The objective of this study was to confirm if MTBE, which is not intentionally added to fuels other than gasoline, is a contaminant in heating oil and diesel fuel. The study entailed conducting a statewide sampling program of heating oil and diesel fuel in Connecticut. An analytical method was developed to conduct analyses of heating oil and diesel fuel for MTBE in the milligram per liter (mg/L) range. The method involved equilibrating product with water to extract MTBE followed by static head-space analysis on aliquots of the water. Analyses were conducted using a gas chromatograph with a MTBE specific column. The statewide sampling program confirmed the widespread occurrence of MTBE in heating oil and diesel fuel. MTBE was detected in all samples collected during our sampling program at concentrations ranging from 9.7 to 906 mg/L in heating oil (26 samples), and from 74 to 120 mg/L in diesel fuel (five samples). Based on these ranges. MTBE concentrations in ground water in the vicinity of heating oil and diesel fuel releases could exceed thousands of micrograms per liter. Our analysis would suggest that the levels of heating oil and diesel fuel contamination observed could result from the commingling of only a few parts gasoline with thousands of parts of these fuels. The extent to which MTBE occurs in heating oil and diesel fuel nationwide is not known, but our data suggests that it may be widespread.  相似文献

研究盆地的热历史将为确定生烃过程和探勘目标提供重要制约因素。磷灰石裂变径迹研究表明,六盘山盆地白垩系地层经历两次埋深加热事件。第一次在白垩经末之前达到最高古地温,第二次在晚新生代约8MaB.P.之前达到最高古地温.第一次最高古地温要高于第二次最高古地温.晚新生代六盘山盆地古地温梯度为16℃/km.从白垩纪到新生代,六盘山盆地可能发生古地温梯度降低事件.三叠纪、中侏罗统烃源岩达到或超过生油高峰温度.白垩纪乃家河组和马东山组虽然进入生油窗温度范围,但未达到生油峰温度.按照古地温资料推断,三叠纪、中侏罗统烃源岩应为六盘山盆地主要生烃源岩,晚白垩纪之前应为六盘山盆地烃源岩的主要生烃阶段.  相似文献

There are mainly 3 kinds of existing states of oil generating from source rocks, that is, dispersive liquid hydrocarbon inside of source rock, dispersive liquid hydrocarbon outside of source rock and concentrated liquid hydrocarbon outside of source rock. Because of the differences in thermal history and medium conditions around, and the interaction of organic and inorganic matter, the liquid hydrocarbon with 3 kinds of existing state has different cracking conditions. The gas generation dynamics experiments of crude oil matching different mediums indicate that the distribution of activation energy of methane changes a lot according to medium difference. The carbonate has a main influence on oil cracking conditions and can largely reduce its activation energy, which reflects the lower cracking temperature of crude oil. The mudstone takes a second place and the sandstone is the smallest. The catalytic cracking function to the oil of the carbonate, of the mudstone and of the sandstone changes weaken in turn. The corresponding R o values of main gas generation period in different mediums are as follows: 1.5%–3.8% with pure crude oil, 1.2%–3.2% with dispersive crude oil in carbonate, 1.3%~3.4% with dispersive crude oil in mudstone and 1.4%–3.6% with dispersive crude oil in sandstone. The influence of pressure to crude oil cracking is relatively complicated. In the low heating speed condition, pressure restrains the oil cracking and gas generation, but in the high heating speed condition, pressure has an indistinctive influence to the oil cracking and gas generation. Pressure also makes a different effort in different evolvement stage. Taking the middle and lower Cambrian source rocks in the Tarim Basin as an example, primary oil generating quantity is 2232.24×108t, residual oil and oil cracking gas quantity is 806.21×108t and 106.95×1012m3 respectively.  相似文献

The paper presents the assessment of emission sources and health risk of 16 PAHs in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia, with developed oil, food, chemical and cement industry. Although the observed region has been previously studied with regard to the occurrence of PAHs in ambient air, the sources of emission and health risk using multivariate statistical methods have never been studied before. The research was conducted during the heating and non-heating periods at three sampling sites located in industrial, residential and high-traffic area. The samples were collected by high-volume air sampler and analysed using the GC/MS system. The data were processed using the positive matrix factorization (PMF) and cluster analysis. To assess the cancer-risk of PAHs, potency equivalency factor approach was used. The results of PMF analysis have indicated that significant sources of PAH emissions are industrial processes and diesel combustion during the non-heating, and coal combustion, heating plants and diesel combustion during the heating season. Cluster analysis of experimental data has confirmed the results obtained using the PMF method. Estimated values of lifetime lung cancer risk were higher than those set by the World Health Organization and US Environmental Protection Agency which indicates that cancer risk due to exposure to PAHs in ambient air exists in both time periods on the territory of Novi Sad.  相似文献

根据区内钻井测温和镜质体反射率RO资料,在该区现今地温场分析的基础上,采用岩石圈和盆地尺度相结合的多期热演化模型对该区的热史进行了恢复.结果表明:(1)现今地温梯度为35.8℃/km.孤岛及垦东地区地温梯度较高,大于3℃/km.(2)古新世早期的大地热流值为83.6mW/m2,相当于现代活动裂谷的热流值.自古新世以来,盆地有逐步变冷的趋势,中间有二次回升,但回升的幅度逐渐变小.现今大地热流值为63mW/m2,接近全球大地热流的平均值.(3)该区主力烃源岩经历了持续的受热过程,现今仍处于“生油窗口”内,在深度上具有较大的油气赋存空间,热演化背景对油气生成有利.上述模拟结果可以用渤海湾盆地的裂谷演化模式进行较好的解释,并对胜利油田沾化凹陷的油气勘探工作具有一定的实际意义.  相似文献

To improve the oleophilic/hydrophobic properties of polyurethane (PU) foams for oil spill cleanup, PU samples were modified by grafting with oleophilic monomer Lauryl methacrylate (LMA) in solvent and/or coating with LMA microspheres through heating and curing. Modified PU cubes were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The water sorption of modified PU cubes was decreased by 24-50%, while the diesel or kerosene sorption of modified PU cubes was increased by 18-27%. In water-oil system, compared with blank PU cubes, the sorption capacity of PU cubes grafted with LMA was increased by 44% for diesel and 100% for kerosene. The sorption capacity of PU cubes coated with LMA microspheres was increased by 20% for diesel and 7% for kerosene. The solvent sorption of modified PU cubes could reach 50-69 g/g. The modified PU cubes can be effectively used in oil/solvent spill cleanup.  相似文献

The temperature rise caused by frictional heating during seismic slip is able to indicate dynamic frictional properties of the seismic fault,which provides an approach to understand the dynamic process and energy budget of an earthquake.The residual indicators of frictional heating within the fault zone also can be taken as an evidence for seismic events.The vitrinite reflectance is a commonly-used geothermometer in the coal,oil and gas industries.It also has some potential applications in the studies of fault rock and fault mechanics.We studied vitrinite reflectance (VR) of fault rocks collected from surface outcrops of the Wenchuan earthquake fault zone in this paper.The measured data reveal that the VR of fault rocks are affected by fault motion,and there is a trend that the VR increases towards the fault core,which indicates the effects of frictional heating.The VR of fault rocks from the Bajiaomiao outcrop is much higher than those from the Shenxigou outcrop,which probably suggests the difference in fault activity at the two outcrops.Our study also suggests that systematic measurement of VR across the fault zone is helpful in identifying slip zones and determining their widths.From the VR measurement on an oriented specimen containing the slip surface of the Wenchuan earthquake from the Shenxigou outcrop,we observed anomalous high VR values in two black-colored slip zones of about 2mm in width near the slip surface.The numerical calculation shows that the maximum temperature rise on the fault plane near Shenxigou was probably less than 162℃ during the Wenchuan earthquake,which means the dynamic fault strength was quite low.These estimations are roughly in accord with the results from the high-velocity frictional experiments.  相似文献

A laboratory installation has been developed together with a technique for determining thermo-physical properties (thermal conductivity and specific heat) in cylindrical rock specimens. The technique is based on iTOUGH2-EOS3 inversion modeling using temperature measurements inside specimens as a result of their short-term heating and subsequent return to the initial temperature. We estimated the thermal conductivity and specific heat for a collection of volcanogenic petrotypes that reflect the rocks that compose the Rogozhnikovskii volcanogenic oil reservoir (29 specimens). The average thermal conductivity of the dry rocks is 1.47 W/m °C and the average specific heat is 754 kJ/kg °C; the reproducibility of this estimation is 2.2% for thermal conductivity and 0.7% for specific heat.  相似文献

Two comparative simulation experiments(a normal atmospheric-pressure opening system and a 20 MPa closed system)were conducted to study the geochemical evolution of n-alkane,sterane,and terpane biomarkers in the process of oil cracking into gas under different pressures.With an initial experimental temperature set at 300°C,the temperature was increased to 650°C at a heating rate of 30°C/h.The products were tested every 50°C starting at 300°C,and a pressure of 20 MPa was achieved using a water column.The low-maturity crude oil sample was from the Paleogene system in the Dongying sag in eastern China.The threshold temperature obtained for the primary oil cracking process in both pressure systems was 450°C.Before the oil was cracked into gas,some components,including macromolecular n-alkanes,were cracked into medium-or small-sized n-alkanes.The secondary oil cracking of heavy hydrocarbon gases of C2–5to methane mainly occurred between 550°C to 650°C,and the parameters Ln(C1/C2)and Ln(C1/C3),as well as the dry coefficients,increased.Overpressure inhibited the oil cracking process.In the 20 MPa system,the oil conversion rate decreased,the temperature threshold for gas generation rose,and oil cracking was inhibited.Compared with the normal pressure system,high-carbon n-alkanes and other compounds in the 20 MPa pressure system were reserved.Furthermore,the parameters∑C21-/∑22+,Ln(C1/C2),and Ln(C1/C3),as well as the dry coefficients,decreased within the main temperature range.During secondary oil cracking(550°C to 600°C),the Ph/nC18and Pr/nC17decreased.High pressure influenced the evolution of the biomarkers Ts and Tm,C31homohopane,C29sterane,and their related maturity parameters to different extents during oil cracking under different temperature ranges.  相似文献

The effect of short-term exposure to high concentration (mg l.?1) of water soluble fraction of aromatic heating oil on subsequent egg production by the estuarine copepod Eurytemora affinis has been studied in laboratory cultures to investigate possibly sublethal biological effects following exposure to hydrocarbon under an oil spill. Significant reduction in subsequent length of life, total number of eggs produced, mean brood size, and rate of egg production was observed. Exposure to naphthalene alone at 1 mg l.?1 for 24 h produced a significant effect on total fecundity of the females. Ingestion rates were significantly lower when measured in the presence of the water soluble fraction, and also naphthalene alone at mg l.?1 concentrations. Exposure to low-levels (10 and 50 μg l.?1) of 14C-naphthalene alone over a period of ten days produced no significant effect on feeding or reproduction despite the high concentrations of hydrocarbon accumulated during this period. The results are discussed in relation to previous work on the fate of hydrocarbons in planktonic copepods, using 14C-1-naphthalene as a model compound.  相似文献

基于电离层中电子的加热物理机制,构建了左旋圆极化(X波)欠密加热理论仿真模型,通过对已知实验的模拟验证了模型的正确性.并利用此模型分析和研究了不同加热参数和背景参数对X波欠密加热效果的影响,结果表明,在X波欠密加热中,加热效果随加热功率增加而增强,随加热频率增加而减弱,在相当的加热条件下,背景电子温度越低、电子密度越小,加热效果越强.最后简单分析了X波欠密加热的一些应用.  相似文献

热演化历史的研究对于盆地分析和油气勘探具有重要意义.北黄海盆地是中国近海海域油气勘探程度较低的盆地之一,迄今未见专门的热演化研究报道.笔者利用北黄海盆地中生代砂岩的磷灰石裂变径迹分析结果,结合地质条件约束,模拟获得了中生代以来盆地的热演化史.结果表明,北黄海盆地经历了两次增温和两次冷却的热演化过程,并在100-80 Ma时盆地的热历史出现明显变化,表明在晚白垩世北黄海盆地发生过一次较大的构造-热事件.磷灰石裂变径迹分析所表明的北黄海盆地的热历史与盆地原型演化阶段相对应,而这种热历史和盆地的演化过程与区域构造背景相关.磷灰石裂变径迹所揭示的热演化史对于深化认识北黄海盆地的地质演化过程和油气勘探潜力具有重要意义.  相似文献

The problem of coronal plasma heating is discussed based on coronal magnetic loop heating. The radiation loss in coronal plasma is very high; therefore, it is necessary that rather powerful heating sources exist in this plasma in order to maintain the corona in a quasistationary state. The existing heating mechanisms (current dissipation, magnetic reconnection, microflares, wave heating) are briefly considered from the standpoint of their effectiveness and elaboration. A conclusion has been drawn that heating by microflares and wave heating can be the most promising mechanisms from the standpoint of energy. The mechanism of heating by magnetic reconnection has not yet been studied in detail from the standpoint of its effectiveness and implementation conditions. Heating as a result of Joule dissipation of electric currents is only possible when current filamentation is strong, the presence of which cannot be verified since the equipment resolution is still insufficient.  相似文献

针对低电离层幅度调制加热过程中甚低频/极低频(VLF/ELF)激发效率较低的问题,该文利用低电离层调制加热模型分析方波幅度调制加热过程中占空比和加热频率对VLF/ELF辐射效率的影响,在此基础上获得最大VLF/ELF辐射效率下的优化占空比和加热频率选择范围.研究表明,随着调制波占空比的增大,激发的VLF/ELF等效辐射源强度先增大后减小,占空比的优化范围为40%~70%;随着加热频率的增大,激发的VLF/ELF等效辐射源强度先增大后减小,加热频率的优化范围为(0.8~0.9)倍低电离层临界频率.  相似文献

时移地震储藏监测是一种提高油气采收率的有效技术,但该技术应用需要满足一定的储藏条件,因此时移地震的可行性研究非常有必要.天然气水合物的开采过程,主要是通过有关措施(加温、降压、注入化学材料等)使沉积物中的固态水合物变成气体开采出来,这将改变水合物储层的物理性质和地震反射特性,原理上为进行时移地震监测提供了条件.本文通过数值模拟分析发现:扩散型水合物藏在开采过程中有明显的地震信号变化,可以用时移地震对这类水合物藏的开采进行监测;渗漏型水合物藏的时移地震监测是否可行与其所含气体含量大小有关,气体含量低的可以用时移地震进行检测,气体含量高的是否能用时移地震进行检测要视具体情况而定.  相似文献

Fractional crystallization of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) produced from waste cooking oil or animal fats was performed in a laboratory-scale facility. The raw esters and the “winterization” products were analyzed by determining the FAME pattern, iodine and peroxide numbers as well as oxidation stabilities and element concentrations. Fractionation experiments under air and nitrogen were conducted, but no differences concerning oxidative stability were observed. By improvement of the winterization and washing the filtration residue with methanol, the enrichment of saturated FAME in one step was raised up to a technically sufficient rate of 85%. Absorption of oxygen by FAME at different temperatures was measurable. Volatile decomposition products were registrated after heating the FAME at different temperatures. It was shown that antioxidants like butylhydroxytoluene or α-tocopherol were enriched in the phase of unsaturated FAME. This effect obviously affected the oxidative stability of the fraction of saturated FAME during winterization, although no oxidative damage of FAME was detectable at temperatures up to 20°C.  相似文献

Results on heating the ionospheric F region above Tromsø, Norway are presented. The ionosphere was monitored by satellite tomography and amplitude scintillation methods as well as the EISCAT incoherent scatter radar. No effect of heating was observed in the daytime. In the evening and in the pre-midnight sector, noticeable tilts of the F region were observed during heating periods. The tilts overlapped the heating cone, where the electron density decreased and irregularities exceeding 10 km in size appeared. Between the heating periods the F layer was restored to its horizontal shape. The anisotropic parameters of small-scale irregularities with scale lengths of hundreds of metres were also determined. It was found that the perpendicular anisotropy points in the direction of F region plasma flow. In some cases the results can be explained by assuming that the small-scale irregularities were generated within the heating cone and drifted out of the heating region where they were subsequently observed.  相似文献

The influence of gravity waves on photochemical heating in the mesopause region is studied in this paper. The results indicate that gravity waves can cause a loss of photochemical heating in the region of the mesopause. The influences of the variation of background temperature and of atomic oxygen density on the loss of photochemical heating induced by gravity waves are discussed. The results indicate that, as background temperature decreases, or as the background atomic oxygen density increases, the gravity wave induced loss of photochemical heating increases and the ratio between it and the background photochemical heating rate also increases.  相似文献

Analytical estimates for three important and general planetary heating processes, excluding radioactive heating, are presented: accretional heating, adiabatic compression and core formation. The relative importance of these processes appears to be as follows. Accretional heating is important for almost all planets and satellites including asteroid-size bodies. Heating due to core formation becomes important for objects which are similar to, or larger than the terrestrial planets. Compressional heating is important only for the outer cores and the envelopes of the giant planets, provided that they are heated, before compression, up to about 1000 K.  相似文献

An attempt to diagnose the dominant forcings which drive the large-scale vertical velocities over the monsoon region has been made by computing the forcings like diabatic heating fields,etc. and the large-scale vertical velocities driven by these forcings for the contrasting periods of active and break monsoon situations; in order to understand the rainfall variability associated with them. Computation of diabatic heating fields show us that among different components of diabatic heating it is the convective heating that dominates at mid-tropospheric levels during an active monsoon period; whereas it is the sensible heating at the surface that is important during a break period. From vertical velocity calculations we infer that the prime differences in the large-scale vertical velocities seen throughout the depth of the atmosphere are due to the differences in the orders of convective heating; the maximum rate of latent heating being more than 10 degrees Kelvin per day during an active monsoon period; whereas during a break monsoon period it is of the order of 2 degrees Kelvin per day at mid-tropospheric levels. At low levels of the atmosphere, computations show that there is large-scale ascent occurring over a large spatial region, driven only by the dynamic forcing associated with vorticity and temperature advection during an active monsoon period. However, during a break monsoon period such large-scale spatial organization in rising motion is not seen. It is speculated that these differences in the low-level large-scale ascent might be causing differences in convective heating because the weaker the low level ascent, the lesser the convective instability which produces deep cumulus clouds and hence lesser the associated latent heat release. The forcings due to other components of diabatic heating, namely, the sensible heating and long wave radiative cooling do not influence the large-scale vertical velocities significantly.  相似文献
