大别山榴辉岩带片麻岩的锆石拉曼光谱研究   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4

我们对来自大别山榴辉岩带11个片麻岩样品的锆石进行了拉曼光谱研究,这些研究集中在1008和356cm~(-1)峰和它们的半高宽上。依据阴极发光(CL)图像特征,锆石可分为三种结构类型:(1)核边结构,由一个老的岩浆锆石核和一个变质边构成,也可由两期变质锆石构成;(2)CL 不均匀强反差发光的锆石,这些锆石的一些部位明显发亮,这些发亮的部分是在早期岩浆锆石发育而来的;(3)CL 总体是均匀的或弱反差发光锆石。在 CL 图像的基础上,我们用拉曼扫描的方法分析了这3类不同结构的锆石。1008和356cm~(-1)峰显示了相同或相似的图像特征,而它们的半高宽图像有相同或相似的图像特征。峰和半高宽图像可以有一定差异。核边结构的和 CL 不均匀强反差发光的锆石的 CL 结构也反映在拉曼光谱的图像上,半高宽的图像更相似于锆石的 CL 图像。CL 总体是均匀的或弱反差发光锆石的拉曼光谱图像通常也是相对均匀的。11个样品锆石的1008cm~(-1)峰位值和它的半高宽落在放射破坏趋势上,我们认为早期继承的锆石在超高压变质过程中发生了完全退火和重结晶。一粒锆石拉曼光谱图像的结构反映的是不同的部分蜕晶化程度的差异,由于有相同的蜕晶化历史,这些部分的蜕晶化程度与这些部分的 U 和 Th 含量应该是正相关的。  相似文献

Secondary textures formed in natural zircon crystals under the influence of hydrothermal solutions are interpreted as products of metasomatic substitution. Such textures are clearly seen in metamict zircons and zircons enriched in radioactive elements, which are often found in potassic granites, pegmatites, and other rocks with high U and Th contents. Specific secondary textures in zircons contained in microcline granites, metasedimentary and eclogite-like rocks of the Kola Peninsula are reviewed. Detailed mineralogical and geochemical studies of zircons (CL, BSE, microprobe analysis of incompatible elements) have been carried out with the subsequent U-Pb dating of different zircon zones. The mechanism of secondary texture formation is considered in terms of metasomatic isomorphic substitution. Analogy between natural structure of zircon and products of experimental isomorphic substitution makes it possible to obtain additional information on conditions of the natural zircon growth important for interpreting geochronological data. When metamict zircons are substituted without gaining new material and with a decrease in volume, the U-Pb age of initial zircon remains unchanged and the lower intercept of discordia and concordia corresponds to the time of fluid impact. Substitution with a gain in matter is accompanied by excess volume. In this case, the timing of zones of transitional composition is devoid of geological sense.  相似文献

对进行过微区U-Pb定年和阴极发光成像研究的大别山辛店榴辉岩、双河榴辉岩、黄镇榴辉岩和双河硬玉石英岩中锆石,进行了微区核部与边部稀土元素测定.结合U-Pb年龄和CL图象,探讨了超高压变质过程中稀土元素从原岩锆石到变质锆石的变化.结果表明,原岩锆石和变质锆石有很不相同的稀土元素含量,它取决于变质锆石是由变质重结晶还是变质增生作用形成及形成时间.一般说来,边部变质锆石比原岩锆石亏损稀土元素,特别是重稀土,并且有更低的Th/U比.变质锆石的稀土元素和Th/U比可以为变质锆石形成时的物理化学环境和变质锆石成因提供重要信息.  相似文献

南岭地区油山岩体和坪田岩体形成年龄及其地质意义   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
南岭地区的油山岩体和坪田岩体位于诸广山复式岩体东侧,以前的研究认为它们都属于燕山期花岗岩。对油山岩体和坪田岩体进行的LA-ICP-MS 锆石U-Pb 年代学研究结果表明,油山岩体的成岩年龄为(213.4±3.0) Ma,坪田岩体(西北部)的成岩年龄为(238.8±2.2) Ma,因此油山岩体应属于印支期岩体,而坪田岩体可能是一个印支-燕山早期复式岩体,而非前人所划定的燕山期岩体。此外,两个岩体内含有太古代和541 Ma~1 642 Ma 的继承锆石,暗示物源区曾存在太古代和元古代地壳,经历过多期次的岩浆作用。部分油山岩体锆石在CL图像上表现出具有暗色边部的特征,这些暗色边可能与后期热液作用影响有关,其时代为燕山期,表明油山岩体在燕山期受到了流体作用的影响,坪田岩体锆石也存在较窄的暗色边,也是受后期热液作用影响所造成。  相似文献

Interpretation of discordant U-Pb zircon ages: An evaluation   总被引:36,自引:0,他引:36  
The most widely used technique for the determination of high precision mineral growth ages in igneous and metamorphic rocks is dating of zircons with the U-Pb method. The interpretation of these ages, particularly in metamorphic settings, is hampered by an incomplete understanding of the common phenomenon of partial Pb-loss in zircon. In principle, this Pb-loss may occur in four very different ways: diffusion in metamict zircon, diffusion in pristine zircon, leaching from metamict zircon and recrystallization of metamict zircon. Here it is argued that, under conditions common in the continental crust, Pb-loss is only possible in partially to strongly metamict zircons. Pb-diffusion in the pristine zircon lattice is insignificant up to temperatures of at least 1000 °C. Pb-loss is only possible if the zircons experienced a time interval below their annealing temperature of about 600–650 °C, because only below this temperature can the lattice damage through α-decay and spontaneous fission accumulate. Zircons that remain above this temperature do not lose Pb by diffusion and will stay closed systems. Complete resetting of the U-Pb system in zircon under crustal conditions is only possible through dissolution and reprecipitation of zircon. Partial resetting results from recrystallization, leaching or diffusion in metamict zircon. As a consequence, special care has to be taken to interpret lower intercepts on concordia diagrams defined by discordant U-Pb data. Lower intercept ages may be significant only if they are defined by zircons with low U-content (<100 p.p.m.) or if confirmed by other geochronological methods. In addition, the accuracy of the lower intercept should be confirmed by abrading the zircon fractions that define the discordia.  相似文献

Recrystallization of zircons under the influence of fluids was studied using examples from Precambrian rocks (microcline granites, metasedimentary, and mafic rocks) of the Kola Peninsula. All zircon crystals showed complex internal textures visible by cathodoluminescence and backscattered electron (BSE) imaging. Detailed mineralogical and geochemical studies with subsequent secondary ion mass spectrometer U–Pb dating of different zircon domains show that secondary texture formation can be interpreted in terms of metasomatic replacement of zircon crystals on the base of crystallogenetic experimental models. Mechanisms of zircon replacement and interpretation of U–Pb ages for secondary zircon domains are dependent on the degree of damage of the zircon structure and the fluid composition. The recrystallization of metamict zircon without additional supply of new zircon substance (Zr, SiO2) goes with the dissolution of amorphous domains and precipitation of new polycrystalline zircon, which preserves the U–Pb initial age, but loses radiogenic lead, and the lower intercept of Discordia lines with the Concordia curve determines the time of fluid influence. The recrystallization of metamict zircon or crystalline zircon with high contents of impurities with additional supply of Si and Zr forms monocrystalline replacements. Dissolution of primary zircon is accompanied by growth of new zircon domains differing in the composition of isomorphic impurities and zones of transitional composition, whose ages have no geological sense. The study is of particular importance for zircons from Precambrian rocks with long and complex histories.  相似文献

The paper reports the results of mineralogical, geochemical, and geochronological (TIMS and SHRIMP) study of heterogeneous zircons from granites of the Mazara Massif, South Urals. Obtained data revealed the Mesoproterozoic age (1550–1390 Ma) of a granite protolith and the Neoproterozoic age of their formation (745–710 Ma). In the La–Sm/La diagram, the zircons of the massif occupy an intermediate position between the fields of magmatic and metasomatic (hydrothermal) zircons. This “intermediate” field is proposed to ascribe to the late magmatic zircons, which provides more reliable characterization of zircon formation throughout the entire crystallization history of a granite melt, up to the appearance of genetically metamict metasomatic hydrozircons.  相似文献

Protolith zircon in high‐grade metagranitoids from Queensland, Australia, partially recrystallized during granulite‐grade metamorphism. We describe the zircon in detail using integrated cathodoluminescence, U–Pb isotope, trace element and electron backscatter diffraction pattern (EBSP) analyses. Primary igneous oscillatory zoning is partially modified or obliterated in areas within single crystals, but is well preserved in other areas. A variety of secondary internal structures are observed, with large areas of transgressive recrystallized zircon usually dominant. Associated with these areas are recrystallization margins, interpreted to be recrystallization fronts, that have conformable boundaries with transgressive recrystallized areas, but contrasting cathodoluminescence and trace element chemistry. Trace element analyses of primary and secondary structures provide compelling evidence for closed‐system solid‐state recrystallization. By this process, trace elements in the protolith zircon are purged during recrystallization and partitioned between the enriched recrystallization front and depleted recrystallized areas. However, recrystallization is not always efficient, often leaving a ‘memory’ of the protolith trace element and isotopic composition. This results in the measurement of ‘mixed’ U–Pb isotope ages. Nonetheless, the age of metamorphism has been determined. A correlation between apparent age and Th/U ratio is indicative of incomplete re‐setting by partial recrystallization. Recrystallization is shown to probably not significantly affect Lu–Hf ages. Recrystallization has been determined by textural and trace element analysis and EBSP data not to have proceeded by sub‐grain rotation or local dissolution/re‐precipitation, but probably by grain‐boundary migration and defect diffusion. The formation of metamorphic zircon by solid‐state recrystallization is probably common to high‐grade terranes worldwide. The recognition of this process of formation is essential for correct interpretation of zircon‐derived U–Pb ages and subsequent tectonic models.  相似文献

新疆阿勒泰可可托海地区出露大量花岗岩和伟晶岩脉,利用阴极发光显微照相(CL)、电子探针背散射(BSE)和激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子质谱技术(LA-ICP-MS),观察和分析岩石中锆石的内部结构、稀土元素及Th,U含量后结果表明:该区花岗岩锆石具振荡环带和强烈的阴极发光特征,Th/U比值较高(Th/U=0.16~0.99),轻稀土亏损、重稀土富集,具较大的Ce正异常,为典型岩浆成因锆石。伟晶岩(KP-08-11)锆石为热液锆石,不具振荡环带和阴极发光,具低的Th/U比值(0.01~0.13),强烈富集稀土元素,尤其是轻稀土元素较花岗岩锆石高一个数量级,Ce的正异常相对较低。伟晶岩(KP3-08-1)锆石为变质重结晶锆石,Th/U比值分布范围较广(0.01~0.78),强烈亏损稀土元素,稀土元素配分模式存在显著的"REE四分组效应"。微量元素特征表明,伟晶岩(KP-08-11)锆石可能结晶自富U贫Th的残余岩浆流体,而伟晶岩(KP3-08-1)的锆石经历了蜕晶质化和变质重结晶作用,但依然保持了共存伟晶岩熔体的微量元素特征。  相似文献

河台金矿区位于广东省高要市境内,普遍认为其是典型的韧性剪切带型金矿。本次对采自韧性剪切带中的糜棱岩和初糜棱岩样品进行了LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年,以约束剪切带的活动时代,并为金矿化事件提供依据。利用糜棱岩中的热液锆石约束韧性剪切带的变质变形时间,获得两组年龄:糜棱岩中热液锆石增生边加权平均年龄约为240Ma,代表左旋运动的年龄;初糜棱岩中热液锆石加权平均年龄约为204Ma,代表右旋运动的年龄。因此,矿区在印支期可能经历过两期剪切变形,并且这两期变形事件在整个华南都是普遍存在的。结合前人对矿化时间的研究,河台金矿的成矿时间(燕山期)要晚于韧性剪切带的形成时间(印支期)。样品中继承性锆石(糜棱岩中核部锆石)年龄显示云开群最晚沉积时间为早古生代早期,而并非前寒武地层。另外,本次研究还测试了锆石的Lu-Hf同位素,实验表明,可以根据热液锆石与继承性锆石的Lu-Hf同位素关系,判定热液锆石的形成条件。云开群的成岩物质主要来自1.8Ga地壳增生事件所形成的地壳物质发生重熔而产生的岩浆岩。  相似文献

The Baerzhe alkaline granite pluton hosts one of the largest rare metal (Zr, rare earth elements, and Nb) deposits in Asia. It contains a geological resource of about 100 Mt at 1.84 % ZrO2, 0.30 % Ce2O3, and 0.26 % Nb2O5. Zirconium, rare earth elements (REE), and Nb are primarily hosted by zircon, yttroceberysite, fergusonite, ferrocolumbite, and pyrochlore. Three types of zircon can be identified in the deposit: magmatic, metamict, and hydrothermal. Primary magmatic zircon grains occur in the barren hypersolvus granite and are commonly prismatic, with oscillatory zones and abundant melt and mineral inclusions. The occurrence of aegirine and fluorite in the recrystallized melt inclusions hosted in the magmatic zircon indicates that the parental magma of the Baerzhe pluton is alkali- and F-rich. Metamict zircon grains occur in the mineralized subsolvus granite and are commonly prismatic and murky with cracks, pores, and mineral inclusions. They commonly show dissolution textures, indicating a magmatic origin with later metamictization due to deuteric hydrothermal alteration. Hydrothermal zircon grains occur in mineralized subsolvus granite and are dipyramidal with quartz inclusions, with murky CL images. They have 608 to 2,502 ppm light REE and 787 to 2,521 ppm Nb, much higher than magmatic zircon. The texture and composition of the three types of zircon indicate that they experienced remobilization and recrystallization during the transition from a magmatic to a hydrothermal system. Large amounts of Zr, REE, and Nb were enriched and precipitated during the transitional period to form the giant low-grade Baerzhe Zr–REE–Nb deposit.  相似文献

In an attempt to find the premetamorphic discordance pattern of detrital zircons extracted from Central European metasediments, unmetamorphosed or only slightly metamorphosed sediments were collected from two areas: (1) from the Montagne Noire, the southernmost part of the French Central Massif and (2) from the innerbohemian Algonkian (= Proterozoic) in the CSSR.The generally accepted hypothesis that zircons from Central European metasediments must have plotted close to or at the corresponding upper intercept between discordia trajectory and concordia curve prior to the metamorphism of the host rocks could not be supported. The zircon populations from sediments of both areas are similar in discordance to those of the numerous populations extracted from metasediments of the Central European basement complexes. However, in contrast to the latter, the data points of size fractions scatter considerably and reliable intercept ages cannot be calculated.In the case of the Cambro-Ordovician sand- and siltstones of the Montagne Noire, the ages of detrital muscovites strongly argue for a Cadomian (550–700 m.y.) provenance of the detritus. Thus, the strong discordance of the analyzed fractions most probably is caused by zircons newly formed and/or partly or completely reset during a Cadomian event in the provenance of the detritus. In addition, lattice unit parameters indicate that the detrital zircons must have been recrystallized after their primary formation more than 1.7 b.y. ago.The Algonkian sediments of Bohemia (CSSR) can be taken as the very low-grade metamorphic equivalents of the Moldanubian paragneisses from which discordia trajectories between about 2 b.y. and 460–320 m.y. are known (Gebauer and Grünenfelder, 1974; Grauert et al., 1974). Nevertheless, all analyzed zircon fractions are strongly discordant indicating that they probably recrystallized during the Assyntian (=Cadomian) very low-grade metamorphism of the host rock loosing most of their accumulated radiogenic lead. If such an interpretation is correct, the low-temperature recrystallization model of Gebauer and Grünenfelder (1976) can be applied to metamict zircons in host rocks formed at temperatures as low as 300 ° C. In our 1976-paper we gave temperatures of 350–400 ° C for the maximum temperature necessary to recrystallize metamict zircons in chlorite-grade quartzphyllites in agreement with the experimental results of Pidgeon et al. (1973).In contrast to the zircons of the Montagne Noire it can be shown that the U-Pb systems of the Algonkian zircons must have been re-opened in post-Assyntian time, probably recently or in the Tertiary. 在新疆西南天山科桑溶洞地区,新厘定出一套斜长角闪岩-花岗岩地质单元:侵入斜长角闪岩中的新元古代白云母花岗岩(片麻状构造)、以及侵入上述古老岩石单元的早奥陶世花岗岩(块状构造)。片麻状白云母花岗岩中锆石具有热液锆石边、岩浆锆石幔和碎屑锆石核(边-幔-核结构),剔除被热液锆石和碎屑锆石混染的SHRIMP测点,获得岩浆锆石幔的加权平均年龄752.3±5.1Ma(MSWD=0.95),代表岩浆的结晶年龄。块状花岗岩的锆石具有边-核结构,热液锆石边的U-Pb年龄(419.5±5.7Ma)明显偏低。剔除热液锆石和碎屑锆石,获得岩浆锆石的平均U-Pb年龄481.1±4.4Ma(MSWD=0.88),代表花岗岩的结晶年龄。早奥陶世早期,岩浆侵入新元古代片麻状白云母花岗岩中。在晚志留世或者更晚时期,两类花岗岩共同经受了变质热液改造,变质流体交代岩浆锆石,导致锆石溶蚀再生长。  相似文献

Zircon is a widely-used heavy mineral in geochronological and geochemical research because it can extract important information to understand the history and genesis of rocks. Zircon has various types, and an accurate examination of zircon type is a prerequisite procedure before further analysis. Cathodoluminescence (CL) imaging is one of the most reliable ways to classify zircons. However, current CL image examination is conducted by manual work, which is time-consuming, bias-prone, and requires expertise. An automated and bias-free method for zircon classification is absent but necessary. To this end, deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) and transfer learning are applied in this study to classify the common types of zircons, i.e., igneous, metamorphic, and hydrothermal zircons. An atlas with over 4000 CL images of these three types of zircons is created, and three DCNNs are trained using these images. The results of this study indicate that the DCNNs can distinguish hydrothermal zircons from other zircons, as indicated by the highest accuracy of 100%. Although similar textures in igneous and metamorphic zircons pose great challenges for zircon classification, the DCNNs successfully classify 95% igneous and 92% metamorphic zircons. This study demonstrates the high accuracy of DCNNs in zircon classification and presents the great potentiality of deep learning techniques in numerous geoscientific disciplines.  相似文献

应用矿物红外光谱学的方法系统研究了白银厂地区7件锆石同位素年龄样品的红外光谱。测定结果表明,3件样品的吸收峰强而窄,整体线形与标准的晶质锆石谱线相符合;其余4件样品的吸收相对较弱,峰形圆钝;谱线均有不同程度向变生锆石特征谱线的演化,以变生程度最高的LGG-6为尤。根据615cm^-1吸收峰的H/M值可将所研究样品分为晶质锆石、半变生锆石和变生锆石三类,并利用锆石红外光谱特征估测了铀钍含量和地质年龄。同时还评估了相应样品的U-Pb同位素年龄的可靠性。  相似文献

Zircon crystals change their physical properties significantly over time in response to the radiation damage (metamictization) induced in the lattice by the presence of radionuclides U and Th. Crystalline zircon has extremely low diffusion rates of the radiogenic daughter product, Pb. Lead diffusion is enhanced in metamict volumes, but the observed lack of correlation between Pb loss and metamictization in natural zircons requires that other mechanisms control the incidence of Pb migration. The proposition that self-induced stress and elasticity contrasts in zoned natural crystals create fast-track Pb migration pathways, in response to time-integrated radiation damage, requires a means of detecting the microstructures within zircons at the interatomic scale at which Pb migration takes place. Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is introduced as a means of detecting candidate microstructures including subgrain boundaries, defect networks and microfractures produced by differential metamictization. It is shown that a classical X-ray source yields measurable SAXS response from contrasting metamict and crystalline domains within a crystal, and these properties are quantified for a metamict zircon megacryst. Detection of the weaker SAXS response expected from microfractures and networked defects requires the more intense X-rays of synchrotron-source radiation.  相似文献

The paper presents newly obtained original data on the morphology, internal structure (as seen in cathodoluminescence images, CL), and composition of more than 400 zircon grains separated from gabbroids and plagiogranites (OPG) sampled at the axial zone of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (MAR). The zircons were analyzed for REE by LA-ICP-MS and for Hf, U, Th, Y, and P by EPMA. Magmatic zircon in the gabbroids crystallized from differentiating magmatic melt in a number of episodes, as follows from systematic rimward increase in the Hf concentration, and also often from the simultaneous increase in the (U + Th) and (Y + P) concentrations. These tendencies are also discernible (although much less clearly) in zircons from the OPG. Zircon in the OPG is depleted in REE compared to the least modified zircons in the gabbro, which suggests that the OPG were derived via partial melting of gabbro in the presence of seawater-derived concentrated aqueous salt fluid. Another reason for the REE depletion might be simultaneous crystallization of zircon and apatite. The CL-dark sectors, which are found in practically all of the magmatic zircon grains, have Y/P (a.p.f.u.) ? 1 which most likely resulted from OH accommodation in the zircon structure, a fact suggesting that the OPG parental melt contained water. High-temperature hydrothermal processes induced partial to complete recrystallization of zircon (via dissolution-reprecepitation), a process that was associated with ductile and brittle deformations of the zircon-hosting rocks. The morphology of the hydrothermal zircons varies depending on pH and silica activity in the fluid from weakly corroded subhedral crystals with typical vermicular microtopography of the crystal faces to completely modified grains of colloform structure. Geochemically, the earlier hydrothermal transformations of the zircons resulted in their enrichment in La and other LREE, except only Ce, whose concentration, conversely, decreases compared to that of the unmodified magmatic zircons. The hydrothermal zircon displays a reduced Ce anomaly and its most altered domains typically host minute inclusions of xenotime, U and Th oxides and silicates, and occasionally also baddeleyite, which suggests that the hydrothermal fluid was reduced and highly alkaline. These features were acquired by the seawater-derived fluid when it circulated within the axial MAR zone area due to phase separation in the H2O–NaCl system and particularly as a result of fluid interaction with the abyssal peridotites of oceanic core complexes. Our data demonstrate that zircon is a sensitive indicator of tectonic and physicochemical processes in the oceanic crust.  相似文献

The U–Pb ages, REE content, and oxygen isotopic composition of zircon rims developed within a major shear zone in the Kalak Nappe Complex (KNC), Arctic Norway have been determined along with the age of monazite crystals. Different generations of granitic veins have been distinguished based on both field criteria and monazite ages of 446 ± 3 and 424 ± 3 Ma. Within each of these veins, inherited zircon cores are mantled by homogeneous low CL-response zircon rims which yield a range of concordant U–Pb dates of ca. 470–360 Ma. Significant numbers of zircon rims coincide with the timing of monazite crystallization. The zircon rims have moderate light REE enrichment compared to cores, distinctive (Sm/La) n values of less than 12, and La between 0.3 and 10 ppm. This indicates free elemental exchange between newly formed zircon rims and the surrounding matrix. The rims have calculated accumulated alpha-radiation dosages corresponding with a crystalline structure and δ18O values of 1‰. This implies rim crystallization directly from a zirconium-saturated hydrothermal fluid which was modified by some silicate melt. Growth of the zircon rims was prolonged and locally variable due to preferential fluid flow. A third type of zircon can be recognized, forming both rims and cores, with high alpha-radiation doses, and significant enrichment in La, Pr, and Eu. These are interpreted as low-temperature hydrothermally altered metamict zircons. The high volatile input and partial melting in the shear zone favoured prolonged zircon rim growth due to its ability to easily nucleate on inherited seeds. On the other hand, monazite, susceptible to dissolution and re-growth, crystallized in brief episodes, as has been predicted from theoretical phase diagrams. From a regional perspective, these results elucidate cryptic Ar–Ar cooling ages, providing the first record of a Late Ordovician heating and cooling phase within the KNC prior to the climactic Scandian collision.  相似文献

锆石可作为核废料处置矿物类比物的重要矿物 ,近年来对此开展了大量的研究。在综合前人研究成果的基础上 ,文中对天然锆石遭受放射性照射所导致的晶格破坏、蜕晶质化以及锆石在各种热液条件下的稳定性、表面反应特性等几个方面进行了总结研究 ,特别是对各种热液条件下锆石的溶解动力学及元素传质进行全面讨论 ,进一步阐明了锆石作为核废料处置矿物类比物的优越性 ,指出今后一方面应着重对锆石的放射性破坏机制及蜕晶质化过程中的元素扩散、迁移和聚集进行系统的研究 ,另一方面着重研究不同变质程度锆石的淋滤机制和不同条件下淋滤溶液 (不同 pH值、无机溶液组分、有机溶液等 )对锆石中各种元素的影响。  相似文献
