分析了与日冕物质抛射(CME)有关的太阳微波爆发(SMB)的特征,包括持 续时间、峰值流量、爆发类型、谱指数等.选取了从1999年11月至2003年9月的136 个事件,包括60个部分晕状CME(120°<宽度<360°)/晕状CME(宽度=360°)和 76个正常CME(20°<宽度<120°)/窄CME(0°<宽度<20°). 研究发现: (1)与正常CME/窄CME有关的微波爆发持续时间较短,与部分晕状 /晕状CME有关的微波爆发持续时间有长有短; (2)与慢CME有关的微波爆发持续时 间较短,与快CME有关的微波爆发持续时间可长可短;(3)与正常/窄CME有关的微 波爆发峰值辐射流量比较小,与部分晕状/晕状CME有关的微波爆发峰值辐射流量有大 有小;(4)与慢CME有关的微波爆发峰值辐射流量较小,与快CME有关的微波爆发峰 值辐射流量可长可短; (5)与正常/窄CME有关的微波爆发绝大多数为简单(simple) 型,与晕状CME有关的微波爆发绝大多数为复杂(C)/大爆发(GB)型; (6)与CME 有关的事件在频率,f相似文献

We discuss the possible contribution of the thermal cyclotron radiation from hot coronal magnetic loops to the observed characteristics of the microwave emission from solar active regions. Based on the simplest three-dimensional model of a loop in the shape of a hot torus, we have calculated the expected peculiarities of the frequency and polarization structures of microwave emission sources associated with sunspots and containing coronal loops. Our model calculations of the two-dimensional brightness temperature distributions at various wavelengths for the ordinary and extraordinary modes and the wavelength dependences of the brightness temperatures are presented in the first part of the work. The loop size, the electron density, and the source position on the disk have been found to affect these characteristics. Our numerical calculations of the brightness temperature distributions and spectra have confirmed the well-known assumption that under certain conditions the spectrum of a hot filament can contain cyclotron lines and the sense of the polarization can change over the range. The results obtained here refer to the brightness temperature along the line of sight that crosses the photosphere at a point with given coordinates, i.e., these are the emission characteristics at a fixed point of the source. Integrated characteristics (the flux from the entire source and its polarization) and a discussion of the hot loop model will be given in the second part of the work.  相似文献

We present our calculations of the expected characteristics of the integrated spectrum of thermal cyclotron radiation from a solar active region with a coronal magnetic loop. A hot torus is considered as a three-dimensional loop model. We show that the hot-loop emission can change appreciably the emission characteristics of the active region at centimeter and decimeter wavelengths. At certain loop parameters, the emission frequency spectrum can have a nonmonotonic and complex pattern with several peaks or contain narrow-band cyclotron lines. The polarization structure of the source with a hot loop is also complex and the polarization is repeatedly reversed over the observed frequency range under certain conditions. The revealed spectral-polarization peculiarities are considered from the standpoint of whether some atypical observed properties of the emission sources associated with solar active regions can be explained.  相似文献

We consider the damping mechanisms for the radial oscillations of solar coronal loops in the approximation of a thin magnetic flux tube. We show that the free tube oscillations can have a high Q if the plasma density inside the magnetic flux tube is much higher than the density outside. We analyze the effect of radial coronal-loop magnetic-field oscillations on the modulation of the microwave radiation from solar flares. In the case of a nonthermal gyrosynchrotron mechanism, the fluxes from optically thin and optically thick sources are modulated in antiphase. Based on our model, we diagnose the flare plasma. For the event of May 23, 1990, we estimate the spectral index for accelerated electrons, α≈4.4, and the magnetic-field strength in the region of energy release, B≈190 G.  相似文献

When coronal mass ejections (CMEs) interact with the solar corona and the interplanetary medium, emissions at different wavelengths occur. On the basis of study of the various radiation mechanisms of space plasma in the case of absence of CMEs, the radio radiation mechanisms of the plasma close to the Lagrange point L1 and affected by large CMEs from February to August 1999 are statistically analyzed. As shown by the results, the main radiation mechanisms are the Bremsstrahlung, a small amount of cyclotron radiation and a still weaker recombination radiation. Also, solar microwave bursts which are associated with CMEs in the same period are investigated. The results show that the microwave bursts are of the gradual type as well as spike bursts, and that the chief radiation mechanisms are the Bremsstrahlung, cyclotron resonance radiation, plasma radiation and electronic cyclotron maser radiation.  相似文献

The dynamics of two counter-streaming electron–positron–ion unmagnetized plasma shells with zero net charge is analysed in the context of magnetic field generation in gamma-ray burst internal shocks due to the Weibel instability. The effects of large thermal motion of plasma particles, arbitrary mixture of plasma species and space charge effects are taken into account. We show that, although thermal effects slow down the instability, baryon loading leads to a non-negligible growth rate even for large temperatures and different shell velocities, thus guaranteeing the robustness and the occurrence of the Weibel instability for a wide range of scenarios.  相似文献

The observations of a microwave burst with multiple impulses on 1993 Oct 2, 073940–074100 UT are analysed. This event consists of multiple impulses superimposed on a slowly varying burst background. Our formula for coronal magnetic field diagnostics was used here for the first time to derive the field strength and information on the energetic electrons. The results are: 1) The mean spectral index of the impulsive component in the optically thin part is less than that of the slow background by 1 (a harder spectrum). The mean brightness temperature at 19.6 GHz of the former is 6 times that of the latter. 2) The mean magnetic strengths of the impulse and slow burst regions are 158 G and 531 G, respectively. The time variation in the slow burst region is saddle-shaped, being 50% lower in the middle than at the beginning and end. 3) The column density NL and number density N of energetic electrons in the impulsive component are 4% and 8% of those of the slow component, but the energy flux and emission coefficient are 100% and 800% greater. The two components appear to be produced by two different electron groups with different energy distributions in two different regions.  相似文献

We treat the phenomenon of a γ -ray burst as the non-linear collapse of a magnetic cavity surrounding a neutron star with extremely large magnetic field B ∼1015–1016 G due to the process of bubble shape instability in the resonant MHD field of an accreting plasma or on a neutron star surface. The QED effect of vacuum polarizability by a strong magnetic field is taken into a consideration. We develop an analogy with the phenomenon of sonoluminescence in which the gas bubble is located in a surrounding liquid with a driven sound intensity.  相似文献

A statistical analysis of decimetric radio bursts (RBs), X-ray flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) is carried out. We consider all radio bursts recorded by the Cracow Solar Radio Telescope from the beginning of 1996 until the end of 2004. It is found that the decimetric radio bursts are associated and strongly correlated with X-ray flares. Correlation coefficients between RBs durations and the maximal fluxes of the radio bursts and flares are found to be 0.60 and 0.87, respectively. We also demonstrated that a significant population of the decimetric radio bursts are associated with CMEs. The correlation coefficient between the maximal radio flux density multiplied by the duration of the RBs versus velocity multiplied by width of CMEs is found to be 0.55.  相似文献

We use an innovative research technique to analyze combined images from the Coronal Diagnostic Spectrometer (CDS) on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and the Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE). We produce a high spatial and temporal resolution simulated CDS raster or “composite” map from TRACE data and use this composite map to jointly analyze data from both instruments. We show some of the advantages of using the “composite” map method for coronal loop studies. We investigate two postflare loop structures. We find cool material (250 000 K) concentrated at the tips or apex of the loops. This material is found to be above its scale height and therefore not in hydrostatic equilibrium. The exposure times of the composite map and TRACE images are used to give an estimate of another loop’s cooling time. The contribution to the emission in the TRACE images for the spectral lines present in its narrow passband is estimated by using the CDS spectral data and CHIANTI to derive synthetic spectra. We obtain cospatial and cotemporal data collected by both instruments in SOHO Joint Observations Program (JOP) 146 and show how the combination of these data can be utilized to obtain more accurate measurements of coronal plasmas than if analyzed individually. In the present paper we report on the difference in angular sizes between radio-loud and radio-quiet CMEs. For this purpose we compiled these two samples of events using Wind/WAVES and SOHO/LASCO observations obtained during 1996 – 2005. We show that the radio-loud CMEs are almost twice as wide as the radio-quiet CMEs (considering expanding parts of CMEs). Furthermore, we show that the radio-quiet CMEs have a narrow expanding bright part with a large extended diffusive structure. These results were obtained by measuring the CME widths in three different ways.  相似文献

Halo coronal mass ejections (HCMEs) originating from regions close to the center of the Sun are likely to be responsible for severe geomagnetic storms. It is important to predict geoeffectiveness of HCMEs by using observations when they are still near the Sun. Unfortunately, coronagraphic observations do not provide true speeds of CMEs because of projection effects. In the present paper, we present a new technique to allow estimates of the space speed and approximate source location using projected speeds measured at different position angles for a given HCME (velocity asymmetry). We apply this technique to HCMEs observed during 2001 – 2002 and find that the improved speeds are better correlated with the travel times of HCMEs to Earth and with the magnitudes of ensuing geomagnetic storms.  相似文献

We propose a model of two acceleration regions, which can explain, on the basis of microwave maser caused by a “hollow-beam” distribution of electrons, the presence of millisecond spikes in the event of 1981 May 16 and their absence in the event of 1981 October 12, and the enhanced continuous emission in the latter. We have also uncovered relations among the features, e.g. the Type IIIG, Type IVDCIM and hard x-ray bursts, that accompany the microwave millisecond spikes during the impulsive phase of a large flare.  相似文献
