兴华渡口群等大兴安岭北部前寒武纪变质岩系的组成和演化对于确定额尔古纳和兴安地块的构造属性具有重要意义,是近年大兴安岭北部基础地质研究的热点之一。本次工作通过对黑河北部石灰窑—明智山一带的兴华渡口群二云石英片岩和"混合岩"进行锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年发现该变质岩系并非前寒武纪变质岩,而是由早古生代碎屑沉积岩(或变质岩)和晚古生代岩浆岩经后期构造岩浆作用改造而形成的构造杂岩。其中二云石英片岩中具有岩浆成因特征的碎屑锆石核部年龄主要存在401~427 Ma、442~448 Ma、473~517 Ma、639~714 Ma、757~818Ma、896~933 Ma和1704~1751 Ma 7个年龄组,其中473~517 Ma段碎屑锆石的峰最明显,与早古生代多宝山组岛弧火山岩等早古生代岩浆作用形成时间相一致,其他年龄组亦在区域上其他地区有报道,这表明该变质岩的原岩物源来源较广泛,不仅有元古宙岩浆岩和变质岩系,还有大量的早古生代岩浆岩,因此其原岩形成时代不应是前寒武纪,而是早古生代。根据碎屑锆石最小峰值年龄,本次工作推断该二云石英片岩原岩的最大沉积年龄应不早于416Ma,另外大量的元古宙碎屑锆石表明区域上可能存在前寒武纪变质基底。对所谓混合岩的调查发现其应为发生动力变质的糜棱岩化二长花岗岩,其中岩浆锆石(304.5±3.1)Ma的206Pb/238U加权平均年龄反映花岗岩形成于晚石炭世晚期,该期花岗岩为晚古生代兴安地块东缘花岗岩带的一部分。  相似文献

对双河花岗质片麻岩的锆石进行了阴极发光分析 ,结果表明存在两种类型的锆石 (残留锆石和原岩中的岩浆锆石 )。对其进行离子探针定年显示原岩的岩浆锆石形成于 10 2 5Ma ,在超高压和后期的退变质事件中都存在铅丢失现象 ,其 197Ma变质作用的年龄不能反映超高压事件峰期变质作用的年龄。残留锆石的形成年龄为 2 86 1Ma的晚太古代年龄 ,这些锆石在超高压变质作用中发生了较严重的重结晶作用 ,对应于 2 30Ma左右的峰期变质作用的年龄 ,后期退变质作用对其影响较小。  相似文献

点苍山变质杂岩新生代变质-变形演化及其区域构造内涵   总被引:3,自引:2,他引:1  
点苍山变质杂岩体是哀牢山-红河韧性剪切带四个变质杂岩体之一,遭受了多期多阶段变质-变形作用改造。本文重点针对点苍山杂岩的新生代变质-变形作用,尤其是以富铝质高级变质岩即夕线石榴黑云片麻岩和侵位于其中的糜棱岩化细晶花岗质岩石开展了深入研究。对夕线石榴黑云片麻岩的显微构造分析与矿物共生组合研究,确定了高角闪岩相和低角闪岩相变质矿物共生组合,分别为:石榴石(Grt)+夕线石(Sil)+钾长石(Kfs)+黑云母(Bi)+斜长石(Pl)±石英(Q)和夕线石(Sil)+白云母(Ms)+黑云母(Bi)+石英(Q)。对其中的变质锆石进行SHRIMP U-Pb测试,获得了新生代三个阶段的变质作用年龄,即54.2±1.7Ma、31.5±1.5Ma和27.5±1.2Ma.本文还深入研究了侵位于高级变质岩中的一个花岗岩质糜棱岩的宏观与显微构造特点,其LA-ICP-MS年龄为24.4±0.89Ma,代表着同剪切就位花岗质岩浆侵位和结晶年龄。夕线石榴黑云片麻岩中变质锆石从2150~27Ma多期多阶段表观年龄的发育,表明点苍山变质杂岩体具有复杂的构造演化史。点苍山杂岩的多阶段新生代构造-热演化归咎于印度-欧亚板块会聚与碰撞作用(约54Ma)、造山后伸展作用(大约40~30Ma)和沿着哀牢山-红河剪切带大规模左行走滑变形作用(约27~21Ma)。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

U-Pb detrital zircon age patterns are presented for nine samples of metapelites from the metamorphic basement of south-central Chile between 37° and 40°S, along with detrital zircon ages for a sample from the Piedra Santa metamorphic complex and a crystallization age of the Chachil plutonic complex, farther east in Argentina. Two distinct zircon age patterns are identified. One is a pattern with a dominant population of zircons at ca. 470 Ma (Ordovician), a widespread presence of Mesoproterozoic ages (1200 ? 1000 Ma), and a Carboniferous maximum deposition age indicated by the youngest zircon population. The second pattern is drastically different, with a main population of Permian zircons, a 290–250 Ma maximum deposition age, and a minor contribution of Pennsylvanian age zircons. Our results, coupled with previously reported metamorphic ages, show that the patterns reflect the presence of different tectonic blocks separated by the Mocha-Villarrica Fault Zone at 39°S. Metapelites north of this structure have the Ordovician-dominated pattern characteristic of the Western Series of the Paleozoic basement, and those south of the fault show the Permian-dominated pattern observed in the younger high-pressure metapelites from the Bahía Mansa metamorphic complex. The Piedra Santa metamorphic complex also shows the Ordovician-dominated pattern and was intruded by the Chachil plutonic complex dated here at ca. 303 Ma. Therefore, the Piedra Santa complex is interpreted as coeval with the Chilean metamorphic basement. The present dislocation of blocks with different ages is attributed to continental-scale dextral strike-slip tectonics along the Huincul Fault Zone, Argentina, which extends to the west as the Mocha-Villarrica Fault Zone in Chile.  相似文献

云开地块中生代构造演化是华南地区的研究热点之一.通过对云开地块变质基底中的混合岩、片麻岩(5个样品)和花岗岩(1个样品)开展锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年,获得440.3±3.3 Ma、230.2±2.9 Ma、230.7±1.3 Ma、459.5±2.7 Ma、431.5±4.3 Ma、229.2±5.4 Ma、229.7±2.7 Ma 7组变质(深熔)或岩浆年龄和2组(样品1432-1和ID7-3)碎屑锆石年龄,碎屑锆石年龄范围均为太古代-新元古代,且具有~1.0 Ga年龄主峰,与天堂山岩群和云开群碎屑锆石年龄谱相似.区域资料表明云开地块天堂山岩群和云开群具有相似的物质组成,均形成于早古生代-新元古代,存在变质程度和物质面貌的差异;在加里东期构造-热事件的基础上,广泛叠加了印支期区域变质(深熔)-构造-流体作用影响.4个样品中(1431-1、1432-1、D116-3和ID7-3)锆石原位Lu-Hf同位素组成显示,加里东期变质和深熔锆石Lu/Hf同位素组成基本一致,应继承了原岩的同位素组成特征.印支期变质和深熔锆石Lu/Hf同位素组成不同,可能主要由变质作用和深熔作用的差异所致.以古-中元古代为主的地壳物质参与了加里东期和印支期变质-深熔作用,在加里东期和印支期深熔作用过程中,均有少量幔源物质的加入,印支期幔源物质的贡献相对显著.   相似文献

对北大别鹿吐石和道士冲二个片麻岩中锆石进行了离子探针U-Pb年龄测定。二个样品13个颗粒的20个有效测定点的年龄表明,鹿吐石片麻岩主要分布在233 ̄394M道士冲片麻岩在307 ̄718Ma之间。道十冲片麻岩年龄的一致性程度要高于鹿叶石,两个样品均无低于220Ma的年龄信息。由于存在年龄的不一致性,这些年龄可能代表了由古老岩浆锆石和三叠纪的超高压变质锆石或者早白垩纪岩浆锆石所代表的混合、增生锆石。H  相似文献

桐柏造山带是研究秦岭-桐柏-大别-苏鲁变质带演化的关键地区。由于桐柏高级变质杂岩深熔作用发生时间还缺乏准确的限定,这一区域的构造演化仍存在较大的争议。本文对桐柏杂岩中的一个混合岩的中色体和两个混合岩浅色体样品中的锆石进行了LA-ICPMS年代学测定。中色体中锆石分析点获得的上下交点分别为859±73Ma和135±250Ma。接近上交点的6个谐和分析点给出的206Pb/238U加权平均结果为828±7Ma (MSWD=0.57)。这一年龄结果同上交点在误差范围内一致,代表混合岩原岩结晶年龄,对应扬子板块北缘出现的中-新元古代的岩浆事件。另一方面,混合岩浅色体中的新生锆石具有面状分带或是弱的振荡环带,低的Th/U比值,锆石形态学和内部结构也表明新生锆石结晶于与深熔作用有关的熔体中,它们的206Pb/238U加权平均值分别为135±4Ma和131±3Ma。这一年龄范围代表桐柏高级变质地体发生深熔作用时间,区域上与桐柏-大别变质带广泛出现的碰撞后岩浆事件的时代相同。桐柏造山带出现造山后伸展的时间应不晚于135Ma。  相似文献

北祁连山西段北大河岩群碎屑锆石SHRIMP U-Pb年代学研究   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
白云母石英片岩中碎屑锆石的成因矿物学研究及SHRIMP U-Pb同位素年龄测定表明,北大河岩群变质沉积岩的蚀源区存在1400~3035Ma构造热事件,除了年龄为约2457Ma的变质事件外,主要表现为岩浆事件,其中以1800Ma左右的岩浆事件最为强烈,1400~1700Ma事件次之,中-新太古代的岩浆事件也比较明显;北大河岩群可能遭受过863Ma左右的变质作用影响,其沉积岩的沉积作用发生于1400Ma(最小的碎屑锆石年龄)至863Ma(变质年龄)之间,而不是前人所认为的古元古代;根据46%的碎屑锆石为1800Ma左右这一事实,最起码可以肯定北大河岩群的沉积年龄新于1800Ma;北大河岩群的蚀源区存在中-新太古代的古老陆壳。同时,北大河岩群碎屑锆石年龄资料也为朱龙关群蛇绿岩的形成时代提供了有力的制约:朱龙关群蛇绿岩很可能形成于早古生代,而非中元古代早期。  相似文献

Archean processes of eclogitization in the Gridino metamorphic association (the Belomorian eclogite province) developed in mafic dykes, boudins, and acidic rocks of the Archean continental crusts. To determine the U-Pb age of the intrusion of the latest dykes, the geochronological samples were taken from the dyke of ferriferious metagabbro that cross-cuts the dyke of eclogitzed and granulitized olivine gabbronorite. The igneous zircons were dated by the SHRIMP II technique. The zircons showed a concordia age of 2846 ± 7 Ma, which is considered as the time of intrusion of a mafic melt. The younger low-thorium zircon rims of 2.78–2.81 Ga age around the igneous cores are typical formations that appeared under metamorphic conditions in equilibrium with a migmatite melt, and may characterize the time of formation of the granite leucosome under metamorphism, probably of eclogite facies.  相似文献

叠布斯格杂岩作为阿拉善地块变质程度最高、形成时代最老的变质岩系,是进一步深入认识阿拉善地块形成、演化与构造亲缘性的最佳对象.本文对叠布斯格杂岩中黑云斜长片麻岩开展了系统的野外地质调查、岩相学观察和锆石U-Pb年代学研究.碎屑锆石U-Pb定年和野外地质调查表明,叠布斯格杂岩中黑云斜长片麻岩碎屑锆石年龄介于2 177~2 010 Ma,最小年龄峰值为2 050 Ma,结合变质锆石年龄数据,限定其沉积时代在2 050~1 969 Ma之间.区域对比研究表明,阿拉善地块叠布斯格杂岩中黑云斜长片麻岩与西阿拉善地块龙首山杂岩、华北克拉通孔兹岩带(尤其是孔兹岩带西部)中的变沉积岩系在沉积时代与源区特征上具有高度的一致性.此外,变质锆石U-Pb定年和微量元素分析表明,叠布斯格杂岩中黑云斜长片麻岩记录了古元古代晚期1 969~1 811 Ma连续的变质年龄.对比分析阿拉善地块与孔兹岩带变沉积岩系的碎屑锆石年龄谱系-变质时代表明,阿拉善地块与孔兹岩带在古元古代可能具有相同的沉积-变质演化历史,在古元古代期间阿拉善地块应是华北克拉通孔兹岩带的西延部分.   相似文献

华北克拉通早前寒武纪基底由多个微陆块组成,其主期拼合时代是困扰地质学家的一个重大课题。华北中部造山带作为新太古代-古元古代一条重要的碰撞型造山带已得到广泛共识。大量高精度年代学资料显示,华北中部造山带至少记录了大约1. 85Ga、1. 95Ga和2. 5Ga的三组变质年龄信息。但目前,2. 5Ga左右的变质年龄仅在华北中部造山带中部的阜平和赞皇等少数杂岩区有零星报道。左权变质杂岩位于华北中部造山带中南段东侧、阜平杂岩以南,向东紧邻赞皇杂岩,是洞悉早前寒武纪时期华北克拉通基底形成及演化过程的一个重要窗口。杂岩区出露多种早寒武纪变质岩石,其中长英质黑云斜长片麻岩分布范围最广,局部暗色矿物富集;斜长角闪岩或角闪片麻岩多以透镜状或似层状方式产出于长英质片麻岩中;杂岩区南部发育多个小型磁铁矿矿床。本文对研究区多种类型岩石样品进行了细致的岩相学、锆石U-Pb年代学和锆石稀土元素研究,发现多数样品中发育变质成因锆石,记录至少两组变质年龄信息。第一组年龄(1903Ma)仅被个别角闪片麻岩样品保存,反映了杂岩区所经历的变质峰期或近峰期阶段的时代;第二组年龄(2483~2507Ma)分布广泛,所代表的变质事件发生在区域片麻理之前,与华北克拉通约25亿年时发生的大规模构造热事件有关。  相似文献

Within the Ötztal Complex (ÖC), migmatites are the only geological evidence of the pre-Variscan metamorphic evolution, which led to the occurrence of partial anatexis in different areas of the complex. We investigated migmatites from three localities in the ÖC, the Winnebach migmatite in the central part and the Verpeil- and Nauderer Gaisloch migmatite in the western part. We determined metamorphic stages using textural relations and electron microprobe analyses. Furthermore, chemical microprobe ages of monazites were obtained in order to associate the inferred stages of mineral growth to metamorphic events. All three migmatites show evidence for a polymetamorphic evolution (pre-Variscan, Variscan) and only the Winnebach migmatite shows evidence for a P-accentuated Eo-Alpine metamorphic overprint in the central ÖC. The P-T data range from 670–750 °C and < 2.8 kbar for the pre-Variscan event, 550–650 °C and 4–7 kbar for the Variscan event and 430–490 °C and ca. 8.5 kbar for the P-accentuated Eo-Alpine metamorphic overprint. U-Th-Pb electron microprobe dating of monazites from the leucosomes from all three migmatites provides an average age of 441 ± 18 Ma, thus indicating a pervasive Ordovician-Silurian metamorphic event in the ÖC.  相似文献

The Great Xing’an Range in Northeast China is located in the eastern part of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt. From north to south, the Great Xing’an Range is divided into the Erguna, Xing’an, and Songliao blocks. Previous U–Pb zircon geochronology results have revealed that some ‘Precambrian metamorphic rocks’ in the Xing’an block have Phanerozoic protolith ages, questioning whether Precambrian basement exists in the Xing’an block. We present laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA–ICP–MS) U–Pb dating results for zircons from suspected Precambrian metamorphic rocks in the Xing’an block. Meta-rhyolites of the Xinkailing Group in Nenjiang yield magmatic ages of 355.8 Ma. Detrital zircons from phyllites of the Xinkailing Group in Duobaoshan yield populations of ca. 1505, ca. 810, and ca. 485 Ma, with the youngest peak constraining its depositional age to be <485 Ma. Zircons from amphibolitic gneisses of the Xinkailing Group in Nenjiang have magmatic ages of 308.6 Ma. Mylonitic granites of the Xinkailing Group in Nenjiang have zircon magmatic ages of 164 Ma. Detrital zircons from two-mica quartz schists of the Luomahu Group in the Galashan Forest yield ca. 2419, ca. 1789, ca. 801, ca. 536, ca. 480, and ca. 420 Ma, with the youngest peak indicating its depositional age as <420 Ma. Detrital zircons from mylonitized sericite–chlorite schist of the Ergunhe Formation in Taerqi yield populations of 982–948, ca. 519, and ca. 410 Ma, with the youngest peak demonstrating that its depositional age is <410 Ma. These zircon ages for a range of lithologies show that the Great Xing’an Range metamorphic rocks formed during the Phanerozoic (164–485 Ma) and that this crust is mostly Palaeozoic. Based on these results and published data, we conclude that there is no evidence of Precambrian metamorphic basement in the Xing’an block. In summary, the age data indicate that Precambrian metamorphic basement may not exist in the Xing’an region.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

To constrain the timing from the accretion to the subduction-related metamorphism of the protolith in the Sanbagawa eclogites, we performed zircon U–Pb datings and REE composition analyses on pelitic schist of the Seba eclogite-facies region in the Besshi area in central Shikoku, Japan. The detrital igneous cores of the zircons show ages from ca. 2000 to 100 Ma, and the metamorphic rims show ca. 90 Ma. These results show that the protolith was accreted at ca. 100–90 Ma, which is significantly younger than the previously reported accretion age of ca. 130 Ma of other eclogite-facies regions in this area. And, the metamorphic rim domains show HREE decrease without Eu anomalies, suggesting that they were formed at ca. 90 Ma eclogite-facies metamorphism. Our results combined with previous reports for the tectonics of the Sanbagawa metamorphic rocks suggest that there are at least two eclogite-facies units with different accretion ages in the Besshi area; ca. 130 Ma unit (Besshi unit) and ca. 100–90 Ma unit (Asemi-gawa unit), which structurally contact with each other. It is likely that the older unit was subducted into a depth of over 50 km and stagnated until the younger unit was subducted to the same depth. Probably, both units were juxtaposed at a mantle depth and began to exhume to the surface at the same timing after ca. 90 Ma. The juxtaposition and exhumation process might have relation to multi-factors such as tectonic erosion along the subduction zone, shallowing subduction angle of the hotter slab, backflow in the mantle and fluid infiltration along exhumation route.  相似文献

Field observations and U-Pb zircon data yield evidence that the Kaintaleck Complex represents a distinct crystalline basement unit of the eastern Greywacke Zone and contrasts partly with other pre-Alpine basement complexes of the Eastern Alps. The age data indicate possible Late Archean rock formation, several magmatic and metamorphic events in the Early Palaeozoic (ca. 520-490 and ca. 400-360 Ma), and low-grade metamorphic overprint in the Cretaceous. Zircons from a garnet gneiss layer in a plagioclase gneiss and amphibolite sequence yield an upper intercept age of ca. 2.55 Ga which is interpreted as a possible protolith age. The lower intercept age at 514 Ma represents either (1) a magmatic event or (2) a metamorphic overprint within amphibolite facies conditions. Magmatic zircons derived from granitic orthogneiss boulders of the Kalwang Conglomerate, which covers the crystalline basement, crystallised at ca. 500 Ma. The lower discordia intercepts of the orthogneiss boulders mark the Cretaceous low-grade metamorphic overprint. The lower intercept age of paragneiss zircons from another slice of the Kaintaleck Complex suggests a likely Devonian metamorphic event at ca. 390-400 Ma. The new data demonstrate that the Kaintaleck Complex experienced several stages of tectonothermal evolutions, which are in contrast to the evolution of the main mass of the Austroalpine basement. The data constrain linkages of this part of the Austroalpine basement to the Cordillere Ligérienne and Cadomian block within West-European Variscides.  相似文献

Petrological studies on the surrounding metamorphic rocks of the Eppawala carbonatite body, Wanni complex, Sri Lanka, revealed that these rocks had been metamorphosed under amphibolite to granulite facies conditions. Garnet-sillimanite-biotite gneiss shows lower range of metamorphic temperature (730–770°C) than the migmatite gneiss (750–780°C) and the pressure varies from 6.6–7.8 kbar to 5.6–6.4 kbar respectively. The metamorphic age of the garnet-sillimanite-biotite gneiss and migmatite gneiss dated 607±23 Ma and 626±16 Ma, respectively for mineral — whole rock isochron in Sm-Nd system. These ages are compatible with the ages of regional high-grade metamorphism occurred 610–550 Ma in the three crustal units in Sri Lanka.Rb-Sr system for biotite, apatite and whole-rock fractions suggests 493±5 Ma for the Eppawala carbonatite body. This age indicates the cooling age of the biotite. The presence of non-crystalline carbonatite matrix and large hexagonal apatite crystals suggests a slow cooling history. Further, low closure temperature of biotite in Rb-Sr system suggests that the intrusion age of carbonatite body should be more than 493 Ma, but non-metamorphosed nature provides evidence that the intrusion age of the carbonatite body should be less than the period of regional metamorphism 610–550 Ma. Therefore, Eppawala carbonatite body has a strong possibility to be a late to post magmatic intrusion. The other late to post magmatic intrusions in the Wanni complex and Highland complex are dated between 580–550 Ma. Therefore, the most probable intrusion age of the Eppawala carbonatite body is suggested to be around 550 Ma.  相似文献

内蒙古克什克腾旗位于西拉木伦河以北,属锡林浩特地块南缘。本文对出露于克什克腾旗北东约5 km的一套变质粉砂岩进行了锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb测年,其年龄结果主要分为4个区间:258~298 Ma(峰值为285 Ma)、377~474 Ma(峰值为430 Ma)、1261~1727 Ma、1853~2513 Ma,此外还含有321 Ma和937 Ma的锆石各一颗。锆石CL图像显示:258~298 Ma的锆石以岩浆锆石为主,响应兴蒙造山带的晚古生代岩浆活动;377~474 Ma的锆石中既有岩浆锆石又有变质锆石,表明其源区既有奥陶纪-泥盆纪岩浆岩,又有古生代的变质岩;1261~1727 Ma的锆石以岩浆锆石为主,少数为变质锆石,暗示中元古代的岩浆岩和变质岩也为该组提供物源;1853~2513 Ma的锆石以岩浆锆石为主,反映了华北板块基底的年龄信息。该变质粉砂岩中碎屑锆石的最小谐和年龄是258 Ma,限定了其沉积时代的下限为晚二叠世,应属于林西组。年龄峰值既对应华北板块的重要构造热事件,又有与兴蒙造山带地质事件相关的年龄信息,表明林西组具有南北两个物源区,同时也暗示在其形成时华北板块与西伯利亚板块已经拼合。  相似文献

乌拉山-大青山孔兹岩系岩石出露于华北克拉通孔兹岩带中段,是洞悉华北克拉通前寒武纪基底构造演化历史的一个重要窗口。研究区孔兹岩系岩石包括堇青石榴黑云二长片麻岩、夕线堇青石榴黑云二长片麻岩、紫苏石榴黑云片麻岩和石榴长英质粒状岩石,系统的岩相学观察显示多种典型的减压反应结构。阴极发光图像特征显示乌拉山-大青山孔兹岩系岩石均存在大量继承性碎屑锆石和变质增生锆石,其中继承性碎屑锆石形态复杂,多显示典型岩浆结晶环带,标志着源区物质主要来源于岩浆岩。变质锆石为新生的单颗粒或围绕着继承性碎屑锆石核生长,内部结构均匀,整体的Th/U比值较低。锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年结果表明,该区孔兹岩系岩石的继承性碎屑锆石的207Pb/206Pb年龄主要集中在2400~2500Ma、~2300Ma和2000~2100Ma,进而可限定其最老沉积时代应为~2000Ma,表明乌拉山-大青山孔兹岩系的原岩形成时代为古元古代中期。乌拉山-大青山孔兹岩系中典型的变质锆石记录其变质时代为1850~1950Ma,并显示~1950Ma和~1860Ma两组年龄峰。结合前人对内蒙古孔兹岩带乌拉山-大青山地区高级变质地体的变质作用、构造演化和同位素年代学的研究结果,综合判断该期变质事件与古元古代华北克拉通西部陆块内北部的阴山陆块和南部的鄂尔多斯陆块之间的俯冲-碰撞并折返抬升至地表的动力学过程有关,其中~1950Ma代表了陆-陆碰撞形成孔兹岩带的初始阶段,而~1860Ma则代表了其折返抬升的时代。  相似文献

The age and tectonometamorphic history of massif anorthosite in the Jotun Nappe Complex, SW Norway, were investigated by zircon and titanite U–Pb ID-TIMS. The anorthosite contains sparse zircons showing complex U–Pb systematics reflecting events dated at 965 ± 4 and 913 ± 2 Ma, and a pronounced Caledonian metamorphic overprint. The oldest age is interpreted as the protolith age of the massif anorthosite. We propose that the Jotun anorthosite is related to 970–960 Ma magmatism in the Western Gneiss Region and coeval, orogen-perpendicular extension. Conversely, a 930 Ma high-grade metamorphic event in the Jotun Nappe Complex and the related Lindås Nappe is likely related to formation of the autochthonous ca. 930 Ma Rogaland anorthosite complex. We suggest that the two late- to post-orogenic AMCG events reflect two instances of lithospheric foundering below the orogen separated by ca. 20–30 my. The 913 ± 2 Ma metamorphic episode appears to date a heating event restricted to the outermost edge of the Western Gneiss Region. Leucosome formation in high-grade gneisses geographically close to the Jotun anorthosite is dated at 892 ± 4 Ma and suggested to reflect CO2-rich (?) fluid flux along shear zones.  相似文献
