High-energy proton (E p > 55 MeV) and electron (E e > 50 keV) events were observed by University of Iowa experiments on the satellites Explorer 33 and 35. The solar X-ray (2–12 Å) flares associated with the energetic proton events were found to have in general higher peak fluxes, considerably longer decay times (t) and smaller rise to decay time ratios (r) than the X-ray flares associated with the electron events. The most common decay times and rise to decay time ratios are: 80 t 100 min, 0.1 r 0.2 for the proton X-ray flares and t 20 min, 0.3 r 0.7 for the electron ones.  相似文献

The center-limb behavior of C2, CH, CN, CO, and MgH lines have been analyzed using five photospheric models. A three-stream model developed by G. Elste gave the most satisfactory results, providing evidence for the existence of inhomogeneities in the photospheric layers - 2.5 log 5000 -0.5.  相似文献

We give the fifth list of red stars of the First Byurakan Spectral Sky Survey. The objects are located in the zone 5h 18h 30m and +65 +69. The list contains the data on 18 new objects, one of which is a star of class R. We also give the first determination of the spectral class of 11 variable objects, for four of which we give the spectrograms in the range of wavelengths 4700–6700å.Translated fromAstrofizika, Vol. 37, No. 4, 1994.  相似文献

Soft solar X-rays (8 gl 12 Å) were observed from OSO-III. An analysis of the X-ray enhancements associated with 165 solar flares revealed that there is a tendency for a weak soft X-ray enhancement to precede the cm- burst and H flare. The peak soft X-ray flux follows the cm- peak by about 4 min, on the average. Additionally, it was found that flare-rich active centers tend to produce flares which are stronger X-ray and cm- emitters than are flares which take place in flare-poor active centers.  相似文献

A map of the Moon at 2 cm wavelength is presented. The angular ( 1arc) and temperature resolution (< 0.1 K) is sufficient to study systematic details of the brightness distribution. In particular, the centre-to-limb variation is considered. An estimate of the dielectric constant is possible (1.4 2.5). The existence of a temperature gradient in the lunar surface layers is used to derive the depth of penetration of electromagnetic waves (L e ), which isL e 8 m for 2 cm wavelength. The parameters derived from the 2 cm map are found to be compatible with those obtained from a former observation at 6 cm wavelength.  相似文献

In a previous publication (1977) the author has constructed a family () of long-periodic orbits in the Trojan case of the restricted problems of three bodies. Here he constructs the domain of the analytical solution of the problem of the motion, excluding the vicinity of thecritical divisor which vanishes at the exact commensurability of the natural frequencies 1 and 2. In terms of thecritical masses mj(2), or the associatedcritical energies j 2 (m), is the intersection of the intervals ofshallow resonance, of the form. Inasmuch as the intervals |2j 2 |<j ofdeep resonance aredisjoint, it follows that (1) the disjointed family () embraces the tadpole branch, 021, lying in: and (2) despite the clustering of j 2 (m) atj=, the family () includes, for 2=1, an asymptoticseparatrix that terminates the branch in the vicinity of the Lagrangian pointL 3.In a similar manner, the family () can be extended to the horseshoe branch 1<2 2 2 .  相似文献

Two-dimensional isophotes of the extreme solar corona (r max 45 R ) have been derived from integrated vidicon pictures taken from the Moon's surface by the unmanned probes Surveyors 6 and 7. These data were calibrated through use of previously published values for the coronal brightness gradient along the ecliptic. The resulting structure of the outer corona is compared to ground-based observations of the innermost corona 1.125 r/R 2.0 made by the High Altitude Observatory K-coronameter. The possible existence of a streamer seen by Surveyor 7 is analyzed over the region 15 r 22.5 R .  相似文献

The shifts of Fraunhofer lines of different chemical elements in a homogeneous medium with a plane monochromatic progressive adiabatic sound waves are derived. The calculations indicate that lines of neutral elements (6 0 14) with lower excitation potentials 0 i= 0–2 eV are red shifted, those with excitation potential 0 i= 4–12 eV are blue shifted, and with 0 i= 3 eV are both blue and red shifted. The lines of ions are shifted toward the blue. The shifts of Fraunhofer lines are found to decrease from the centre of the solar disk to the limb. These results agree qualitatively and quantitatively with observations.  相似文献

Residual intensity fluctuation measurements within the wings of the 5183.6 Mgi b1 line, obtained from two, high-resolution, high-dispersion, Sacramento Peak Observatory spectrograms, have been subtracted from intensity fluctuations in the adjacent continuum in order to isolate fluctuations associated exclusively with line formation. The useable spectral range for studying these lineformation fluctuations is restricted to wavelengths between 1040 and 7170 km because the subtraction increases the relative importance of noise and large-scale photographic variations across the spectrograms could not be completely removed. Power and cross-power (coherence and phase) spectra proved to be valuable diagnostic tools in isolating line-formation fluctuations.Over this spectral range, the line-formation fluctuations are characterized by flat power spectra as compared to those for continuum fluctuations, appreciable fluctuation rms relative to that for continuum fluctuations, and the necessity to multiply the wing fluctuations by a factor 0.95 min 1.00 to most effectively isolate these fluctuations (Figures 3 and 4). That continuum fluctuations are modified in shape but otherwise not drastically changed in the line wings explains the flat spectrum. The relative rms's vary from 0.34 in the inner wing to 0.22 in the outer. The range of possible values for min results from uncertainties in the photographic density-residual intensity calibration.  相似文献

On the basis of a review of data on the effective cross-sections of particle interactions, computations of the effective electron-neutron interaction, of the cross-section values for H, H2 and He were carried out in the range 0.8 1.7 and 2.5 logP g 6.5. The mean cross-sections for the solar mixture used by Zwaan were computed (see Table II). Using these results, the values of the electric conductivity and of its anisotropy coefficient were computed (see Tables VII and VIII), as well as other auxiliary quantities. The conductivity values obtained are in the range from 5 × 109 to 5 × 1012 CGSE units for the assumed physical conditions. On leave from the Astronomical Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Ondejov, Czechoslovakia.  相似文献

A series of 31 large scale spectra of the spicules near H8-He lines 3889 Å has been photographed at different heights (1500–5000 km) with 53-cm coronagraph. The solar image was 121 mm in diameter, dispersion and spatial resolution were respectively 0.647 Å mm–1 and 1–2. Equivalent widths of both lines have been measured and ratio R = EWHe/EWH8 was obtained. T e(h) distribution in the averaged spicule deduced differs from that in the recent spicule model by Beckers (1972): the spicules are colder greatly than it was accepted hitherto (T e 10000 K). The electron temperature in the quiescent prominence which occurred in the spectra was also estimated: T e 6000 K at h = 4000 and 5000 km.  相似文献

We deal here with the efficient starting points for Kepler's equation in the special case of nearly parabolic orbits. Our approach provides with very simple formulas that allow calculating these points on a scientific vest-pocket calculator. Moreover, srtarting with these points in the Newton's method we can calculate a root of Kepler's equation with an accuracy greater than 0.001 in 0–2 iterations. This accuracy holds for the true anomaly || 135° and |e – 1| 0.01. We explain the reason for this effect also.Dedicated to the memory of Professor G.N. Duboshin (1903–1986).  相似文献

I find that a one-dimensional strong coronal shock (M s 3) will grow outward until the Mach number (M s ) ceases to increase with height (dM s /dh = 0). The shock is driven by the pressure gradient and it is damped by gravity and by energy losses (radiative and conductive). The driving and damping terms reach equilibrium for M s - 4.Standard shock jump conditions for M s - 4 lead to post-shock temperatures in the corona in the range 107 to 1.8 × 107K and emission measures from 3.8 × 1047 to 3.8 × 1048 cm-3. For isolated simple events, I predict an exponential decay of the emission measure with decay times in the range 1 6.5 min.In a detailed study of over 4000 X-ray bursts, Drake (1970) compares 1 to 6 keV X-ray data with 7.7 to 12.5 keV X-ray data (the thermal component) and finds ranges for the temperatures of 1.2 × 107 to 1.8 × 107K, for the emission measures of 5.1 × 1047 to 3.8 x 1048 cm-3 and for the decay times 0.5 20 min. He also finds that the emission measure varies ... both from event to event and within the event, by more than a factor of two.The agreement between the predictions and the observations makes it appear that a strong shock in the corona will produce a post-shock state that yields the observed characteristics of the soft component of X-ray bursts (the thermal X-rays).I give several examples where sprays and fast eruptive prominences 1} \right)$$ " align="middle" border="0"> , that are not associated with solar flares, are associated with thermal X-ray bursts. There were two slow eruptive prominences (M 1) in the sample, and neither of them yielded a detectable X-ray burst. Now at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy (NASA), Univ. of New Mexico; Albuquerque, N.M. 87106.  相似文献
