The local network of digital seismic stations WEBNET monitors the seismic activitv of practically the whole region of Western Bohemia/Vogtland swarms. The network consists of ten short-period stations and one very broadband station. The paper describes the configuration of the network, instrumental equipment and the basic parameters of the stations. The method of and formula for computing the local magnitudes from the WEBNET and KRASLICE seismograms are also given. Based on continuous WEBNET observations in the period 1995-1999, we were able to improve the model of temporal and spatial energy release in the region, the principal characteristics of which are summarised in the paper. Apart from direct P and S waves, the WEBNET seismograms also contain other significant P- and S-type waves, provisionally interpreted as reflected PxP, SxS and SxP waves. The fundamental characteristics of these waves are given in the paper, and tentative mechanisms of their origination are discussed. The large residua in the travel times of the P and S waves, and the discrepancies in the seismograms recorded at stations located east of the principal focal zone are pointed out.  相似文献

本文尝试直接利用地震图记录中的Ps转换波,而非传统的接收函数方法,检测地壳介质的各向异性.虽然远震记录中的P波对Ps转换波会有干扰,但P波与Ps转换波具有不同的偏振特性,最小能量法可以将Ps转换波的各向异性参数检测出来,对时间窗的选择也很强壮.本文利用IC台网(New China Digital Seismograph Network,中国新数字地震台网)中的KMI,ENH,LSA,BJT,XAN,WMQ六个台站接收的宽频远震记录进行了测试,并且对比了接收函数方法的结果.研究表明,利用最小能量法直接测量与利用旋转相关法测量接收函数中Ps转换波的结果基本一致.两种方法测量所得的快波偏振方向与地壳运动方向,最大水平主压应力方向,震源机制解压缩轴方向,最大主压应变率方向以及已有的各向异性研究结果基本一致.  相似文献

柴达木盆地是青藏高原东北部大型断陷山间盆地,该地区的流动观测记录了2008年11月10日发生于大柴旦附近的M_W6.3地震。和附近的基岩上的记录相比,盆地内部的记录显示出非常显著的地面运动放大效应,表现为峰值速度的增大、持续时间的延长,其呈现出长持续时间的后续震相。傅里叶频谱分析表明盆地内部显著的后续震相的频率和直达波相比较低,地面质点运动轨迹图显示后续震相为面波运动特征。为了解释地面运动的差异,构建二维模型,通过交错网格高阶有限差分方法计算了地震波在盆地内部的传播过程,结果显示盆地内部低速层的存在造成直达波的放大以及多次反射与转换,盆地边缘结构造成的波的相干叠加产生了强烈的次生面波,其低频、大振幅、长持续时间的特征是盆地内部地面运动放大的主要原因。  相似文献

At a sampling rate of 100 samples per second,the YRY-4 four-gauge borehole strainmeters(FGBS) are capable of recording transient strains caused by seismic waves such as P and S waves or strain seismograms. At such a high sampling rate, data from the YRY-4 strainmeters demonstrate fairly satisfactory self-consistency. The strain tensor seismograms demonstrate the senses of motion of P waves, that is, the type of seismic wave travels in the direction of the maximum normal strain change. The observed strain patterns of S waves significantly differ from those of P waves and should contain information about the source mechanism. Spectrum analysis shows that the strain seismograms are consistent with conventional broadband seismograms from the same site.  相似文献

由深源远震体波记录反演华北北部地壳上地幔速度结构   总被引:5,自引:2,他引:5  
重点研究的地区为河北省北部包括京津地区,以及山西、内蒙的部分地区,在此区选取了29个台站;在向东延伸的背景区,选取了6个台站。利用这些台站的深源远震体波记录资料,通过选取介质结构模型,计算理论地震图,与观测图进行拟合,以确定地震台下介质结构的可接受模型。在拟合时,对每个地震台站都选择若干次深源远震的体波记录作为观测图。对每个地震台站一般都算出60个不同模型的理论图。实际上做出的结果比地壳深,为大约80km(即大致相当于岩石层或称岩石圈)厚度内的地壳上地幔介质结构,它们大都由10层左右的介质组成。通过波形拟合共给出了上述35个台站下的壳幔介质分层结构。并由此给出了Moho面的轮廓。  相似文献

—?Seismic precursors to space shuttle re-entry shock fronts are detected at TXAR in Southwest Texas when the ground track of the orbiter vehicle passes within ~150–200?km of the observatory. These precursors have been termed “shuttle-quakes” because their seismograms superficially mimic the seismograms of small earthquakes from shallow sources. Analysis of the “shuttle-quake” seismograms, however, reveals one important difference. Unlike ordinary earthquakes, the propagation azimuths and horizontal phase velocities of the individual phases of the “shuttle-quakes” are functionally related. From a theoretical model developed to account for the origin of these precursors it is found that the seismic phases of “shuttle-quakes” are “bow” waves. A “bow” wave originates at the advancing tip of the shock front trace (i.e., intersection of the re-entry shock front with the surface of the earth) when the ground speed of the orbiter vehicle exceeds the horizontal phase velocity of a particular seismic phase. “Bow” waves are shown to differ in two important respects from the ordinary seismic phases. They vanish ahead of the advancing tip of the shock front trace and their propagation azimuths and horizontal phase velocities are functionally related. The ground speed of the orbiter vehicle exceeds the horizontal phase velocities of crustal seismic phase over much of the re-entry flight profile. As a result, P,S, and R g “bow” waves will be seen as precursors to the re-entry shock front at stations located within a few hundred km of its ground track.  相似文献

We investigated the development of a distinct later phase observed at stations near the Japan Trench associated with shallow, outer-rise earthquakes off the coast of Sanriku, northern Japan based on the analysis of three-component broadband seismograms and FDM simulations of seismic wave propagation using a heterogeneous structural model of the Japan Trench subduction zone. Snapshots of seismic wave propagation obtained through these simulations clearly demonstrate the complicated seismic wavefield constructed by a coupling of the ocean acoustic waves and the Rayleigh waves propagating within seawater and below the sea bottom by multiple reflections associated with shallow subduction zone earthquakes. We demonstrated that the conversion to the Rayleigh wave from the coupled ocean acoustic waves and the Rayleigh wave as they propagate upward along the slope of seafloor near the coast is the primary cause of the arrival of the distinct later phase at the station near the coast. Through a sequence of simulations using different structural models of the Japan Trench subduction zone, we determined that the thick layer of seawater along the trench and the suddenly rising sea bottom onshore of the Japanese island are the major causes of the distinct later phase. The results of the present study indicate that for realistic modeling of seismic wave propagation from the subduction zone earthquakes, a high-resolution bathymetry model is very crucial, although most current simulations do not include a water column in their simulation models.  相似文献

— The effects of interfaces and velocity gradients on wide-angle seismic attributes are investigated using synthetic seismograms. The seismic attributes considered include envelope amplitude, pulse instantaneous frequency, and arrival time of selected phases. For models with interfaces and homogeneous layers, head waves can propagate which have lower amplitudes, as well as frequency content, compared to the direct arrivals. For media with interfaces and velocity gradients, higher amplitude diving waves and interference waves can also occur. The Gaussian beam and reflectivity methods are used to compute synthetic seismograms for simple models with interfaces and gradients. From the results of these methods, seismic attributes are obtained and compared. It was found that both methods were able to simulate wide-angle seismic attributes for the simple models considered. The advantage of using the Gaussian beam method for seismic modeling and inversion is that it is fast and also asymptotically valid for laterally varying media.  相似文献

本文利用秦岭周边和南美地区的部分台站2012—2014年记录的地震事件垂直分量数据,获取了166个台站对之间的互相关函数,从中观测到了近对跖点台站之间的体波格林函数.在此基础上,我们计算了理论地震图的互相关,其结果与实际数据获得的结果很相似,推测格林函数的能量来源应主要是大地震引起的地球自由振荡.更进一步的研究表明,不同的震源机制对于互相关结果中不同震相的振幅有较大影响,走滑断层引起的地震并不能产生较好的互相关结果.通过对比不同位置台站对的互相关结果,本文认为互相关得到的体波格林函数包含了传播路径信息.  相似文献

Eleven PASSCAL broadband digital seismic stations were employed in the Tibetan Plateau by the Sino-US team from September, 1991 to June, 1992. Seven of them were distributed along the Qinghai-Tibet highway, others in Maqin and Yushu of Qinghai Province, Linzhi and Xigatze of Tibet. The data included 31 local earthquakes recorded by these stations from July, 1991 to January, 1992. Considering the characters of digital data, we identified the seismic phases carefully in several methods using SAC softwares (Seismic Analysis Code) in SUN workstation. We compared the seismic phases after converting the seismograms of the single stations to the seismic profiles; analyzed the first arrivals of P waves in the incident planes by rotating 3 component seismic records; identified the seismic phases from the particle motion pictures. The Pn apparent velocities were calculated in the distance range of 230–1200 km from Linzhi earthquakes, western Changtang earthquakes, Xitieshan and Gonghe earthquakes and the earthquakes in India. The results show that the Pn velocities change slightly in the Tibetan Plateau (8.0–8.1 km/s). These values near the velocities at the uppermost mantle of the normal continents. The Moho undulation in the Tibetan Plateau was also studied by using Pn data by the time-term method. The primary results indicate that the Moho beneath the Tibetan Plateau is flat, and its depths are 67–70 km. 传统的人工边界是在声波或弹性波分解为内行和外行分量的基础上设计的.对于较复杂的介质模型(如粘弹介质、弹塑介质、塑性介质模型等),地震波不能简单地分解为各自满足其运动方程的纵波、横波等成分,且地震波在传播过程中还有衰减现象,因此传统的人工边界已不能有效地用于非弹性的较复杂介质的波场模拟.本文提出了一种适合于更一般的地震模型的波场计算的透射边界条件,并以粘弹介质的一个较简单的二维几何模型为例,通过有限元数值求解这种透射边界和刚性边界下粘弹波的激发和传播,得到地面合成地震记录,证明了这种透射边界用于较复杂介质波场计算是可行的.  相似文献

The ray-Born approximation is a very useful tool for forward modeling of scattered waves. The fact that ray-Born modeling underlies most seismic migration techniques, and therefore shares their assumptions, is a justification in itself to consider it for forward modeling. The ray-Born approximation does not make an explicit distinction between specular reflections and nonspecular diffractions. It therefore allows the modeling of diffractions from structural discontinuities such as edges and tips, as well as caustic diffractions. In the simplest implementation ray-Born seismograms are multiple-free. Ray-Born modeling can be orders of magnitude faster than finite-difference modeling, both in two-and three dimensions.  相似文献

近地表沉积层的S速度结构是强地面震动模拟和地震灾害估计的重要参数,尤其是浅部的S波速度结构在工程上具有重要的应用意义.目前大部分资料来源于工程钻孔或工程地震探测,很少有地震波频率范围内的S波速度结构,或者深度达数百米的S波速度结构.通过对天然地震的井下摆波形记录的分析,提供了一种测量地震波频率范围深达数百米的S波速度的有效方法.收集了首都圈地区44个井下摆的近震记录,利用广义射线方法确认了直达S波及其在地表的反射波震相,并通过测量不同台站上两个震相的到时差,获得了首都圈地区浅层100——500m 深度范围的S波速度结构.研究发现,浅部100m 的平均S波速度低于300m/s.当深度增加到500m 时S波速增加到800m/s,平均速度梯度为0.8 (m/s)/m.研究结果表明,井下摆地震记录波形是研究沉积盆地浅层S波结构的重要资料,将为沉积盆地的强地面震动模拟提供重要基础参数.   相似文献

On May 7, 1986, the residents of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, felt a seismic event of local magnitude 3.6 that occurred at the same time as a rock burst and roof collapse in an active longwall coal mine. Visual inspection of the seismograms reveals a deficiency in energy at frequencies above 20 Hz compared to tectonic earthquakes or surface blasts. The predominance of energy below 5 Hz may explain reports of body wave magnitudes (m b ) greater than 4.2. Also, 1.0 Hz surface waves were more strongly excited than body waves and may explain local felt effects more typically associated with greater epicentral distances. All recorded first motions were dilatational. The concentration of stations in the northern hemisphere allows reverse motion on an east-trending near-vertical plane or strike-slip motion on northwest or southeast trending planes. The reverse focal mechanism is preferred, because the area of roof collapse and the area of active longwall mining are located between two east-striking loose vertical fracture zones. The characteristics of the seismic event suggest that it might have been sudden shear failure resulting from accumulated strain energy in overlying strata behind an active longwall. Although an alternate interpretation of the focal mechanism as an implosion or shear failure in the strata above previously mined out areas is also allowed by the first motion data, this alternate intepretation is not supported by geological data.  相似文献

In the past two decades numerous studies were made to develop and improve the theory and practical computation techniques of synthesizing theoretical seismograms for the model of multi-layered half-space. Today, synthesizing theoretical seismograms in multi-layered half-space is an important tool for understanding the structure of the Earth's interior as well as the seismic source process from well-recorded seismograms data. 目前人们利用4种基本的地震波现象研究地震各向异性,如横波双折射、面波散射、与传播方向有关的走时异常和PS转换波震相.本文利用面波散射产生的Quasi-Love(QL)波研究青藏高原上地幔顶部的各向异性结构特征.首先利用中国地震台网昌都(CAD)台记录的地震波形资料识别出产生QL波的路径,并利用合成地震记录和垂直偏振极性分析证实所观测到的为QL波,而不是高阶振型的Rayleigh波或其他体波震相;然后由Rayleigh波、Love波和QL波的群速度估算了各向异性结构横向变化的转换点;不同周期时,转换点的位置不同,这种频率依赖性还需要进一步的模拟研究.Love波向Rayleigh波耦合(产生QL波)的转换点位置揭示了青藏高原面波方位各向异性变化特征,并以南北向构造带的东西分段性、上地幔流引起的地球内力诱导岩石形变解释了青藏高原各向异性的东西向差异性.  相似文献

The 2008 Wenchuan earthquake occurred in an active earthquake zone, i.e., Longmenshan tectonic zone. Seismic waves triggered by this earthquake can be used to explore the characteristics of the fault rupture process and the hierarchical structure of the Earth’s interior. We employ spectral element method incorporated with large-scale parallel computing technology, to investigate the characteristics of seismic wave propagation excited by Wenchuan earthquake. We calculate synthetic seismograms with one-point source model and three-point source model respectively. The AK135 model is employed as a prototype of our numerical global Earth model. The Earth’s ellipticity, Earth’s medium attenuation, and topography data are taken into consideration. These wave propagation processes are simulated by solving three-dimensional elastic wave governing equations. Three-dimensional visualization of our numerical results displays the profile of the seismic wave propagation. The three-point source, which is proposed from the latest investigations through field observation and reverse estimation, can better demonstrate the spatial and temporal characteristics of the source rupture process than the one-point source. We take comparison of synthetic seismograms with observational data recorded at 16 observatory stations. Primary results show that the synthetic seismograms calculated from three-point source agree well with the observations. This can further reveal that the source rupture process of Wenchuan earthquake is a multi-rupture process, which is composed by at least three or more stages of rupture processes. A multichannel lattice filter structure is utilized to represent seismic waves propagating in adjacent layers in an elastic medium. Using this model, an explicit time-domain solution for arbitrary source and receiver locations is obtained as an ARMA (AutoRegressive and Moving-Average) process. The lattice and ARMA structures have given rise to an effective algorithm for the calculation of offset/downhole synthetic seismograms. A large range of recently developed offset/downhole seismic survey geometries, such as the ‘Yo-Yo’ arrangement, can thus be simulated. In addition, the explicit solutions for upgoing and downgoing waves provide new insight into the properties of general downhole seismic signals, including wave-mode conversion effects and multiple reflections. Furthermore, offset/downhole seismograms generated by a line source (i.e. 2D point source) can also be constructed by superposition of plane waves with different incidence angles. Synthetic seismograms generated using a different source-receiver arrangement indicate that the properties especially associated with offset/downhole seismic signals can be predicted by this modelling method. These properties include arrival times, amplitude attenuation and wave-mode conversion effects. Finally, utilizing this numerical modelling method to a real downhole survey with Yo-Yo geometry may lead to a proper data acquisition and processing procedure, and improves the interpretation confidence of the field section.  相似文献
