介绍上海天文台25 m射电望远镜首次单天线脉冲星观测。2010年4月23日,使用上海天文台位于佘山观测基地的25 m射电望远镜对脉冲星J0332+5434在L波段进行了观测,此次观测使用VLBI终端进行数据采集记录,通过对观测数据进行非相干消色散和周期折叠,成功获得目标源的平均轮廓。此次观测的成功,表明该天线具备开展单天线脉冲星观测的条件,并为上海天文台建设中的65 m天线的天文观测提供了参考,为将来自主研发脉冲星终端进行了技术储备。  相似文献

脉冲星发射的辐射信号经过星际介质到达观测天线的过程中,存在色散效应。该效应导致有一定带宽脉冲信号的不同频率成份到达天线时间有延迟,影响对脉冲星的观测。消色散技术是脉冲星观测的关键技术,它对脉冲星观测系统的灵敏度和观测精度至关重要。脉冲星相干消色散过程是:通过对观测信号进行Nyquist采样,对采样数据做傅立叶变换,变换后的频域信号与星际介质Chirp函数乘积,然后再做逆傅立叶变换回时域,得到消色散后的时域信号。乌鲁木齐天文站依托现有的南山25m射电望远镜和VLBI记录终端MK5A系统,自行开发的相干消色散处理软件(Linux操作系统下C语言调用MPI库)和4节点机群系统,建立了脉冲星相干消色散观测系统。  相似文献

本文介绍有关宇宙水的研究的新进展,事实上现在振动基态6_(16)-5_(23)水脉泽(λ=1.3cm)已不再是可以用来研究宇宙水的唯一谱线了。由于科学技术的进步,振动基态的一些其他水脉泽,振动激发态的一些发射线与吸收线已变得可以探测。宇宙水除了1.3cm波段外,还可以通过在毫米、亚毫米、红外波段的多种谱线来进行研究,取得更丰富、更全面的天文信息。  相似文献

2009年11月,云南天文台射电天文研究团组采用40m射电望远镜以及基于DBBC(Digital Base Band Conveter)和Mark5B的VLBI记录系统对PSRJ08354510和PSRJ0332+5434进行了观测。观测选用S波段右旋圆极化信号,起始频率为2206.99MHz,总带宽为32MHz。对数据进行相干消色散和平均后,得到PSRJ0332+5434的单脉冲图像和两颗脉冲星的平均脉冲轮廓。由平均轮廓的展宽随时间的变化关系,对脉冲星的视周期作了一定修正后,得到信噪比更高的平均轮廓图。最后对轮廓的信噪比随时间的变化作了初步分析,由此可了解整个系统在观测时的稳定性。  相似文献

本文给出88年6月和7月期间在澳大利亚Parkes进行的一次南天脉冲星偏振观测的部分有意义的结果。频率为1560MHz。采用了Jodrell Bank天文台新研制成的2×16×5MHz滤波系统,使这次观测具有很强的消色散能力和较高的灵敏度。这4颗南天脉冲星具有较强的线偏振,为首次获得的高频偏振资料。  相似文献

We review the results of simultaneous two-frequency imaging observations of solar microwave bursts with the Very Large Array. Simultaneous 2 and 6 cm observations have been made of bursts which are optically thin at both frequencies, or optically thick at the lower frequency. In the latter case the source structure may differ at the two frequencies, but the two sources usually seem to be related. However, this is not always true of simultaneous 6 and 20 cm observations. The results have implications for the analysis of non-imaging radio data of solar and stellar flares.  相似文献

Laboratory measurements of Steffes (1986) have suggested that the intensity and shape of the microwave spectrum of Venus might be especially sensitive to the subcloud abundance of constituents such as SO2 and gaseous H2SO4. It was likewise suggested that some variations of the shape of the emission spectrum might occur between 1.5 and 3 cm (10 to 20 GHz), a wavelength range which had previously only been sparsely observed. As a result, coordinated observations of Venus emission were conducted at four wavelengths between 1.35 cm (22.2 GHz) and 3.6 cm (8.42 GHz) using the 43-m NRAO antenna at Green Bank, West Virginia, and the 64-m antenna at NASA's Deep Space Communication Complex, Goldstone, California. In this paper, we report the methodology and results of these observations, and compare the results with other observations and with calculated emission spectra. We conclude that the observed emission spectrum is consistent with an average subcloud abundance of gaseous H2SO4 in equatorial and midlatitude regions which is approximately 5 ppm. It is suggested that additional measurements of atmospheric microwave opacity be made with the Pioneer-Venus Orbiter Radio Occultation experiment to search for temporal and spatial variations in gaseous H2SO4 abundance in the Venus atmosphere. An upper limit for the subcloud abundance of SO2 is also determined.  相似文献

Peak intensities at different frequencies, as reported by several solar radio patrol stations, are used to study the spectrum at the time of maximum intensity of medium-sized solar radio events that cover both the centimetric and metric frequency bands. Two types of spectrum can be distinguished: a V-type of spectrum, where the straight lines, that can be drawn to represent the centimetric and the metric branches, meet each other at a frequency somewhere in the decimetric frequency range and a Jump-type of spectrum, where a discontinuity occurs somewhere in the low-frequency part of the decimetric spectrum. The aspect of the radio response at 600 MHz may have a character which is more centrimetric or more metric. Its character tends to correspond to the spectral branch (metric or centimetric) to which, according to the spectrum, the 600 MHz burst belongs. It is concluded that the centimetric and the metric branch of a cm/m-event are largely independent of each other. It is suggested that a Jump-type of spectrum occurs if some condition relating to the coronal magnetic field is fulfilled.  相似文献

Multi-wavelength photometric observations of Cygnus X-3 were carried out at 18 cm through to 450 μm, complemented by X-ray (2–10 keV) observations. The system was mildly active with cm fluxes at 150–250 mJy. We find the spectrum to be flat with a spectral index of zero. Using a modified Wolf-Rayet wind model, and assuming emission is generated in synchrotron emitting jets from the source, we find an upper-limit to the magnetic field of 20 G at a distance 5×1012 cm is required.  相似文献

Very Large Array (VLA) observations of the Sun at 91 and 400 cm wavelength have been used to investigate the radio signatures of EUV heating events and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) detected by SOHO and TRACE. Our 91 cm observations show the onset of Type I noise storm emission about an hour after an EUV ejection event was detected by EIT and TRACE. The EUV event also coincided with the estimated start time of a CME detected by the LASCO C2 coronagraph, suggesting an association between the production of nonthermal particles and evolving plasma-magnetic field structures at different heights in the corona. On another day, our VLA 400 cm observations reveal weak, impulsive microbursts that occurred sporadically throughout the middle corona. These low-brightness-temperature (T b=0.7–22×106 K) events may be weak Type III bursts produced by beams of nonthermal electrons which excite plasma emission at a height where the local plasma frequency or its first harmonic equals the observing frequency of 74 MHz. For one microburst, the emission was contained in two sources separated by 0.7 R 0, indicating that the electron beams had access to widely-divergent magnetic field lines originating at a common site of particle acceleration. Another 400 cm microburst occurred in an arc-like source lying at the edge of EUV loops that appeared to open outward into the corona, possibly signaling the start of a CME. In most instances the 400 cm microbursts were not accompanied by detectable EUV activity, suggesting that particles that produce the microbursts were independently accelerated in the middle corona, perhaps as the result of some quasi-continuous, large-scale process of energy release.  相似文献

为了开拓短厘米波单天线星际分子的观测和研究,在乌鲁木齐天文站25m射电望远镜13mm低温制冷接收机的基础上,配置了声表面波频谱仪和谱线数据采集系统,组成了13mm低温致冷谱线接收机.接收机前端是一个工作在低温20K的低噪声放大器,本振是22GHz的锁相源.接收机的平均噪声温度为50K.后端是一个宽带的(40MHz)高分辨率(40kHz)的声表波频谱仪.利用这套系统观测了一批已知的水脉泽源,观测系统正常,结果合理.观测结果表明,乌鲁木齐天文站良好的站址和25m射电望远镜给厘米波段星际分子谱线观测提供了一个很好的条件.  相似文献

Interplanetary scintillation observations of weak radio sources have been made at a frequency of 102.5 MHz. Sources have been chosen from the Bologna catalogue, with flux densities 0.5 Jy–4.0 Jy at 408 MHz.It has been found that the average scintillation visibility is in agreement with the results of the interferometer observations of Speed and Warwick (1978).A very wide spectral index distribution has been found for weak radio sources at low frequencies, perhaps indicating the presence of a new population of low luminosity, flat spectrum radio sources.  相似文献

We have presented the localization of kinetic Alfvén wave (KAW) in intermediate β plasma (m e /m i ?β?1) by developing a model based on pump kinetic Alfvén wave and finite amplitude magnetosonic fluctuations. When KAW is perturbed by these background magnetosonic fluctuations, filamentary structures of KAW magnetic field are formed. First, a semi analytical model based on paraxial approximation has been developed to understand this evolution process. Localized structures and magnetic fluctuation spectrum of KAW has also been studied numerically for finite frequency of KAW. The calculated magnetic fluctuation spectrum follows two types of scalings. Above the proton gyroradius scale lengths (in inertial range), spectrum follows Kolmogorovian scaling. Below this scale dispersion starts and the spectrum steepens to about \(k_{x}^{-2.5}\) . The result shows the steepening of power spectra which can be responsible for particle acceleration in solar wind due to the energy transfer from larger to smaller lengthscales. Obtained magnetic turbulent spectra are consistent with observations of Cluster spacecraft in solar wind.  相似文献

CCD photometry and MERLIN observations of M87 (Virgo A) have been used to study the variations of the radio to optical spectral index along the jet. In general, the radio spectrum is flatter than the optical one and both become steeper with distance from the nucleus. The optical fluxes of the bright knots lie at or below the extrapolation of the radio spectrum. These properties can be explained by power-law spectra at low frequencies that turn down gradually beyond a cut-off frequency. The location of the local cut-off frequency is estimated by fitting the measured fluxes to the theoretical spectrum of a truncated power-law electron energy distribution. The results are interpreted in terms of models of synchrotron emission from shock waves in extragalactic jets.  相似文献
