本文首先从理论上讨论了北半球冬季低纬度强迫源与中纬度强迫源强迫所产生的准定常行星波在实际基本气流中传播路径及其振幅分布的差异,指出冬季低纬度热源异常将对北半球中、高纬度对流层大气环流的异常起很大影响,而中纬度热源异常将对平流层环流异常起很大作用。 本文应用一个包括Rayleigh摩擦、Newton冷却及水平涡旋热力扩散准地转34层球坐标模式分别计算了冬季低纬度热源异常与中纬度热源异常所造成北半球扰动系统的异常情况,计算结果表明了冬季低纬度热源异常将对中、高纬度对流层大气环流异常起很大作用,热带太平洋上空热源异常将产生PNA型环流异常。  相似文献

在一般斜压大气中,基本气流中包含经圈环流时,定常波传播不仅能穿过东风带,而且明显增强。在基流含有经圈环流的情况下,北半球中纬度地形强迫可引起低纬大气的显著响应,这表明经圈环流在中低纬定常响应的相互联系中起着重要作用;北半球中纬度热力强迫可产生类似北半球夏季季风环流的波列分布,这说明经圈环流在夏季季风环流的形成中起着一定的作用;在赤道东太平洋加热强迫情况下,在冬半球可引起PNA型的定常波传播波列,而在夏半球却没有明显的PNA特征。这表明经圈环流对冬、夏半球的定常波传播路径有着显著的影响。  相似文献

利用T42L9全球大气环流谱模式进行数值试验,以揭示南海夏季风强度异常的特征及其影响.控制试验结果表明,该模式不仅能够很好地模拟出气候平均的西风带槽脊和高低空气流分布以及它们的季节性变化,而且对于与亚洲季风有关的各个主要系统,如南亚高压、副高进退及越赤道气流等都有较强的模拟能力.在亚洲季风区及热带太平洋这一大范围区域的大气内部热源异常强迫下,模式显示出了南海夏季风持续异常的特征、北半球热带外环流的响应以及亚洲季风区降水异常分布.南海夏季风长时间强度异常所引起的大气内部热源异常,一方面通过三维垂直环流的异常联结着南海夏季风对北半球热带内外环流的影响,另一方面它又通过持续异常期的波列传播,即能量的传播,不仅影响我国长江流域降水,还会逐渐影响到北半球中高纬环流结构.这样西风带环流形势将会发生相应的变化和调整,南海夏季风持续异常影响到了北半球大气环流和天气气候的变化.  相似文献

亚洲季风区是全球热力变化最为显著的区域,亚洲夏季风活动必定会对其它环流系统产生影响。本文通过夏季风指数与北半球环流的相关计算以及强、弱季风候北半球环流异常合成的分析发现,亚洲夏季风的活动会激发北半球夏季大气环流遥相关型,其主要相关中心均出现在季风区的下游地区,即从亚洲经太平洋至北美洲一带,除了表现出正负中心交替出现的波列状结构外,该遥相关型在太平洋地区还表现为一对南北向的偶极子异常型,我们将这一遥相关型称为亚洲太平洋北美(APN)型。  相似文献

本文采用一个可用于大气定常波数值试验的线性化原始方程三维谱模式,研究了平流层环流对平流层内各种定常大尺度加热分布的响应.相对于北半球冬季纬向对称的基本状态,讨论了大尺度加热分布对冬季平流层大尺度运动的影响.发现平流层大气除受到对流层的热力强迫作用外,还将受到平流层内热源的影响,由于这种热力强迫作用,在平流层出现了1-2波的环流,但对对流层的环流影响却不大.引入臭氧加热率,使我们进一步证实了臭氧做为平流层中重要的增温因子所起的作用.数值试验的结果表明,臭氧对平流层环流的形成和维持,有着重要的贡献.  相似文献

采用p-σ混合坐标系的5层原始方程模式研究了与澳洲夏季风低频变化相伴随的对流性低频加热源所激发的大气强迫波和东亚冬季风的关系,结果表明澳洲夏季风低频热源可引起北半球副热带高低层环流、东西向Walker环流。经向环流、越赤道气流的低频振荡,其振荡周期、强度与热源的振荡周期、强度有关。结果还进一步表明,澳洲低频热源可激发出扰动的北传,从而引起北半球副热带环流、副热带西风急流的低频振荡,澳洲夏季风活跃后  相似文献

采用1980-2004年NCEP/NCAR再分析资料,从影响越赤道气流的大气内、外强迫因子(主要指大气凝结潜热释放及下垫面热力差异)出发,结合诊断分析和数值试验,探讨了强迫因子对澳洲北部由南向北越赤道气流强弱变化的影响。结果表明,冷澳洲大陆有利于强澳高或频繁冷空气活动的形成,通道南部弱下垫面加热有利于弱Walker环流的形成,南海一中南半岛较强海陆热力差异或菲律宾强对流加热有利于通道北部强辐合带的形成,它们都对应澳洲北部由南向北强越赤道气流的形成。弱越赤道气流对应的强迫因子及环流因子的特征则与上述情况相反。  相似文献

利用NCEP/NCAR再分析资料、Hadley中心海温资料及CMAP降水资料等,通过亚澳季风联合指数挑选异常年份,对东亚夏季风和澳洲冬季风强度反相变化特征进行研究。结果表明,当东亚夏季风偏强、澳洲冬季风偏弱时,南北半球中低纬地区都出现了复杂的异常环流系统。在热带地区对流层低层,西北太平洋为异常反气旋式环流系统所控制,与南太平洋赤道辐合带的异常反气旋环流在赤道地区发生耦合,形成赤道异常东风,而在南北印度洋上则存在两个异常气旋式环流系统。在这两对异常环流之间的海洋性大陆地区,出现赤道以南为反气旋环流而赤道以北为气旋式环流。在东亚季风区,东南沿海的东侧海洋上存在反气旋异常,中国东南地区受异常反气旋西南侧的东南风影响。此外,澳洲北部受异常西风影响。这就形成了东亚夏季风偏强、澳洲冬季风偏弱的情形,从而东亚夏季风和澳洲冬季风活动出现了强弱互补的变化特征。当东亚夏季风偏弱、澳洲冬季风偏强时,南北半球的环流特征则出现与上述相反的环流特征。总体而言,当东亚夏季风偏强、澳洲冬季风偏弱时,东亚—澳洲季风区在南北半球呈现出不同的气候异常分布特征,即北半球降水北少南多、气温北高南低,南半球降水西多东少、气温西高东低。  相似文献

根据10年实测风资料,在分析南、北半球纬向风场和经向风场演变的基础上,发现长江中下游6—7月持续性多雨年的大气环流的季节变化上有异常现象;即在南半球比常年提前1—2个月结束夏季,在北半球比常年推迟1—2个月进入盛夏。这种异常现象表明长江中下游持续性多雨是全球尺度大气环流异常的反映,为持续性多雨的长期预报提供了新的依据。  相似文献

Arctic sea ice concentration (ASIC) in boreal autumn exhibits prominent interannual variability since 1979. The physical mechanism responsible for the year-to-year variation of ASIC is investigated through observational data analyses and idealized numerical modeling. It is found that the ASIC interannual variability is closely associated with the anomalous meridional circulations over the Northern Hemisphere, which is further linked with the tropical sea surface temperature (SST) forcing. A tropics-wide SST cooling anomaly leads to an enhanced meridional SST gradient to the north of the equator in boreal summer, generating strengthened and northward shifting Hadley circulation over the Northern Hemisphere. Consequently, the meridional circulations are enhanced and pushed poleward, leading to an enhanced descending motion at the North Pole, surrounded by an ascending motion anomaly; the surface outflow turns into easterly anomalies, opposing the mean-state winds. As a result, positive cloudiness and weakened surface wind speed emerge, which reduce ASIC through changes in the surface latent heat flux and the downward longwave radiation.  相似文献

We consider how a highly idealized double-hemisphere basin responds to a zonally constant restoring surface temperature profile that oscillates in time, with periods ranging from 0.5 to 32,000 years. In both hemispheres, the forcing is similar but can be either in phase or out of phase. The set-up is such that the Northern Hemisphere always produces the densest waters. The model’s meridional overturning circulation (MOC) exhibits a strong response in both hemispheres on decadal to multi-millennial timescales. The amplitude of the oscillations reaches up to 140% of the steady-state maximum MOC and exhibits resonance-like behaviour, with a maximum at centennial to millennial forcing periods. When the forcing is in phase between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, there is a marked decrease in the amplitude of the MOC response as the forcing period is increased beyond the resonance period. In this case the resonance-like behaviour is identical to the one we found earlier in a single-hemisphere model and occurs for the same reasons. When the forcing is out of phase between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, the amplitude of the MOC response is substantially greater for long forcing periods (millennial and longer), particularly in the Southern Hemisphere. This increased MOC amplitude occurs because for an out of phase forcing, either the northern or the southern deep water source is always active, leading to generally colder bottom waters and thus greater stratification in the opposite hemisphere. This increased stratification in turn stabilises the water column and thus reduces the strength of the weaker overturning cell. The interaction of the two hemispheres leads to response timescales of the deep ocean at half the forcing period. Our results suggest a possible explanation for the half-precessional time scale observed in the deep Atlantic Ocean palaeo-temperature record.  相似文献

Based on researches made by the author in recent years, discussion is made of the quasi-40-day oscillation (QDO) nature and its characteristic propagation, with emphasis on the Southern Hemisphere mid-latitude quasi-periodic cold air forcing on the tropical atmosphere quasi-40-day oscillation along with its effect upon the Northern Hemisphere summer monsoon. It is proposed that the interaction between, or lateral coupling of, meridional circulation systems may serve as the mechanism of the oscillation propagation in a meridional direction.  相似文献

对GOALS4 .0海 陆 气耦合模式的相关部分进行了改进 ,主要改进包括温室气体的扩充和硫酸盐气溶胶“显式”方案的引入 ,并引入 2 0世纪温室气体的实际浓度变化以及硫循环模式模拟的硫酸盐气溶胶的三维全球浓度分布 ,模拟了温室气体和硫酸盐气溶胶造成的辐射强迫的空间分布和时间变化。全球平均的温室气体和硫酸盐气溶胶的辐射强迫分别为 2 .17W /m2 和 - 0 .2 9W /m2 ;温室气体造成的辐射强迫在空间上呈现明显的纬向结构 ,最大值 (大于 2 .5W/m2 )和最小值 (小于 1W /m2 )分别位于副热带和两极地区 ,在北半球主要工业区硫酸盐气溶胶的辐射强迫绝对值接近温室气体的辐射强迫值 (大于 - 2 .0W /m2 )。  相似文献

The midlatitude westerlies are one of the major components of the global atmospheric circulation. They play an important role in midlatitude weather and climate, and are particularly significant in interpreting aeolian sediments. In this study, we analyzed the behavior and the possible mechanism involved in the change of the westerlies, mainly in terms of the jet stream position, in the mid-Pliocene warm period(3.3 to 3.0 million years ago) using simulations of 15 climate models from the Pliocene Model Intercomparison Project(Plio MIP). Compared to the reference period, the mid-Pliocene midlatitude westerlies generally shifted poleward(approximately 3.6 of latitude in the Northern Hemisphere and 1.9 of latitude in the Southern Hemisphere at 850 h Pa level) with a dipole pattern. The dipole pattern of the tropospheric zonal wind anomalies was closely related to the change of the tropospheric meridional temperature gradient as a result of thermal structure adjustment.The poleward shift of the midlatitude westerly jet corresponded to the poleward shift of the mean meridional circulation.The sea surface temperatures and sea ice may have affected the simulated temperature structure and zonal winds, causing the spread of the westerly anomalies in the mid-Pliocene between the atmosphere-only and coupled atmosphere–ocean general circulation model simulations.  相似文献

Northern Hemisphere circulations differ considerably between individual El Niño-Southern Oscillation events due to internal atmospheric variability and variation in the zonal location of sea surface temperature forcing over the tropical Pacific Ocean. This study examines the similarities between recent Northern Hemisphere droughts associated with La Niña events and anomalously warm tropical west Pacific sea surface temperatures during 1988–1989, 1998–2000, 2007–2008 and 2010–2011 in terms of the hemispheric-scale circulations and the regional forcing of precipitation over North America and Asia during the cold season of November through April. The continental precipitation reductions associated with recent central Pacific La Niña events were most severe over North America, eastern Africa, the Middle East and southwest Asia. High pressure dominated the entire Northern Hemisphere mid-latitudes and weakened and displaced storm tracks northward over North America into central Canada. Regionally over North America and Asia, the position of anomalous circulations within the zonal band of mid-latitude high pressure varied between each La Niña event. Over the northwestern and southeastern United States and southern Asia, the interactions of anomalous circulations resulted in consistent regional temperature advection, which was subsequently balanced by similar precipitation-modifying vertical motions. Over the central and northeastern United States, the spatial variation of anomalous circulations resulted in modest inter-seasonal temperature advection variations, which were balanced by varying vertical motion and precipitation patterns. Over the Middle East and eastern Africa, the divergence of moisture and the advection of dry air due to anomalous circulations enhanced each of the droughts.  相似文献
