A brief historical review of solar and interplanetary magnetic field modeling and analysis is presented. The modeling was initiated with the routine observation of longitudinal magnetograms and the application of current free potential magnetic fields for its interpretation. Almost simultaneously, the development of detailed H observation motivated the constant-, force-free magnetic field analysis. Subsequent development of transverse magnetograms leads not only to further refinements of the analysis and modeling but also to many physically meaningful interpretations of the observations. In this review, historical development is traced with the emphasis placed on the yet unanswered questions. 相似文献

We applied model computations on a microwave burst observed with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) at 6 cm. We used additional data from H, soft and hard X-rays in order to reproduce the flaring loop and to compute the microwave total intensity and circular polarization. We examined both cases of thin and thick target. The computations show a large emission source in an optically thick loop. We compare our results with the observation. 相似文献

本文采用几何光学近似,研究在日冕条件下,沿着磁场传播的电磁波产生非线性自调制不稳定性的可能.发现只有分米波和米波段的射电爆发,可以在日冕外层产生纵向和横向的自调制不稳定性.而在其它波段,如光学、X射线和高频电磁波,则不会产生这样的非线性不稳定性过程.由纵向自调制不稳定性产生的精细结构具有包络孤波的形状. 相似文献

We investigate the expected emission from coronal transients in the following spectral lines observable with the Ultraviolet Coronagraph Spectrometer (UVCS) on board SOHO: Hi L 1216 Å, Ovi 1032–1037 Å, Nv 1239–1243 Å, Mgx 610–625 Å, Sixii 499–521 Å, and Fexii 1242 Å. We calculate line intensities and profiles for typical CME conditions, and we analyse their relation with the properties of the perturbed coronal region. We find that significant changes in UV line intensities are produced during a coronal transient. An overall decrease of the Hi L intensity is found, which is mainly due to the Doppler dimming produced by the increase in plasma outflow velocity. The emission from heavy ions is instead mainly affected by variations in plasma density and temperature. We expect to compare these results with the future UVCS observations of coronal transients. 相似文献

1. The Circumstellar Disk as a Byproduct of Star Formation The fundamental theory of star formation predicts the wide existence of circumstellar disks around the young stellar objects. Restricted by the conservation law of angular momentum, the protostellar core deviates more significantly as the contraction proceeds. 用紫金山天文台青海观测站13.7米毫米波望远镜新安装的3毫米系统,对一组包括大质量恒星形成区、稠密云核、Bok球、主序前发射线星和演化晚期恒星的源进行了12COJ=1-0的辐射搜寻.结果在不同质量恒星形成区域全部测到了12CO辐射,并发现了大的线宽、红和蓝的线翼、线心速度变化及多重辐射的特征,表明相应源可能具有双极喷流,存在膨胀、旋转或多核斑结构.有两个演化晚期星中已观测到了12COJ=1-0谱线,说明其具有较浓厚的拱星气体包层. 相似文献

Using electron excitation rates calculated with the R-matrix code, theoretical Nixviii electron-temperature-sensitive emission line ratios are presented for R
1 = I(220.41 Å)/I(320.56 Å) , R
2 = I(233.79 Å)/I(320.56 Å) , and R
3 = I(220.41 Å)/I(292.00 Å) . A comparison of these with observational data for two solar flares, obtained by the Naval Research Laboratory's S082A slitless spectrograph on board Skylab, reveals good agreement between theory and observation for R
1 and R
2 in two spectra, which provides limited support for the accuracy of the atomic data adopted in the analysis. However, several of the measured ratios are much larger than theory predicts, which is probably due mainly to saturation of the strong 292.00 and 320.56 Å lines on the photographic film used to record the S082A data. A comparison of our line ratio calculations with active region observations made by the Solar EUV Rocket Telescope and Spectrograph (SERTS) indicate that a feature at 236.335 Å, identified as the Nixviii 3p

Meteorites, generally 1 cm or larger in size that are believed to sample asteroids, and interplanetary dust particles (IDPs),
generally 5–50 μm in size that are believed to sample both asteroids and comets, span the size range of the meteors. Thus,
the physical properties of the meteorites and the IDPs are likely to constrain the properties of the meteors and their parent
bodies. Measurements of the density, porosity, longitudinal and transverse speeds of sound, elastic modulus, and bulk modulus,
as well as imaging of the internal structure by Computed Microtomography indicate that unweathered samples of chondritic meteorites
are more porous and have lower sound velocities than compact terrestrial rocks. In general, the IDPs are even more porous
than the chondritic meteorites. The impact energy per unit target mass required to produce a barely catastrophic disruption
(Q
*
D) for anhydrous ordinary chondrite meteorites is twice that for terrestrial basalt or glass, indicating that collisional disruption
of anhydrous meteorites requires more energy than for a compact basalt. These results indicate that most stone meteors are
likely to be weak, porous objects, and that the parent bodies of the anhydrous stone meteorites are likely to be more difficult

继文[1]之后,本文利用15个中—高红移类星体的Lα森林构成统计样本,再度考察了Lα森林吸收线密度N(Z_(abs))与发射红移Z_(em)的相关性。本文的统计样本包含的红移范围比文[1]更大:类星体的发射红移值从1.715到3.750,Lα森林吸收线红移范围从1.501到3.780;统计方法亦与文[1]略有差异。统计结果再度表明,Lα森林吸收线密度N(Z_(abs))明显依赖于类星体自身的发射红移Z_(em),这不仅在于Z_(em)越大的类星体其全部吸收线的平均数密度N(Z_(abs))也越大,更重要的是,对于相同的吸收红移值Z_(abs)而言,N(Z_(abs))在统计意义上明显地随Z_(em)的增大而增大。文末对所得的结果作了讨论。 相似文献

恒星形成时期强远红外源的红外发射与赫罗图 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
本文从IRAS点源星表(PSC)中选择了一批流量只F100μ≥500Jy,且属于正在形成或早期演化阶段的强远红外源,利用北京天文台兴隆观测站的1.26m红外望远镜,对这批源进行了J、H、K波段的近红外观测,得到了12个源的第一次J、H、K测光资料.结合外台站的红外观测资料和IRAS点源星表数据,我们对强远红外源的红外发射进行了修正的黑体光球模型、双壳层尘埃发射模型以及详细的辐射转移等模型的拟合,得到了这些源的一系列重要的物理参量,如中心星的等效光球温度,近红外消光以及包层的尘埃温度和密度随半径变化的幂律等.本文利用红外导出的中心星光球温度和光度,得到了与这些强远红外源成协的大质量年轻天体在赫罗图上的位置和演化特征.我们发现,对质量一定的大质量年轻星,沿着向主序演化的方向,红外谱在12μ-60μ间的斜率S有逐渐增大的趋势;而对演化到同一时间线的星,随着质量的增大,S也有增大的趋势.本文分析了这一性质.并提出了利用红外资料研究赫罗图的方法,它是一种研究深埋于分子云和尘埃包层的大质量年轻星早期演化的有效方法. 相似文献

Two small radio flares following the great gamma-ray burst on 11 June 1991 are studied. We analyse the different association of emission features at microwaves, decimeter waves, and soft and hard X-rays for the events. The first flare has well-defined emission features in microwaves and soft and hard X-rays, and a faint decimetric signature well after the hard X-ray burst. It is not certain if the decimetric event is connected to the burst features. The second event is characterized by an almost simultaneous appearance of hard X-ray burst maxima and decimetric narrowband drift bursts, but soft X-ray emission is missing from the event. With the exception of the possibility that the soft X-ray emission is absorbed along the way, the following models can explain the reported differences in the second event: (1) Microwave emission in the second event is produced by 150 keV electrons spiraling in the magnetic field relatively low in the corona, while the hard X-ray emission is produced at the beginning of the burst near the loop top as thick-target emission. If the bulk of electrons entered the loop, the low-energy electrons would not be effectively mirrored and would eventually hit the footpoints and cause soft X-ray emission by evaporation, which was not observed. The collisions at the loop top would not produce observable plasma heating. The observed decimetric type III bursts could be created by plasma oscillations caused by electron beams traveling along the magnetic field lines at low coronal heights. (2) Microwave emission is caused by electrons with MeV energies trapped in the large magnetic loops, and the electrons are effectively mirrored from the loop footpoints. The hard X-ray emission can come both from the loop top and the loop footpoints as the accelerated lower energy electrons are not mirrored. The low-energy electrons are not, however, sufficient to create observable soft X-ray emission. The type III emission in this case could be formed either at low coronal heights or in local thick regions in the large loops, high in the corona. 相似文献
