Qualitative and quantitative knowledge about the spatial association between mineral occurrences and geological features are important in mineral potential mapping. Two existing methods for quantifying spatial association between mineral occurrences and curvilinear geological features are applied to the Baguio district of the Philippines. An experimental method is described and applied to the study area as well. The results of the three methods are highly similar, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the experimental method presented here for quantifying spatial association between mineral occurrences and curvilinear geological features. It is shown that gold occurrence in the Baguio district are strongly spatially associated with northeasterly trending faults/fractures rather than with northwesterly trending faults/fractures. It is also shown that the spatial association between the gold occurrence and older batholithic intrusives is stronger than the spatial association between gold occurrence and younger porphyry intrusives. These spatial geoinformation characteristics can be used as evidential data layers in GIS-based mineral potential mapping. 相似文献

This review deals with a highly complex set of dismembered peri-Gondwanan exotic polymetamorphic basement systems accommodated outside of the well-explored European Variscides, extending from the controversial Serbo-Macedonian hinterland up to the East Moesian Alpine foreland. The isotopic and limited detrital zircon ages are coupled with the lithotectonic and palinspastic record in order to restore the earliest peri-Gondwanan developments in modern-day South-east Europe (Carpatho-Balkanides and surrounding areas). The results suggest that these rather bewildering, occasionally underexplored tectonometamorphic suites exhibit Cadomian arc inheritance in a flanking part of this belt, whilst inferior Avalonian are positioned more internally. 相似文献

This protocol has been developed by the International Association of Geoanalysts to demonstrate procedures for the certification of geological and environmental reference materials to comply to the fullest extent possible with recommendations of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO Guide 35). A practical approach is described on the assumption that certifications will be normally be based on collaborative analysis programmes in which participating laboratories are preselected on the basis of performance in a proficiency testing programme or on the basis of other criteria of merit. 相似文献

海山富钴结壳是一种重要的海底固体矿产。对西太平洋海山的56个结壳样品进行了23种化学组分分析,并利用R型聚类分析和R型因子分析,分别提取四组元素组合和四个主因子。综合特征表明.富钴结壳在形成过程中,经历了一次强度较大的锰矿物相成矿作用,Co、Ni等元素的富集与此有关;铁矿物相的成矿作用强度较小,但表现出多期次的特点;锰、铁矿物是不同成矿作用的产物;结壳形成过程中,可能遭受了二次磷酸盐化作用,结壳中磷酸盐矿物的形成对铁矿物相的形成可能有抑制作用。 相似文献

The International Association of Geoanalysts (IAG) published a protocol for the certification of reference materials in close accord with the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) guidelines (Kane et al. 2003). This article supplements that protocol, providing additional discussion of best approaches for pre-selecting laboratories for participation in certification projects. This discussion also makes a distinction between inter-laboratory certifications, where n = 15 is the general standard, and expert laboratory certifications, where a much smaller number of laboratories will be deemed qualified to provide data of the quality needed for certification. 相似文献

The need for rapid storage and retrieval of geologic information is discussed briefly. The writer proposes to encode such information on perforated cards, from which it can be transferred to any other recording device. Hopefully, eventually, there will be an international arrangement where such information can be retrieved rapidly and used effectively anywhere in the world. Three examples are chosen to show how the proposed system works: A stratigraphic section, igneous phenomena, and tectonic deformations. 第四纪地质是工程地质的基础,第四纪沉积物的地层时代、岩性组合等是土体工程地质单元划分的重要依据.通过武汉市地貌、第四纪地质特征(地层、成因、岩性等)及土体工程地质性质等综合调查和分析,提出基于"地层时代+岩性组合(岩石地层单位)+岩性层"的武汉市工程地质单元体划分原则.根据城市建设的需要,将武汉市都市发展区土体工程地质单元体分为3级:单元层(1)、亚单元层(1-1)、基本单元层(1-1-1),其划分的控制因素依次为:地层时代、岩性组合(岩石地层单位)、岩性层.据此划分出工程地质单元层6个、亚单元层14个、基本单元层28个.并对各个工程地质单元体的特征进行了分析. 相似文献

Geological solar compasses. The magnetic properties of some rocks (notably basalts and peridotites) may cause large and unpredictable aberrations of the usual geological compass. Complications are then avoided by using a watch and a solar compass, of which two types for geological use have been developed. The horizontal solar compass has the virtues of simplicity and universality; its reading, however, does not give immediately the desired azimuth. Reduction graphs are easily calculated, but valid only for a specific time of year and geographical latitude. The equatorial solar compass can be read directly. Its use, restricted to the middle and high latitudes, is as convenient as of an ordinary geologist's compass. 相似文献
