The convergence and energy-dissipation characteristics of an unconditionally stable implicit time integration scheme that has been adopted for pseudodynamic testing are examined in this paper. A convergence criterion is derived for general multiple-degree-of-freedom softening systems. Furthermore, it is shown that undesired loading and unloading cycles can be avoided in numerical iterations by scaling down the incremental corrections. Finally, it is proved that the total energy dissipation introduced by the residual convergence errors and proposed numerical correction is always positive for any softening structures. 相似文献

Most of the step-by-step time integration algorithms for structural dynamics require an initial acceleration vector to be specified, in addition to displacement and velocity vectors. A consistent initial acceleration vector may be calculated by solving the equations of motion at the initial time, while a truncated initial acceleration vector is obtained by setting the acceleration values to zero. Although the truncated starting procedure decreases computational effort, it is shown to affect accuracy adversely. For the structural dynamics algorithms considered herein, the rate at which the numerical solution converges to the exact solution is O(Δt) when the truncated starting procedure is used, compared to O(Δt2) when consistent initial acceleration values are used. 相似文献

The nodal domain integration method is applied to a two-dimensional advection-diffusion process in an anisotropic inhomogeneous medium. The domain is discretised into the union of irregular triangle finite elements with vertex-located nodal points and a linear trial function is used to approximate the governing flow equation's state variable in each element. Non-linear parameters are assumed quasi-constant for small durations in time in each element. The resulting numerical model represents the Galerkin and subdomain integration weighted residual methods and the integrated finite difference method as special cases. Both Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions are accommodated in a manner similar to the Galerkin finite element approach. 相似文献

PPP-RTK是一种可实现快速模糊度固定的精密单点定位(PPP)技术,它的组成包括由多个接收机构成的网端用于生成各类精密改正产品,以及单站构成的用户端以实现快速高精度定位.当网端是中等尺度参考网,即参考站之间的站间距在百余公里,有必要引入电离层加权模型,其优势在于能够增强PPP-RTK函数模型.此外,从非差非组合观测值层面出发,其能够兼容单/双频用户.然而,单凭卫星导航定位技术很难在复杂环境下提供连续导航定位服务.本文从理论到应用,基于非差非组合电离层加权PPP-RTK模型,构建了单/双频PPP-RTK/INS紧组合模型.在距离最近参考站约70 km的区域进行了两次车载实验,并分别利用单/双频PPP-RTK以及PPP-RTK/INS紧组合模型的实时处理结果进行分析.结果表明,双频PPP-RTK/INS紧组合在半城市环境能从分米级定位提升至厘米级定位,重收敛时间从11 s提升至3.6 s.以水平偏差小于0.2 m评估定位可用率,双频PPP-RTK/INS紧组合模型在半城市环境和复杂城市环境中分别可实现100%和96.97%.考虑车道级定位,单频PPP-RTK/INS紧组合模型在半城市和复杂城市环境内分别可实现分米以及亚米级定位,其在水平偏差在0.5 m内的可用率分别为98.97%和76.1%.

The nodal domain integration method is applied to a one-dimensional advection—diffusion mathematical model without a source term. Periodic variations in magma discharge rate and ground deformation have been commonly observed during lava dome eruptions. We performed a stability analysis of a conduit flow model by Barmin et al. [Barmin, A., Melnik, O., Sparks, R.S.J., 2002. Periodic behavior in lava dome eruptions. Earth and Planetary Science Letters 199 (1-2), 173–184], in which the periodic variations in magma flow rate and chamber pressure are reproduced as a result of the temporal and spatial changes of the magma viscosity controlled by the kinetics of crystallization. The model is reduced to a dynamical system where the time derivatives of the magma flow rate (dQ/dt) and the chamber pressure (dP/dt) are functions of Q and P evaluated at a shifted time t − t?. Here, the time delay t? represents the time for the viscosity of fluid particle to increase in a conduit. The dynamical system with time delay is approximated by a simple two-dimensional dynamical system of Q and P where t? is given as a parameter. The results of our linear stability analyses for these dynamical systems indicate that the transition from steady to periodic flow depends on nonlinearities in the steady state relation between Q and P. The steady state relation shows a sigmoidal curve in Q − P phase plane; its slope has negative values at intermediate flow rates. The steady state solutions become unstable, and hence P and Q oscillate periodically, when the negative slope of the steady state relation ([dP/dQ]S) exceeds a critical value; that is [dP/dQ]S < − t?γ/(2Vch), where Vch is the chamber volume and γ is an elastic constant which is related to the rigidity of chamber wall. We also found that the period and the pattern of oscillation of the conduit flow primarily depend on a quantity defined by LVch/r4, where L is the conduit length and r is the conduit radius. 相似文献

Uncertainty and sensitivity in a bank stability model: implications for estimating phosphorus loading 下载免费PDF全文
Eutrophication of aquatic ecosystems is one of the most pressing water quality concerns in the United States and around the world. Bank erosion has been largely overlooked as a source of nutrient loading, despite field studies demonstrating that this source can account for the majority of the total phosphorus load in a watershed. Substantial effort has been made to develop mechanistic models to predict bank erosion and instability in stream systems; however, these models do not account for inherent natural variability in input values. To quantify the impacts of this omission, uncertainty and sensitivity analyses were performed on the Bank Stability and Toe Erosion Model (BSTEM), a mechanistic model developed by the US Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Research Service (USDA‐ARS) that simulates both mass wasting and fluvial erosion of streambanks. Generally, bank height, soil cohesion, and plant species were found to be most influential in determining stability of clay (cohesive) banks. In addition to these three inputs, groundwater elevation, stream stage, and bank angle were also identified as important in sand (non‐cohesive) banks. Slope and bank height are the dominant variables in fluvial erosion modeling, while erodibility and critical shear stress had low sensitivity indices; however, these indices do not reflect the importance of critical shear stress in determining the timing of erosion events. These results identify important variables that should be the focus of data collection efforts while also indicating which less influential variables may be set to assumed values. In addition, a probabilistic Monte‐Carlo modeling approach was applied to data from a watershed‐scale sediment and phosphorus loading study on the Missisquoi River, Vermont to quantify uncertainty associated with these published results. While our estimates aligned well with previous deterministic modeling results, the uncertainty associated with these predictions suggests that they should be considered order of magnitude estimates only. Ballooning disturbances in a finite-pressure plasma in a curvilinear magnetic field are described by the system of coupled equations for the Alfvén and slow magnetosonic modes. In contrast to most previous works that locally analyzed the stability of small-scale disturbances using the dispersion relationship, a global analysis outside a WKB approximation but within a simple cylindrical geometry, when magnetic field lines are circles with constant curvature, is performed in the present work. This model is relatively simple; nevertheless, it has the singularities necessary for the formation of the ballooning mode: field curvature and non-uniform thermal plasma pressure. If the disturbance finite radial extent is taken into account, the instability threshold increases as compared to a WKB approximation. The simplified model used in this work made it possible to consider the pattern of unstable disturbances at arbitrary values of the azimuthal wavenumber (k y ). Azimuthally large-scale disturbances can also be unstable, although the increment increases with decreasing azimuthal scale and reaches saturation when the scales are of the order of the pressure nonuniformity dimension. 相似文献

自由表面多次波压制是海底地震仪(Ocean Bottom Seismometer,OBS)数据处理和成像中的难点,OBS数据多次波能量强,周期长,严重影响深层一次反射波的处理和成像.不同于常规拖缆观测系统,OBS数据站点一般相隔较远,仅仅利用检波点稀疏的波场信息难以压制OBS数据中的自由表面多次波.本文采用拖缆数据与OBS数据联合,利用稀疏反演估计(Estimation of Primaries and Multiples by Sparse Inversion,EPSI)方法,研究了OBS数据自由表面多次波压制理论,分析了OBS多次波产生的机理,详细推导了拖缆数据与OBS数据联合预测OBS多次波的EPSI方法基本原理.通过利用拖缆数据的信息,实现了OBS检波点稀疏数据多次波的压制问题.EPSI方法通过稀疏反演直接估计一次反射波,避免了SRME(Surface Related Multiple Elimination)方法中自适应相减对有效信号的损害,保真了一次反射有效信号,理论模拟OBS数据验证了方法的有效性. 相似文献
