RESOURCESAT-1 satellite was launched in October of 2003. Since then it has been consistently providing high quality 5 m monochromatic and multispectral images of same resolution. LISS-4 MX sensor has complex acquisition geometry. It operates in three spectral bands imaged by 3 CCD arrays, which are separated by a finite time in imaging along the satellite track direction. Individual band data is acquired at different times while the satellite is driven by a pre-determined yaw profile. In addition, the odd–even pixels are too shifted by a small fixed delay in time. A unique challenge in LISS-4 MX Level-2 data processing sub-system is to autonomously rectify and additionally co-register the three bands data because of the influence of orbit and attitude in the time gap in the imaging sequence. In this paper, authors bring out details of in-flight calibration arrived for LISS-4 MX sensor. It addresses parameterization of co-registration problem by doing sensitivity analysis of the geometric model parameters to achieve co-registration among all bands. This approach can also be used for other sensor system having similar imaging geometry to achieve improved image co-registration among bands.  相似文献

城区高空间分辨率遥感数据由于存在大量同物异谱和异物同谱现象,应用传统的基于像元光谱分类的方法进行建筑物分类提取难以取得满意的效果。本文发展了一种从高分辨率Ikonos卫星影像上基于知识规则的面向对象分类提取城区建筑物方法,包括如下步骤:(1)融合1m全色和4m多光谱波段影像,生成1m分辨率的多光谱融合影像;(2)分割融合影像;(3)执行基于对象光谱的最近邻监督分类;(4)应用模糊逻辑分类器结合光谱、空间、纹理和上下文特征等知识规则进行建筑物分类。精度统计结果表明,本文提出的分类方法提取城区建筑物取得了93%的精度。  相似文献

Four data fusion methods, principle component transform (PCT), brovey transform (BT), smoothing filter-based intensity modulation (SFIM), and hue, saturation, intensity (HSI), are used to merge Landsat—7 ETM+ multispectral bands with ETM+ panchromatic band. Each of them improves the spatial resolution effectively but distorts the original spectral signatures to some extent. SFIM model can produce optimal fusion data with respect to preservation of spectral integrity. However, it results the most blurred and noisy image if the coregistration between the multispectral and pan images is not accurate enough. The spectral integrity for all methods is preserved better if the original multispectral images are within the spectral range of ETM+ pan image.  相似文献

北京一号小卫星是中国和英国联合研制的一颗实用型、对地观测微小卫星,星上携带中分辨率32m多光谱(近红外、红和绿波段)和4m全色两种有效载荷。为了提高多光谱图像的宽度和时间分辨率,北京一号小卫星的每个多光谱波段都是由两个相机独立成像然后拼接而成。由于这种成像方式很难保证6个相机的主光轴平行,导致图像配准精度较低。针对北京一号小卫星的这种成像特点,本文在图像灰度交叉相关匹配的基础上,发展了一种高精度波段配准算法来评价北京一号小卫星的波段配准精度,并在波段配准的基础上,评价北京一号小卫星多光谱图像的变形一致性。  相似文献

Image fusion is the combination of two or more different images to form a new image by using a certain algorithm. Despite the fact that the number and kind of satellite imagery are daily increasing, using fusion techniques, in a proper way, to eliminate the redundancy in data and increase the quality of data is an important challenge in Remote Sensing Image Processing. Fusion of multispectral images with a hyperspectral image generates a composite image which preserves the spatial quality from the high resolution (MS) data and the spectral characteristics from the hyperspectral data. For the present study three fusion algorithms (Principal Component Transformation, Colour Normalized and Gram-Scmidt Transformation) were analysed for Hyperion and IKONOS MSS data. Their ability to preserve the spectral quality of fused data, in comparison with original hyper-spectral image, has been investigated.  相似文献

探讨了一种新的光谱保持型的高通滤波融合(HPFF)算法。该算法先对参与融合的全色波段图像进行高通滤波,然后用滤波后的全色波段图像替换IHS正变换后的强度分量,再进行IHS逆变换,便得到HPFF融合图像。该图像色彩与TM图像一致,优于常规IHS变换法所得的图像。  相似文献

Pan-sharpening是通过将低分辨率多光谱图像(LMS)与高分辨率全色图像(PAN)进行合成而获得高光谱高空间分辨率的多光谱图像(HMS)的过程。本文提出一种Pan-sharpening方法,称为PAIHS。该方法基于自适应亮度-色度-饱和度(AIHS)转换和变分Pan-sharpening框架以及两个假设(①Pan-sharpening图像和原始多光谱图像(MS)具有相同的光谱信息;②Pan-sharpening图像与全色图像(PAN)包含的几何信息保持一致),同时确定目标函数,然后用粒子群算法(PSO)进行优化,目的是得到最佳控制参数并求得目标函数最小值,此时对应着最好的Pan-sharpening质量。试验结果表明,本文提出的方法具有高效性和可靠性,获得的性能指标也优于目前一些主流的融合方法。  相似文献

A useful technique in various applications of remote sensing involves the fusion of different types of satellite images, namely multispectral (MS) satellite images with a high spectral and low spatial resolution and panchromatic (Pan) satellite image with a low spectral and high spatial resolution. Recent studies show that wavelet-based image fusion provides high-quality spectral content in fused images. However, the results of most wavelet-based methods of image fusion have a spatial resolution that is less than that obtained via the Brovey, intensity-hue-saturation, and principal components analysis methods of image fusion. We introduce an improved method of image fusion which is based on the amelioration de la resolution spatiale par injection de structures (ARSIS) concept using the curvelet transform, because the curvelet transform represents edges better than wavelets. Because edges are fundamental in image representation, enhancing the edges is an effective means of enhancing spatial resolution. Curvelet-based image fusion has been used to merge a Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus Pan and MS image. The proposed method simultaneously provides richer information in the spatial and spectral domains.  相似文献

Wide image swath with a high geometric resolution is required for photogrammetric applications. Both demands can be satisfied using staggered line arrays. Different bands of IRS-P6 LISS-4 sensor use staggered arrays for imaging. This paper describes a method for computing the offset for geometric alignment of odd and even lines of the staggered array of IRS-P6 LISS-4 imagery. The odd and even pixel rows are separated by 35 μm (equal to 5 pixels) in the focal plane in the along-track direction. Slightly different viewing angles of both lines of a staggered array can result in a variable sampling pattern on the ground because of the attitude fluctuations, satellite movement, terrain topography, PSM steering and small variations in the angular placement of the CCD lines (from the pre-launch values) in the focal plane. Non-accounting of this variable sampling value during the video data alignment will introduce deterioration of image quality and geometric discontinuity of features. The stagger parameters can be computed by the reconstruction of the viewing geometry with a calibrated camera geometry model and a public domain DEM. The impact of the line separation in the focal plane during imaging for different viewing configurations and terrain heights are studied and reported in this paper. Computed values from the model are in good agreement with what is observed in the raw image for different view angles. The results verify the model and are representative of the stability of the platform.  相似文献

1999年9月24日发射成功的世界上第一颗商用1m分辨率的卫星IKONOS,具有1m分辨率的全色影像和4m分辨率的多光谱影像,通过对IKONOS1m分辨率的全色影像和4m分辨率的多光谱影像的融合可以获得1m分辨率的多光谱影像,为应用提供理高质量的数据源,基于小波多分辨率分析的MRAGM方法,它适合处理任意整数分辨率之比的融合情况,具有在提高影像空间分辨率的同时又保持色调和饱和度不变的优越性,而实现它的关键是构建具有紧支撑特性的M进制低通尺度函滤波器,本文利用基于四进制小波滤波器的MRAGM算法,成功地把全色影像和多光谱影像进行了融合,结果显示该方法的效果令人满意。  相似文献

The purpose of remote sensing image fusion is to inject the detail image extracted from the panchromatic (PAN) image into the low spatial resolution multispectral (MS) image. A novel remote sensing image fusion method based on fast nonsubsampled contourlet transform (FNSCT) and Nonlinear intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) is presented in this paper. Firstly, the Nonlinear IHS transform is performed on the multispectral image, and then the I-component representing the spatial resolution and the panchromatic image is transformed by NSCT to obtain the low frequency and high frequency. Finally, the coefficients are selected using the improved sum-modified-Laplacian (SML) method and the improved Log-Gabor filter in the low frequency and the high frequency, respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed method is the most advanced fusion method in subjective and objective evaluation, can provide more spatial information, and retain more spectral information compared with several other methods.  相似文献

The leaf area index (LAI) of plant canopies is an important structural parameter that controls energy, water, and gas exchanges of plant ecosystems. Remote sensing techniques may offer an alternative for measuring and mapping forest LAI at a landscape scale. Given the characteristics of high spatial/spectral resolution of the WorldView-2 (WV2) sensor, it is of significance that the textural information extracted from WV2 multispectral (MS) bands will be first time used in estimating and mapping forest LAI. In this study, LAI mapping accuracies would be compared from (a) spatial resolutions between 2-m WV2 MS data and 30-m Landsat TM imagery, (b) the nature of variables between spectrum-based features and texture-based features, and (c) sensors between TM and WV2. Therefore spectral/textural features (SFs) were first selected and tested; then a canonical correlation analysis was performed with different data sets of SFs and LAI measurement; and finally linear regression models were used to predict and map forest LAI with canonical variables calculated from image data. The experimental results demonstrate that for estimating and mapping forest LAI, (i) using high resolution data (WV2) is better than using relatively low resolution data (TM); (ii) extracted from the same WV2 data, texture-based features have higher capability than that of spectrum-based features; (iii) a combination of spectrum-based features with texture-based features could lead to even higher accuracy of mapping forest LAI than their either one separately; and (iv) WV2 sensor outperforms TM sensor significantly. However, we need to address the possible overfitting phenomenon that might be brought in by using more input variables to develop models. In addition, the experimental results also indicate that the red-edge band in WV2 was the worst on estimating LAI among WV2 MS bands and the WV2 MS bands in the visible range had a much higher correlation with ground measured LAI than that red-edge and NIR bands did.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel approach based on multiobjective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) is presented for panchromatic (Pan) sharpening of a multispectral (MS) image. This new method could transfer spatial details of the pan image into a high-resolution version of the MS image, while color information from the low-resolution MS image is well preserved. The pan and MS images are locally different because of different resolutions, and therefore we cannot directly combine them in the spatial domain. For this reason, we generate two initial results, which are more appropriate for a weighted combination. First, the pan and the MS images are histogram matched. Then we use the shiftable contourlet transform (SCT) to decompose the histogram-matched pan and MS images. The SCT is a new shiftable and modified version of the contourlet transform. In this step, an algorithm based on the SCT is used to generate two initial results of the high-resolution MS images. Our objective is to produce two modified high-resolution MS images, in which one has high spatial similarity to the pan image and the other one has high radiometric quality in each band. Therefore, we have used two different fusion rules to integrate the high-frequency contourlet coefficients of the pan and MS images to generate two initial results of high-resolution MS image or the pan-sharpened (PS) image. Finally, we can find the optimal PS image by applying the MOPSO algorithm and using the two initial PS results. Specifically, the PS image is obtained via a weighted combination of the two initial results, in which the weights are locally estimated via a multiobjective particle swarm optimization algorithm to generate a PS image with high spatial and radiometric qualities. Based on experimental results obtained, the produced pan-sharpened image also has good spectral quality. The efficiency of the proposed method is tested by performing pan-sharpening of high-resolution (Quickbird and Wordview2) and medium-resolution (Landsat-7 ETM +) datasets. Extensive comparisons with the state-of-the-art pan-sharpening algorithms indicate that our new method provides improved subjective and objective results.  相似文献

This study examines best image fusion approaches for generating pansharpened very high resolution (VHR) multispectral images to be utilized for monitoring coastal barrier island development. Selected fusion techniques assessed in this research come from the three categories of spectral substitution (e.g., Brovey transform and multiplicative merging), arithmetic merging (e.g., modified intensity-hue-saturation and principal component analysis), and spatial domain (e.g., high-pass filter, and subtractive resolution merge). The image fusion methods selected for this study were capable of producing pansharpened VHR images with more than three bands. Comparisons of fusion techniques were applied to images from three satellite sensors: United States commercial satellites IKONOS and QuickBird, and the Korean KOMPSAT II. Pansharpened VHR multispectral images were assessed by spectral and spatial quality measurements. Results satisfying both spectral and spatial quality revealed optimum pansharpened techniques necessary for regular coastal mapping of barrier islands. These techniques may also be used to assess the quality of recently available VHR imagery acquired by numerous international, government, and commercial VHR satellite programs.  相似文献

The use of multispectral satellite sensors for generation of hyperspectral indices is restricted because of their coarse spectral resolutions. In this study, we attempted to synthesize a few of these hyperspectral indices, viz. RedEdge Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI705), Plant Senescence Reflectance Index (PSRI) and Normalized-Difference-Infrared-Index (NDII), for crop stress monitoring at regional scale using multispectral images, simulated from Hyperion data. The Hyperion data were resampled and simulated to corresponding spatial and spectral resolutions of AWiFS, OCM-2 and MODIS sensors using their respective filter function. Different possible combinations of two bands (i.e. simple difference, simple ratio and normalized difference) were computed using synthetic spectral bands of each sensor, and were regressed with NDVI705, PSRI and NDII. Models with highest correlation were selected and inverted on Hyperion data of another date to synthesize respective multispectral indices. Synthetic broad band indices of multispectral sensors with their respective narrow band indices of Hyperion were found to be in good agreement.  相似文献
