安装CB3磁变仪磁系的技巧

安装磁系过程中从竹片上取下吊丝和磁系放入仪器盒时很容易弄断吊丝。若在取下吊丝时在吊丝头的边上滴少许酒精,就很容易取下吊丝了。在磁系放入仪器盒时,若用头发丝或细线粘在纸片上,将纸片放入仪器盒内,轻轻拉紧纸片,磁系靠在纸片上慢慢滑入仪器盒,就不容易弄断吊丝。     

A simulation system of seismogeny, occurrence and development of earthquakes

A personal computer processing system for simulation of earthquake seismogeny, occurrence and development is given in this paper. It can automatically process the discontinuous events such as earthquake occurrence during computation. The program can be paused when you want to display the computation results. After you analyze these graphical results the simulation process can be continued.     

地电阻率绘图打印程序设计与实现

以通州地震台2008年观测数据为例,给出了地电阻率绘图打印程序的设计与实现。重点讨论了面向对象的程序设计方法、双缓冲绘图技术及所见即所得打印的实现。程序可与SODE数据库进行无缝集成,有多种绘图输出样式,操作简单,交互性好,在多个地震台站得到成功应用。     

Numerical analysis model of horizontal displacement of active faults

In this paper, a numerical model was presented for interpreting the movement feature of an active fault zone. This model was based on the analytic solution, given by Crouch (Crouch, 1976), for the problem of displacement discontinuity in an infinite elastic solid, making full use of geodetic and geological data and it was constructed by the boundary element method. A numerous test computation shows that if you want to catch the possible seismic precursor from the displacement’s vector, you have to associate the computation with geological survey in a deep going way, otherwise you would fail in your propose. This method is valid for analysing the zone of strike-slip fault and it has some values for dealing with other analogous problems. The Chinese version of this paper appeared in the Chinese edition ofActa Seismologica Sinica,15, 153–158, 1993.     

IGS服务数据下载软件的研制

在GPS数据解算和研究中,IGS服务数据的下载工作繁琐,尤其网络不正常时,下载更是费时费力.针对地震系统需要,作者研制了在UNIX环境下运行专用于下载IGS服务数据的软件.用户只需要提供台站名,起始、终止时间便可下载需要的文件,下载的同时能够实时显示网络运行情况及下载进度,并对网络故障做出处理.作者采用套接口API编写FTP客户端程序,采用GTK 多线程并发及互斥等方法使软件更为健壮.

International Year of Astronomy 2009

IYA2009 will be a great opportunity for all of us working in astronomy (and space) to make an impact; certainly locally and nationally and, we hope, globally. So what is going on and how can you participate? Ian Robson has the answers.     

EPA's Marian Mlay

Marian Mlay, director of the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Ground Water Protection, is about to be interviewed. She just concluded a three-hour meeting, and as she shakes your hand, you can almost hear the gears shifting. She brushes her hair back away from her face, composes herself and faces the interviewer.
If she looks a little harried it's because she is. She and her 18-person staff have just completed a major document, the 400-page "Guidelines for Ground Water Classification Under the EPA Ground Water Protection Strategy." She has several equally important deadlines facing her; two major projects are due in June. Today is also the deadline for comments concerning the classification document, and her office is receiving last-minute phone calls and messenger packages. She, and staff member/chief hydrogeologist Ron Hoffer, are cordial, even warm. But you can't help feeling this interview is wasting their time. There is work to be done, as the interview printed here clearly indicates.

宁夏地震信息共享系统简介

由宁夏地震局自主研发的地震信息共享系统，采用目前流行的SQL Server数据库作为后台数据库、Windows ⅡS作为WEB服务器和ASP作为编程手段，完成B／S模式的WEB信息动态显示和后台发布管理模块；结合结构化查询语言及分层技术，实现了数据、信息的分类检索及震中定位等功能；通过“推”的跨防火墙的数据库复制，保证了内外两个WEB数据库数据信息的瞬间一致性。

Modeling Dewatered Domains in Multilayer Analytic Element Models

This proposed technique allows sensible and numerically stable behavior in multilayer analytic element models when layers dewater. When saturated thickness approaches zero in an unconfined or fresh/salt interface domain, the domain transitions to a very thin confined domain with a minimum saturated thickness M. M is an adjustable input parameter, so you can make the horizontal flow in dewatered domains negligibly small by making the minimum saturated thickness very small. Vertical flows can pass through a dewatered domain, whether it is near the surface or at depth. For example, recharge may pass through a shallow dewatered layer to a deeper layer that is not dewatered. This approach is examined in detail in an example multilayer model of mine dewatering.     

Exact solution for two-dimensional flow to a well in an anisotropic domain

Although most current applications of the analytic element method are formulated for isotropic hydraulic conductivity, anisotropic domains can be modeled with analytic elements using the well-known coordinate transformation where one coordinate axis is scaled by the square root of the anisotropy ratio. If the standard analytic solution for steady radial flow to a well is used with this coordinate transformation, the resulting solution correctly models the far field but it does not meet the constant head boundary condition at the well radius. This could be a significant shortcoming if you are interested in the flow field close to the well or want to estimate the head at the pumping well. A new solution for two-dimensional steady flow to a well in an anisotropic domain is presented. This solution satisfies the governing equations exactly and meets the constant head boundary condition at the well radius exactly. It was derived using a conformal mapping.     

Corrosions in refuse incineration

Conclusion We did not have the presumption of thinking that we would be able to exhaust such a vast and complex subject in our discussions. However our attempts at explaining the processes of corrosion and our study of possible remedies should, at relatively short term, enable us to master the problem to a sufficient extent. This aim, if it could be reached, would justify the conception of high-efficiency incineration plants. We can therefore but hope for a continuation of co-operation between constructors, operators, chemists and metallurgists, this co-operation having been successfully demonstrated in our Congress. It is only by appealing to the help and experience of each expert that we shall be able to solve problems of such complexity. Allow me, Ladies and Gentlemen, to thank you for having listened to me. I should moreover like to thank all those who, having taken part in our meetings, have let us benefit from their experience.     

我国金属与非金属矿物探的回顾与展望

概要回顾了我国金属与非金属矿物探的历史及47年来所经历的四个发展阶段．物探方法由4种增加至40余种，一些已达国际先进水平．47年来，航空物探和区域重力调查基本覆盖了我国陆地面积，提出一大批基础地质和深部地质问题的新认识．物探发现了数以千计的金属与非金属矿的矿床．在技术方面，建立起了第二代航空物探系列、地面高精度重力和磁勘查系列、综合电法系列、综合核物探系列以及地下物探和测井系列．针对固体矿产的勘查任务，提出了物探的发展方向和一些建议．     

Using the Stabilization Plateau to Estimate Optimum Well Purge Volume

This study concerns the problem of pump position in landfill monitoring wells and the correct time to stop purging and start sampling. Literature purge volume determination methods fail to use sufficient analyte values for comprehensive study of the stabilization plateau. From field studies it is recommended that prior to commencement of a sampling program a purge study be undertaken to determine pump position and optimum purge volume by conducting (1) a preliminary vertical electrical conductivity (EC) profile: (2) vertical profiling of formation water EC values by low-flow pumping at 0.5 m vertical intervals-while also noting EC vertical profile values to assure minimal effect on the water column water quality; and (3) a low-flow, purge EC stabilization test with the pump positioned at highest formation water EC values. Sufficient EC values are needed to fulfill Conover's (1980) nonparametric tolerance interval sample size criteria, and to graphically delineate the stabilization plateau. This information will allow you to choose an optimum purge volume that allows a margin for error.
