极区平流层爆发性增温(SSW)是冬季半球最剧烈的大气扰动现象之一. SSW期间温度和风场的剧烈变化被认为是冬季半球中高层大气波动能量异常增强的主要原因.流星雷达是能够稳定连续探测中间层和低热层风场的重要地基探测设备.主要依托国家重大科技基础设施建设项目:“子午工程”,我国已建设了多个流星雷达观测台站,对中间层和低热层风场进行了长期稳定连续的监测,为揭示SSW期间中间层和低热层波动异常变化的物理机制提供了重要的观测资料.本文简述了近年来以我国“子午工程”流星雷达监测数据为核心,SSW期间中高层大气行星波的研究进展和成果;深入讨论了冬季半球中高层大气行星波发生异常变化的主要激发机制.随着“子午工程”二期十个流星雷达台站即将建成,本文对利用“子午工程”流星雷达监测台网进一步研究SSW期间中高层大气波动的变化特性进行了展望.  相似文献

Na原子可以作为大气动力学过程(如潮汐波、重力波等)的示踪剂,因而对Na层的探测研究成为研究中层顶区的重要手段. 本文建立了时变的中高层大气光化学模式,并与国际电离层模式 (IRI 95) 与Na层光化学理论相结合,建立完整时变的中高层大气Na层光化学模式,着重研究Na层分布的昼夜变化. 计算结果表明,在Na原子分布的峰值附近,Na层不出现大的昼夜变化,而在Na层的上部和下部,Na原子密度存在明显的昼夜变化. 这些特性与实际的观测结果比较一致.  相似文献

近年来,地球高层大气与电离层之间的耦合研究为众多学者所关注.在回顾这一领域国际上若干研究方向进展的基础上,着重介绍了中国学者的近期研究工作与贡献.首先,扼要介绍了中国高层大气观测的新发展,包括激光雷达、FP干涉仪、全天空气辉成像仪等光学探测,MST雷达、全天空流星雷达等无线电探测手段.在高层大气变化特性研究中,介绍了高层大气的气候学及各种大气波动的研究进展.在高层大气与低电离层的耦合研究方面,介绍了突发钠层及低热层钠层的观测研究和钠层模式的研究进展,以及突发E层与大气行星波之间的耦合研究工作.在高层大气波动过程与电离层F2层耦合研究中,着重介绍了电离层四波经度结构与高层大气非迁移潮汐之间的耦合特性与机理研究.在热层与电离层耦合的研究方向上,介绍了热层背景大气风场和重力波对电离层的作用、带电粒子对赤道热层的影响与热层赤道异常的形成机理研究等热层电离层相互耦合工作.综合认为,近年来中国学者在高层大气与电离层耦合的研究领域进行了大量工作,包括实验观测及数据分析、模式化与理论研究等.中国学者取得的研究成果为这一领域近年来的进展与突破做出了重要贡献.  相似文献

全天空流星雷达广泛应用于中间层-低热层大气水平风场的观测,为研究该区域大气风场的变化特征提供了重要数据支持.目前流星雷达主要采用单站观测模式,没有水平分辨率,并且只能探测流星区域的大气平均水平风场.为了得到更加丰富且精准的中间层-低热层大气风场信息,本研究介绍了建设在中国安徽地区的多站流星雷达系统,该系统包括安装在蒙城(33.36°N, 116.49°E)的一台单站流星雷达和长丰(31.98°N, 117.22°E)的一台远程接收机,两地直线距离约为167km.相比于单站流星雷达,多站流星雷达系统探测到的前向散射流星数目增加了约70%,并且一般可以提供400 km×400km以上的水平观测区域.除此之外,多站流星雷达系统还可以提供更加丰富的流星观测角度.新多站系统可以实现中间层-低热层大气二维水平风场的观测,在获取平均水平风场以及风场水平梯度的同时,还可以估计水平风场的散度、相对涡度和拉伸、剪切形变信息.多站流星雷达能够提供更多的水平风场参数,对进一步研究中间层-低热层区域的大气动力学过程具有重要意义.不仅如此,未来即将建成的多站流星雷达观测网将会实现中国中东部地区上空的中间层-低热层...  相似文献

中层大气温度变化的探测与研究是当前气候变化研究课题的一个组成部分,本文基于海南激光雷达2010—2020年间的长期观测,通过对中层大气Rayleigh散射信号的反演,探讨了海口(19.9°N,110.3°E)上空中层大气(32~64 km)温度变化特性.研究结果显示,中层大气温度呈周期性变化趋势,年、半年、季节变化幅度最大值分别为6.0、3.8、1.7 K,平流层顶位于42~51 km高度,日平均温度最高为~262 K.平流层温度主要表现为年变化趋势,半年和季节变化不明显;平流层顶和低中间层温度变化趋势具有年和半年变化特征,季节变化不明显.在太阳活动性发生明显变化的周期里,平流层顶温度的年际变化趋势对辐射通量F10.7指数变化有较明显的响应;而在太阳活动平静的年份里,温度变化趋势与太阳辐射通量变化的相关性不明显.  相似文献

目前关于重力波和中高层大气放电现象之间的相关性问题,在同步观测和数值模拟研究方面都较少,为了研究大气重力波对TLEs的调制效应,建立了三维对流层-中高层大气准静电场耦合效应模式,模拟分析了重力波导致的中高层大气密度(包括中性空气密度和电子密度)不均匀对中高层sprite halos(闪晕)始发位置和光辐射形态的影响.结果表明,重力波扰动导致低电离层大气密度分布不均匀,在重力波波谷位置的空气更易被击穿,使得sprite halos在重力波波谷位置更容易始发.同时,重力波扰动会导致sprite halos光辐射形态产生变形,强发光区主要沿波谷位置分布,波峰位置的光强相对较弱,重力波扰动幅值越大,对sprite halos光辐射形态的影响越大;而对流层闪电强度越大,光辐射空间分布受重力波的影响越小;此外,观测到的sprite halos光辐射的强度和形态特征还会受到观测方位的影响.  相似文献

利用东港(40°N,124°E)台站于2013年9月15—16日的OH气辉成像观测数据报告了两个重力波事件(1和2).同时,结合北京十三陵(40.3°N,116.2°E)台站的多普勒流星雷达风场数据和位于39.4°N,130.6°E位置处的SABER/TIMED卫星的温度参数分析发现,观测的两个重力波事件于2013年9月15—16日02∶00—03∶00 LT时间段,和70~110 km高度是自由传播的.利用反射线追踪方法分析表明,重力波事件1和事件2分别产生于(39.3°N,117.2°E)和(47.1°N,121.3°E).且事件1的波源位置与对流活动和大气向上向下运动过程中产生的不稳定性吻合较好.然而,通过ECMWF再分析资料和MTSAT卫星观测数据分析表明,事件2可能由对流活动或大气向上运动过程中可能产生的不稳定性导致.利用MERRA自地面到约70 km高度的风场数据分析表明,观测的重力波事件1和事件2的水平相速度分别是83.5 m·s-1(事件1)和80.1 m·s-1(事件2),均大于低层-中层大气风速-10~45 m·s-1.因此,观测的两个重力波事件是可能从低层大气传播到中层-低热层大气的.  相似文献

本研究揭示了北半球冬季Madden-Julian振荡(MJO)对北半球中间层大气的作用.卫星观测和数值模式模拟的结果表明,北半球高纬度中间层大气在MJO第4相位后约35天显著降温,这一现象滞后MJO引起的高平流层扰动约10天.在中纬度,向上传播的行星波增强还导致了中间层温度在滞后MJO第4相位25天左右时出现1波结构的温度异常. MJO引起的异常行星波可以调制平流层顶-低中间层区域纬向西风在MJO第4相位后约30天减弱.同时,由于重力波的临界层滤波机制,减弱的西风会引起中间层的气候平均西向重力波减弱.受到行星波和重力波变化的共同作用,中间层的经向环流在MJO第4相位滞后约35天显著减弱,并导致极区中间层降温.  相似文献

Recent observations suggest that there may be a causal relationship between solar activity and the strength of the winter Northern Hemisphere circulation in the stratosphere. A three-dimensional model of the atmosphere between 10–140 km was developed to assess the influence of solar minimum and solar maximum conditions on the propagation of planetary waves and the subsequent changes to the circulation of the stratosphere. Ultraviolet heating in the middle atmosphere was kept constant in order to emphasise the importance of non-linear dynamical coupling. A realistic thermo-sphere was achieved by relaxing the upper layers to the MSIS-90 empirical temperature model. In the summer hemisphere, strong radiative damping prevents significant dynamical coupling from taking place. Within the dynamically controlled winter hemisphere, small perturbations are reinforced over long periods of time, resulting in systematic changes to the stratospheric circulation. The winter vortex was significantly weakened during solar maximum and western phase of the quasi-biennial oscillation, in accordance with reported 30 mb geopotential height and total ozone measurements.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the beautiful and mysterious Pc1 geoelectromagnetic waves that attract the attention of many researchers all over the world as an essential element of the space physics. It is concluded that in spite of the recent progress in the investigation of Pc1 waves, it is still necessary to make a careful study of some unsettled problems posed in the past. Relevant problems and disputable issues of the physics of Pc1 waves are discussed in this paper. The discussion is started with the paradoxical dependence of the Pc1 wave activity on the solar wind plasma density, which is considered as the key problem. It is argued that the solution of this paradox is of paramount importance to understand the 11-year solar cycle variation of the Pc1 occurrence rate, interplay between Pc1 and oxygen ions in the magnetosphere, impact of interplanetary magnetic field sector boundaries on the Pc1 wave activity, and other similar problems. A schematic picture showing the place of Pc1 waves in the system of solar–terrestrial relations is presented.  相似文献

The effect of the 11-year solar cycle on the response of planetary wavenumbers 1 and 2 at 10 and 30 hPa in winter to solar activity oscillations on the time scale of the Sun's rotation (27.2 day) is discussed in terms of statistical spectral analysis. The three oscillations studied are the 27.2 d (period of the Sun's rotation), 25.3 d (periodicity caused by modulation of the 27.2 d stratospheric response by annual atmospheric variation), and 54.4 d (doubled period of the solar rotation). A significant effect of the 11-year solar cycle is found for the 54.4 d periodicity in planetary wavenumber 1, and for the 27.2 and 25.3 d periodicities in planetary wavenumber 2. The effect of the 11-year solar cycle is expressed in the evident differences between the amplitudes of responses of planetary waves at maximum and minimum of the solar cycle: the amplitudes are much larger at high than at low solar activity. The 11-year modulation of planetary wave activity is most pronounced at mid-latitudes, mainly at 40–60°N, where the observed variability of planetary waves is large. The results obtained are in good agreement with results of the recent modeling study by Shindell et al. (Science 284 (1999) 305).  相似文献

Numerical modeling of changes in the zonal circulation and amplitudes of stationary planetary waves are performed with an accounting for the impact of solar activity variations on the thermosphere. A thermospheric version of the Middle/Upper Atmosphere Model (MUAM) is used to calculate the circulation in the middle and upper atmosphere at altitudes up to 300 km from the Earth’s surface. Different values of the solar radio emission flux in the thermosphere are specified at a wavelength of 10.7 cm to take into account the solar activity variations. The ionospheric conductivities and their variations in latitude, longitude, and time are taken into account. The calculations are done for the January–February period and the conditions of low, medium, and high solar activity. It was shown that, during high-activity periods, the zonal wind velocities increases at altitudes exceeding 150 km and decreases in the lower layers. The amplitudes of planetary waves at high solar activity with respect to the altitude above 120 km or below 100 km, respectively, are smaller or larger than those at low activity. These differences correspond to the calculated changes in the refractive index of the atmosphere for stationary planetary waves and the Eliassen–Palm flux. Changes in the conditions for the propagation and reflection of stationary planetary waves in the thermosphere may influence the variations in their amplitudes and the atmospheric circulation, including the lower altitudes of the middle atmosphere.  相似文献

In this article, we examine reflection, dissipation and attenuation of vertically propagating waves in an isothermal atmosphere under the combined effect of Newtonian cooling, thermal conduction and viscosity with a weak horizontal magnetic field. We consider the case in which the combined effect of viscosity and magnetic field is dominated by that of the thermal conduction and for small values of the Newtonian parameter. As a result, the atmosphere can be divided into three distinct regions that are connected by two transition regions. The lower and middle regions are connected by a semi-transparent barrier and the middle and upper regions are connected by an absorbing and reflecting barrier. In the connecting barriers the reflection and transmission of the waves takes place. The presence of Newtonian cooling effects on the adiabatic region, produces attenuation in the amplitudes of the waves and reduces the energy absorption in the transition regions. The reflection coefficient is determined in the lower and middle regions and the results are discussed in the context of the heating of the solar atmosphere.  相似文献

1982-1986年期间,在东汪、隆尧和百尺口邢台地区的强震震源区完成了3条近NW向地震转换波测深剖面。利用转换波数据处理新方法,实现了转换震相的相位对比追踪,得出了震源区较详细的深部构造剖面图和速度结构模型。发现强震震源区深部构造的特点为:上地壳强烈褶皱变形;中地壳急剧减薄;下地壳和上地幔局部上隆;存在一组深部超壳断裂;低速层急剧增厚,波速比增大以及上地幔波速偏低。表明研究区的下地壳和上地幔的温度可能偏高,其地震活动可能与上地幔物质的侵入作用有关。  相似文献

Observations of the horizontal wind field over the South Pole were made during 1995 using a meteor radar. These data have revealed the presence of a rich spectrum of waves over the South Pole with a distinct annual occurrence. Included in this spectrum are long-period waves, whose periods are greater than one solar day, which are propagating eastward. These waves exhibit a distinct seasonal occurrence where the envelope of wave periods decreases from a period of 10 days near the fall equinox to a minimum of 2 days near the winter solstice and then progresses towards a period near 10 days at the spring equinox. Computation of the meridional gradient of quasi-geostrophic potential vorticity has revealed a region in the high-latitude upper mesosphere which could support an instability and serve as a source for these waves. Estimation of the wave periods which would be generated from an instability in this region closely resembles the observed seasonal variation in wave periods over the South Pole. These results are consistent with the hypothesis that the observed eastward propagating long-period waves over the South Pole are generated by an instability in the polar upper mesosphere. However, given our limited data set we cannot rule out a stratospheric source. Embedded in this spectrum of eastward propagating waves during the austral winter are a number of distinct wave events. Eight such wave events have been identified and localized using a constant-Q filter bank. The periods of these wave events ranges from 1.7 to 9.8 days and all exist for at least 3 wave periods. Least squares analysis has revealed that a number of these events are inconsistent with a wave propagating zonally around the geographic pole and could be related to waves propagating around a dynamical pole which is offset from the geographic pole. Additionally, one event which was observed appears to be a standing oscillation.  相似文献

黄河流域是我国遭受地震灾害最为严重的流域,近年来探测工作对黄河中下游的活动断层有较多新认识,如构成北华北盆地与南华北盆地新构造分界的新乡-商丘断裂,新发现存在多个晚更新世活动段,具备发生中强级以上地震的可能,对识别沿黄河中下游的地震危险源、提高地震危险性认识有重要影响。本文通过总结近年来活动断层探测的最新进展,分析了沿黄河中下游地区的活动断层分布特征及其可能产生的灾害影响,并提出后续工作规划建议。  相似文献
