以ETM+数据为信息源,最大限度地提取了有关地层、构造、矿产等信息,利用目视综合解译法进行遥感线性地质构造信息的提取,解译了断裂具体位置和活动特征,有效地部署了野外构造地质调查工作,增强了构造地质现象的预见性,提高了地质矿产填图的速度、质量,深化了对区域构造地质的认识,按照解译性质实地进行了验证,证明了遥感线性构造解译在基础地质学应用研究方面的重大作用。  相似文献

利用TM影像及数据,对西藏盐湖做了全面的分析探讨,总结了盐湖的遥感影像特征,建立了遥感解译标志,并利用不同盐度水体的反射率和主成分分析对盐湖做了遥感信息的探索性研究。以此为依据,对西藏全区盐湖进行了判读,识别出大于1km2的盐湖区392个,为以后从事西藏盐湖研究奠定了良好的基础。  相似文献

The expansion of the Internet and e-mail access around the globe, especially into less-developed areas, raises the question of how geographers might use this technology for research purposes and the development of appropriate methodologies. This paper identifies three ways in which the use of e-mail surveys for geographic research differs from traditional mail surveys. First, there are substantial differences in selecting an appropriate sample population. Second, electronic medium considerations such as alphabet character translation, survey format, and receiving end conditions pose unique data collection challenges. Third, ascertaining that e-mail addresses to be included in a survey are operative is discussed as a useful means of maximizing the potential of an e-mail survey. 从互联网骨干网络拓扑结构入手,对中国互联网进行了初步的地理学分析,着重考察了基于这种新的信息基础设施架构之上的中国城市体系格局。结果表明:一个由信息网络城市组成的城市网络已在中国浮现,北京、上海和广州之间的互联网骨干连接构成了我国长距离电子通信的核心层次。互联网基础设施建设正在重构城市的竞争优势,而地理区位因素仍在其中起着重要的作用。  相似文献

Abstract

An increased use of artistic literature as a resource in both teaching and research is evident in geography. With the growing interest of some scholars in the behavioral aspects of geography, traditional resources are being supplemented with more humanistic, subjective information sources. In historical geography, for example, literature is a particularly suitable resource for studies of man's role in past geographies and of human perception of past environments.1 Specialists in regional geography and area studies also have shown a growing appreciation of such sources.2 A parallel and related development has occurred in geographic education. In many different courses, but particularly in those dealing with regions, literature has become a recommended resource. The purposes of this paper are (1) to review the relevance of the novel as a resource for geographers and (2) to suggest that a current novel, Centennial, by James A. Michener,3 particularly warrants consideration for use in courses on the historical geography of the United States.  相似文献

This study examines factors affecting the acceptance and utilization of the Internet as a teaching tool in college geography. Geography faculty members were surveyed with a questionnaire that measured their perceptions of Internet‐based teaching. An analysis of the survey data identified factors that influenced perceptions and adoption decisions among various groups of geographers. Overall, the results support hypothesized relationships between perceptions of innovations and rates of adoption and reveal intradisciplinary patterns of using the Internet for college geography instruction.  相似文献

The paper presents an analysis of the returns to a questionnaire survey on the state of department archives within UK departments of geography. The results of the survey are discussed in relation to recent work in geography which has examined the archive as a site for knowledge's making but seldom in its own terms as a resource for the history of geography, and studies within the archival sciences which have considered the archive as something more than a 'storehouse' for collective memory. The paper reveals that the archival record for the history of British geography is at best uneven, and in many departments non-existent, although information on departmental history is held, often as memory, by individual geographers. The paper considers the survey's implications for the future histories of British geography and addresses the nature of the UK geography department archive as resource and responsibility.  相似文献

梳理近年中国大陆文化地理学进展,需要说明近年代表性的研究课题或著述与文化地理学学科体系之间的关系。1990-2005年中国大陆文化地理学主要从五个文化地理学主题开展研究。然而这五个主题之间的逻辑关系不十分清晰,也没有说清主要概念和理论之间的关系。因此本文首先搭建文化地理学的“学科树”。地理学的主要研究对象是“地方和区域”,文化地理学的目标是从文化的角度分析“地方”的形成机制。本文将这个研究目标作为文化地理学“学科树”的主干,此外建立了“层间关系”和“尺度转换”两个分支,它们是探究地方性的两类方法。本文其次将文化地理学涉及的主要概念和理论分别挂在主干和两个分支上,并努力呈现出主要概念和理论出现的先后顺序,揭示文化地理学的发展进程。本文最后用“学科树”,分析了中国大陆主要文化地理学研究者自己提出的代表性著述。分析的结果是:第一,关于地方形成机制的案例类型多样,多是基于结构主义认识论的分析。第二,关于层间关系的研究已经突破了自然与文化两层关系的分析,延展到文化各层之间的关系。第三,在不同尺度文化区转换的领域研究较薄弱。  相似文献

This article describes various materials on the World Wide Web that can be effectively utilized in courses on natural hazards and physical geography. Specific Internet addresses are provided for teachers who wish to access various hazard warnings, satellite images, hazard vulnerability maps, reports, and other data concerning geophysical, hydrologic, and meteorological hazards. Suggested strategies for classroom use of this information are also provided. References are made to previous articles in the Journal of Geography that can provide guidance for teachers using the abundant hazards data accessible via the Internet.  相似文献
