2017年8月25—28日,第1届巴东国际地质灾害学术论坛暨第7次青年工程地质学术研讨会在湖北省巴东县顺利召开。第7次青年工程地质学术研讨会的主题为“滑坡稳定性评价与防治”,由中国地质大学(武汉)与中国地质学会工程地质专业委员会青年工作委员会联合承办,共有来自国内外71家单位(包括高校、科研院所和工程行业单位等)的近200位代表参会。研讨会由学术研讨和会后野外地质考察两部分组成。其中,学术研讨包括特邀报告、交流讨论和特邀专家点评3个环节。会上各位学者在自由、活跃的氛围下,围绕滑坡稳定性评价与防治研究中的热点和难点问题,深入探讨交流与互动,达到了共享新思想、发散新思维和提炼新观点的目的。同时,组委会秘书处建立了本次研讨会微信交流群,为参会代表提供了实时的线上交流平台。  相似文献

青藏铁路设计与建设——第六届国际冻土工程会议回顾   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
The 6^th International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering was successfully held in China in September 2004. About 150 scientists and engineers from 7 countries attended the symposium in Lanzhou on 5~7 September, and about 35 people from 6 countries participated in the field trip along the QinghaiTibet Highway/Railway on 8~13 September and the seminar in Lhasa on 14 September 2004. During the Symposium, the latest progress on permafrost engineering and the surveys, design and construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway were exchanged and inspected. Fifty-eight technical papers in English from the Symposium were published in the first volume of the Proceedings of the Symposium, as a supplement of the Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology, before the symposium. About 6 papers from the symposium are published in the second volume in the volume 27(1) of the Journal of the Glaciology and Geocryology, after the symposium. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway (QTR) under construction will traverse 632 km of permafrost, and the engineers are facing unprecedented engineering and environmental challenges. With the QTR under construction and to be completed in 2007, permafrost engineering has become the research focus of permafrost scientists and engineers in China. Many encouraging and promising achievements in permafrost engineering have been obtained during the past three years. However, there are still numerous engineering and environmental problems needing to be solved or resolved. In the discussions, some experts pointed out that methods, such as removal of snow cover on the embankments and toe areas, light-color embankments and side slope surfaces, awnings for shading the solar radiation, hairpin or tilted thermosyphons, could be applied to actively cool the roadbed of the QTR. Some new ideas on utilization of the natural cold reserves were proposed to protect the QTR permafrost roadbed from thawing. Many questions and answers on the survey, design, construction, operations, maintenance and environmental protection were exchanged in situ and in the Lhasa seminar with participation by some major railway designers, regulators and administrators.  相似文献

This paper is set against the backdrop of an increasingly pervasive discursive coupling of peace with development, and of extremism with underdevelopment. An evolving knowledge economy discourse casts education as both a key determinant of economic development, and as a crucial tool in the battle for “hearts and minds” in a global war against terrorism and extremism. Education for development, and education as anti-extremism are the twin goals of the Filipino CD for Peace - a contribution to the UN-backed International Power Users of ICT (Information Communication Technology) Symposium. In this paper, I examine the ways in which this youth Symposium feeds into and mobilizes powerful logics around the links between education and development/counterterrorism. My argument is that education for development, and one of its articulations, the CD for Peace, are undergirded by and reproduce neoliberal development logics in several overlapping respects. I illustrate the ways in which the language of connection and collaboration reproduces a distinct rationality related both to the transformative potential of (private investment in) ICT and to the production of particular kinds of subjectivities: youth as connected, informed, economically valuable global citizens beyond the reach of extremists. The Power Users project works to (re)construct teenagers as “gurus”; conflict (and poverty, and terrorism) becomes solvable through education and ICT. I show how knowledge economy discourse powerfully constructs youth as learning subjects who come to imagine their own roles and identities in specifically neoliberal ways: not only as learners, but also as advocates for this nexus of technology, education, development and peace.  相似文献

2016年5月6~7日,第5次全国青年工程地质学术研讨会在南京大学仙林校区顺利召开。本次研讨会是第三届工程地质专业委员会青年工作委员会成立以来组织召开的第一次围绕某一具体主题的学术会议,共有355位青年工作者参会。会议结合南京大学工程地质学科的研究特色,以“土体工程地质特性与结构”为主题,举行了20场特邀专题报告,报告内容丰富多彩,深度与广度兼备。本次研讨会是国内工程地质及相关领域青年学者开展讨论和深入交流的一次盛会,对推进青年学者之间的学术交流、加强与岩土工程等相关学科的学术纽带、锻炼青年学者的沟通组织能力、促进青年人才的成长起到了积极作用。  相似文献

第10次青年工程地质论坛于2018年9月7~9日在三峡大学顺利召开。论坛由中国地质学会工程地质专业委员会、三峡大学等单位承办,中国地质大学(武汉)等单位协办。主要围绕"水利水电工程中的工程地质与岩土工程问题"主题展开研讨,共有来自国内78家高校、科研院所和企事业单位的300余位代表参会。论坛活动由学术报告和野外考察两部分组成,其中,青年学者报告55场,研究生报告12场。各位代表围绕论坛主题,进行了热烈讨论和争鸣,气氛十分融洽。碰撞出了新的学术火花,催生出了新的学术思想。为青年工程地质论坛的不断前行和青年人才的成长,注入了新鲜血液和新动力。  相似文献

Geography is fundamentally a non-reductionist and holistic discipline. While we tend to focus on particular areas (Physical, Human, etc.), or we focus on specific successes (Quaternary studies for example) this paper argues that selling Geography though emphasizing these specific areas or strengths misses a major potential contribution our discipline can make. While most sciences have become reductionist over the last two centuries, they have recently discovered that the Earth is a “complex system” with “emergent” properties that cannot be explained through understanding the components parts individually. Many of these sciences are now contributing to a major effort called Earth System Science, an integrative super-discipline that accepts that biophysical sciences and social sciences are equally important in any attempts to understand the state, and future of the Earth System. This paper argues that the development of Earth System Sciences is a risk for Geography since it is, in effect, Geography with few Geographers. While representing a threat, the development of Earth System Science is also an opportunity. I argue that Geography could be a lead discipline among the other biophysical and social sciences that are now building Earth System Science to address key problems within the Earth System. While I am optimistic about the potential of Geography to take this leadership role, I am pessimistic about the likelihood that we will. I provide suggestions on how we might take on the leadership of Earth System Science including individual engagement and a refinement of tertiary training of some Geography students.  相似文献

In 1956, in view of the growing international disparities in rates of development, Myrdal asserted that it was risky to maintain that there had been economic progress in the last few decades for mankind as a whole. Today, after three decades of efforts to examine in greater depth the theory and practice of regional development, efforts of which the papers of the I.G.U. Commission on Regional Aspects of Development represent part, w can permit ourselves to re-examine the question which he posed. The aim of the present paper, then, is to attempt to set out the contribution of the contemporary theory of regional growth to the analysis and solution of the problems facing the developing countries. The first section reviews the important achievements of this contemporary theory, which provided the context out of which the papers of the Committee have developed. The second section analyses the contribution made by the I.G.U. Commission, while that third deals with limitations of the theory in the light of the actual situation in the developing countries.  相似文献

This paper summarizes the target areas for research which will plug gaps in knowledge concerning the windstorm hazard, and initiatives which will improve preparedness, protection and recovery. Part I refers to strategic planning aspects and Part II outlines the character of windstorm damage, the ingredients of disaster, and a research agenda.The international character of both the windstorm hazard itself as well as many of the means for mitigating this hazard give the IDNDR, through the UN, unique advantages and opportunities. Among these are: the UN's current involvement with many aspects of the wind storm problem including World Weather Watch and Disaster Relief as well as the UN's accessibility to many Third World development programmes.Many national and international, governmental, professional and research communities are already hard at work improving the understanding of the wind storm hazard and providing the knowledge base on which advances can be made. This work will continue. The IDNDR will be a catalyst in changing attitudes and in achieving objectives which would otherwise be greatly more difficult.This paper was presented to the ad hoc Committee of Experts, UN Steering Committee for International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) held in Geneva, 6 July 1988. 环境生态系统中的放射性核素既具有生态毒性,对生物和人体健康产生重要影响,又具有稳定的衰变函数和输入通量,对环境生态系统具有重要示踪价值。人类可利用放射性核素来认识环境生态系统:①环境生态系统中放射性核素的基准:放射性强度与环境生态系统之间的平衡关系;②环境生态系统中放射性核素的行为:在环境生态系统不同宿体和组分间的运移关系。考察放射性核素在生态系统不同环节中比活度的变化有助于认识环境生态过程生物地球化学作用的影响。    相似文献
