A two-dimensional analysis is applied to examine the effect that a sloping bedrock half-space has on the amplification of an anti-plane shear wave. The direct boundary integral equation method is used for the two-dimensional analysis. The particular soil–rock configuration investigated includes a homogeneous soil layer underlain by a sloping rock half-space. The rock half-space dips for a horizontal distance L and then becomes horizontal so that the overlying soil layer has a thickness H that remains constant from this point to infinity. The materials in the soil–rock configuration are considered viscoelastic except in the rock half-space below soil layer thickness H, which is considered elastic. This limitation in damping is due to the correction used for the truncation of the half-space boundary. Four cases are used to study the relationship between rock slope and surface displacement, vertical, 1:2, 1:4, 1:8. Surface displacements are determined for each of these cases for half-space incidence angles of 90, 75, and 60°. To allow for applicability to a wide range of problems, results are determined as a function of dimensionless parameters. In addition, solutions from a one-dimensional analysis are compared with the results of the two-dimensional analysis to establish limits outside of which a one-dimensional analysis suffices.  相似文献

地表地形常引起地震动的局部放大,这是由于地震波传播至局部地形时产生了散射现象.本文利用波函数展开方法和区域匹配技术,提出了含峭壁V形峡谷对平面SH波散射问题的解析解,并进行了退化验证.通过频域内的参数分析,揭示了峭壁深度、入射波频率和角度等因素对峡谷场地地面运动的影响规律,发现上部峭壁会增强峡谷对地震动的地形放大效应.研究结果不仅为数值方法提供了验证基准,还可为含峭壁峡谷周边建筑物的抗震设计提供顺河向地震动输入.

This paper presents 2.5D scattering of incident plane SH waves by a canyon in layered half-space by the indirect boundary element method (IBEM). The free field response is carried out to give the displacements and stresses on the line which forms boundary of the canyon. The direct boundary integral equation technique is applied to determine the impact on surface amplification caused by an inhomogeneity in a bedrock half-space. The particular soil-rock configuration studied is one in which a soil layer rests on a rock half-space which includes a rock inclusion. The particular rock inclusion considered for this study is a semi-infinite rock layer with its upper boundary bordering the soil layer. Materials are considered viscoelastic except for the section of the rock half-space below the level of the rock inclusion which is considered elastic. A parametric study is performed to determine controlling factors for surface displacement due to a vertically incident shear wave. The study includes varying the stiffness and the thickness of the inclusion for a range of frequencies. Solutions from a one-dimensional analysis are compared with the results of a two-dimensional analysis in order to establish limits inside of which a two-dimensional analysis is required. The scattering of first mode linear baroclinic Rossby waves by a top-hat ridge in a continuously stratified ocean, with Brunt-Väisälä frequency that decays exponentially with depth below a surface mixed layer, is the subject of this study. A numerical mode matching technique is used to calculate the transmission coefficients for the propagating modes over the ridge. It is found that the scattered field depends crucially upon the stratification. For example, when the majority of the density variation is confined to a thin thermocline, corresponding to a small e-folding scale, gamma ?1, for the Brunt-Väisälä frequency, a large amount of the incident wave energy is reflected by a small amplitude ridge. Appreciable energy conversion between the propagating barotropic and baroclinic modes takes place in this case. An asymptotic analysis for a small amplitude ridge is presented that confirms these numerical results. In the limit gamma ?1→ 0, it is demonstrated that the scattered field in the continuously stratified ocean model differs markedly from the two-layer solution. The latter does not exhibit appreciable reflection of the incident wave energy for a small amplitude ridge. In conclusion, the application of a two-layer ocean model to describe Rossby wave scattering by ridges in place of a continuously stratified model cannot be recommended.  相似文献

利用Green函数、复变函数及多极坐标法研究了浅埋裂纹附近的半圆形凸起地形对SH波的散射问题。首先求解出适合本问题的Green函数,即含有半圆形凸起的弹性半空间内任意一点承受时间谐和的出平面线源荷载作用时位移场的解答。然后,从半圆形凸起地形对SH波的散射问题出发,利用本问题的Green函数在基体内构造裂纹。最后给出了浅埋裂纹附近的半圆形凸起地形对SH波散射的位移场。通过算例讨论了裂纹对地表位移幅值的影响,结果表明裂纹在一定情况下具有减震作用。  相似文献

Scattering of SH waves in a half-space with simple overground structures is studied analytically. For two-dimensional structures, such as shells, shear walls and a slab-bridge over a river, the method of matched asymptotics is used for sinusoidal waves long compared to the thickness of the structures. Diffraction of a two-dimensional (2D) semi-circular cavity in a half-space under incident SH-waves is studied using the classic wave function expansion method with a new de-coupling technique. This so-called “improved cosine halfrange expansion” algorithm exhibits an excellent performance in reducing displacement residual errors at two rim points of concern. The governing equations are developed in a manner that minimizes the residues of the boundary conditions. Detailed derivation and analysis procedures as well as truncation of infinite linear governing equations are presented. The semi-circular cavity model presented in this paper, due to its simple profile, is expected to be used in seismic wave propagation studies as a benchmark for examining the accuracies of various analytical or numerical methods for mixed-boundary wave propagation problems.  相似文献

采用直接刚度法计算自由场动力响应,以层状半空间中移动斜线均布荷载动力格林函数模拟散射波场,采用间接边界元方法求解了层状半空间中沉积谷地对斜入射平面SH波的三维散射问题.由于文中采用的层状场地三维动力刚度矩阵是精确的,且用于模拟散射波场的均布移动斜线荷载可以直接施加在沉积交界面处而不存在奇异性,所以本文方法具有很高精度.文中以均匀半空间和基岩上单一土层中沉积谷地对入射SH波的散射为例进行了数值计算,研究表明,沉积谷地对地震波的三维散射与二维散射之间存在本质差别;层状半空间中沉积谷地与均匀半空间中沉积谷地附近地表位移存在显著差异.  相似文献

<正>The influence of local landforms on ground motion is an important problem.The antiplane response of a scalene triangular hill to incident SH waves is studied in this paper by using a complex function,moving coordinates and auxiliary functions.First,the model is divided into two domains:a scalene triangular hill with a semi-circular bottom;and a half space with a semi-circular canyon.Wave functions that satisfy the zero-stress condition at the triangular wedges and at the horizontal surface are constructed in both domains.Then,considering the displacement continuity and stress equilibrium, algebraic equations are established.Finally,numerical examples are provided to illustrate the influence of the geometry of the hill and the characteristics of the incident waves on the ground motions.  相似文献

借助wolf的土层和半空间精确动力刚度矩阵和斜线荷载格林函数,采用间接边界元法在频域内求解了含断层破碎带场地对SH波的放大作用,着重分析了破碎带较窄断层两侧围岩动力响应的基本规律及场地动力特性对散射的影响.结果表明,断层破碎带对SH波有显著的影响,即使破碎带很窄,也可对SH波产生很大的放大作用;层状场地动力特性对放大作用有显著的影响.  相似文献

The plane-wave assumption for incident SH waves can be a good approximation for cylindrical and spherical waves radiated from finite sources, even when the source is as close as twice the size of the inhomogeneity, and when the source and the inhomogeneity are described within the same coordinate system. However, in a more general setting, and when the fault’s radiation pattern must be considered, the plane-wave approximation may not yield satisfactory answers for arbitrary orientation of the fault. Jalali et al. (2015) demonstrated this for a semi-cylindrical, sedimentary valley, and in this study we extend their results to a case in which the semi-circular, sedimentary valley is replaced by a canyon. We describe the effects of incident cylindrical waves on the amplitudes of surface motion in and near the semi-cylindrical canyon when the causative faults are at different distances and have different curvatures and orientations.  相似文献

The paper deals with the problem of SH harmonic wave propagation in an elastic layer with temperature dependent properties. The shear modulus and mass density are linearly dependent on temperature. The layer is rested on a rigid foundation and the upper boundary is free of loadings. The boundary planes are kept at different constant temperatures. 采用波函数展开法及边界离散的方法给出了任意断面形状的地下夹塞对平面SH波散射的半解析解; 利用蒙特卡罗方法随机模拟产生了30组夹塞断面样本, 通过对该样本在平面SH波入射下地表位移幅值的统计分析, 研究了夹塞断面形状随机性对平面SH波散射的影响. 结果表明, 夹塞断面形状随机性对平面SH波的散射具有重要影响. 以圆形夹塞为例, 当断面半径的变异系数为0.1时, 地表位移响应幅值变异系数可达0.71. 随着入射频率的升高, 变异系数逐渐增大; 随着夹塞刚度的降低, 变异系数逐渐增大; 随着夹塞埋深的增加, 变异系数逐渐减小.  相似文献

A closed-form wave equation analytic solution of two-dimensional scattering and diffraction of outof-plane(SH) waves by an almost semi-circular shallow cylindrical hill on a flat, elastic and homogeneous half space is proposed by applying the discrete Fourier series expansions of sine and cosine functions. The semi-circular hill problem is discussed as a special case for the new formulated equation.Compared with the previous semi-circular cases solutions, the present method can give surface displacement amplitudes which agrees well with previous results. Although the proposed equation can only solve the problem of SH-waves diffracted by almost semi-circular shallow hills, the stress and displacement residual amplitudes are numerical insignificantly everywhere. Moreover, the influences of the depth-towidth ratio(a parameter defined in this paper to evaluate the shallowness of the topography of hills) on ground motions are presented and summarized. The limitations and errors of truncation from Graf's addition theorem and Fourier series equations in the present paper are also discussed.  相似文献

利用间接边界元法,求解了弹性层状半空间中洞室对入射平面SH波的放大作用问题,并以基岩上单一土层中洞室对入射平面SH波的放大作用为例进行了数值计算分析。本文模型的特点之一是考虑了层状场地的动力特性,因而更接近于实际工程;特点之二是计算精度非常高。研究表明,层状半空间中洞室对波的放大作用与均匀半空间中情况有着本质的差别;层状半空间中洞室附近地表动力响应由土层动力特性和洞室对波的散射二者共同决定。土层动力特性不仅影响洞室附近地表位移的幅值,还会影响地表位移的频谱。在土层的前几阶共振频率附近,随着基岩与土层剪切波速比的增大,土层的影响随之增大,而随着土层厚度的增加,土层的影响随之减小,并逐渐趋于均匀半空间情况。  相似文献

This paper presents a closed-form solution for diffraction of plane SH waves by a semi-circular cavity in half-space by using wave function expansion method. Accuracy of the solution is checked by the displacement residual and stress residual along the boundaries. Numerical results show that there are notable differences for response amplitudes between a semi-circular cavity and a whole-circular cavity in a half-space.  相似文献
