This paper discusses specific features in the origin of the Cenozoic sediments filling the Anadyr Basin. Two petroliferous rock complexes have been recognized: (1) lower, orogenic, including sedimentary rocks of an Eocene-Early Miocene age and (2) upper, postorogenic, embracing Middle Miocene-Pliocene sediments. The total initial hydrocarbon resources in the land and aquatorial parts of the Anadyr petroliferous basin have been calculated.  相似文献

The interpretation of the geomagnetic data covering the Nigerian Sector of the hydrocarbon elusive Chad Basin has been carried out with the aim of evaluating its hydrocarbon prospectivity. The geomagnetic data was subjected to transformation and enhancement techniques such as reduction to the equator, band-pass filtering, analytic signal, pseudogravity, Source Parameter Imaging (SPI), and Euler deconvolution (ED). The 2-D forward modeling was done using the GM-SYS? software. The results revealed two subbasins, separated by basement high, where the thickness of sedimentary succession of source rocks, reservoirs, and seals attained about 5 km. Two sets of laterally persistent NE-SW and NW-SE fracture systems capable of forming migratory routes were identified within the study area. Euler solutions show basement fractures that propagate through the sedimentary column at 1000 to 5000 m. Characteristic alternation of positive and negative pseudogravity anomalies exposed basement configuration to be of horst and graben architecture. Constructed models revealed drape anticlines that could act as structural traps in the event of hydrocarbon generation. Analytic signal anomalies indicative of igneous intrusive were mapped within the subbasins. This study concluded that elements that favour hydrocarbon occurrence are present in the Chad Basin and was therefore considered to be of high hydrocarbon prospectivity provided the occurrence and timing of the igneous intrusions had not adversely affected hydrocarbon accumulation.  相似文献

盆地分析是著名的沉积学家P.E.波特(Potter)与F.J.裴蒂庄(Pettijohn)等在前人研究基础上将沉积盆地研究的原理和方法系统化而发展起来的一门沉积学分支学科[6]。这一学科的近代发展趋势则不局限于对盆地内沉积充填的研究,而是与构造研究愈来愈紧密地结合。其基本思想是将沉积盆地作为一个整体,全面分析盆地的地层格架和构造格架、沉积环境以及煤和石油等沉积矿产的分布规律[3][4]。在研究中注意各项地质特征的演化,并通过分析和类比建立各种类型盆地的沉积模式,为矿产资源预测和评价提供依据。盆地分析如同地质学的大多数领域一样,首先是以充分的野外地质观察为基础,并在进一步综合分析的基础上用一整套图件综合反映研究成果,如地层厚度图、岩相图、沉积断面图、沉积物分散类型和古流向图等。  相似文献

通过对孙吴-嘉荫盆地淘淇河组、永安村组、太平林场组、鱼亮子组、乌云组和孙吴组露头剖面详细的沉积学研究,查明该盆地从淘淇河组到孙吴组发育的沉积相类型有冲积扇、辫状河、曲流河、扇三角洲、辫状河三角洲、曲流河三角洲、湖底扇和湖泊。冲积扇及扇三角洲主要发育于淘淇河组和孙吴组;辫状河及辫状河三角洲主要发育于鱼亮子组和乌云组;曲流河及曲流河三角洲主要发育于永安村组和太平林场组,各组均有湖泊相沉积发育。孙吴-嘉荫盆地从淘淇河组到乌云组,具有冲积扇-扇三角洲-湖泊→曲流河-曲流河三角洲-湖泊→辫状河-辫状河三角洲-湖泊→冲积扇-扇三角洲-湖泊的沉积演化规律,反映晚白垩-古新世构造活动性减弱,中-上新世孙吴组沉积时重又趋于活动。  相似文献

The Mission Paléoanthropologique Franco-Tchadienne (MPFT) found a new species of Orycteropodidae (Mammalia, Tubulidentata) in the Kollé fossiliferous sector, northern Chad. After Orycteropus abundulafus [Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology 20 (1) (2000) 205–209; Lehmann, T., Vignaud, P., Likius A., Brunet M., in press. A new Orycteropodidae (Mammalia, Tubulidentata) in the Mio-Pliocene of Northern Chad. Zool. J. Linnean Soc.], this specimen is the second complete skeleton of fossil aardvark found in the Djurab desert. It is the first complete representative of an Orycteropus species found in the Pliocene of Africa. In regard to the Miocene fossil aardvarks, this new taxon, Orycteropus djourabensis nov. sp., shows more affinities with the extant O. afer. The main differences are the larger teeth and the shorter hand in the fossil form. Kossom Bougoudi and Kollé represent a chronological series that gives a unique opportunity for studying the evolution of the African Tubulidentata around the Mio-Pliocene boundary (5.5-4 My). The new species is distinct from the older Chadian Orycteropodid from KB and it embodies the taxonomic turnover that took place within the order Tubulidentata around this boundary in Africa. Moreover, this new species is the oldest known Orycteropus species that clearly belongs to the modern forms including the extant aardvark.  相似文献

结合区域沉积背景,应用BS1-1取心井资料进行泥岩颜色、岩石组合、沉积结构、构造、粒度分布、沉积韵律等相标志分析,对BS油藏沉积微相特征进行了深入研究,分析了沉积微相对油气分布的控制作用。BS油藏PI油层组为扇三角洲前缘远端沉积,水下分流河道分布范围有限,仅在断层附近发育,河道前端受湖浪作用改造明显,前缘席状砂发育,偶见远砂坝,河道间微相不发育。沉积微相类型控制了储层类型及其展布方式和储集性能,沉积微相展布对油气分布具有明显的控制作用,水下分流河道生储盖组合良好,为油气有利富集相带。  相似文献

以前人的研究为基础,结合研究区及邻区地球物理资料、岩矿特征、钻井资料,分析了盆地结构特征、构造样式、演化序列以及油气成藏规律。研究表明,乍得湖盆地为伸展断-坳型裂谷盆地,断裂、褶皱构造发育;经历了前裂谷(侏罗纪以前)、同裂谷(135~23.5Ma)、后裂谷(23.5Ma以后)三个演化阶段;主要发育白垩纪和古近纪两套含油气系统。  相似文献

Quaternary post-Barreiras sediments are widespread along Brazil's passive margin. These deposits are well exposed in the onshore Paraíba Basin, which is one of the rift basins formed during the Pangean continental breakup. In this area, the post-Barreiras sediments consist of sandstones with abundant soft-sediment deformation structures related to seismicity contemporaneous with deposition. The trace fossils Thalassinoides and Psilonichnus are found up to 38 m above modern sea level in sandstones dated between 60.0 (± 1.4) and 15.1 (± 1.8) ka. The integration of ichnological and sedimentary facies suggests nearshore paleoenvironments. Such deposits could not be related to eustatic sea-level rise, as this time coincides with the last glaciation. Hence, an uplift of 0.63 mm/yr, or 1.97 mm/yr if sea level was 80 m lower in the last glaciation, would have been required to ascend the post-Barreiras sediments several meters above the present-day sea level during the last 60 ka. This would suggest that the post-rift stage of the South American eastern passive margin may have experienced tectonic reactivation more intense than generally recognized. Although more complete data are still needed, the information presented herein may play an important role in studies aiming to decipher the Quaternary evolution of this passive margin.  相似文献

In order to characterize the H isotopic compositions of individual lipid compounds from different terrestrial depositional environments, the δD values of C-bound H in individual n-alkanes from typical terrestrial source rocks of the Liaohe Basin and the Turpan Basin, China, were measured using gas chromatography–thermal conversion–isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC–TC–IRMS). The analytical results indicate that the δD values of individual n-alkanes in the extracts of terrestrial source rocks have a large variation, ranging from −140‰ to −250‰, and are obviously lighter than the δD of marine-sourced n-alkanes. Moreover, a trend of depletion in 2H(D) was observed for individual n-alkanes from different terrestrial depositional environments, from saline lacustrine to freshwater paralic lacustrine, and to swamp. For example, the δD values of n-alkanes from a stratified saline lacustrine environment vary from −140‰ to −200‰, δD for n-alkanes from swamp facies range from −200‰ to −250‰, while those from freshwater paralic lacustrine–lacustrine environments fall between the δD values of the end members. The shift toward lighter δD from saltwater to freshwater environments indicates that the source water δD is the major controlling factor for the H isotopic composition of individual compounds. In addition, H exchange between formation water and sedimentary organic matter may possibly be important in regard to the δD of individual n-alkanes. Therefore, other lines of geochemical evidence must be considered when depositional paleoenvironments of source rocks are reconstructed based on the H isotopic composition of individual n-alkanes.  相似文献

The Komadugu river system is the major Nigerian tributary to Lake Chad. Its large alluvial complex represents an important archive of the late Quaternary environmental history of the Chad Basin. Modern floodplains are incised into an older fluvial terrace that extends over 5000 km2. Evidence from satellite images suggests that the ancient river system was dammed up by the Bama Beach Ridge during high stands of mega Lake Chad. This caused the formation of extensive wetlands with a chaotic network of relic channels. The first set of luminescence ages presented here fits well into the previously established environmental history of the Chad Basin. Both the early and mid‐Holocene pluvial periods as well as a final relatively humid period during the late Holocene are reflected by point bar to overbank deposits or channel fills. The onset of the Holocene was characterised by erosion of older dune fields as indicated by grain‐size distributions of the alluvium. Satellite images and sedimentological observations show that the floodplain was dominated by meandering channels shifted by frequent avulsion, reflecting a high variability in precipitation and discharge patterns at the beginning and end of Holocene humid periods. In the central Iranian Esfahan-Sirjan and Qom basins sedimentation of the Oligo-/Miocene Qom Formation took place on extensive mixed carbonate–siliciclastic ramps. During this time, both basins were positioned at the Eurasian margin of the Tethyan Seaway, which connected the western and eastern regions of the Tethys Ocean at least until the late Burdigalian. During the so-called Terminal Tethyan Event the Tethyan Seaway was then closed due to the collision of the African/Arabian and Iranian/Eurasian plates. Facies analysis of the sedimentary record of both basins indicates paleoenvironments ranging from terrestrial to open marine settings, including mangrove, restricted inner shelf lagoon, seagrass meadow, reefal, and deeper offshore environments. Recognition of eight depositional sequences and elaboration of an integrated biostratigraphic framework (calcareous nannoplankton, planktic and larger benthic foraminifers, gastropods, and pectinids) allow us to construct a basin-spanning stratigraphy. The assignment of the recognized sea-level lowstands to the Ru 3 to Bur 3 lowstands of the global sea-level curve enables a comparison with time-equivalent sections from the Zagros Basin, which was part of the African/Arabian Plate on the opposing southern margin of the Tethyan Seaway. The so calibrated sections display restrictions of the Tethyan Seaway and interruption of the south Iranian gateways between the Qom Basin and the Proto-Indopacific in relation to ongoing plate collision during the early Burdigalian.  相似文献

羌塘盆地位于可可西里—金沙江缝合带与班公湖—怒江缝合带之间,其沉积演化对于正确认识古、中特提斯洋盆构造演化具有重要意义。本文通过沉积序列、岩相古地理、沉积盆地分析,结合年代地层学等最新研究成果,建立了羌塘中生代盆地(T3—K1)的沉积演化模式,讨论了羌塘盆地演化与古特提斯洋盆关闭、中特提斯洋盆形成的关系。羌塘中生代盆地(T3—K1)是由冲洪积相沉积超覆开始的,总体上为一个向上变深的海侵序列,表现为冲洪积相、河湖相逐渐演化为滨海相及浅海相,可划分出3种典型的沉积超覆类型及5个主要阶段的沉积演化序列。羌塘中生代盆地整体上为一个由前陆盆地演化为裂谷盆地、被动大陆边缘盆地、最终转化为活动大陆边缘盆地并萎缩消亡的叠合盆地。羌塘早—中三叠世前陆盆地的关闭,与古特提斯洋盆的关闭有关,羌塘中生代盆地(T3—K1)的演化受中特提斯洋的快速开启及关闭的制约。  相似文献

This article describes a complete sedimentary succession of an ancient macrotidal tide-dominated estuarine system based on the detailed outcrop study. The Eocene siliciclastic sedimentary facies of Ameki Group in the south-eastern Nigeria provides a record of the sedimentary response to an initial regression, followed by marine incursion (transgression) into the Niger Delta Basin. These sedimentary successions are analogues to the subsurface petrolific Niger Delta lithostratigraphic units. Seven facies associations (FA 1 to FA 7) are documented in the study area and the sediments are interpreted as fluvial channel, tidally influenced fluvial channel, tidal channel, tidal flats, supratidal, tidal sand bar and estuarine embayment (open estuarine) deposits. The occurrence of low diversity ichnofaunal assemblages and/or localised high-density monospecific ichnofossil assemblages indicates brackish-water condition typical of estuarine settings. The suites of assemblages include Scoyenia, Skolithos, Cruziana, mixed Skolithos-Cruziana, Glossifungites, Psilonichnus and Teredolites ichnofacies. A complete depositional sequence is encountered in the Eocene Ameki Group which consists of the lowstand, transgressive, highstand and falling stage systems tracts. This depositional succession was most probably controlled by relative sea level changes, sediment supply, accommodation and regional tectonics which affected the development of Niger Delta Basin.  相似文献

Understanding the thermal distribution within the crust and rheology of the earth’s lithosphere requires the knowledge of the Depth to the Bottom of Magnetic Sources (DBMS). This depth is an important parameter in this regard, which can be derived from aeromagnetic data and can be used as a representation for temperature at depth where heat flow values can be evaluated. In this work, high-resolution aeromagnetic (HRAM) data of part of Chad Basin (covering about 80% of the entire basin), an area bounded by eastings 769,000 and 1,049,900 mE and northings 1,200,000 and 1,500,000 mN, were divided into 25 overlapping blocks and each block was analyzed using spectral fractal analysis method. The spectral analysis method was used to obtain the Depth to the Top of Magnetic Source (DTMS), centroid depth, and DBMS. From the calculated DBMS, the geothermal gradient and heat flow parameters were evaluated and the result obtained shows that DBMS varies between 18.18 and 43.64 km. Also the geothermal gradient was found to be varying between 13.29 and 31.90 °C/km and heat flow parameters vary between 33.23 and 79.76 mW/m2, respectively. The heat distribution of this area is one of the key parameters responsible for various geodynamic processes; therefore, this work is important for numerically understanding the thermal distribution in Chad Basin, Nigeria since rock rheologies depend on temperature, which is a function of depth.  相似文献

REE analyses were performed on authigenic illitic clay minerals from Late Permian mudrocks, sandstones and bentonites from the Bowen Basin (Australia). The mixed-layer illite–smectite exhibit REE patterns with an obvious fractionation of the HREE from the LREE and MREE, which is an apparent function of degree of illitization reaction. The highly illitic (R≥3) illite–smectite from the northern Bowen Basin show a depletion of LREE relative to the less illitic (R=0 and 1) clays. In contrast, an enrichment of HREE for the illite-rich clays relative to less illitic clays is evident for the southern Bowen Basin samples. The North American Shale Composite-normalized (La/Lu)sn ratios show negative correlations with the illite content in illite–smectite and positive correlations with the δ18O values of the clays for both the northern and southern Bowen Basin samples. These correlations indicate that the increasing depletion of LREE in hydrothermal fluids is a function of increasing water/rock ratios in the northern Bowen Basin. Good negative correlations between (La/Lu)sn ratios and illite content in illite–smectite from the southern Bowen Basin suggest the involvement of fluids with higher alkalinity and higher pH in low water/rock ratio conditions. Increasing HREE enrichment with δ18O decrease indicates the effect of increasing temperature at low water/rock ratios in the southern Bowen Basin.Results of the present study confirm the conclusions of some earlier studies suggesting that REE in illitic clay minerals are mobile and fractionated during illitization and that this fact should be considered in studies of sedimentary processes and in identifying provenance. Moreover, our results show that REE systematic of illitic clay minerals can be applied as an useful technique to gain information about physico-chemical conditions during thermal and fluid flow events in certain sedimentary basins.  相似文献

对珠江口盆地珠一坳陷惠州凹陷北部HZ0811井和惠陆低凸起HZ1811井中中新世-上新世的韩江组、粤海组和万山组自然伽马测井曲线进行频谱分析和小波分析, 识别出显著的米兰柯维奇沉积旋回.通过对短偏心率旋回进行高斯带通滤波, 建立了HZ0811井和HZ1811井的"浮动"天文年代标尺.两口井的万山组、粤海组和韩江组分别记录了35个、56个和64个短偏心率旋回, 据此估计出万山组沉积时限约为3.5 Ma, 粤海组沉积时限约为5.6 Ma, 韩江组沉积时限约为6.4 Ma.根据天文年代标尺计算出HZ0811井和HZ1811井韩江组-万山组的沉积速率, 结果表明沉积速率变化显示出明显的1.0 Ma和0.4 Ma的旋回性, 可能与长偏心率周期(1.0 Ma和0.4 Ma)控制的海平面变化有关.   相似文献
