the form and method of solution the main qualitative features of the motion are readily derived.  相似文献

Analytical solutions using KS elements are derived. The perturbation considered is the Earth's zonal harmonic J 2. The series expansions include terms of fourth power in the eccentricity. Only two of the nine KS element equations are integrated analytically due to the reasons of symmetry. The analytical solution is suitable for short-term orbit computations. Numerical studies show that reasonably good estimates of the orbital elements can be obtained in one step of 10 to 30 degrees of eccentric anomaly for near-Earth orbits of moderate eccentricity. For application purposes, the analytical solution can be effectively used for onboard computation in the navigation and guidance packages, where the modelling of J 2 effect becomes necessary.  相似文献

Evolution of Comet Nucleus Rotation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The secular evolution of comet nucleus rotation states subject to outgassing torques is studied. The dynamical model assumes that the nucleus inertia ellipsoid is axially symmetric. The outgassing torques acting on the surface are modeled using standard cometary activity formulae. The general rotational equations of motion are derived and separately averaged over the fast rotational dynamics terms and the comet orbit. Special cases where the averaging assumptions cannot be applied are evaluated separately. The modification of the comet orbit due to comet outgassing is neglected. Resulting from this analysis is a system of secular differential equations that describes the dynamics of the comet nucleus angular momentum and rotation state. We find that the qualitative secular evolution of the rotation state is controlled by a single parameter that combines parameters related to the comet orbit and parameters related to the nucleus surface geometry and activity. From this solution, we find qualitatively different evolutionary paths for comet nuclei whose entire surface is active, as compared to nuclei with only a single active region. For surface activity models between these extremes, we show that certain evolutionary paths are more likely than others. Additionally, our solution indicates that a comet nucleus' rotational angular momentum will tend to increase over time, potentially contributing to the observed phenomenon of comet nucleus splitting.  相似文献

A theory is developed for the perturbations to the orbit of a spherically symmetric satellite which accounts for the changes in the perigee and nodal positions and the variations of the Sun-Earth distance and direction over an orbital revolution. The theory is semi-analytical, the equations of motion being integrated with respect to time over the sunlit period of each orbital revolution. Long-periodic and short-periodic perturbations may be treated separately, and this is important for long-term analyses in terms of mean elements where short-period terms are averaged or omitted.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the influence of a varying gravitation constant on the orbits of celestial bodies. Regarding the eccentric anomaly as an independent variable, we find the solutions to the perturbed equations of motion. In the first order solutions, we find the secular and periodic variations in semi-major axis. For the other orbital elements only periodic variations exhibit. However in the second order solutions, the longitude of periastron and the mean longitude have secular terms. Applying the calculations to six selected binaries, we give the numerical estimations of the variations of orbits. These results are then carefully compared and discussed.  相似文献

On the basis of expressions derived by Kozai, and new ones developed here, a detailed, semianalytic algorithm is presented for calculating radiation-pressure perturbations in the Keplerian elements. Through some simple modifications, the algorithm is also made to hold whene=0 and/ori=0. The perturbations are obtained by summing over the sunlit segment of the satellite's orbit during each revolution or part thereof. The end points of this segment are evaluated numerically once per revolution. The effect of the inherent uncertainties in the boundaries of the Earth's shadow is discussed. The algorithm is tested by means of numerical integration of the equations of motion and through comparisons with observations of the balloon satellite 1963 30D during a 200-day interval.  相似文献

Circumstellar dust particles can be captured in a mean-motion resonance (MMR) with a planet and simultaneously be affected by non-gravitational effects. It is possible to describe the secular variations of a particle orbit in the MMR analytically using averaged resonant equations. We derive the averaged resonant equations from the equations of motion in near-canonical form. The secular variations of the particle orbit depending on the orientation of the orbit in space are taken into account. The averaged resonant equations can be derived/confirmed also from Lagrange’s planetary equations. We apply the derived theory to the case when the non-gravitational effects are the Poynting–Robertson effect, the radial stellar wind, and an interstellar wind. The analytical and numerical results obtained are in excellent agreement. We found that the types of orbits correspond to libration centers of the conservative problem. The averaged resonant equations can lead to a system of equations which holds for stationary points in a subset of resonant variables. Using this system we show analytically that for the considered non-gravitational effects, all stationary points should correspond to orbits which are stationary in interplanetary space after an averaging over a synodic period. In an exact resonance, the stationary orbits are stable. The stability is achieved by a periodic repetition of the evolution during the synodic period. Numerical solutions of this system show that there are no stationary orbits for either the exact or non-exact resonances.  相似文献

Revised equations of motion are formulated on more general assumptions than hitherto making allowance for some reflection of sunlight by a dust-particle, and from these the secular rates of change of the orbital elements of the particle are obtained. The equation for the eccentricity yields numerical results for the time taken for given changes in this element to occur. Other elements turn out to be expressible in terms of the eccentricity and thence are effectively also known in terms of the time. More general forms of earlier results are found, and some new mathematical results in the theory of the process are derived. The time of infall to the Sun associated with almost circular initial motion of a particle is calculated, and also the time from an orbit of initially high eccentricity. In this latter case, infall takes place much more rapidly than from a circular orbit of radius comparable with the average distance in the eccentric orbit. The effect on a particle of a long-period comet during a single return is negligible compared with the change in its binding-energy to the Sun that will in general result from planetary action. The possible history of a dust-particle from original capture by the Sun to final infall to the solar surface is briefly considered.  相似文献

The relationship between the eigen values of the linearized differential equations of orbital mechanics and the stability characteristics of numerical methods is presented. It is shown that the Cowell, Encke, and Encke formulation with an independent variable related to the eccentric anomaly all have a real positive eigen value when linearized about the initial conditions. The real positive eigen value causes an amplification of the error of the solution when used in conjunction with a numerical integration method. In contrast an element formulation has zero eigen values and is numerically stable.  相似文献

Modified equinoctial elements are introduced which are suitable for perturbation analysis of all kinds of orbit. Equations of motion in Lagrangian and Gaussian forms are derived. Identities connecting the partial derivatives of the disturbing function with respect to equinoctial elements are established. Numerical comparisons of the evolution of a perturbed, highly eccentric, elliptic orbit analysed in equinoctial elements and by Cowell's method show satisfactory agreement.  相似文献

In studies of the elliptic restricted three-body problem, the true anomaly of the motion of the primaries is often used as the independent variable. The equations of motion then show invariancy in form from the circular case. It is of interest whether other independent variables exist, such that the invariant form of the equations is maintained. It is found that true anomaly is the only such variable.  相似文献
