数值模式与统计模型相耦合的近岸海浪预报方法   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
针对数值模式和统计模型预报近岸海浪存在的局限性,构建了数值模式和统计模型相耦合的近岸海浪预报框架,在模式计算格点和近岸预报目标点之间定义一个海浪能量密度谱传递系数,通过经验正交函数分解和卡尔曼滤波方法建立传递系数的统计预报模型并与数值模式进行耦合。经过对近岸波浪观测站1a的预报试验表明:该方法能够提高近岸海浪有效波高预报精度,有效波高的均方根误差降低了约0.16m,平均相对误差降低约9%。进一步试验和分析发现,该方法的预报有效时间小于24h,将海浪能量密度谱经过分解后得到的基本模态反映了近岸波侯的主要特征,海浪能量密度谱传递系数的变化体现了波侯的季节变化特点。  相似文献

The influence that cool skin has on the energy exchange between the atmosphere and the ocean is investigated in this work. For this purpose, a series of numerical experiments with the use of the one-dimensional LAKE model of a water body were performed. Three types of cold-skin parameterization were used in this model. The data of in situ measurements in the coastal zone of the Black Sea, in the Arctic Ocean, and over Lake Sparkling served as the boundary and initial conditions. It has been established from the results of experiments that the LAKE model with the incorporated parameterization of the cool skin successfully reproduces cold-skin characteristics, namely, the difference between the temperature of the cool skin surface and the water temperature below the skin. The results of numerical experiments are within the variability of the results of in situ measurements. It has been shown that the presence of a cool skin reduces the heat losses of a body of water. The numerical experiments showed that the presence of a cool skin can change the thermal regime of a water body and its stratification by changing the heat balance at the surface. This result can be important for the modeling of many processes inside a body of water and at its surface, for example, gas and heat exchange.  相似文献

Impact pressures from random waves on the underside of a wharf deck were measured in a laboratory wave channel. Three different types of shore connecting structures were considered: open-piled, permeable slope and impermeable slope wharves. The experiments were carried out with significant wave heights ranging from 10 cm to 20 cm, spectral peak periods ranging from 1.0 s to 2.0 s, and the relative clearance of the model with respect to significant wave heights ranging from 0.1 to 0.4. The characteristics of the wave impact pressures for different shore connecting conditions are investigated, and their statistical distributions along the underside of the models are also determined. Experimental results indicate that the impact pressures depend on parameters such as the significant wave height, the spectral peak period, and the relative length and clearance of the model.  相似文献

All numerical models are imperfect. Weak constraint variational data assimilation ( VDA ), which provides a treatment of the modelling errors, is studied; building on the approach of Vidard et al. (Tellus, 56 A, pp. 177–188, 2004). The evolution of model error ( ME ) is modelled using ordinary differential equations, which involve a scalar parameter. These approaches were tested using different high-resolution advection schemes. The first set of experiments were constructed to see if it is possible to account for (numerical) discretization error within such a framework. In other set of experiments, a systematic source of modelling error was introduced by deliberately specifying an incorrect value for the Coriolis parameter in the model. Results with observational state at half of the model state resolution, are also presented. We also discuss a method of estimating the scalar parameter in the ME through VDA . In all cases, the inclusion of ME provides reduction in forecasting errors. Also, our experiments indicate that different settings of the model (e.g. using different high-resolution advection schemes) would need different ME formulation. Results presented in this paper could be used to formulate sophisticated ME forms to account for systematic errors in higher dimensional models with complex advection schemes.  相似文献

This paper describes a numerical approach to model the dynamic response of a pneumatic floating platform, and the laboratory experiments and parametric study to verify the numerical results. The pneumatic platform is composed of an array of open-bottom vertical cylinders trapping pressurized air that displaces the water. The cylinder diameter is assumed to be small compared to the wavelength and the water inside each cylinder oscillates as a piston. These assumptions simplify the mathematical formulation in that the bottom of the platform can be treated as a continuous surface on which the source distribution method can be applied. In the laboratory experiments, the compressibility and displacement of the trapped air are modeled by a spring and float assembly. The comparison between the numerical and experimental results indicates favorable agreement. The oscillation of the water columns and the overall dynamic characteristics of the platform are illustrated and discussed in the parametric study.  相似文献

基于计算流体力学(CFD)数值模拟和物理模型试验结合的方式,开展涵洞式直立堤在波浪作用下的水体交换研究。CFD数值模拟采用VPM (volume-average/point-value method)-THINC (tangent of hyperbola for interface capturing)/QQ (quadratic surface representation and Gaussian quadrature)模型,并在此基础上提出一种能够标记涵洞内外水体变化的双液相流体体积模型(VOF)方法,定性及定量描述涵洞内外水体的交换特性;物理模型试验主要用来验证数值模型的准确性。研究表明,在波浪的作用下,涵洞内部会形成一股往复振荡的水流,对水体交换起到重要的作用。该振荡流主要受到涵洞高度、波浪周期以及波高的影响,涵洞深度对其影响不大。在波浪长时间的作用下,涵洞式直立堤能有效地增强港池内外水体交换。  相似文献

This paper describes an approach to simulate a seven-tier stack consisting of scaled model of a 20 ft ISO freight container and its linking connectors, denominated twist locks, subjected to dynamical load induced by its base. The physical (dimensions, mass, and moments of inertia) and structural (longitudinal, transversal and torsional stiffness) characteristics of the scaled models were decided based on two dimensionless numbers: ratios between gravity force and inertia force, and elastic force divided by inertia force, through experimental and numerical analysis. A series of experiments with controlled parameters were performed using a shaking table test to understand the effects of each variable in the container stack dynamics and present enough data to validate the numerical model. The results of this study indicate that the numerical model built is a promising tool for further study. Moreover, the model is able to predict conditions close to real situations faced by container stacks while storage on a ship's deck.  相似文献

This paper deals with numerical experiments based on the coupled ECHAM-HOPE model. The results of experiments are analyzed. The initial fields for the calculations over time periods from one month to one year are constructed based on the results of the data assimilation of temperature profiles from TOGA-TAO moorings. The perturbations of the initial fields and the propagation of these perturbations with specific computational time intervals are analyzed on the basis of the results of these experiments. It is shown that the strongest impacts of the perturbations are localized in specific regions of the World Ocean corresponding to the energetically active zones of the Earth. The mechanism of the transition of these perturbations is also studied. Different statistical properties of the ensemble of experiments are presented.  相似文献

针对长江河口地形、水文、泥沙运动等复杂的特点,建立了波-流共同作用下的二维全沙及河床演变模型.在合理计算研究区域流场等的基础上,利用切应力概念确定悬沙扩散方程中的源函数;通过系列数值试验和实测资料的统计分析,在经典的泥沙临界起动速度中引入反映河床底质结构及固结程度的局地系数;选用由流速、盐度、含沙量浓度确定的泥沙颗粒絮凝沉降速度,从而提高长江口悬沙场数值模拟精度.在底沙输运计算中,提出一种较为合理确定有关参数的方法.通过洪、枯季大、中、小潮水文、泥沙资料和典型台风引起航槽冲淤变化的实测资料验证,表明该文提出的模型能较合理地反映长江河口流场、泥沙场及地形的演变.  相似文献

The paper describes results of numerical experiments on the simulation of a mesoscale quasi-tropical cyclone, a rare event for the Black Sea, with the MM5 regional atmospheric circulation model. General characteristics of the cyclone and its evolution and physical formation mechanisms are discussed. The balances of the momentum components have been estimated, and sensitivity experiments have been performed. It is shown that, according to its main physical properties and energy supply mechanisms, the cyclone can be related to quasi-tropical cyclones.  相似文献

We propose an improvement of the algorithm of joint assimilation of the data on climatic temperature, salinity, and altimetric sea level in a model of circulation. Unlike the previous works, the variances of the forecast errors of temperature and salinity and the cross-covariance functions of of the forecast errors of salinity-level and temperature-level depend on the dynamics of waters. It is shown that the structure of the fields of cross-covariance functions in the upper mixed layer is formed by the vertical turbulent diffusion of the variances of forecast errors of temperature and salinity. At greater depths, these statistical characteristics are mainly determined by the vertical advection. We compared the results of calculations with and without taking into account the dynamics of the statistical characteristics. The analysis of the influence of the dynamics of these characteristics makes it possible to reconstruct the mutually adapted climatic fields of temperature, salinity, and horizontal and vertical current velocities in the Black Sea with the assimilation of data in the numerical model in each time step. 在波浪水槽中采用格栅振动的方式产生湍流,研究振动格栅产生湍流的特征。本文开展了4类实验,调节测量点到格栅平均位置的距离、格栅振动频率、振动冲程,采用ADV测量水体中单点的脉动速度。实验结果显示,湍流强度在一定范围内随离格栅距离的增大而逐渐减小,随着振动频率的增大而呈幂指数增大,随着振动冲程的增大而呈幂指数增大。同时还比较了两个不同格栅产生湍流的不同。结果显示,在波浪水槽中,振动格栅产生湍流的强度还与格栅的长度尺寸有关,这与在水箱中振动格栅产生湍流的特征不同。  相似文献

The characteristics of turbulence created by a plunging breaker on a 1 on 35 plane slope have been studied experimentally in a two-dimensional wave tank. The experiments involved detailed measurements of fluid velocities below trough level and water surface elevations in the surf zone using a fibre-optic laser-Doppler anemometer and a capacitance wave gage. The dynamical role of turbulence is examined making use of the transport equation for turbulent kinetic energy (the k-equation). The results show that turbulence under a plunging breaker is dominated by large-scale motions and has certain unique features that are associated with its wave condition. It was found that the nature of turbulence transport in the inner surf zone depends on a particular wave condition and it is not similar for different types of breakers. Turbulent kinetic energy is transported landward under a plunging breaker and dissipated within one wave cycle. This is different from spilling breakers where turbulent kinetic energy is transported seaward and the dissipation rate is much slower. The analysis of the k-equation shows that advective and diffusive transport of turbulence play a major role in the distribution of turbulence under a plunging breaker, while production and dissipation are not in local equilibrium but are of the same order of magnitude. Based on certain approximate analytical approaches and experimental measurements it is shown that turbulence production and viscous dissipation below trough level amount to only a small portion of the wave energy loss caused by wave breaking. It is suggested that the onshore sediment transport produced by swell waves may be tied in a direct way to the unique characteristics of turbulent flows in these waves.  相似文献

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) numerical analysis was employed to analyze the situations tested experimentally, as described in Part I. The methodology and results of the CFD analyses are discussed and compared with the observations made from the experiments. The numerical model performed satisfactorily with regard to obtaining the impact forces exerted on the model pipe as well as simulating the hydroplaning phenomenon and estimating slurry flow heights. The experimental results were combined with the results of the CFD analyses to develop a practical method to compute the drag force caused by a submarine debris flow impact on a pipeline. The CFD analyses provided some insight to the separated region characterization, but the attempt to analyze the vortex shedding phenomenon as observed in the experiments was unsuccessful. Additional studies are required for better understanding of both the separated region characteristics and vortex shedding.  相似文献

Dissipation rate measurements in the northern North Sea from two independent observations are compared with various numerical models. The turbulence was characterised by tidal forcing in the bottom boundary layer and atmospheric forcing in the surface boundary layer. The observations were carried out by using free-falling profilers equipped with shear probes and fast CTD sensors. The models are based on Reynolds averaging and range from simple one-equation models to two-equation models with algebraic second-moment closures. Several error measures are applied for comparison of observations and model results. It is shown that the differences between the two observations are significantly larger than the equivalent measures between the model results. This is caused by the stochastic character of turbulent microstructure in connection with under-sampling, but also by the distance between the two observational sites, the movements of the vessels, instrument errors and so forth. The models on the other hand, although closed on different levels, are all based on the same assumptions and driven by the same external forcing, thus showing only relatively small differences between each other.  相似文献

海洋湍流因具有随机性特点,目前多采用统计学理论进行研究,因此需要获取大量的湍流观测数据,这给湍流观测设备的数据存储和传输带来挑战。针对上述问题,本文在分析海洋湍流数据特征的基础上,提出了一种高效实时的无损数据压缩方法。以大量的湍流数据增量信息作为数据源构建霍夫曼编码表,并以此作为湍流压缩和解压的字典,从而提高了压缩效率。通过对历史海洋湍流数据进行压缩实验,证明该方法的湍流数据压缩比低至25%,并且具有压缩速度快、处理器占用率低等特点。  相似文献

水下移动平台行动时需要1~3个月左右海洋数值预测预报结果,但是当前数值预报技术受对应的气象驱动场预报时效的限制,难以提供10 d以上的数值预报产品。鉴于海水在动力热力上具有较大的惯性,海洋内区有其自身的演化规律,本研究设计了一种基于演化算符的统计预测方法,利用历史卫星遥感资料构建海洋状态变量中长期演化矩阵,并结合惯性预报模型,构建了最终的南海海洋中长期统计预报模型,能够提供1~60 d逐日的南海海面高度异常预测结果,开展数值试验验证了该方法的有效性,结果表明,在起报后15 d内,预报结果与卫星资料的相关系数均大于0.8,在起报60 d内,相关系数仍高于0.6。  相似文献
