Summary In this note, the problem of disturbances has been investigated in two perfectly (electrically) conductive media-an ideal liquid and a viscoelastic solid of three-parameter type-acted upon by a magnetic field. The electromagnetic equations of Maxwell and the equations of mechanical motion together with the stress-strain relation of the viscoelastic material of three-parameter type have been used to work out the problem. Summary Proceeding from the equations of electromagnetism (Maxwell) and those of mechanical motions, this investigation has been carried in a layered media, comprising of a liquid and a solid (Fener type) layers to determine the mechanical deformation. The present paper is concerned with the propagation of shear waves in a homogeneous viscoelastic isotropic layer lying over
a semi-infinite heterogeneous viscoelastic isotropic half-space due to point source. The inhomogeneity parameters associated
to rigidity, internal friction and density are assumed to be functions of depth. The dispersion equation of shear waves has
been obtained using Green’s function technique. The dimensionless angular frequency has been plotted against dimensionless
wave number for different values of inhomogeneity parameters. The effects of inhomogeneity have been shown in the dispersion
curves. graphical user interface (GUI) software in MATLAB has been developed to show the effect of various inhomogeneity parameters
on angular frequency. The topic can be of interest for geophysical applications in propagation of shear waves on the Earth’s

文采用球坐标下2.5维理想MHD模型,对日球子午面内方位磁场扰动的传播进行数值模拟,重点分析它对行星际磁场螺旋角的影响. 本文认为,观测到的行星际磁场螺旋角大于Parker模型的预言值,是太阳表面不断向行星际发出同向方位磁场扰动的结果;太阳较差自转在太阳内部产生的方位磁场为这类扰动提供了源头. 模拟结果表明,采用持续时间等于周期的十分之一、扰动幅度为103nT量级的正向方位磁场扰动,就可使1 AU处行星际磁场的螺旋角增加2°左右,与有关观测结果相符. 模拟结果还表明,上述方位磁场扰动对日球子午面内的太阳风特性和磁场位形的影响基本上可以忽略. 相似文献

Summary The present note makes use of electromagnetic equations of Maxwell and those of mechanical motions to work out the problem of disturbances in two perfectly conductive media—an ideal liquid and a perfectly elastic solid-acted upon by a magnetic field perpendicular to their plane of contact. The displacement suffered by solid medium has been determined when a tangential force, exponentially decaying with time, acts in the plane of contact of the two media.
