Image restoration, computerized tomography, and other similar problems are considered as a unified class of stochastic inverse problems. The conventional approach to these problems that proceeds from some integral or functional equations suffers from three main shortcomings: (i) subjectivity, (ii) inability to account for the inner (radiational) noise, and (iii) inability to include the fundamental concept of the natural limit of solution accuracy. A general approach is developed, the Statistical Parameterization of Inverse Problems (SPIPR), that takes into account both the inner and external random noise and gives an explicit form of the above-mentioned natural limit. Applications of the SPIPR to various problems show that the maximum likelihood method as the concrete way to obtain an object estimate has practically limiting efficiency.Two new fields of applications of the SPIPR are outlined along with the image restoration problem: the elimination of blurring due to atmosphere turbulence and reconstruction of an object structure in the computerized tomography. The expressions for the main distribution function in all these problems are found. The corresponding real examples and model cases are considered as well.  相似文献

We consider the estimates of the main forces acting on dust particles near a cometary nucleus. On the basis of these estimates, the motion of dust particles of different structure and mass is analyzed. We consider the following forces: (1) the cometary nucleus gravity, (2) the solar radiation pressure, and (3) the drag on dust particles by a flow of gas produced in the sublimation of cometary ice. These forces are important for modeling the motion of dust particles relative to the cometary nucleus and may substantially influence the dust transfer over its surface. In the simulations, solid silicate spheres and homogeneous ballistic aggregates are used as model particles. Moreover, we propose a technique to build hierarchic aggregates—a new model of quasi-spherical porous particles. A hierarchic type of aggregates makes it possible to model rather large dust particles, up to a millimeter in size and larger, while no important requirements for computer resources are imposed. We have shown that the properties of such particles differ from those of classical porous ballistic aggregates, which are usually considered in the cometary physics problems, and considering the microscopic structure of particles is of crucial significance for the analysis of the observational data. With the described models, we study the dust dynamics near the nucleus of comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko at an early stage of the Rosetta probe observations when the comet was approximately at 3.2 AU from the Sun. The interrelations between the main forces acting on dust aggregates at difference distances from the nucleus have been obtained. The dependence of the velocity of dust aggregates on their mass has been found. The numerical modeling results and the data of spaceborne observations with the Grain Impact Analyzer and Dust Accumulator (GIADA) and the Cometary Secondary Ion Mass Analyzer (COSIMA) onboard the Rosetta probe are compared at a quantitative level.  相似文献

The article addresses methodological aspects of a development strategy to design a launch vehicle system for orbit insertion. The development and implementation of the strategy are broadly outlined. An analysis is provided of the criterial base and input data needed to define the main requirements for the launch vehicle system. A hypothesis on the hydromagnetic nature of T Tau-type stellar activity (GERSHBERG and PETROV , 1976; GERSHBERG , 1978 b) that suggests a way of solving the main energetic problem of these stars is given in detail. In this model it is supposed that the whole surface of a T Tau-star is covered with structures similar to sunspots, and that the deficit of radiation from these dark spots is carried away by hydromagnetic waves. The assumptions on which the hypothesis rests are shown to be consistent with existing astrohysical and stellar evolutionary ideas. Several consequences of the hypothesis concerning the physical and evolutionary problems of T Tau-stars, FU Ori-type Stars, magnetic, antiflare and classical flare star are discussed. Possibilities of testing the hypothesis observationally are considered.  相似文献

This paper focuses on tenuous dust clouds of Jupiter's Galilean moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. In a companion paper (Srem?evi? et al., Planet. Space Sci. 51 (2003) 455-471) an analytical model of impact-generated ejecta dust clouds surrounding planetary satellites has been developed. The main aim of the model is to predict the asymmetries in the dust clouds which may arise from the orbital motion of the parent body through a field of impactors. The Galileo dust detector data from flybys at Europa, Ganymede and Callisto are compatible with the model, assuming projectiles to be interplanetary micrometeoroids. The analysis of the data suggests that two interplanetary impactor populations are most likely the source of the measured dust clouds: impactors with isotropically distributed velocities and micrometeoroids in retrograde orbits. Other impactor populations, namely those originating in the Jovian system, or interplanetary projectiles with low orbital eccentricities and inclinations, or interstellar stream particles, can be ruled out by the statistical analysis of the data. The data analysis also suggests that the mean ejecta velocity angle to the normal at the satellite surface is around 30°, which is in agreement with laboratory studies of the hypervelocity impacts.  相似文献

The comet 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 is an exceptional comet as far as cometary outbursts are concerned. Despite its large distance from the Sun (about 6 au), it shows quasi-regular outburst activity, usually once or twice a year. Up to now there has not been a generally accepted model that explains this phenomenon. In the first part of this paper, the most well-known hypotheses that attempt to explain the outburst activity of this comet are presented and critically analysed. The main aim of this paper is to present a model for the outburst activity of this comet. The model is based on the global analysis of the internal structure and physical and chemical processes that take place in the cometary nucleus. Numerical calculations were carried out for reasonable assumed values of a large range of cometary characteristics. The obtained results are consistent with observational data.  相似文献

Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs) are Solar system special class objects attracting the attention of astronomical community especially during several of the last decades. To some extent the NEAs have an advantage over the minor planets of the main belt: due to close and regular approaches to the Earth the radar observations of NEAs can be obtained for the greater number of objects than for those of the main belt of the minor planets. In this paper the use of all available radar observations together with optical ones resulting in the combined data analysis solution is discussed for different problems such as the asteroid orbits and catalog orientation parameters determination. In particular the problem of the motion of the dynamical equinox in the Hipparcos reference system is considered. About 13000 radar and optical observations of 24 NEAs and main belt minor planets have been used to obtain the precise asteroid orbits, FK5 catalogue orientation parameters and the motion of the dynamical equinox from 1750 till 2000 in the Hipparcos system.  相似文献

The Phobos-Soil project, based on a new generation of spacecraft, is aimed at the study of Phobos, one of the Martian moons. The main goal of the project is to bring soil samples from the surface of Phobos to the Earth for a scrutinized analysis of the relic matter collected on one of the Solar System’s minor bodies. The project is considered to be a step in the long-scale extensive quest for data on planets, comets, asteroids, and solving a vast number of other theoretical and applied problems.  相似文献

We studied the propagation of uncertainties carried by the reaction rate coefficients in the photochemistry of Neptune's stratosphere. We showed that the uncertainties on the mole fractions of main hydrocarbons are equal to or larger than the estimated uncertainties on abundances gathered from observations. From a global sensitivity analysis study, we determined a list of 26 key reactions and discussed the 7 main key reactions that should be studied in priority to lower the uncertainties in the mole fractions computed from a photochemical model. This methodology is essential to improve the predictivity of photochemical models and, consequently, to better understand the physical and chemical processes that govern the composition of giant planet atmospheres.  相似文献

This article discusses statistical models for the solar flare interval distribution in individual active regions. We analyzed solar flare data in 55 active regions that are listed in the Geosynchronous Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) soft X-ray flare catalog for the years from 1981 to 2005. We discuss some problems with a conventional procedure to derive probability density functions from any data set and propose a new procedure, which uses the maximum likelihood method and Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) to objectively compare some competing probability density functions. Previous studies of the solar flare interval distribution in individual active regions only dealt with constant or time-dependent Poisson process models, and no other models were discussed. We examine three models – exponential, lognormal, and inverse Gaussian – as competing models for probability density functions in this study. We found that lognormal and inverse Gaussian models are more likely models than the exponential model for the solar flare interval distribution in individual active regions. The possible solar flare mechanisms for the distribution models are briefly mentioned. We also briefly investigated the time dependence of probability density functions of the solar flare interval distribution and found that some active regions show time dependence for lognormal and inverse Gaussian distribution functions. The results suggest that solar flares do not occur randomly in time; rather, solar flare intervals appear to be regulated by solar flare mechanisms. Determining a solar flare interval distribution is an essential step in probabilistic solar flare forecasting methods in space weather research. We briefly mention a probabilistic solar flare forecasting method as an application of a solar flare interval distribution analysis. The application of our distribution analysis to a probabilistic solar flare forecasting method is one of the main objectives of this study.  相似文献

We present an improved grid search method for the global computation of periodic orbits in model problems of Dynamics, and the classification of these orbits into families. The method concerns symmetric periodic orbits in problems of two degrees of freedom with a conserved quantity, and is applied here to problems of Celestial Mechanics. It consists of two main phases; a global sampling technique in a two-dimensional space of initial conditions and a data processing procedure for the classification (clustering) of the periodic orbits into families characterized by continuous evolution of the orbital parameters of member orbits. The method is tested by using it to recompute known results. It is then applied with advantage to the determination of the branch families of the family f of retrograde satellites in Hill’s Lunar problem, and to the determination of irregular families of periodic orbits in a perturbed Hill problem, a species of families which are difficult to find by continuation methods.   相似文献

The problems encountered in the derivation of elements from the light curves of very close binary systems are discussed. It is shown that the rectification procedure is critically dependent on the underlying model. The assumption of a contact configuration leads to better coincidence of theoretical and observed light curves. Bulk chondrule compositions are important to many questions in cosmochemistry, however, the number of available bulk chondrule data sets is still small. A main reason for this is the difficulties of determining bulk chondrule compositions. A commonly used technique is to obtain 2D bulk chondrule compositions from meteorite sections. This technique has an error that we quantify here for the first time using a mathematical model of a chondrule called SIMCHON. The theoretically calculated errors are compared to errors that we determined from serial sectioning of eight Efremovka chondrules. The errors obtained from both approaches are in excellent agreement, proving that our mathematical model produces reliable errors that can be assigned to 2D bulk chondrule compositions. These errors allow a much better interpretation of 2D bulk chondrule data. We provide a table that contains typical errors for 2D bulk compositions of porphyritic chondrules. The errors are in the range of ±<1–30 relative‐%. This should be acceptable for many problems in cosmochemistry. The effect of a chemical layering inside chondrules and the occurrence of a rim around them, as well as the occurrence of opaque and other accessory phases have been studied. A spreadsheet is provided that enables the calculation of errors for any desired chondrule mineral composition. BO chondrules have a negligible error, but it is impossible to provide reasonable error estimates for BO chondrules with an igneous rim. Radial pyroxene chondrules have negligible errors.  相似文献

Despite recent progress in the modeling of alkali atmospheres like those around the Moon and Mercury, many problems still exist. It is proposed that Rydberg Matter (RM) clusters containing Na and K atoms are the main part of the alkali atmospheres of the Moon and Mercury, forming large clouds. RM clusters are studied in the laboratory with laser fragmentation and laser spectroscopy methods. Due to the very large collision cross sections of Rydberg atoms and RM clusters, the atmospheres are not collision free, as normally assumed based on the low densities of free alkali atoms. The non-escaping radial density variation for the Na atoms, observed, e.g., on the Moon, and the Maxwellian velocity distributions observed on Mercury are caused by a true atmosphere with collisional equilibration; this process is not possible in an exosphere. Fast alkali atoms are released from the RM clusters already at large heights by solar photons and charged particle impact. The kinetic temperatures derived for the atmospheres agree with the quantized energy release. The cluster model predicts that the rate of loss from the surface is much smaller than for a purely atomic model, since the transient storage is in the RM cluster form in the atmosphere and not at the surface. The conductance of the atmosphere is of the order of 100 S due to the facile collisional ionization of the RM clusters. The apparent depletion of K in the atmosphere of Mercury is explained.  相似文献

建立时间尺度是时间测量的目的之一.实时原子时则要求对时间尺度进行必要的预测.小波分析是近年来迅速发展起来的一门学科,它可以对信号在不同的分辨率下进行分析,凡是传统的Fourier分析可以应用的地方,小波分析都可以得到应用.基于小波分析建立了一种时间尺度分域递推模型,这种方法既不同于ARMA(p,q)模型,又有别于卡尔曼滤波方法.ARMA模型要求过程是平稳随机的,而卡尔曼滤波方法虽然不要求过程是平稳的,但它预测的精度有限.分城递推模型将信号在不同的频率尺度进行正交分解,在各个尺度上对小波变换系数进行建模.最后根据陕西天文台守时实验室的实测数据,验证了分域递推模型,ARMA模型一步预测误差10ns,而分域递推模型五步预测误差平均为4.5ns.结果表明这种方法简单而切实可行,分域递推模型的预测精度优于其它方法.  相似文献
