Radiolarian assemblages from the Upper Cretaceous carbonate-cherty deposits of the East European platform are analyzed. Biostratigraphic subdivisions ranked as radiolarian beds are distinguished in sediments of the Moscow syneclise, Voronezh anteclise, and the Ul’yanovsk-Saratov depression. The correlation between biostratigraphic beds established in three tectonic structures and variants of their coordination with radiolarian subdivisions in southern and northern areas of Russia are considered. The key importance of radiolarians for the subdivision and correlation of the Upper Cretaceous cherty deposits is demonstrated.  相似文献

我们对江苏南部中、下泥盆统茅山砂岩进行了古地磁初步研究.结果表明:(1)杨子地块早、中泥盆世时期处于赤道附近;(2)在晚侏罗一早白垩世期间,宁镇山脉相对于无锡地区顺时针水平旋转了37.5°,茅山山脉在晚白垩世相对无锡地区逆时针水平旋转了30.7°,(3)宁镇和茅山地区茅山砂岩的层位,似应上升到无锡地区茅山砂岩的上段中、下部.  相似文献

松辽盆地构造演化划分为前中生代克拉通基底演化、晚侏罗世挤压火山穹窿演化、早白垩世伸展断陷、晚白垩世早期热冷却坳陷、晚白垩世晚期反转褶皱隆升萎缩剥蚀、古近纪伸展断陷隆升剥蚀及新近纪—第四纪挤压坳陷等7个演化阶段。本文系统讨论了松辽盆地北部构造演化与铀成矿作用的关系,指出晚白垩世早期冷却坳陷、晚白垩世晚期反转褶皱隆升萎缩剥蚀、古近纪伸展断陷隆升剥蚀3个阶段为区内主要铀成矿阶段。铀矿化的分布受基底断裂及反转构造带联合控制。松辽盆地北部构造演化对各构造分区铀矿床成矿类型具有明显的控制作用:西部斜坡区以寻找"古层间氧化"型、层间氧化型砂岩型铀矿床为主要类型;中央坳陷区及东北隆起区应围绕大庆长垣、绥棱背斜带等构造剥蚀天窗寻找"钱家店"式砂岩型铀矿床;北部倾没区及东北隆起区盆缘以寻找层间氧化型砂岩型铀矿床为主要类型。  相似文献

在俄罗斯达吉斯坦共和国早白垩世地层中,极少见到菊石化石,但是可以利用地层中腕足动物化石组合为基础划分贝利阿斯阶(Berriasian)、凡兰吟阶(Valanginian)、上下欧特里夫维阶(Lower and Uppet Hauterivian)和下巴雷姆阶(Lower Barremian)地层.  相似文献

根据非海相与海相,特别是共同的海相和非海相软体动物化石的对比,并结合放射性同位素测年,中国东北黑龙江东部和辽宁西部,韩国东南部庆尚盆地,日本西南部内带岐阜县北部牧户/庄川地区和外带四国德岛和物部地区早白垩世地层得到了对比,产自这些地层的非海相软体动物的时代也因此受到了约束。著名的中国东北含煤地层龙爪沟和鸡西群,盛产热河生物群/动物群的热河群的时代均为欧特里沃期/巴列姆期阿普特期,它们的上覆地层桦山群和孙家湾组为阿尔必期。韩国西南部新洞群和除金洞组以外的河阳群为阿普特期阿尔必期,不整合于新洞群之下的卯谷组主要为欧特里沃期。日本西南部内带的牧户/庄川地区的手取群和外带德岛和物部地区的物部川群均为欧特里沃期阿尔必期。Cuniopsis kihongi,Nakamuranaia leei,Koreanaia cheongi和Trigonioides(Wakinoa)tetoriensis的时代为欧特里沃期早巴列姆期。Viviparus onogoensis,Unio ogamigoensis,Myrene(Mesocorbicular)tetoriensis及Tetoria(Tetoria)yokoyami为欧特里沃期阿普特期。Arguniella cf.quadrata,A.cf.ventricosa,Sphaerium(Sphaerium)anderssoni,Probaicalia vitimensis和Pr.gerassimovi为欧特里沃期/巴列姆期阿普特期。Nakamuranaia chingshanensis,Plicatounio(Plicatounio)multiplicatus,Sphaerium(Sphaerium)coreanicum和Micromelania?katoensis为阿普特期阿尔必期。Nippononaia sinensis,Nip.tetoriensis,Nip.ryosekiana和Trigo-nioides(Wakinoa)wakinoensis是阿普特期的标志。Trigonioides(Trigonioides)quadratus,T.(T.)heilongjiangensis,Plicatounio(Plicatounio)naktongensis,Unio longus与Sphaerium(Sphaerium)chintaoense为晚阿普特期阿尔必期或阿尔必期的标志化石。我国东北、韩国东南和日本西南部非海相,特别是淡水软体动物接近的相似性表明这三地区在早白垩世时相连,并处于同一水系。但是,在欧特里沃期阿尔必期期间,这一陆块的东部,即频临古太平洋的日本西南部的外带因地势低而多被海水覆盖,在牧户/庄川和黑龙江东部存有遭受海侵的浅而窄的海湾,凡兰吟期,特别是欧特里沃期/巴列姆期之前,中国东北韩国东南部日本西南部陆块为受造山运动引起的隆起和沉降活动影响的高低不平的高原,经受了广泛而长期的剥蚀。多数含有包括熔岩和凝灰岩在内的火山岩,并与北东北北东方向的断裂带近于平行分布的非海相白垩纪盆地直至欧特里沃期/早巴列期(有些地区可能稍早(凡兰吟期))(134~126Ma),即华北克拉通破坏的高峰期(130~120Ma)才形成。这一现象表明,这些盆地受断裂,特别是伴随有强烈火山喷发和时而局部海侵的沿着古太平洋西北缘和郯庐断裂带的构造运动的控制。  相似文献

The Valanginian positive carbon isotope excursion and associated environmental changes, known as the Weissert Event, is the first in the series of Cretaceous Earth system perturbations. Here, we develop a multiproxy cyclostratigraphy from a 31.2-m-thick Upper Valanginian to lowermost Hauterivian section of the Bersek Marl Formation in Gerecse Mountains, Hungary, comprising alternating marlstone layers of varying clay and carbonate content. The bulk carbonate δ13C signal shows sustained, elevated values (up to 2.7‰) up to 19.2 m, followed by a decreasing trend upsection. Together with biostratigraphic data, this suggests that the lower part of the section was deposited during the plateau phase of the Late Valanginian Weissert Event. Spectral analyses of the multiproxy dataset, including magnetic susceptibility measurements and gamma-ray spectroscopy on the lower part of the section, led to the identification of precession, obliquity, and long and short eccentricity signals. A mean sedimentation rate of 14 m/Myr was calculated based on astronomical tuning. The cyclicity in the proxy signals reflects dilution cycles induced by the fluctuating rate of detrital runoff into the basin. This supports the idea that orbitally-forced humid-arid cycles controlled the pelagic alternating sedimentation during the Early Cretaceous throughout the Tethyan area.  相似文献

华北地块中生代含幔源包体玄武岩同位素年龄、岩石化学、地球化学及Sr-Nd同位素研究成果表明:119 Ma~110 Ma之间华北地块岩石圈地幔性质由富集型岩石圈地幔转化为亏损的软流圈地幔,岩石圈地幔性质的显著变化,说明中国东部岩石圈减薄的主要时间发生在早白垩世晚期119~100 Ma之间。中生代古太平洋伊泽奈崎大洋板块(Izanagi Plate)向欧亚板块俯冲所导致的拆沉,应是岩石圈减薄的重要控制因素。  相似文献

新疆博格达山初始隆升时间的地层学标定   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11  
博格达山位于东天山北缘,是准噶尔盆地与柴窝堡凹陷的分界岭。它的初始隆升时间是一个意义重大而又长期争论的基础地质问题。地表地质调查和人工地震勘探结果证实,石炭纪以来最早的区域性角度不整合发育于白垩系与前白垩纪地层之间。博格达地区斜层理、叠瓦状砾石迎水面等古流向示向构造研究结果证实,博南、博北沉积物扩散方向在早二叠世均指向南、侏罗纪时指向博格达主脊、而白垩纪及其后则背离博格达主脊。博格达山南、北砾石成分统计结果显示,侏罗系具双物源特征,而白垩纪物源区则为博格达山。据此推论,博格达山初始隆升发生在侏罗纪末-白垩纪初。基于博格达山初始隆升发生在侏罗纪、白垩纪转换之际,有理由相信博格达山地区在海西期未卷入天山造山带,在早中生代期间柴窝铺凹陷与准噶尔盆地同属一个盆地。  相似文献

根据沉积特征、岩石矿物特征、生物特征及地球化学特征的综合分析,将塔里木盆地白垩-第三系划分为3个沉积相组、12个沉积相、20个沉积亚相和若干个沉积微相,并首次在塔北发现海相沉积,塔里木盆地白垩-第三纪储集体包括碎屑岩和碳酸盐岩两种,东北坳陷区储层主要为碎屑岩,特别是下白垩统卡普沙良群亚格列木组是沙雅隆起上的重要储层,上白垩统巴什基奇克组是库车前陆盆地的重要储层,西南坳陷区储层包括碎屑岩储层和碳酸盐岩储层两种岩性,如下白垩统上部乌鲁克恰特组滨岸海滩硝砾岩及上白垩统依格孜牙组生物丘灰岩等也构成较好的储集层。  相似文献

Origin of diamond and its indicator-minerals found in the Cretaceous, Paleogene, and Quaternary sediments in the southern sector of the East European Platform has remained a debatable issue over the past period of approximately 40 years. It was assumed that the Cretaceous diamond in the Volch’e placer and Central deposit confined to the Voronezh anteclise was derived from the Uralian sources, whereas the Paleogene diamond was derived from the South Ukrainian sources. Analysis of paleogeographic maps of new generation (scales 1: 200000–1: 500000) and new data on samples (50 samples 0.5–20 t each) examined by scientists from the Geological Research Institute of Voronezh State University with the participation of authors of the present communication support the hypothesis of local origin of diamonds and localization of their provenance in the sedimentary cover of the Voronezh anteclise. This inference pertains to high-pressure minerals detected in pre-Quaternary sediments. Diamond grains and indicator-minerals hosted in the Quaternary postglacial sediments of the Voronezh anteclise were likely derived from the Don glacial apron in the early Pleistocene (gQI ds) from northern areas of the platform (southeastern Finland, Karelia, Kola Peninsula, and Zimnii Bereg area of the Arkhangel’sk region). Such grains are unsuitable for prospecting purposes. Lithofacies investigations made it possible to outline two areas in the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions that likely accommodate productive diatremes.  相似文献

Intra-continental depressions occurred in Central Arabia, within the evaporite-bearing Sulaiy Formation, and extends for over 550 km along N-S arcuate belt, passing through eastern Ar Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They mark Jurassic/Cretaceous contact within the Interior Homocline of Central Arabia, accommodating Neogene and Quaternary deposits. Two en echelon major depressional areas were discovered, the northern major depressional area and the southern major depressional area. The first depressional area occurs between Al Artawiyah and Ad Dilam towns, following the arcuate Jurassic/Cretaceous contact. It contains five depressions: N-S Al Artwaiyah depression; NW-SE Ath Thumamah depression, northeast of Riyadh; NW-SE Jinadriyah depression, east of Riyadh; E-W Al Kharj depression; and N-S Ad Dilam depression. All five depressions seems to be formed by tectonic and subsequent geomorphic events, except for Al Artawiyah and Jinadriyah depression, which developed mainly by tectonic events. Southern major depressional area steps over to southwest of Ad Dilam, and occurs from Hawtat bani tamim to Layla towns. This Hawtah-Layla major depression trends N-S, and Cretaceous units strike NNE, which is a slightly oblique relationship, suggesting expression of deep-seated structures. Tectonic features were part of the Alpine-Himalayan orogeny, developing during Eocene. They followed by a geomorphic event (karsts and subsequent collapse) that took place during Mid Pleistocene. Ad Dilam depression is a surface expression of three oil and gas fields, while the southern major depression between Hawtat Bani Tamim and Layla towns is a surface expression of four oil and gas fields. Yet, other several depressional areas are also accommodating Quaternary desert sediments, and they contain economic resources, which therefore, worth further detailed studies.  相似文献

Low‐temperature thermochronology (LTT) is commonly used to investigate onshore records of continental rifting and geomorphic evolution of passive continental margins. The SE Australian passive margin, like many others, has an elevated plateau separated from the coastal plain by an erosional escarpment, presumed to originate through Cretaceous rifting prior to Tasman Sea seafloor spreading. Previous LTT studies have focused on reconciling thermal histories with development of the present‐day topography. New apatite LTT data along an escarpment‐to‐coast transect define a classic “boomerang” (mean track length vs. fission‐track age), indicating variable overprinting of late‐Palaeozoic cooling ages by a younger, mid‐Cretaceous cooling event. Regionally, however, the boomerang trend diverges NNW away from the coast and crosses the escarpment, implying the underlying thermal history pre‐dates escarpment formation and is largely independent from post‐breakup landscape evolution. We suggest that Cretaceous cooling might relate to erosion of Permo‐Triassic sedimentary cover from a formerly more extensive Sydney Basin.  相似文献

The paper discusses integrated sequence-cyclostratigraphic analysis of Upper Cretaceous sediments based on 9 sections in the Russian Plate (the Voronezh Anteclise and the Ulyanovsk-Saratov Basin). Tracts (transgressive and highstand) were for the first time recognized in sections of this region and compared with member-by-member subdivision, bed rhythmites, and Milankovitch cycles indicating their orders. Certain rhythmites and the Milankovitch cycles, which produced them, were tied to the Cyclostratigraphic Scale of the Upper Cretaceous sediments. Data on paleogeographic sedimentation environments, such as sedimentation depth, temperature, sedimentation rate, etc. and paleocoenoses are presented and paleogeographic models of rhythmic structure formation were reconstructed.  相似文献

A dense grid of multichannel high-resolution seismic sections from the Bay of Kiel in the western Baltic Sea has been interpreted in order to reveal the Mesozoic and Cenozoic geological evolution of the northern part of the North German Basin. The overall geological evolution of the study area can be separated into four distinct periods. During the Triassic and the Early Jurassic, E–W extension and the deposition of clastic sediments initiated the movement of the underlying Zechstein evaporites. The deposition ceased during the Middle Jurassic, when the entire area was uplifted as a result of the Mid North Sea Doming. The uplift resulted in a pronounced erosion of Upper Triassic and Lower Jurassic strata. This event is marked by a clear angular unconformity on all the seismic sections. The region remained an area of non-deposition until the end of the Early Cretaceous, when the sedimentation resumed in the area. Throughout the Late Cretaceous the sedimentation took place under tectonic quiescence. Reactivated salt movement is observed at the Cretaceous Cenozoic transition as a result of the change from an extensional to compressional regional stress field. The vertical salt movement influenced the Cenozoic sedimentation and resulted in thin-skinned faulting.  相似文献

The Cretaceous and Cenozoic fill of the continental margins of southern Africa (South‐East Atlantic and Agulhas Margins) contains a continuous record of sediment supplied from the South African Plateau (SAP) for the past 134 million years. Estimates of solid sediment volumes deposited offshore were calculated from isopach maps and extrapolated vertical cross‐sections derived from a large amount of industrial geophysical data. Solid phase volumes and accumulation rates were calculated for six epochs: Lower Cretaceous (134–113 Ma), Mid Cretaceous (113–93.5 Ma), Upper Cretaceous (93.5–81 and 81–66 Ma), Palaeogene (66–25 Ma), Neogene (25–0 Ma). Our new compilation demonstrates the existence of two periods of elevated flux. The most important one occurs in the late Cretaceous (93.5–66 Ma) and was synchronous with an acceleration of onshore denudation as shown by thermochronometric data. After a period of extremely low accumulation rate, the second phase of elevated flux started in the Oligocene (~30–25 Ma) until present‐day. From these observations we suggest that the main phase of uplift of the SAP took place during the Upper Cretaceous. Two mechanisms, namely uplift caused by lithospheric delamination or by dynamic topography caused by the continent moving over the African Superplume, are viable explanations for our observations. The more recent and lower amplitude episode of enhanced accumulation rates is likely to correspond to a second period of uplift, potentially associated with the onset of uplift and extension along the East African Rift System.  相似文献

At many North Atlantic continental margins, the early Neocomian is characterized by a major stratigraphic turning point from Late Jurassic-Berriasian carbonate bank/pelagic carbonate deposition to Valanginian-Barremian hemipelagic sedimentation with thick Wealden-type deltaic to deep-sea fan sequences. The stratigraphy and structure of the very old, starved passive margin of the Mazagan Plateau and adjacent steep escarpment off Morocco was studied during the French-German CYAMAZ deep diving campaign. The drowning of the Late Jurassic-early Berriasian carbonate platform was strongly influenced by a global late Berriasian sea level fall which was followed by a rapid late Valanginian sea level rise and/or by a major regional blockfaul ting event with accelerated subsidence rates. Upper Berriasian to (?) Hauterivian quartz-bearing bioclastic wackestones document the transition from the carbonate platform to the hemipelagic deposition on the drowned platform margin. Seawards, these deposits are correlated with a deep sea fan sequence. We discuss also an example from the Tarfaya Basin-Fuerteventura area further south. A 300 m thick succession of organic-rich claystone and sandstone turbidites (including m-thick debris flow units) of Hauterivian to Barremian age was an unexpected discovery at DSDP Site 603 off North Carolina (Leg 93). We discuss a tectonically confined fan model with laterally migrating channels, influenced by sea level fluctuations and varying terrigenous supply. During the Valanginian to Barremian time of high-standing (or rising) sea level, shelf construction (Wealden-type deltas) coincided with subdued, resedimentation-starved turbiditic system on the continental rise. Extensive unconsolidated sands, however, reflect sudden input of shelfal material into the basin during a mid-Aptian sea level lowstand (shelf destruction). The following global late Aptian transgression terminated the clastic fan deposition, raised the CCD and started the deposition of organic-rich shales.  相似文献

The western part of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang is one of the main areas in China where the marineCretaceous is well developed. The Upper Cretaceous Yingjisha Group represented mainly by sediments of lit-toral, near-shore neritic and estuarine facies is divided in ascending order into the Kukebai Formation, theOytak Formation, the Ygezya Formation and the Tuylouk Formation. For about thirty years, the basal beds of the Kukebai Formation had been considered to be the lowermostmarine horizon of the Cretaceous in the western part of the Tarim Basin, which represents the earliest trans-gression of the Cretaceous Sea into this region. Recently. marine trace fossils, Ophiomorpha nodosa, O.tuberosa and Thalassinoides? spp. were found in abundance and fine preservation from the upper subcycle andupper part of the lower subcycle of the Kezlesu Group underlying the Kukebai Formation. The fact indicatesthat the marine transgression there took place earlier than the Kukebaian. Process of transgression and regression and change of environment in the West Tarim Basin during the pe-riod from the late Early Cretaceous to the end of the Cretaceous is also discussed in this paper.  相似文献

The generalized eustatic and tectonoeustatic models developed by the author are tested on Lower Cretaceous deposits of the eastern part of the Russian Plate. The models are applicable to facies analysis of sections of epicontinental basins with mainly slope sedimentation. They demonstrate possible variations in section lithology depending on the rate of eustatic changes and the intensity and direction of epeirogenic movements. It has been revealed that the Lower Cretaceous sections in the east of the Russian Platform formed as a result of the synchronous global eustasy and regional epeirogeny. Superposition of the global eustatic curve onto the Lower Cretaceous chronostratigraphic chart of the eastern part of the platform showed that global eustasy, periodically concealed by regional epeirogeny, played a crucial role in the Early Cretaceous history of the study area. Regional epeirogenic and eustatic curves were constructed. The epeirogenic curve demonstrates the contribution of vertical tectonic movements to the overall eustatic-epeirogenic result recorded on a regional eustatic curve. The latter was constructed from the analysis of the spatial and temporal changes in the stratigraphic position of formations and strata and transgressive surfaces ranking. Eustatic cycles of different ranks, from elementary (systems tracts) to regional scale, have been recognized. In the rank of largest lithostratigraphic units, three sequences are revealed: Valanginian (RP-1K), Upper Hauterivian–Upper Aptian (RP-2K), and Albian (RP-3K), which reflect the crucial stages of the Early Cretaceous evolution of the eastern Russian Plate. The eustatic-epeirogenic processes during accumulation of formations and strata from Early Berriasian to Late Albian (145.5–99.6 Ma) are considered. It is shown that the division of the studied composite section into sequences permits precise prediction of diverse solid minerals.  相似文献

Upper Cretaceous and Cenozoic formations of the western Transbaikal and southeastern Baikal regions are considered. Molasses and molassoids (molasse-type sediments) were included into these formations in previous works. In our opinion, the following formations are developed in these regions: plain fan formation divided into the terrigenous (Upper Cretaceous) and coaliferous (Upper Oligocene-Lower Pliocene) subformations; plain fine-clastic formation (Paleogene, except the Upper Oligocene); and orogenic molasse formation (Upper Pliocene-Holocene) divided into the lower red-colored and upper gray-colored subformations. Main textural features of these formations are considered. Paleogeographic and paleotectonic settings of their accumulation are reconstructed. It is shown that coarse-clastic sediments of fan formations accumulated in grabens among ancient denudation plains due to the destruction of rocks in near-wall benches. These plains probably hosted in some areas remnants of the mountainous relief. Origination and development of the Baikal rift zone was the main geological event in the Baikal region during the Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic. Based on study of the southeastern Baikal region with the thickest and most representative Cenozoic sections, the prerifting and rifting stages of this zone and correlative events in the adjacent (relatively stable) areas of the western Transbaikal region are characterized.  相似文献
