Using a simple damped slab model,it was possible to show that a local wind induced 88%(15 of 17)of the near-inertial oscillations(NIO)observed in the mixed layer near the east coast of Korea from 1999 to 2004.The model,however,overestimated the energy level in about two-thirds of the simulated cases,because the slab model was forced with winds whose characteristic period was shorter than the damping time scale of the model at 1.5 d.At the observation site,due to typhoons and orographic effects,high-frequency wind forcing is quite common,as is the overestimation of the energy level in the slab model results.In short,a simple slab model with a damping time-scale of about 1.5 d would be enough to show that the local wind was the main energy source of the near-inertial energy in this area,but the model could not be used to accurately estimate the amount of the work done by the wind to the mixed layer.  相似文献

台风Wayne过后南海北部陆架海域的近惯性振荡   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
1986年8月18日8616号台风维纳(Wayne)在南海中部生成,其后在南海北部迂回盘旋,前后3次穿越巴士海峡,9月4日在海南岛登陆。布放在海南岛东部陆架上的锚系浮标记录了台风中心过境前后风和近表层的海流响应。分析结果表明,台风中心过境造成海水强烈的近惯性运动,其影响大约持续了6—8d,近惯性振荡的频率为0.029 2周.h-1(周期约34.2h),高出当地的惯性振荡频率(0.028cph)4.3%。带通滤波所提取的惯性运动特征显示,台风过境后惯性振荡逐渐衰减,惯性圆逐渐向西南方向偏移。根据这一个例,探讨了台风条件下近表层流速与风速的关系以及台风尾迹中近惯性流流速衰减过程的经验描述,可为近海海洋工程设计提供参考。  相似文献

Typhoon-induced strong surface flows in the Taiwan strait and pacific   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Surface Velocity Program drifters drogued at 15 m depth were deployed in the Taiwan Strait (TS) and Luzon Strait in 2005 and 2006. Several drifters in the TS and the Pacific were fortuitously overrun by the typhoon Hai-Tang (July 2005) and Shan-Shan (September 2006), respectively. The drifter and QuikSCAT wind data clearly demonstrate that the surface current over the TS and the Pacific can change dramatically for a period of about two days due to the strong winds of a typhoon during its passage. Our results show that the area of storm-affected surface currents is considerably smaller for a weaker typhoon (category 2 Shan-Shan), about 300∼400 km in radius, than for a stronger typhoon (category 5 Hai-Tang), about 800 km in radius. The maximum observed current speed in the TS was 1.7 ms−1 (or 2.2 ms−1 in net speed change) under the influence of Hai-Tang, and 2 ms−1 in the Pacific under the influence of Shan-Shan. Drifter observations revealed the unusual phenomenon of flow reversal in the surface layer of TS and the Kuroshio induced by the typhoon passage. The effect of a typhoon on surface flows is amplified by the long, narrow geometry of the TS. Surface currents generated by wind forcing along the passage of a traveling typhoon can be explained by the Ekman drift.  相似文献

黄海是典型的强潮驱动的陆架浅海。为了研究黄海对台风的响应特点,本文利用区域海洋模式(Regional Ocean Modeling Systems,ROMS)分别模拟了在有潮和无潮作用下黄海对台风"布拉万"的响应过程。结果表明,不管潮存在与否,"布拉万"经过黄海后都引起了海表面降温和流速的近惯性振荡响应,这种响应主要分布于黄海中部较深区域,带通滤波提取的近惯性流速具有垂向第一模态特征。同时,研究发现强背景潮流能显著地影响黄海对"布拉万"的响应过程。主要结论如下:一方面,由于潮的存在,近岸垂向混合均匀的较暖水体与远岸较冷水体之间会形成潮混合温度锋面,"布拉万"过后,暖水发生了明显的离岸扩张,尽管路径右侧的混合层降温更显著,但是左侧即黄海西岸的暖水扩张更明显;另一方面,潮的存在减弱了布拉万产生的近惯性振荡响应,半日潮流在黄海仍然占据主导地位。在混合层中潮流的作用减弱了"布拉万"产生的近惯性能量,但也使其更易穿过跃层传入黄海内部。  相似文献

On the basis of the QSCAT/NCEP blended wind data and simple ocean data assimilation(SODA), the wind-induced near-inertial energy flux(NIEF) in the mixed layer of the South China Sea(SCS) is estimated by a slab model, and the model results are verified by observational data near the Xisha Islands in the SCS. Then, the spatial and temporal variations of the NIEF in the SCS are analyzed. It is found that, the monthly mean NIEF exhibits obvious spatial and temporal variabilities, i.e., it is large west of Luzon Island all the year, east of the Indo-China Peninsula all the year except in spring, and in the northern SCS from May to September. The large monthly mean NIEF in the first two zones may be affected by the large local wind stress curl whilst that in the last zone is probably due to the shallow mixed layer depth. Moreover, the monthly mean NIEF is relatively large in summer and autumn due to the passage of typhoons. The spatial mean NIEF in the mixed layer of the SCS is estimated to be about 1.25 m W/m2 and the total wind energy input from wind is approximately 4.4 GW. Furthermore, the interannual variability of the spatial monthly mean NIEF and the Ni?o3.4 index are negatively correlated.  相似文献

Time-dependent wind drift currents in a basin with finite depth have been solved analytically in order to understand their fundamental behavior in coastal waters. The drift currents due to the land/sea breeze, as a typical example of time-dependent winds, have been examined with attention to the manner of their oscillation in their vertical profiles. The theoretical analysis indicates that the drift current due to the land/sea breeze might be amplified effectively around the southern part of Japan, where the oscillating period of the wind is near to the inertial period. The analysis of the physical process of the drift current reveals the following two important aspects: the Ekman boundary layer in a rotating frame is physically consistent with the Stokes boundary layer due to oscillating currents in an inertial frame, and so the inertial motion due to the wind is dispersed to the deeper level by the vertical viscosity in a rotating frame. The harmonic analysis was performed for the residual data after removal of the four main tidal constituents, M2, S2, K1 and O1, from the raw data observed in Suonada sound, the Seto Inland Sea. The feature of the analytically solved drift currents corresponded well to the observed picture. The vertical viscosity in this field has been estimated at 10−3 m2/s by adjusting the harmonically analytical result of the observed data to the vertical profile of the analytically solved drift current.  相似文献

渤海及黄海北部的风海流数值计算及余流计算   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1  
依据黄渤海实测风的资料对渤海及北黄海进行了月平均风海流数值计算。计算表明 ,1月份在西北风的作用下 ,在渤海出现 1个逆时针旋转的环流 ,在辽东湾北部及黄海北部出现 1个顺时针旋转的环流 ,渤海海峡的海流北进南出。 7月份在南风和东南风的作用下 ,风海流的变化形式与 1月份大致相反 ,海峡处呈南进北出的形式。对渤海中部某点 1年的潮流资料通过低通滤波的方法计算逐时的余流值 ,得到该点 1年内表层最大的实测余流为 31.9cm/ s,全年 90 %多的时间内表层余流小于 10 cm/ s。对辽东湾北部某点和渤海湾西南部某点数月潮流资料也进行了低通滤波 ,并将得到的逐时余流与同步风作了比较。依据该 2点风和余流的关系以及黄海北部 6个点风和余流的关系验证了风海流数值计算的结果 ,表明在这些点上实测与计算结果拟合良好  相似文献

201409号超强台风"威马逊"于2014年7月从北部湾北部过境,对红河三角洲近岸海域的水动力环境产生重要影响。本文基于Delft3D建立三维潮、流、浪耦合数值模型,对红河三角洲水位、海流及波浪对台风的响应变化进行模拟。结果表明:威马逊台风期间,红河三角洲海域风速增大约6倍,风向由偏南风转为偏北风,表底层流速均受影响,其中表层变化较大,表现为北分量流速明显增大,流向变为偏南向,与风向主分量变化有关;波高增大为正常海况的9倍,时间变化与风速一致。本研究获得了从北部湾北部海域过境的台风影响下红河三角洲海域水动力环境的响应变化特征,对该海域的物质输运研究及海洋工程建设有重要意义。  相似文献

Record-breaking high waves occurred during the passage of the typhoon Bolaven (1215) (TYB) in the East China Sea (ECS) and Yellow Sea (YS) although its intensity did not reach the level of a super typhoon. Winds and directional wave measurements were made using a range of in-situ instruments mounted on an ocean tower and buoys. In order to understand how such high waves with long duration occurred, analyses have been made through measurement and numerical simulations. TYB winds were generated using the TC96 typhoon wind model with the best track data calibrated with the measurements. And then the wind fields were blended with the reanalyzed synoptic-scale wind fields for a wave model. Wave fields were simulated using WAM4.5 with adjustment of Cd for gust of winds and bottom friction for the study area. Thus the accuracy of simulations is considerably enhanced, and the computed results are also in better agreement with measured data than before. It is found that the extremely high waves evolved as a result of the superposition of distant large swells and high wind seas generated by strong winds from the front/right quadrant of the typhoon track. As the typhoon moved at a speed a little slower than the dominant wave group velocity in a consistent direction for two days, the wave growth was significantly enhanced by strong wind input in an extended fetch and non-linear interaction.  相似文献

利用Argo剖面浮标分析上层海洋对台风“布拉万”的响应   总被引:9,自引:2,他引:7  
In situ observations from Argo profiling floats combined with satellite retrieved SST and rain rate are used to investigate an upper ocean response to Typhoon Bolaven from 20 through 29 August 2012. After the passage of Typhoon Bolaven, the deepening of mixed layer depth(MLD), and the cooling of mixed layer temperature(MLT) were observed. The changes in mixed layer salinity(MLS) showed an equivalent number of increasing and decreasing because the typhoon-induced salinity changes in the mixed layer were influenced by precipitation, evaporation, turbulent mixing and upwelling of thermocline water. The deepening of the MLD and the cooling of the MLT indicated a significant rightward bias, whereas the MLS was freshened to the left side of the typhoon track and increased on the other side. Intensive temperature and salinity profiles observed by Iridium floats make it possible to view response processes in the upper ocean after the passage of a typhoon. The cooling in the near-surface and the warming in the subsurface were observed by two Iridium floats located to the left side of the cyclonic track during the development stage of the storm, beyond the radius of maximum winds relative to the typhoon center. Water salinity increases at the base of the mixed layer and the top of the thermocline were the most obvious change observed by those two floats. On the right side of the track and near the typhoon center when the typhoon was intensified, the significant cooling from sea surface to a depth of 200×104 Pa, with the exception of the water at the top of the thermocline, was observed by the other Iridium float. Owing to the enhanced upwelling near the typhoon center, the water salinity in the near-surface increased noticeably. The heat pumping from the mixed layer into the thermocline induced by downwelling and the upwelling induced by the positive wind stress curl are the main causes for the different temperature and salinity variations on the different sides of the track. It seems that more time is required for the anomalies in the subsurface to be restored to pretyphoon conditions than for the anomalies in the mixed layer.  相似文献

The oceanic response to a typhoon in the East China Sea (ECS) was examined using thermal and current structures obtained from ocean surface drifters and a bottom-moored current profiler installed on the right side of the typhoon’s track. Typhoon Nari (2007) had strong winds as it passed the central region of the ECS. The thermal structure in the ECS responded to Typhoon Nari (2007) very quickly: the seasonal thermocline abruptly collapsed and the sea surface temperature dropped immediately by about 4°C after the typhoon passed. The strong vertical mixing and surface cooling caused by the typhoon resulted in a change in the thermal structure. Strong near-inertial oscillation occurred immediately after the typhoon passed and lasted for at least 4–5 days, during which a strong vertical current existed in the lower layer. Characteristics of the near-inertial internal oscillation were observed in the middle layer. The clockwise component of the inertial frequency was enhanced in the surface layer and at 63 m depth after the typhoon passed, with these layers almost perfectly out of phase. The vertical shear current was intensified by the interaction of the wind-driven current in the upper layer and the background semi-diurnal tidal current during the arrival of the typhoon, and also by the near-inertial internal oscillation after the typhoon passage. The strong near-inertial internal oscillation persisted without significant interfacial structure after the mixing of the thermocline, which could enhance the vertical mixing over several days.  相似文献

本文以2006年9月日本以南海域的台风YAGI为例,应用黑潮延伸体附近的KEO浮标观测资料,并结合卫星遥感等融合资料,分析海洋飞沫在台风不同发展阶段对海气界面间热量通量和动量通量的影响。首先,定量地分析台风期间海洋飞沫对海气热通量的影响。结果表明,在台风YAGI过境期间,海洋飞沫能够显著地加剧海气界面间的热量交换,尤其是潜热交换。海洋飞沫增加的热通量随着风速的增强而增大,随着波龄的增大而减小。随后,通过动量分析表明,在台风YAGI过境期间,海洋飞沫显著地增强了由大气向海洋的动量转移。当风速达到台风量级后,考虑海洋飞沫所增加的动量通量与界面动量通量大小相当,同时,在此风速条件下,海洋飞沫在海气界面形成极限饱和悬浮层,抑制风到海表面的动量转移,导致海气界面间总的动量通量的增长率随之减小。  相似文献

根据浙江中部近海2018年4月—2018年10月的近岸锚系流速观测数据和同步的风速风向数据,结合锚系点周边水域全潮大、中、小潮水文观测资料,进而分析了该海域水流的变化特征。锚系点余流主要沿着与等深线平行的方向(东北-西南向),余流散点图的主轴方向为25.5°(东北偏北向),沿着主轴方向的余流与垂直于主轴方向的余流标准差分别为0.12m/s和0.02m/s。余流北分量和风速北分量具有良好的相关性,两者月平均时间序列的相关系数达到了0.96,逐时整点时间序列的相关系数为0.69。锚系点余流具有13.37 d和28.49 d的周期性变化特征,该周期与大、小潮的更替周期非常接近。小潮期间,潮流的强度相对较弱,余流对风的响应较为显著,余流和风的相关性较好,两者相关系数为0.72;而在大潮期间,潮差较大且潮流流速较强,余流和风的相关性相对较差,两者相关系数为0.30。本研究,得到了锚系点及其周边水域的流速分布特征,初步获悉天文潮和风场等的非线性作用对研究区域潮流和余流的影响,可以为浙江中部沿岸海洋开发和环境保护提供动力学方面的依据。  相似文献

台风往往会带来强风、大浪、风暴潮。强潮大浪给长江口深水航道整治工程的维护带来挑战。构建了覆盖中国海的台风浪—风暴潮耦合数学模型,模拟了台风“烟花”作用下长江口北槽水域波浪的发展过程,分析了长江口北槽水域波浪分布特点和台风强度。研究表明:叠加风场和潮汐模式共同驱动的台风浪―风暴潮耦合模型,可以准确模拟台风期间长江口水域波浪的生成和发展过程;“烟花”台风期间,外海大浪以东方向浪为主,长江口北槽南挡沙堤沿线有效波高最大值介于1.61~5.22 m之间,自东向西逐渐衰减;台风过程中,长江口北槽水域有效波高在台风二次登录时刻达到最大,口门处有5. 0 m以上大浪;依据台风过程中长江口风速及外海波高、周期与参考规范值对比分析得出,“烟花”台风过程波浪强度约为50年一遇。  相似文献

本文应用水动力模型及溢油模块对代表性风况下钦州湾金鼓江的溢油事故进行情景模拟,且水动力模型结果与实测潮位和实测潮流吻合较好。低潮时发生溢油,不同风况下油粒子在5.5-8.5h后漂到金鼓江上游养殖区。高潮时发生溢油,油粒子在不同风况下漂移轨迹差别较大,例如无风时油粒子在钦州湾颈和三墩外海附近往复运动,而南风3.3m/s工况下油粒子将最终影响大榄坪港区的东南端。另外,高风速下不利风向会缩减油膜抵达敏感区的时间,同时风速越大,蒸发越快。因此风场对溢油模型有重要意义,今后将在精细化WRF模型基础上优化溢油模型并构建溢油决策系统,为地方经济发展和海洋环境保护提供科技支撑。  相似文献

Numerical simulation based on the Princeton Ocean Model (POM) was performed for a region of the Southeast Baltic in order to compare data on the spatial distribution of velocity and bottom sediments. Special attention was focused on the influence of western and northeastern winds, which generate intense quasi-geostrophic currents can may cause very high velocities in the near bottom layer, which results in the elution of bottom sediments and transport of their fine fractions. An abrupt change in wind velocity intensifies the effect of elution due to generation of inertial internal waves that penetrate into the bottom layer. The spatial distributions of the velocity in the surface and near bottom layers are compared with data on bottom sediments. It turned out that areas with the highest velocities that formed under the effect of western and northeastern winds in most cases coincide with areas where bottom sediments are represented by coarse-grain fractions of gravel and sands.  相似文献

The four leading tidal constituents M2, S2, K1 and O1 in the South China Sea are simulated by using POM. The model is forced with tide-generating potential and four leading tidal constituents at the open boundary. In order to simulate more exactly, TOPEX/Poseidon altimeter data are assimilated into the model and the open boundary is optimized. The computed co-tidal charts for M2 and K1 constituents are generally consistent with previous results in this region. The numerical simulation shows that energetic internal tides are generated over the bottom topography such as the Dongsha Islands, the Xisha Islands, the Zhongsha Islands, the Nansha Islands and the Luzon Strait.  相似文献

为了分析台风影响下浙江沿海风和浪的演变特点,利用浙江省海洋浮标站监测数据和欧洲中期天气预报中心第五代全球气候大气再分析数据(European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis v5,ERA5),选取2010年以来严重影响浙江的7次台风个例,对台风作用下浙江沿海海面风和浪的演变特点进行分析。结果表明:在台风影响过程中,海浪波型多数呈现混合浪-风浪-混合浪的演变规律;涌浪波型的出现与台风强度及其与浮标站的距离和方位有关,也与海洋潮汐现象紧密相关。台风影响期间,浙江沿海浪高的变化受风速和风向共同作用影响。在风向不变的情况下,持续风速增大对浪高的增大有明显作用;风向的变化也会对浪高变化产生影响,向岸风和离岸风的转变会造成浪高出现剧烈变化。ERA5 再分析资料有效波高在台风浪较大时会呈现偏小的趋势,分析订正后的ERA5 有效波高发现,台风浪有效波高大值区与台风中心位置相关。研究结果可为严重影响浙江沿海的台风浪预报服务提供参考。  相似文献
