2011年4月28-29日中国北方强沙尘暴发生机制位涡分析

利用实况观测资料及NCEP1°×1°再分析资料和位涡理论,对2011年4月28-29日发生在中国北方的一次强沙尘暴发生机制进行研究.结果表明:500 hPa强斜压槽为此次沙尘暴的主要影响系统,同时,高原到新疆低层暖高压为沙尘暴的发生提供了有利的不稳定条件;沙尘暴主要发生在地面冷锋后部,是一次锋面后部大风型沙尘暴过程,地面3h变压(▽P3)对沙尘天气的移动路径有明显的指示作用;强沙尘暴发生前CAPE增大,形成了有利的不稳定条件;500 hPa位涡对沙尘暴影响系统有明显的指示意义,0.5 PVU等值线可作为沙尘天气区的分界线;此次沙尘暴发生过程在位温剖面上表现为高纬的冷空气向低纬度扩展的过程;等熵面高值位涡系统由高层向低层下滑中,由于等熵面坡度增加和位涡守恒,使低层垂直涡度增大,导致地面气旋环流的发展和风速的增强,从而导致了此次沙尘暴天气的发生.     

春季天气变率对华北沙尘暴频次的影响

利用欧洲中期数值天气预报中心再分析资料及地面台站观测资料,分析华北春季沙尘暴日数与500 hPa月平均环流及与近地面环流天气变率长期变化的关系,分析时段为1962~2000年。研究发现华北地区春季沙尘暴频次与东亚地区中高纬度500 hPa高度场有显著的负相关,相关中心区在蒙古国及西伯利亚一带,这可能说明高空环流场在这种形势下易于造成高纬度冷空气南下,因此使得华北沙尘暴频次增加。天气过程是形成沙尘暴的直接原因,东亚地区天气变率存在明显的年际和长期变化,研究发现天气变率与沙尘暴频次之间有非常显著的关系：当天气尺度变率增大 (减少) 时,沙尘暴频次也增加 (减少)。其中具体分析了850 hPa低压和地面冷高压活动与沙尘暴的关系,发现东北低压及自蒙古和西伯利亚南下的冷空气活动都对华北沙尘暴频次有明显的影响。近40年来东亚天气变率有显著的减弱趋势,这也在很大程度上解释了沙尘暴频数的显著减少。另外,北极涛动对东亚天气变率和华北沙尘暴频次的年际变化也有一定的影响,北极涛动强的年份华北沙尘暴次数偏少。     

西北地区东部沙尘暴转型的环流演变及差异特征分析

利用西北地区东部近50 a较完整的沙尘暴资料序列,结合同期NCEP/NCAR全球月平均再分析资料,研究了西北地区东部沙尘暴过程发生频次的年际变化,重点揭示了西北地区东部沙尘暴转型(过程发生频次由多到少及由少到多)的大尺度环流演变及差异特征。结果表明:西北地区东部沙尘暴过程发生频次在20世纪80年代中期出现明显转型,减少趋势通过了0.01的信度检验,90年代末,沙尘暴频次明显增加,但未通过显著性检验;沙尘暴由多到少转型时,乌拉尔山(简称乌山)到巴尔喀什湖(简称巴湖)附近温度负距平减小,纬向风减弱,经向风明显加强,冷空气强度呈逐渐减弱趋势,贝加尔湖地区到西北地区东部的温度正距平增大,纬向风明显减弱,经向风逐渐加强;位于该区域的高压脊呈逐渐增强趋势;而沙尘暴由少到多转型时,大尺度环流场与由多到少转型相比有明显的差异。     

宁夏春季典型沙尘暴年环流特征量分析

利用近1960-2000年宁夏春季沙尘暴发生次数及常规气象与环流特征量、海温等资料, 首先分析得出了宁夏近41a来沙尘暴发生频次的变化规律; 其次通过对宁夏典型沙尘暴多、少年气候特征对比分析, 发现沙尘暴多、少年前期气象要素及环流特征量存在明显差异: 沙尘暴少(多)发年前一年夏季及前一年夏季到当年春季累积降水量偏多(少); 冬春季冷空气活动次数偏少(多); 前期及同期北半球极涡面积偏小(大)、强度偏弱(强); 冬季东亚大槽位置偏东(西)、强度偏弱(强); 前一年春季北太平洋海温距平场表现为厄尔尼诺遥相关分布型(反厄尔尼诺遥相关分布型)。依据作用机理, 提出了在西北地区生态环境局部治理、整体恶化背景下, 宁夏春季沙尘暴发生频次减少, 主要是东亚环流调整、冬季风减弱所致, 同时还形成了宁夏春季沙尘暴短期气候趋势预测概念模型。     

西北地区东部沙尘暴转型对气候和生态环境变化的响应

 利用西北地区东部近50 a较完整的沙尘暴资料序列和1981年以来NOAA/AVHRR的NDVI数据,通过量化反演关键区植被覆盖率,并结合土地详查等代用资料的校准,对西北地区东部沙尘暴转型的生态演变量化特征与基本型态及沙尘暴过程发生频次、持续时间和高发站沙尘暴启动风速的年代际演变特征进行了综合分析。结果表明:1951年以来,西北地区东部沙尘暴过程发生频次出现了由多到少的明显转型,年突变出现在1987年,春季突变出现于1986年;近50 a,该区域年NDVI指数振荡幅度较大,并在波动中略有减小,生态环境整体呈退化趋势,在此背景下,沙尘暴过程持续时间明显增加,启动风速显著降低。依据生态/气候影响分析模型,在不同生态/气候型态下,西北地区东部沙尘暴过程频次和持续时间有明显差异,气候变化对沙尘暴过程发生频次具有明显的驱动作用,而生态环境的变化对沙尘暴过程持续时间有显著的调节与控制作用。     

1966—2018年河西走廊春季寒潮频次及影响因子分析

基于甘肃河西走廊15个国家基准基本站点提供的1966年1月1日~2018年12月31日春季（3~5月）逐日最低气温值数据,利用线性回归分析方法、Spline空间插值法和Mann-Kendall趋势和突变检验法,探讨了河西走廊地区1966—2018年春季（3~5月）寒潮频次变化及其影响因子。研究表明：（1） 1966—2018年河西走廊地区春季（3~5月）单站寒潮频次总体呈现下降趋势〔–0.098次·（10 a）^–1〕,其中1980—2010年寒潮频次呈显著下降趋势,2010年之后下降趋势变缓,未通过显著性检验;区域寒潮53 a来频次总体呈缓慢下降趋势〔–0.015次·（10 a）^–1〕。（2） 近53 a河西走廊地区春季三个月中,单站寒潮总量4月>3月>5月,其中4月、5月寒潮频次下降不明显,3月频次下降显著。（3） 空间上,大致以北大河和黑河干流为界,两河中间区域春季寒潮频次低,而北大河以北和黑河干流以东区域则是寒潮高值区,走廊外围地区寒潮频次较高,且大多呈显著下降趋势,寒潮频次与气温距平存在明显负相关关系,内部地区变化趋势不明显。（4） 河西地区春季寒潮频次受气候变暖、地形和大气环流的影响,寒潮频次变化趋势存在地区差异。研究可提高对甘肃河西走廊寒潮演化过程的认知,为河西走廊气候变化的进一步研究奠定基础。     

2015年2月21日内蒙古风雪沙尘天气特征

利用高空、地面常规观测资料和NCEP再分析资料,针对2015年2月21日内蒙古中部阴山北麓地区暴风雪转强沙尘暴天气,进行了对比分析。结果表明:该次天气过程受强冷空气影响,由高空蒙古冷涡迅速发展加强产生。地面冷锋形成降雪,锋区风力较大,形成了暴风雪,随后受副冷锋影响,风力明显增强,产生沙尘暴天气。暴风雪与沙尘暴差异表现在:(1)冷涡、冷锋是主要影响系统,但天气系统影响部位不同,暴风雪多发生在锋区及暖区中,沙尘暴多发生在锋区后部的强冷平流控制区中。(2)水汽条件差异明显,暴风雪相对湿度需要大于70%,沙尘暴相对湿度小于30%。(3)大气层结需求不同,暴风雪对不稳定层结要求不高,沙尘暴对不稳定层结和深厚的混合层有较高的要求。(4)暴风雪发生时气温骤降,沙尘暴发生时温度缓慢持续下降。     

巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区降水量的时空变化特征

分析了巴丹吉林沙漠周边17个常规气象测站1951—2005年的逐月降水量及沙尘暴频次和东亚夏季风指数。(1)沙漠周边地区降水量的空间分布明显受地形影响:紧靠沙漠的区域地势低、干旱,各季降水量都小;沙漠外围较远处(特别是受祁连山影响的西南边)地势高、湿润,各季降水量都大;地形增高会使降水量增多1个量级以上,但对其季节配额无明显影响。夏季降水量配额最大,平均高达61.6%。(2)依据各站降水量年际变化间的相关系数及测站间的地域关系和地貌相似程度,可将该区域划为4个分区:一为地势较低、紧挨沙漠、极为干旱的沙漠西北缘区,二为气候较湿、受祁连山影响的沙漠西南缘区(或称祁连山影响区),三为位于巴丹吉林沙漠和腾格里沙漠之间的民勤区,四为远离沙漠、但与其周边地区地貌相似的沙漠东侧区。(3)1951—2005年的各个年代,4个分区各季降水量由大到小的顺序均为:祁连山影响区、沙漠东侧区、民勤区和沙漠西北缘区,与其平均海拔由高到低的顺序一致;就各季降水量及其配额的年代际演变位相而言,祁连山影响区可以代表整个区域。(4)1971—2005年各分区年降水量呈增大趋势,春季降水量增加尤为显著(增幅约为0.41mm·a-1),夏季降水量有减小趋势;随海拔增高,春季及年降水量增幅加大,夏季降水量减幅减小;祁连山影响区对全区年降水量增大的贡献最大。(5)各季及年降水量与东亚夏季风的强弱间均呈复相关;其中冬、夏季及年降水量与夏季风间的负相关随海拔升高而加大,说明夏季风对沙漠以南高海拔处的降水影响更为显著。(6)各季沙尘暴与降水量间以负相关为主,各分区冬、春季降水量偏多时,其冬、春季及夏季沙尘暴的发生频次一般偏少。     

中国西北干旱区沙尘暴源地风沙大气边界层特征

应用西北干旱区沙尘暴源地甘肃省民勤县1971-2008年共1 811个大风/沙尘暴个例的逐日08：00和20：00高空资料、降水、日最高气温以及沙尘暴实时资料,详细探讨了不同月份和季节干湿变化、沙尘暴强度、沙尘暴出现时间和持续时间的大气边界层垂直结构变化特征。结果表明：（1）沙尘暴发生时4-5月最大混合层较厚,在2 500 m以上;而强沙尘暴发生时6-7月较厚,7月最厚为2 530 m。3-8月沙尘暴发生时最大混合层厚度低于大风发生时的200～400 m;4-5月下午沙尘暴发生时最大混合层较深厚,在2 700 m左右。沙尘暴持续时间与最大混合层厚度成反比。（2）沙尘暴发生时扰动和锋面逆温频次多而强,扰动逆温明显较强,达2.5 ℃/100m,锋面逆温高度在700～1 000 m,扰动逆温高度在150～400 m之间;而大风发生时辐射和锋面辐射逆温频次多而强,强沙尘暴发生时锋面逆温明显较强,这说明沙尘暴多由风场的剧烈扰动和锋面过境引起。（3）白天800 hPa以上有干气层存在,夜间干暖和逆湿现象显著。近地层越干冷、西北风越强,强沙尘暴持续时间越长。     

宁夏盐池地区沙尘暴发生特征的统计分析

利用盐池气象站沙尘暴历史观测资料，从沙尘暴发生频次、灾害类型分型等几个方面进行了统计和研究。在对沙尘暴灾害强度聚类分析的基础上，对影响宁夏盐池地区的沙尘暴灾害进行了危害强度客观分类，并分析了该区沙尘暴历史变化和年、月、目的不同时间尺度变化。结果表明，宁夏沙尘暴年发生次数有减少的趋势，但发生1～2次特强沙尘暴的概率明显增多；沙尘暴强度与造成沙尘暴天气的天气系统、起沙源地和位置密切相关。沙尘暴分为西北气流型、锋线型、局地中小尺度大气型。特强沙尘暴的沙源地可能在腾格里沙漠、乌兰布和沙漠和巴丹吉林沙漠等更远的沙源地，强沙尘暴源于毛乌素沙地、乌兰布和沙漠、腾格里沙漠或巴丹吉林沙漠。弱至强沙尘暴可能与盐池南部荒漠化草场植被破坏和沙漠化有关、属就地起沙类型、不能造成特强沙尘暴灾害。

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.
