The geodynamic interpretation of the results of GPS observations among the permanently operating stations which establish the frame for defining and conserving the coordinate system and simultaneously for describing the fundamental tendencies of dynamics in the area represented by them, should be deprived of the effects of geodynamic phenomena, which can be either periodic or short-term (even non-periodic) so that secular changes may be found. Some of these influences are included in scientific processing software, others have to be modelled later. The purpose of this project is to determine the influences of the indirect effect of ocean tides and the direct deformational effect of the atmosphere on the results of GPS observations, performed at stations Pecný (Czech Republic), Wettzell (FRG) and Graz (Austria), and also for the GPS stations of the Central Europe Regional Geodynamic Project (CERGOP) in the region of Central and East Europe. On the basis of analyses and results it is possible to claim that at the present accuracy of GPS observations the influence of ocean loading and atmospheric pressure effects for geodynamic campaigns in the region of the Czech Republic is negligible. For campaigns in larger regions (i.e. Central Europe) atmospheric corrections will have to be applied to height differences. These corrections, however, due to their periodicity have negligible influence on secular changes.  相似文献

Recent observations and progress in the understanding of various requirements for the generation of magnetic fields permit much more definite conclusions to be drawn about the fields of the giant planets than was possible until quite recently. The Jovian magnetic field of about 4 gauss could be either of primordial origin or generated by a thermally driven dynamo. The expected Saturnian field of about 1 gauss can be similarly accounted for either by a thermally or by a precessionally driven dynamo. The presence of a field on Uranus of perhaps 0.1 gauss presents a problem because although it could be accounted for by a thermally driven dynamo operating in a highly conductive shell of hydrogen, the so far unobserved thermal flux and convection may be too low. If such a dynamo were to operate then one would expect the field to show seasonal variations. A precessional dynamo driven by Miranda seems to be marginally possible. On Neptune a conductive shell similar to that on Uranus appears to be much thinner, which perhaps explains the absence of an active dynamo driven either thermally or precessionally by Triton. It is, however, very likely that Neptune does have a magnetic field but that it is too weak to lead to observable electromagnetic radiations.  相似文献

Summary The maintenance of the axisymmetric component of the flow in the atmosphere is investigated by means of a steady-state, quasi-geostrophic formulation of the meteorological equations. It is shown that the meridional variations in the time-averaged axisymmetric variables can be expressed as the sum of three contributions, one being due to the eddy heat transport, another to the eddy momentum transport, and a third to the convective-radiative equilibrium temperature which enters the problem through the specification of a Newtonian form of diabatic heating. The contributions by the large scale eddies are evaluated through the use of observed values for the eddy heat and momentum transports.The contributions from each of the three forcing mechanisms to the temperature and zonal wind fields are invstigated individually and found to be of about equal importance. The sum of the three contributions are also presented for the temperature, the zonal wind, the stream function associated with the mean meridional circulation and the corresponding vertical motion. Although the results fail to reproduce the main observed features of the lower stratosphere, they are found to be in good agreement with observations in the middle latitude troposphere. 中国东北地区位于中亚造山带东段,夹持在西伯利亚板块、华北板块和太平洋板块之间,是解决东亚大陆构造演化的关键区域,其中额尔古纳地块和兴安地块位于东北地区西部,是两个十分重要的地质构造单元.横过额尔古纳地块东缘和兴安地块西缘的大地电磁测深剖面揭示了两块体结合带附近的深部电性结构,进而为该区构造演化提供新的电性依据.本文通过对剖面测点数据做标准化处理,并对二维偏离度、构造走向等进行计算与分析,采用非线性共轭梯度(NLCG)算法对TE+TM模式的数据做了二维反演,获得了该剖面的地壳和上地幔电性结构模型,划分出三个典型构造单元:额尔古纳地块东缘、碰撞拼合带和兴安地块西缘.研究结果表明,研究区上地壳基本呈高阻特征,可能为岩浆岩,代表其经历了多期次岩浆作用,而额尔古纳地块东缘和兴安地块西缘中下地壳的高导体反映其地壳非刚性的特点,可能形成于后期伸展环境;拼合带中下地壳存在大范围高导体并与上地幔高导体相连,指示出地幔物质上升的通道,反映出地幔物质的上升作用可能是后期构造伸展的重要动力.  相似文献

Conclusion As forF, further improvements can be hardly expected; that applies to both technique of measurement and reduction routine.The effort of reduction according to additional stations is considerable. On principle, the effort can be cut down, if future surveys will be conducted during years of the quiet sun, i. e., minimum particle radiation, again — as was the case in 1965.0 and 1935.0. Then, obviously, in most cases a correction derived from the deviations of hourly means against daily means (Voppel, Wienert [1974]) of the reference observatories (WNG and FUR) may be sufficient, provided that the measurements are carried out not between the early morning and the late afternoon. At noon, both longitude and latitude influences become maximum and most complicated, as was revealed by a statistic investigation (Voppel, Wienert [1974]) and also by an isolated case (Schulz, Beblo [1984]). Only measurements carried out during disturbed intervals and during strong Sq variations are to be reduced according to the nearest of a few additional high-quality variation stations.What is valid for the reduction ofF, that is valid for the other components, because theF variations were calculated fromH andZ variations. From this follows that the residuals ofD and particularly ofI to a great extent are due to uncertainties of measurement. Therefore, in the future, efforts must be focused upon a reliable reproduction of the standards of these components at secular points. However, as has been emphasized in the beginning, only the next survey can clarify as to what extent the probe theodolite contributes to the uncertainty of measurement.  相似文献

The study of the cosmic chemical abundance of the elements suggests that water (which is a combination of the first and second most abundant chemically active elements) is likely to be the most abundant chemical compound in the solar system.It is found that water indeed appears to be a common constituent of planetary bodies even though its presence is not always directly detectable. The amount involved, and the form it takes, varies from one object to another. The Earth has surface liquid water and crustal hydrate materials and only Mars of the terrestrial planets is also likely to have non-atmospheric water and that in frozen form near the surface. The mantles of the icy satellites, and particularly those of Jupiter and Saturn, are the most extended locations of water in the solar system although Uranus and Neptune are likely to have substantial mid-mantle internal water components. Only Mercury and Moon appear to be devoid of water. The smaller bodies such as comets are excluded from the discussion even though they are now known to be composed largely of water-ice.  相似文献

The biology and purity of the water in three profiles of the Oder River in its upper stream on the Czechoslovak territory were investigated in the course of 1979… 1980. Zoobenthos, physical and chemical parametres, and microbiological germs were analysed. The bioseston was considered only briefly. On the basis of the presented material the Oder enters the Ostrava industrial agglomeration as a betamesosaprobic stream (Class I b of water purity), in spite of the fact that many sources of pollution can be found in this section of the river. Physical and chemical parameters can be assessed in a similar way. The Oder River belongs to Class III of water purity according to microbiological ratings.  相似文献

Only by providing the good conditions for the growth of plants can a favorable ecological environment on which human beings rely for existence be created. The upside-down-T double-layer water-conserving afforestation way is developed according to the situation of the shortage of water resources, low soil fertility and vast land in the arid areas. The characteristics of the afforestation way are to change the microenvironment in the root area of the plants, provide the favorable conditions for the growth of plants, and reduce the necessary conditions for the growth of plants in large areas in the arid regions. Meanwhile, the size of its water-conserving layer can be changed according to the size of the planted trees. The different ways of the bottom water-conserving layer can be used according to the requirements. The afforestation way is suitable for planting trees on a small scale and also for afforesting on a large scale under the adverse circumstances in the arid areas, and has been effectively used in the afforestation in the hinterland of Taklamakan Desert and the southern marginal zone of Gurbantonggut Desert. The prospects of the afforestation way are broad in afforestation and desertification control in the desert regions.  相似文献

The depth to the top of magnetic dykes can be estimated from total field aeromagnetic data using the relation between the depth to magnetic sources and the autocorrelation function of magnetic data. By using synthetic anomalies we show that in the ideal case, depth can be determined to an accuracy of 10% or better, when the anomaly sources are two-dimensional dykes. However, the estimated depths depend on the width of the dykes. The estimated depth is about 0.6 times the actual depth to the top of thin dykes, and around the true depth for thick dykes having width-to-depth ratio around 3. The depth is considerably overestimated for very thick dykes (e.g., contacts, which is a special case of the thick dyke). Thus, the autocorrelation method requires that the width-to-depth ratio of the dyke is estimated independently to correctly estimate the depths. Alternatively, it must be assumed that the width-to-depth ratio for the two-dimensional source body is between 1.5 and 4.  相似文献

居里面是地球内部铁磁性物质向顺磁性物质转换的界面,在温度略低于居里点时物质磁化率会快速升高,这被称为Hopkinsin峰.对于地球内部而言Hopkinsin峰是只有几百米至几公里厚的薄层,由于其与居里温度的关系,因此其底界面的深度可以作为居里面深度的估计.传统的居里面深度探测方法包括谱分析方法、等层模型方法和温度-深度剖面法.这些方法是人们研究地球内部热结构和居里面深度的重要手段,但是谱分析和等层模型的结果均有一些固有的缺点,如横向分辨率太低等;而地热方程的结果则受地表因素影响十分严重,并且地球内部的热源分布也不是十分清楚,这导致了其结果是不可靠的.本文提出用MT方法探测居里面深度,通过对几种简单一维模型进行的正反演数值试验,论证了该方法的可行性.结果表明,用MT方法研究居里面性质,不但可以得到居里面深度,还可以得到居里面顶部Hopkinsin峰所对应介质的电学和磁学性质,但必须同时反演岩层的电阻率和磁导率,才能获得较为可靠的居里面深度估计.  相似文献

Progress in understanding the condensation of planetary constituents from a solar nebula necessitates a re-examination of models for the origin and composition of the Earth. All models which appear to be viable require the Earth to have an Fe–FeS core and the full, or nearly full, solar (i.e. chondritic) K/Si ratio. The crust and upper mantle do not contain the requisite potassium for the entire Earth to have the solar K/Si ratio. Therefore, these models require that much of the Earth's potassium, about 80–90%, must be in the deep interior—in the lower mantle or in the core.The hypothesis that a substantial fraction of the Earth's potassium is in the Fe–FeS core is based on the chalcophilic behavior of potassium. Data including the stability of K2S, the occurrence of potassium in sulfide phases in meteorites and in metallurgical systems, and most importantly, experiments on potassium partitioning between solid silicates and Fe–FeS melts support this hypothesis. The present data appear to require at least several percent of the Earth's total potassium to be in the core. Incorporation of much larger amounts of potassium into the core, possibly most of the 80–90% of the Earth's potassium which is postulated to be in the deep interior, is not contradicted by the present data. Additional experimental data, at high pressures, are required before quantitative estimates of the core's potassium content can be made.It is likely that40K is a significant heat source in the core. Decay of40K is a plausible energy source to drive core convection to maintain the geomagnetic field, and to drive mantle convection and seafloor spreading.  相似文献

Most earthquakes on the Chinese mainland have occurred within the depth range of 10-25 km,which is usually called the seismogenic layer.According to the rule of penetration depth,the precursor of the electric anomaly,which is transferred from the seismogenic layer to the Earth's surface,should be very weak,but the ability to monitor earthquakes can be greatly improved if the field precursor effect is taken into consideration because of expansion of the electric anomaly area.The results of one-and two-dimensional modeling computations are consistent with the observed fact that the apparent resistivity decreases before earthquakes.This provides good evidence for our inference.The corresponding physical mechanism is that the conductivity of the anomaly area may be increased by the rock dilatation and fluid permeation due to the stress effect during the developing process of earthquakes.  相似文献

Stratification of the density in groundwater flow stems from the contact between water which contains minerals in low concentration with water containing a high concentration of minerals. The flow in such a flow field should be simulated by solving simultaneously the equations of continuity, motion and solute transport, because solute concentration affects the dynamics of the flow. Such an approach is generally associated with complicated calculations and numerical schemes subject to problems of convergence and stability, as the basic equations are highly nonlinear.This study applies the phenomenological boundary layer approximation, and suggests a reference to three different zones in the flow field: (a) fresh water zone, (b) transition zone, and (c) mineralized water zone. In zones (a) and (c) it is assumed that the potential flow theory can be applied. In zone (b) the flow is nonpotential but the basic similarity conditions typical to boundary layers exist.The approach suggested in this study simplifies the mathematical models that should be used for the flow field simulation. This approach is especially attractive in cases where the Dupuit approximation is applicable. In such cases very often analytical solutions can be obtained for unidirectional flows. In cases that are too complicated for representation by analytical solutions, the method can be used for the creation of simplified numerical schemes.Various examples in this study demonstrate the application of the method for various field problems associated with steady state as well as unsteady state conditions.The simplicity of the method makes it useful for variety of problems. It can be used even by small institutions and small consulting firms, who have usually access to minicomputers and microprocessors.  相似文献

Stable-boundary-layer regimes from the perspective of the low-level jet   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper reviews results from two field studies of the nocturnal stable atmospheric boundary layer (SBL) over the Great Plains of the United States. Data from a scanning remote-sensing system, a High-Resolution Doppler Lidar (HRDL), provided measurements of mean and turbulent wind components at high spatial and temporal resolution through the lowest 500–1000 m of the atmosphere. This data set has allowed the characteristics of the low-level jet (LLJ) maximum (speed, height, direction) to be documented through entire nights. LLJs form after sunset and produce strong shear in the layer below the LLJ maximum or nose, which is a source of turbulence and mixing in the SBL. Simultaneous HRDL measurements of turbulence quantities related to turbulence kinetic energy (TKE) has allowed the turbulence in the subjet layer to be related to LLJ properties. Turbulence structure was found to be a function of the bulk stability of the subjet layer. For the strong-LLJ (> 15 m s−1), weakly stable cases the strength of the turbulence is proportional to the strength of the LLJ. For these cases with nearly continuous turbulence in the subjet layer, low-level jet scaling, in which lengths are scaled by the LLJ height and velocity variables are scaled by the LLJ speed, was found to be appropriate. For the weak-wind (< 5 m s−1 in the lowest 200 m), very stable boundary layer (vSBL), the boundary layer was found to be very shallow (sometimes < 10 m deep), and turbulent fluxes between the earth’s surface and the atmosphere were found to be essentially shut down. For more intermediate wind speeds and stabilities, the SBL shows varying degrees of intermittency due to various mechanisms, including shearinstability and other gravity waves, density currents, and other mesoscale disturbances.  相似文献

The TOPEX-POSEIDON oceanographic satellite (due to be launched in 1992) will proceed to high accuracy altimetric measurements of the sea surface. Since the altimeter signals will propagate through the ionosphere, they will be retarded with respect to their free-space propagation delay. As a result, the measured altitude will exhibit an apparent lengthening which must be considered. In order to correct this effect, the ionosphere total electron content (TEC) beneath the satellite has to be known. This paper addresses the problem of determining the TEC form Doppler measurements performed on telemetric signals propagating between the satellite and the ground stations of the DORIS positioning system. This is an inverse problem which, in general, does not admit a single-valued solution. Physical observations of the ionophere lead us to assume that the TEC along each half-revolution is regular such that we can select an appropriate solution. This solution is approximated by cubic splines. The computed results are compared to simulation results, based on the Bent ionospheric model and seem to be particularly promising.  相似文献

A project to link the Dead Sea to the Red Sea via a canal is undergoing extensive study. In previous works, a generalized mathematical model describing the state of the Dead Sea and a simulation model to implement it have been developed. The model is extended to include the proposed canal project and investigates two alternative modelling canal scenarios: (1) introducing the canal water inflow into the bottom layer or (2) the top layer of the sea. The predicted general effects of the canal are the restoration of the water level of the sea to pre‐1970s level; an increase in the total evaporation rate and a decrease in the top layer salinity. Implementing scenario 1, the model predicts that: the water level of the Dead Sea will exceed the desired level design value and therefore shorter filling time can be used; seasonal stratification will persist; total evaporation rate will increase Modestly; there will a small decrease in the salinity of the top layer but a substantial decrease in the salinity of the bottom layer, which will hurt industries severely; there will be a continuation of seasonal crystallization of aragonite and gypsum. Implementing scenario 2 the model predicts that: the water level of the Dead Sea will be maintained at the desired level design value; stratification will be re‐established, with the formation of a permanent two‐layer system; there will be a substantial increase in the total evaporation rate; the salinity of the top layer will decrease significantly but there will be continuous slower salinity increase in the bottom layer; the crystallization of aragonite will cease, but seasonal gypsum crystallization can be expected to continue as soon as the filling period ends and the canal shifts into normal operation. The profiles of the plasma density in the topside ionosphere, according to the data of sounding on board the Intercosmos-19 satellite, are presented. It is shown that the large-scale fluctuations of the plasma density can be related to the propagation and attenuation of the atmospheric waves (e.g., acoustic gravity waves) in the dynamo region of the ionosphere. In the topside ionosphere, suprathermal particle fluxes can be formed and the plasma density can be modulated at an attenuation of small-scale electrostatic fluctuations of the plasma electron component in plasma pits. Plasma vortices can be formed when polarization fluxes of charged particles escape from regions of heating. The vortex field imparts stability to the inhomogeneous plasma structure, necessary for experimental detection of this structure.  相似文献

We report on the recent studies on the long-term influence of cosmic rays on the Earth's environment. While on short time-scales solar activity is the driver for atmospheric changes suspected to be due to cosmic rays, for long time-scales the heliosphere, i.e. the circumsolar region occupied by the expanding part of the Sun's atmosphere, has to be considered. The heliosphere is identified as an important shield against interstellar influences and hazards. It has been demonstrated by quantitative modelling that a change of the interstellar medium surrounding the heliosphere as a result of the Sun's quasi-Keplerian motion around the galactic center triggers significant changes of planetary environments caused by enhanced fluxes of neutral atoms as well as by the increased cosmic ray fluxes. We give a compilation of recent space science results of interest to the atmospheric science community.  相似文献
