The Kapuskasing Structural Zone (KSZ) reveals a section through the Archean lower crustal granoblastic gneisses. Our new paleomagnetic data largely agree with previous work but we show that interpretations vary according to the choices of statistical, demagnetization and field-correction techniques. First, where the orientation distribution of characteristic remanence directions on the sphere is not symmetrically circular, the commonly used statistical model is invalid [Fisher, R.A., Proc. R. Soc. A217 (1953) 295]. Any tendency to form an elliptical distribution indicates that the sample is drawn from a Bingham-type population [Bingham, C., 1964. Distributions on the sphere and on the projective plane. PhD thesis, Yale University]. Fisher and Bingham statistics produce different confidence estimates from the same data and the traditionally defined mean vector may differ from the maximum eigenvector of an orthorhombic Bingham distribution. It seems prudent to apply both models wherever a non-Fisher population is suspected and that may be appropriate in any tectonized rocks. Non-Fisher populations require larger sample sizes so that focussing on individual sites may not be the most effective policy in tectonized rocks. More dispersed sampling across tectonic structures may be more productive. Second, from the same specimens, mean vectors isolated by thermal and alternating field (AF) demagnetization differ. Which treatment gives more meaningful results is difficult to decipher, especially in metamorphic rocks where the history of the magnetic minerals is not easily related to the ages of tectonic and petrological events. In this study, thermal demagnetization gave lower inclinations for paleomagnetic vectors and thus more distant paleopoles. Third, of more parochial significance, tilt corrections may be unnecessary in the KSZ because magnetic fabrics and thrust ramp are constant in orientation to the depth at which they level off, at approximately 15-km depth. With Archean geothermal gradients, primary remanences were blocked after the foliation was tilted to rise on the thrust ramp. Therefore, the rocks were probably magnetized in their present orientation; tilting largely or entirely predates magnetization.  相似文献

加拿大岩石圈探测计划LITHOPROBE通过地质、地球物理、地球化学多种探测方法, 综合研究了加拿大地表至岩石圈地幔的地质结构和演化过程, 对北美最大太古代Superior Province克拉通的形成及增生研究堪称经典。2 720—2 680 Ma, Superior Province西部、中部和南部各原始地体及介于其间的晚太古代洋壳通过连续增生和碰撞拼贴为一体, 使得各地体原始排列方向及边界平移断层原始走向皆为近东西向。以3.0 Ga North Caribou地体为核心, 北侧Hudson Bay地体于2 720 Ma与其发生碰撞, 南部Winnipeg River地体于2 720—2 700 Ma与其碰撞并在English River盆地形成同造山期浊积岩; 往南, 相对年轻的Wabigoon 地体于2 710—2 700 Ma与Winnipeg River地体拼接, 更南侧的Wawa-Abitibi地体又拼贴于Wabigoon地体之上, 并在Quetico盆地形成同造山浊积岩和杂砂岩; 最南侧的Minnesota River Valley地体于2 680 Ma与其北侧地体拼接为一体, 先前洋壳俯冲于碰撞边界之下; 2 730—2 680 Ma, 在Superior Province东北部部发生了多期变形变质和增生活动, 形成该区北西走向造山带, 在Quebec中部地区形成巨大的马蹄形山系。Superior Province西部CWS和中部AG岩石圈地震剖面显示, 主要的地壳和地幔岩石圈俯冲带都向北缓倾; 以Timiskaming型砾岩沉积, 碱性岩浆岩发育, 壳源花岗岩侵位, 区域变质作用, 热液循环, 金矿脉定位以及造山后冷却诸多地质活动为特征, 2 680—2 600 Ma Superior Province发生克拉通化, 表明该时期Superior Province存在一个稳定的热扩散地幔隆起带。2 000 km规模原始地块和洋壳的增生及与之相伴的地块推覆和叠置, 揭示Superior Province各地体新太古代的拼合是一个似板块活动过程。  相似文献

The Devonian Winnepegosis and Duperow Formations were examined in well 4-27-11-22W1, located in at the eastern edge of the Williston Basin in Manitoba. The variation in characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) direction and magnetic mineral carrier is obvious: the older Winnepegosis Formation has a primary or early post-depositional magnetization held in magnetite or pyrrhotite (n = 15; D = 324.1°, I = − 27.3°, α95 = 10.4°, k = 15.7), whereas the younger Duperow Formation magnetizations are carried by hematite and could be as late as Early Jurassic. The variability may be attributable to the intervening Prairie Evaporite acting as an aquitard to fluid migration.  相似文献

The Miyazaki Plain, eastern part of Kyushu, Japan, is characterized by both significant negative gravity anomalies and aseismic crustal uplifting (1 mm/year) in the Late Pleistocene and Holocene. We examine the relationship between these two phenomena, which may provide important constraints on the interaction between the collision and/or subduction of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge and the forearc. We estimate the mass deficiency below 11-km depth by using the gravity anomalies and P-wave velocity structure of the upper crust. The onset of the load accumulation, 0.5–0.4 Ma, is inferred from the movement of the fluvial terraces considering the tephrochronology. The loading history is assumed to be a linear function of time. We evaluate the crustal rebound by assuming a viscoelastic plate deformation with an underplating load existing at 20- or 30-km depth. The predicted crustal movement for models with a lithospheric (crustal) viscosity of 1023–1024 Pa s can explain the observed altitudes of the shoreline of the marine terraces formed at the Last Interglacial of about 125 kyr BP and the middle Holocene of 5–6 kyr BP. Although we cannot restrict the origin of the buoyant body, the subduction of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge, remnant arc associated with back-arc opening of the Shikoku Basin, may be related to the buoyancy for the uplifting region examined here. On the other hand, the buoyant body off the Miyazaki Plain probably plays an important role in the interaction between the subducting oceanic slab and the overriding forearc crust. Thus, the observed lateral variation of the interplate coupling on the convergent boundary along the Nankai Trough may be attributed to the existence of the buoyant body.  相似文献

黔西北地区是上扬子西缘成矿带重要矿集区,区内分布许多大中型铅锌矿床,其构造复杂,找矿难度大。为实现黔西北地区铅锌找矿突破,系统收集该区及邻区勘查和研究资料,通过类比美国密西西比地区铅锌矿床和相邻云南矿山厂、麒麟厂、毛坪等铅锌矿床,结合在黔西北地区实施的调查和勘查项目,开展野外调查和取样测试等,解剖区内典型矿床;以地史时期构造演化为线索,探索黔西北地区地壳裂陷、地壳隆升、玄武岩浆喷发、地层褶皱倒转、逆冲推覆与铅锌成矿关系。研究表明,海西期裂陷作用产生裂陷槽,深部成矿流体沿裂陷槽边界断裂上升,Pb、Zn等组分在裂陷槽内与岩层同沉积,形成高含量背景层;裂陷槽两侧地壳隆升拉张变薄,玄武岩浆喷发,强大的岩浆热能驱动,岩层中Pb、Zn等组分与岩浆携带的含矿热液,运移至垭都-紫云等大断裂及次级断裂、断裂旁侧的有利岩层中聚集,形成铅锌矿体(矿化);印支早期构造运动,地层褶皱倒转、断裂、逆冲推覆,沿断裂上升的含矿热液,改造早期的铅锌矿体(矿化)。该区的铅锌矿床不属于MVT型,是叠加(复合/改造)型矿床。印支晚期、燕山期、喜山期的构造运动,没有明显铅锌成矿作用发生,破坏早期形成的矿床。  相似文献

The Archean Bird River greenstone belt (BRGB) is located on the southwestern edge of the Superior Province between the 3.2 Ga old Winnipeg River subprovince to the south and the metasedimentary belt of the English River subprovince (ERSP) to the north. This position between two major subprovinces makes the BRGB a primary target for investigating the geodynamic and kinematic evolution of a major structural boundary. New structural and geochronological data have allowed us to present an evolutionary framework for the southern boundary of the North Caribou superterrane. The BRGB underwent 3 main deformation phases. The D1 event took place ca. 2698 Ma and displays a north-side-up shearing. The D2 event, occurring at ca. 2684 Ma in a transpressive context, presents a complex structural pattern mixing vertical tectonics in the BRGB and strike-slip tectonics along the boundaries of the greenstone belt with other subprovinces. Between the BRGB and the ERSP, the 2832–2858 Ma old Maskwa batholith acted as a rigid passive block during the collision and marks the boundary between pure dextral strike-slip tectonics along his northern boundary with the ERSP and vertical south-side-up motion in the BRGB. The BRGB can be considered as a pop-up structure with anastomosed shear zones displaying different horizontal offset according to the orientation of the shear zones. The southern boundary with the Winnipeg River subprovince is represented by a sinistral south-side-up shear zone. The same pattern is found at the regional scale where major shear zones acted as a conjugate set in the horizontal plane. At ca. 2640 Ma, the D3 event occurred in a general dextral transpressive tectonic regime coeval with the emplacement of rare-elements pegmatitic plutons in a still hot (400–500 °C) country rock. The geodynamical and mechanical significance of the partitioning between pure strike-slip tectonics in the English River subprovince and vertical motion in the BRGB can be explained by the rheological behaviour of a hot and weak lithosphere undergoing transpressive strain. The structural framework of the BRGB is the result of strong interactions between hot and weak domains, coeval with widespread plutonism, and a rigid older domain (Maskwa batholith) during the D2 transpressive event.  相似文献

A combined Lu-Hf and U-Th-Pb isotopic study was made of 25 zircons and 2 whole rocks from the late Archean crust (2,888-2,668 Ma) in the southern Superior Province, Canada. The relative abundances of U, Th, Lu and Hf in zircons from the low grade Michipicoten and Gamitagama greenstone belts show variable patterns which in part reflect the bulk compositional differences of their parent rocks. Zircons from the high grade lower crustal regions adjacent to these belts (Kapuskasing Structural Zone) are distinguished from the low grade zircons by their strong depletions of Lu and Hf. The low Hf contents imply that the growth of metamorphic zircon involves a significant fractionation of the Zr/Hf ratio.Initial Hf isotope ratios for Hf in zircons from the low grade rocks are correlated with silica enrichment of their host rocks. e Hf varies from +9.2 to –1.3 and data from similar rock types exhibit correlations of e Hf with time. Whole rock basalt analyses yield e Hf values of +8.7 and +11.3 suggesting their derivation from a depleted mantle. The basalt data fall on an evolution trend which implies that differentiation from a chondritic mantle occurred at 3,100-2,900 Ma. Low e Hf values (–1.3 to +1.4) for rhyolites and granites are consistent with a derivation involving remelting of old crust similar to a 2,888 Ma granite with e HF of +0.5. Significantly higher values (+1.4 to +3.9) are found in zircons from 2,748-2,682 Ma dacites and tonalites suggesting that their parent rocks had higher Lu/Hf ratios. This may indicate that their parent rocks were mafic. However, there is some evidence that the possible lower crustal source reservoirs of these rocks may have undergone processes early in their histories which increased their Lu/ Hf ratios. This would give rise to the higher e Hf values observed in their derivatives.  相似文献

Volcanic suites from Wawa greenstone belts in the southern Superior Province comprise an association of typical late Archean arc volcanic rocks including adakites, magnesian andesites (MA), niobium-enriched basalts (NEB), and ‘normal’ tholeiitic to calc-alkaline basalts to rhyolites. The adakites represent melts from subducted oceanic crust and all other suites were derived from the mantle wedge above the subducting oceanic lithosphere. The magnesian andesites are interpreted to be the product of hybridization of adakite melts with arc mantle wedge peridotite. The initial ?Hf values of the ∼2.7 Ga Wawa adakites (+3.5 to +5.2), magnesian andesites (+2.6 to +5.1), niobium-enriched basalts (+4.4 to +6.6), and ‘normal’ tholeiitic to calc-alkaline arc basalts (+5.3 to +6.4) are consistent with long-term depleted mantle sources. The niobium-enriched basalts and ‘normal’ arc basalts have more depleted ?Hf values than the adakites and magnesian andesites. The initial ?Nd values in the magnesian andesites (+0.4 to +2.0), niobium-enriched basalts (+1.4 to +2.4), and ‘normal’ arc tholeiitic to calc-alkaline basalts (+1.6 to +2.9) overlap with, but extend to lower values than, the slab-derived adakites (+2.3 to +2.8). The lower initial ?Nd values in the mantle-wedge-derived suites, particularly in the magnesian andesites, are attributed to recycling of an Nd-enriched component with lower ?Nd to the mantle wedge. As a group, the slab-derived adakites plot closest to the 2.7 Ga depleted mantle value in ?Nd versus ?Hf space, additionally suggesting that the Nd-enriched component in the mantle wedge did not originate from the 2.7 Ga slab-derived melts. Accordingly, we suggest that the enriched component had been added to the mantle wedge at variable proportions by recycling of older continental material. This recycling process may have occurred as early as 50-70 Ma before the initiation of the 2.7 Ga subduction zone. The selective enrichment of Nd in the sources of the Superior Province magmas can be explained by experimental studies and geochemical observations in modern subduction systems, indicating that light rare earth elements (e.g., La, Ce, Sm, Nd) are more soluble than high field strength elements (e.g., Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta) in aqueous fluids that are derived from subducted slabs. As a corollary, we suggest that the recycled Nd-enriched component was added to the mantle source of the Wawa arc magmas by dehydration of subducted sediments.  相似文献

鲁中隆起区中北部地区矽卡岩型铁矿成矿地质条件优越,其含矿建造分布于济南、莱芜、淄博及其周邻地区。简要介绍了研究区的区域地质背景、地球物理特征;详细阐述了区内控矿地质条件,发现该区矽卡岩型铁矿具有地层、岩浆岩和构造联合控矿的特点,其中奥陶纪碳酸盐地层、燕山晚期中基性侵入岩体是区内主要控矿要素,在背斜的转折端和构造交汇处易于形成规模较大的矿体。区内铁矿的预测依据主要为地层、构造、岩浆岩、物探异常和代表性矿床。在此基础上,对该类型铁矿进行了成矿预测,共划分了济南、莱芜等5个成矿区,同时划分出除济南地区之外的9个铁矿找矿靶区,为研究区未来的铁矿勘查工作提供了依据。  相似文献

近年来, 注水诱发断层活化引发地震已成为深部地热资源安全开采面临的突出地质安全问题。河北高阳低凸起深部岩溶热储丰富, 区内分布多条隐伏断层, 研究旨在探明未来大规模开发高阳低凸起深部地热资源是否会诱发区内隐伏断层失稳破坏。研究基于华北地区综合地应力场, 利用莫尔-库伦准则计算热储区及邻区主要隐伏断层的初始稳定状态; 选用Hsieh and Bredehoeft水文模型计算代表性地热井回灌注水10~40年产生的超孔隙水压力值; 在初始稳定状态的基础上叠加该孔隙水压扰动, 采用断层滑动失稳概率评价方法, 分析长期回灌注水对断层稳定性的影响; 讨论断层走向与最大水平主应力夹角变化对断层滑动失稳风险的作用规律。结果表明: 高阳低凸起及邻区代表性地热井在170 m3/h注水速率条件下, 持续注水40年产生的超孔隙水压力值最大不超过11 MPa, 该扰动以注水井为中心向四周呈幂函数规律递减, 其影响范围不超过8 km; 持续回灌注水对高阳低凸起代表性地热井附近2 km范围内隐伏断层的稳定性影响显著, 部分断层滑动失稳概率超过85%, 具有极高的活化风险; 距离注水井2 km范围内不同走向的断层, 在单井回灌注水50年的作用下, 滑动失稳概率随断层走向与最大水平主应力夹角的减小而迅速增加。文章研究方法及相关成果可为国内外深部地热资源安全开发利用提供地质科学支撑。  相似文献

During 1998–1999, we installed a temporary broadband seismic network in the Changbaishan volcanic region, NE China. We estimated crustal structure using teleseismic seismograms collected at the network. We detected a near surface region of strong anisotropy directly under the main volcanic edifice of the volcanic area. We modeled 109 receiver functions from 19 broadband stations using three techniques. First we used a “slant-stacking” method to model the principal crustal P reverberation phases to estimate crustal thickness and the average crustal P to S speed ratio (vp/vs), assuming an average P-wave velocity in the crust. We then estimated crustal S-wave velocity (vs) and vp/vs profiles by modeling stacked receiver functions using a direct search. Finally, we inverted several receiver functions recorded at stations closest to the main volcanic edifice using least squares to estimate vs velocity profiles, assuming a vp/vs value. The results from the three estimation techniques were consistent, and generally we found that the receiver functions constrained estimates of changes in wave speeds better than absolute values. We resolved that the crust is 30–39 km thick under the volcanic region and 28–32 km thick away from the volcanic region, with a midcrust velocity transition at about 10–15 km depth. We estimated that the average crust P-wave velocity is about 6.0–6.2 km/s surrounding the main volcanic region, while it is slightly lower in the vicinity of the main volcanic edifice. The estimates of vp/vs were more ambiguous, but we inferred that the bulk crustal Poisson's ratio (which is related to vp/vs) ranges between 0.20 and 0.30, with a suggestion that the Poisson's ratio is lower under the central volcanic region compared to the surrounding areas. We resolved low S-wave velocities (down to about 3 km/s) in the middle crust in the region of the main volcanic edifice. The low velocity anomaly extends from about 5–10 to 15–25 km below the surface, probably indicating a region of elevated temperatures. We were unable to determine if partial melt is present with the data we considered in this paper.  相似文献

Records of lithospheric extension and mountain-range uplift are most continuously contained within syntectonic sedimentary rocks in basins adjacent to large structural culminations. In southeastern Arizona, metamorphic core complexes form mountain ranges with the highest elevations in the region, and supposedly much less extended terranes lie at lower elevations. Adjacent to the Santa Catalina-Rincon metamorphic core complex, within the Tucson Basin, stratigraphic-sequence geometries evident in a large suite of 2-D seismic reflection data suggest a two-phase basin-evolution model controlled by the emplacement and subsequent uplift of the core complex. In its earliest stage, Phase I of basin formation was characterized by extensive faults forming relatively small-scale proto-basins, which coalesced with the larger basin-bounding detachment fault system. Synextensional sedimentation within the enlarging basin is evidenced by sediment-growth packages, derived from adjacent footwall material, fanning into brittle hanging-wall faults. During this phase, volcanism was widespread, and growth packages contain interbedded sediments and volcanic products but, paradoxically, no mylonitic clasts from the adjacent metamorphic core complex. Phase II of basin evolution begins after a significant tectonic hiatus and consists of a symmetric deepening of the central basin with the introduction of mylonitic clasts in the basin fill. This is coupled with the activation of a series of high-angle normal faults ringing the core complex. These observations suggest a two-phase model for metamorphic core complex evolution, with an initial stage of isostatic core complex emplacement during detachment faulting that resulted in little topographic expression. This was followed, after a significant tectonic hiatus, by late-stage exhumation and flexural uplift of the Santa Catalina-Rincon metamorphic core complex through younger high-angle faulting. Moreover, the geometry of upper basin fill units suggests an extremely low effective elastic thickness in the region and that flexural uplift of the core complex induced asymmetric transfer of ductile mid-crustal rocks from beneath the subsiding Tucson Basin to the uplifting mountain range.  相似文献

吉南地区太古宙基底中发育大量早前寒武纪基性岩墙群,是陆壳伸展的直接证据。对白山市东部天桥太古宙基底出露区内基性岩墙及其围岩进行了锆石U-Pb定年和地球化学分析,以确定该期伸展事件的形成机制及地质意义。天桥地区基性岩墙岩性为斜长角闪岩,侵位于TTG片麻岩中。英云闪长质片麻岩(TN1)中锆石具核-边结构,岩浆核的LA-ICP-MS测年结果为2500±6Ma,指示其形成于新太古代末期。天桥岩墙(TN3)中的锆石内部结构与TN1相同,酸性岩浆核的SHRIMP测年结果为2490±17Ma,与TN1在误差范围内一致,表明这些锆石不是基性岩墙原生锆石,而是岩墙侵位过程中在围岩中捕获的锆石,但根据岩墙仅侵位在太古宙基底中且变质程度高于周围古元古界老岭群,将其侵位年龄大致限制在新太古代末期-古元古代早期。地球化学特征显示,基性岩墙具有低SiO_2、Na_2O、K_2O含量,高CaO、MgO含量,A/CNK=0.56~0.59,属于准铝质的拉斑玄武岩系列岩石,∑REE低、配分曲线平坦,富集LILE(Rb、Ba和K),亏损HFSE(Th、U、Nb和Ta),具有与原始地幔相同的Nb/Ta、Zr/Hf比值及接近地壳的Nb/U、Ta/U比值,指示其岩浆可能来源于地幔且在上升过程中受到地壳混染,形成于板内伸展环境。TTG片麻岩具有中等的SiO_2和MgO含量,高Al_2O_3和Na_2O含量以及低CaO含量,A/CNK=1.00~1.14,属弱过铝质的钙碱性系列岩石,∑REE低、具有右倾的REE配分曲线,轻稀土富集、重稀土亏损,富集LILE(Rb、Ba、K和Sr),强烈亏损HFSE(U、Nb、Ta、Sm和Ti),其岩浆可能来源于变质玄武质岩石和极少量沉积岩的部分熔融,结合邻区TTG的研究成果,认为其形成于与俯冲相关的活动大陆边缘环境。前人研究表明,新太古代晚期板块构造体制可能已经启动,结合我们以往研究,认为新太古代晚期华北克拉通东北部可能发生了弧陆碰撞造山运动,天桥岩墙的侵位标志着新太古代末期至古元古代早期之间华北克拉通东北部进入造山后伸展环境,可能是对新太古代造山运动结束的响应。  相似文献

The spinel peridotite xenoliths of Group I in Quaternary basanites from Nushan,Anhui province,can be classified as two suites:a hydrous suite characterized by the ubiquitous occurrence of (Ti-) pargasite and an anhydrous suite.The nineral chemistry reveals that the anhydrous suite and one associated phlogopite-bearing lherzolite are equilibrated under temperature conditions of 1000-1100℃,whereas amplhibole-bearing peridotites display distinct disequilibrum features,indicating partial reequilibration from 1050 to 850℃ and locally down to 750℃. The amplhbole-bearing peridotites were probably the uppermost part of the high temperature anhydrous suite which was modally modifed by fractionating H2O-rich metasomatic agent during regional upwelling.This relatively recent lithospheric uplift event followed an older uplift event recognized from pyroxene unmixing of domains in local equilibrium,as well as the dominant deformation texture in the anhydrous suite.The first thermal disturbance can be linked with the regional extension and widespread basaltic volcanism in Jiangsu-Anhui provinces since Early Tertiary and the formation of the nearby Subei(North Jiangsu) fault-depression basin during the Eocene,while the second event in association with the formation of amphiboles probably indicates the continuation but diminution of upwared mantle flux since Neogene in response to the change in tectonic regime for eastern china.  相似文献

This study is the first integrated geological and geophysical investigation of the Hidaka Collision Zone in southern Central Hokkaido, Japan, which shows complex collision tectonics with a westward vergence. The Hidaka Collision Zone consists of the Idon'nappu Belt (IB), the Poroshiri Ophiolite Belt (POB) and the Hidaka Metamorphic Belt (HMB) with the Hidaka Belt from west to east. The POB (metamorphosed ophiolites) is overthrust by the HMB (steeply eastward-dipping palaeo-arc crust) along the Hidaka Main Thrust (HMT), and in turn, thrusts over the Idon'nappu Belt (melanges) along the Hidaka Western Thrust (HWT). Seismic reflection and gravity surveys along a 20-km-long traverse across the southern Hidaka Mountains revealed hitherto unknown crustal structures of the collision zone such as listric thrusts, back thrusts, frontal thrust-and-fold structures, and duplex structures. The main findings are as follows. (1) The HMT, which dips steeply at the surface, is a listric fault dipping gently at a depth of 7 km beneath the eastern end of the HMB, and cutting across the lithological boundaries and schistosity of the Hidaka metamorphic rocks. (2) A second reflector is detected 1 km below the HMT reflector. The intervening part between these two reflectors is inferred to be the POB, which is only little exposed at the surface. This inference is supported by the high positive Bouguer anomalies along the Hidaka Mountains. (3) The shallow portion of the IB at the front of the collision zone has a number of NNE-dipping reflectors, indicative of imbricated fold-and-thrust structures. (4) Subhorizontal reflectors at a depth of 14 km are recognized intermittently at both sides of the seismic profile. These reflectors may correspond to the velocity boundary (5.9–6.6 km/s) previously obtained from seismic refraction profiling in the northern Hidaka Mountains. (5) These crustal structures as well as the back thrust found in the eastern end of the traverse represent characteristics of collisional tectonics resulting from the two collisional events since the Early Tertiary.  相似文献

Magnetic fabric and rock magnetism studies were performed on three mafic dike swarms (total of 38 dikes) from the southernmost part of the São Francisco Craton (SFC) (Minas Gerais State, SE Brazil). They cut Archaean granite–gneiss–migmatite and paleoprototerozoic terranes. These swarms are classified as basic–noritic (Sm–Nd age  2.65 Ga), basic (Rb–Sr age  1.87 Ga) and metamorphic (Rb–Sr age  1.87 Ga) suites, in which the second is the most important. Magnetic fabrics were determined by applying both anisotropy of low-field magnetic susceptibility (AMS) and anisotropy of anhysteretic remanent magnetization (AARM). In most sites magnetic susceptibility is dominantly carried by ferromagnetic minerals, however, in some sites the paramagnetic contribution exceeds 70% of bulk susceptibility. Mainly coarse to fine-grained Ti-poor titanomagnetite up to pure magnetite carry the magnetic fabrics.Three primary AMS fabrics are recognized which are all coaxial with the AARM fabric. Normal AMS fabric is dominant in the basic suite (16 of 20 analyzed dikes) and occurs in 4 and 3 dikes from the basic–noritic and metamorphic suites, respectively. This fabric is interpreted as a result of magma flow in which the analysis of Kmax inclination permitted to infer that the majority of dikes were fed by inclined flows (30° < Kmax < 60°), although 44% of dikes from the basic suite were fed by horizontal or sub-horizontal flows (Kmax < 30°). Intermediate AMS fabric was found in 50% of dikes from the basic–noritic and metamorphic suites, but in only 2 dikes from the basic suite. It is interpreted as due to vertical compaction of a static magma column with the minimum stress along the dike strike. Inverse AMS fabric is a minority (2 dikes from each suite). The parallelism between AMS and AARM tensors for dikes with abnormal fabrics suggests a primary origin for them. Gyroremanent magnetization (GRM) effect was negligible for the majority of dikes, but it was found in two dikes from the basic suite with normal AMS fabric.Magnetic fabrics recognized for the three studied swarms do not depend on magnetic mineralogy, geochemical composition, dike strikes, nor the age of the swarms since the same magnetic minerals and magnetic fabric types are found in dikes from all suites. Inclined and horizontal flows allow us to infer the relative position of at least three magma sources (or magma chambers) from which the dikes were fed.  相似文献

通过对准噶尔盆地南缘有精确古地磁年代控制的金沟河剖面新生代沉积物中7个砂岩样品碎屑锆石的U Pb LA ICP MS测年分析,确定安集海河组(28~23.3 Ma)和沙湾组(23.3~17.5 Ma)的砂岩样品碎屑锆石年龄主要集中在261~328 Ma(P-C),塔西河组(17.5~13.2 Ma)样品的年龄主要集中在234~311 Ma(T-C)和369~403 Ma(D-S),独山子组(13.2~6.0 Ma)和西域组(6.0~1 Ma)样品的年龄主要集中在264~333 Ma。经与流域内岩石地层的分布相对比,揭示至少在晚渐新世开始中天山已经隆升并剥蚀为盆地提供物源,从约中新世早期开始北天山的南缘开始隆升,加入物源供给区,从约中新世中晚期开始北天山开始明显隆升,并逐步阻碍了中天山的物源供给,成为物源的主要供给区。天山的这种逐步向北的隆升剥蚀过程,反映了印度欧亚板块碰撞的远程效应。  相似文献

华北陆块是世界上最古老、最大的克拉通地块之一。蚌埠隆起作为华北陆块的组成部分,其初始陆壳的形成时限为中太古代晚期,随着扬子陆块与华北陆块碰撞、拼接,经历了较为复杂的演化过程。为了深入探讨蚌埠隆起带古元古代岩浆活动,更新补充年代学及岩石地球化学分析数据,本次通过对区内古元古代侵入体的野外观察、年代学和岩石地球化学研究,在庄子里岩体和磨盘山岩体中分别获得锆石U-Pb年龄为(2089±44)Ma、(2133±27)Ma。地球化学研究显示两岩体明显富钠贫钾,总体铝碱比偏高,钙碱比偏低,属准铝—铝过饱和类型;轻稀土相对富集,具明显的铕负异常,铈异常不明显或无异常;K、Nb、Sr、P和Ti有较明显的亏损,Rb、Th、U、Nd、Zr和Sm相对富集,成因类型具备造山后A型花岗岩特征。ε_(Nd)(t)值介于-3.87~+3.20,暗示侵入体可能来源于同一源区,Nd两阶段模式年龄(2.37~2.84 Ga)与华北克拉通主体形成于太古宙,并以2.40~2.50 Ga为主体相一致。ε_(Hf)(t)值介于-9.77~+9.59,且差别较大,说明其具物质起源的复杂性,古老的两阶段Hf模式年龄(2.27~2.96 Ga)说明其物质起源主要为新太古宙,与蚌埠隆起拉张背景时间上具有一致性。构造环境判别属板内花岗岩范畴,表现为非造山构造环境,暗示其伸展构造背景。  相似文献

西坞口矿床是江南隆起带安徽宁国市近年来发现的首个关键金属铷(Rb)矿床,与成矿有关的岩浆岩为花岗斑岩。矿床中发育两类铷矿体:矿体I赋存于花岗斑岩体内,矿体II产于花岗斑岩体顶部。两类矿体的矿物组合均为多硅白云母+石英。矿体I呈透镜体状产于花岗斑岩体顶部,多硅白云母含量可达70%,品位为0.25%;矿体II产于花岗斑岩体和地层接触带,品位为0.21%。前人对西坞口矿床的矿化特征、岩浆岩年代学、岩浆岩成因开展了研究,但关于铷的赋存状态及成矿机制尚不明确。本次工作分别对成矿岩体和两类矿体中的主要矿物开展了电子探针(EPMA)和激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子体质谱仪(LA-ICP-MS)研究,分析结果显示花岗斑岩中斜长石、钾长石和黑云母中Rb的平均含量分别为3.10×10-6、872×10-6和1 328×10-6,矿体I和II中多硅白云母的Rb平均含量分别为2 544×10-6和2 686×10-6。多硅白云母晶体化学计算表明,铷以Rb+→K+/Na+置换的方式进入多硅白云母晶格,在多硅白云母中以类质同象的形式赋存。结合矿床地质特征和区域岩浆岩对比分析,本文提出西坞口矿床成矿岩浆具有较高的Rb背景值以及氟(F)含量,矿物结晶作用使得Rb在残余岩浆含量升高,岩浆向热液过渡阶段的富F特征导致原先岩浆体系的架状硅酸盐结构变成层状,进而有利于结晶出大量富Rb的多硅白云母,并富集形成铷矿体。  相似文献
