Questions of the propagation velocity, polarization, and generation of a weak gravitational wave are considered. Various representations of the Jordan-Brans-Dicke (JBD) theory arising in conformal transformations of the metric are considered. Propositions are formulated that establish the mathematical equivalence of these representations, making it possible from known exact solutions in one representation to generate new ones in another. It is shown, in particular, how to obtain new solutions in the general theory of relativity from known solutions in the JBD theory and vice versa.  相似文献

Field equations in a scalar-tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saezand Ballester (1985) are obtained with the aid of (i) Friedmann-type metric (ii) a non static plane symmetric metric and (iii) spatially homogeneous Bianchi type – III metric. Some cosmological models corresponding to perfect fluid and bulk viscous fluid are presented. Physical and kinematical properties of the models are also discussed. The problem of stationary axisymmetric gravitational fields is formulated within the framework of Generalized Theory of Gravitation. It is shown that solutions of the problem mentioned above may be found, if analogous solutions in General Relativity are obtained. As an illustration a Kerr-like solution is offered. A generation theorem for finding magnetostatic solution from stationary vacuum solutions is proposed.  相似文献

The 1-post-Newtonian approximation of perfect fluid in cosmological models of the theory of gravitation in flat space-time is studied. The equations of motion are given in evolution form. At high redshifts the terms of post-Newtonian approximation are important in studying the development of inhomogeneities on scales smaller than galaxies but at present time these terms only take effect on very large scales. A five dimensional Kaluza-Klein dark energy model with variable EoS parameter is investigated in the scale co-variant theory of gravitation proposed by Canuto et al. (in Phys. Rev. 39:429, 1977) in a five dimensional Kaluza-Klein space-time in the presence of perfect fluid source. Using the special law of variation for Hubble’s parameter proposed by Berman (in Nuovo Cimento B 74:183, 1983), we have obtained a determinate solution which represents a dark energy cosmological model in the theory. We have also used the result that the scalar expansion is proportional to shear scalar of the space-time. It is observed that the EoS parameter, skewness parameter in the model turn out to be functions of cosmic time. Some physical and Kinematical properties of the model are also discussed.  相似文献

Spatially-homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-III, V, VI0 cosmological models in Rosen's (1973) bimetric theory of gravitation are considered. It is shown that, in each case, when the soure of the gravitation field is a perfect fluid distribution Bianchi type cosmological models do not exist. Hence vacuum models are presented and studied. Quantum theory in Robertson – Walker spacetime suggests the existence of a minimal energy ε of the order of 10−45 erg. Reasonable forms for ε give the expansion factor R=R(t)(t= the cosmic time) with no need of gravitational field equations.Einstein's theory should be modified in gravitational fields of strength less than ε c/ħ ∼ 10−8 cm/s2 where c is the speed of light and ħ is the reduced Planck constant. The cosmological term λ is expected to decrease as the universe expands.In the Appendix, ε is derived from a big bang – big crunch Newtonian cosmology.  相似文献
