The Karakoram Shear Zone is a northwest-southeast trending dextral ductile shear zone, which has affected the granitic and granodioritic bodies of the southern Asian Plate margin in three distinct episodes. The ductile shearing of the granitic bodies at Tangste and Darbuk has resulted in the development of mylonites with mylonitic foliation and stretching lineation. More intense deformation is noted in the Tangste granite grading up to orthomylonite, as compared to the Darbuk granite. Kinematic indicators include S-C foliation, synthetic C′ and C″ antithetic shear bands, Type A s-mantled porphyroclasts, oblique quartz foliation, micro-shears with bookshelf gliding, mineral fishes including Group 2 mica fishes, and Type 1 and 2a pull-apart microstructures, and exhibit strong dextral sense of ductile shearing towards southeast. The textural features of the minerals, especially that of quartz and feldspar, indicate temperature of mylonitisation ranging between 300 and 500°C in the upper greenschist facies, and appear to have been evolved during exhumation as a consequence of oblique strike-slip movements along the Karakoram shear zone.  相似文献

定结地区位于喜马拉雅造山带中段 ,发育有多方向、多尺度、多层次、多期次的韧性剪切带。在剪切带中 ,各种韧性变形组构极为丰富 ,表明剪切带岩石的变形主要为韧性变形机制所致。变形岩石类型为花岗质糜棱岩、长英质糜棱岩和硅质糜棱岩 ;由于岩石受糜棱岩化作用程度的不同 ,在韧性剪切带中发育糜棱岩化岩石、初糜棱岩、糜棱岩及超糜棱岩 ;剪切带岩石的变形温度为 2 0 8~ 5 5 9℃。  相似文献

The Olinghouse fault zone is one of several NE—ENE-trending fault zones and lineaments, including the Midas Trench and the Carson—Carson Sink Lineament, which exhibit left-lateral transcurrent movement conjugate to the Walker Lane in western Nevada. The active portion of this fault zone extends for approximately 23 km, from 16 km east of Reno, Nevada, to the southern extent of Pyramid Lake. The fault can be traced for most of its length from its geomorphic expression in the hilly terrain, and it is hidden only where overlain by recent alluvial sediments. Numerous features characteristic of strike-slip faulting can be observed along the fault, including: scarps, vegetation lines, sidehill and shutter ridges, sag ponds, offset stream channels and stone stripes, enclosed rhombohedral and wedge-shaped depressions, and en-echelon fractures.A shear zone having a maximum observable width of 1.3 km is defined principally by Riedel shears and their symmetrical P-shears, with secondary definition by deformed conjugate Riedel shears. Several continuous horizontal shears, or principal displacement shears, occupy the axial portion of the shear zone. The existence of P-shears and principal displacement shears suggests evolution of movement along the fault zone analogous to the “Post-Peak” or “Pre-Residual Structure” stage.Historic activity (1869) has established the seismic potential of this zone. Maximum intensities and plots of the isoseismals indicate the 1869 Olinghouse earthquake had a magnitude of 6.7. Field study indicates the active length of the fault zone is at least 23 km and the maximum 1869 displacement was 3.65 m of left-slip. From maximum fault length and maximum fault displacement to earthquake magnitude relations, this corresponds to an earthquake of about magnitude 7.  相似文献

东北亚大陆于晚中生代时期发生了大规模地壳伸展,发育变质核杂岩和不对称花岗岩穹隆,其伸展剪切机制一直是构造研究的重要内容之一。中蒙边界东南段沿北东向展布了罕乌拉、纳兰和宝德尔等3个不对称花岗岩伸展穹隆,主体均为晚中生代花岗岩侵入体,岩体西北缘发育韧性剪切(糜棱岩)带,并被后期高角度正断层所围限,整体为穹隆状。根据罕乌拉穹隆韧性剪切带内强变形中粗粒钾长花岗岩(133±1 Ma)和弱变形细粒花岗岩(128±2 Ma)的构造关系及其锆石U-Pb年龄,推测该穹隆内岩体可能为同伸展岩体,韧性伸展时间在133 Ma之后并持续至128 Ma或更晚,与同区其他穹隆发育时限相同。笔者用Rf/ф方法测量了3个穹隆剪切带内糜棱岩中长石的有限应变轴率,利用Hsu图解获得其应变类型为平面压扁应变(k=0.5)。用长石极莫尔圆法、刚性颗粒网法和C轴石英组构法估算了韧性剪切的长期变形过程,得到糜棱岩的平均运动学涡度值为0.68~0.74,表明这些穹隆的韧性剪切作用主要是纯剪切和简单剪切分量几乎相等的一般剪切作用。石英斜向条带法测得的韧性变形后期的运动学涡度值为0.87~0.99,平均值为0.93...  相似文献

This paper discusses the relationship between the volume loss, fluid flow and component variations in the ductile shear zone of the southern Tan-Lu fault belt. The results show that there is a large amount of fluids flowing through the shear zone during mylonitization, accompanied with the loss of volume of rocks and variations of elements and oxygen isotopes. The calculated temperature for mylonitization in different mylonites ranges from 446 to 484℃, corresponding to that of 475 to 500℃ for the wall rocks. The condition of differential stress during mylonization has been obtained between 99 and 210 MPa, whereas the differential stress in the wall rock gneiss is 70-78 MPa. The mylonites are enriched by factors of 1.32-1.87 in elements such as TiO2, P2O5, MnO, Y, Zr and V and depleted in SiO2, Na2O, K2O, Al203, Sr, Rb and light REEs compared to their protolith gneiss. The immobile element enrichments are attributed to enrichments in residual phases such as ilmentite, zircon, apatite and epidote in mylonites and are interpreted as due to volume losses from 15% to 60% in the ductile shear zone. The largest amount of SiO2 loss is 35.76 g/100 g in the ductile shear zone, which shows the fluid infiltration. Modeling calculated results of the fluid/rock ratio for the ductile shear zone range from 196 to 1192 by assuming different degrees of fluid saturation. Oxygen isotope changes of quartz and feldspar and the calculated fluid are corresponding to the variations of differential flow stress in the ductile shear zone. With increasing differential flow stress, the mylonites show a slight decrease of δ^18O in quartz, K-feldspar and fluid.  相似文献

郯庐断裂带肥东段早白垩世中期走滑运动的年代学证据   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
郯庐断裂带肥东段西韦地区和桃花源地区出露了大规模的北北东向韧性剪切带。桃花源地区韧性剪切带显示出2期构造变形的叠加。野外构造和显微构造分析皆指示为左行走滑韧性剪切带。糜棱岩中石英与长石的变形行为指示其变形温度分别为400~450℃和500℃。通过对这两处走滑剪切带内糜棱岩化花岗岩脉的锆石LA-ICP-MS定年,获得了3个样品的侵位年龄分别为(133.2±1.9)Ma,(131.3±2.0)Ma,(130.3±2.0)Ma。再结合已有的研究成果,认为在128~124Ma(早白垩世中期)郯庐断裂带发生过左行走滑活动。综合分析表明,郯庐断裂带在晚侏罗世和早白垩世中期分别经历了2期左行走滑活动,而期间和之后的早白垩世则处于伸展活动之中。伸展活动持续较长,控制发育了西侧的合肥盆地及断裂带内一系列岩浆活动;而区域挤压背景下出现的走滑活动则相对短暂。这些演化规律显示该断裂带在晚侏罗世—早白垩世呈现为交替式的走滑和伸展活动。新发现的早白垩世中期走滑活动,与太平洋区伊泽纳崎板块板块运动方向的调整相对应,是大洋板块运动方向短暂调整的构造响应。  相似文献

古洞河韧性剪切带位于兴蒙造山带东段南缘,其变形特征和时间对探讨延边地区晚古生代-中生代构造演化具有重要意义.鉴于此,对该韧性剪切带进行了锆石U-Pb年代学和显微构造解析,以期限定韧性剪切带变形时间和特征.研究结果显示,古洞河韧性剪切带具有多期变形的特征,晚期变形糜棱叶理倾向为西,倾角较缓,线理倾伏向为南西,具有由南西向北东方向右行逆冲的特征.其分形维数值为1.159~1.214,Flinn参数K值为0.19~0.31,Kruhl温度计显示变形温度为450~550℃,石英动力重结晶粒径估算的差应力值为16.83~20.09 MPa,古应变速率为10-12~10-14 s-1.古洞河韧性剪切带花岗质糜棱岩锆石U-Pb年龄为192±2 Ma,晚期变形时代应为早侏罗世,形成应与早侏罗世古太平洋板块向欧亚大陆俯冲有关.   相似文献

The development of 10–30  m wide mylonite zones at mid-crustal depths in late Proterozoic granitoids on King Island, Tasmania, was associated with pervasive infiltration of low δ18O-fluids (+5 to +7) on the scale of the shear zones. Syndeformational fluid–rock interaction produced substantial differences in mineral composition and bulk rock chemistry among several adjacent shear zones which are hosted by the same granite. In a shear zone at Cape Wickham with a normal slip component, changes in whole-rock chemistry between granite and mylonites indicate a gain of Ca, and losses of K and Na during deformation, which was nearly isovolumetric. Notable losses of K, Rb and Si occurred during partial retrograde alteration of mylonites near the western margin of this shear zone. The alteration suggests a component of up-temperature fluid flow. In contrast, 3  km to the south east, in a strike-slip shear zone at Disappointment Bay, complete albitization of plagioclase was associated with Na-gain and Ca-loss. Deformation also involved losses of Mg and Fe. Up to 60% volume gain occurred during the formation of closely spaced mesoscopic to microscopic quartz veins during mylonitization. The substantial silica-gain in this, as well as in two mylonite zones further south east, is interpreted to have been associated with upward flow of aqueous fluids along these shear zones. On the basis of a gradient reaction model, minimum time-integrated fluid-fluxes of 106  m3/m2 are estimated for the Disappointment Bay (West) Shear Zone.  相似文献

The Diancang Shan metamorphic massif, the northwestern extension of the Ailao Shan Massif, is a typical metamorphic complex situated along the NW–SE-trending Ailao Shan–Red River shear zone. Diancang Shan granitic and amphibolitic mylonites collected from sheared high-grade metamorphic rocks were studied using petrographic and electron-backscatter diffraction techniques. Sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe U–Pb dating of zircon grains from the granitic mylonites constrains the timing of shearing. Macro- and microstructural and textural analysis reveals intense plastic deformation of feldspar, quartz, and amphibole under amphibolite-facies conditions, all consistently document left-lateral shearing. Porphyritic monzogranitic mylonite within the shear zone possesses evidence supporting a sequential, progressive process from crystallization during magma emplacement, through submagmatic flow to solid-state plastic deformation. We suggest that the early-kinematic pluton subsequently underwent strong left-lateral strike–slip shearing. The development of complex textures of quartz, feldspar, and amphibole from the granitic and amphibolitic mylonites apparently records successive variation of conditions attending coherent, solid-state high-temperature ductile deformation during regional left-lateral shearing. All magmatic zircons from the mylonitized porphyritic monzogranite give U–Pb ages of 30.95 ± 0.61 million years for the crystallization of the granite. This age provides the timing of onset of left-lateral shearing along the Ailao Shan–Red River shear zone in the Diancang Shan high-grade metamorphic massif.  相似文献

在大别造山带东端和苏鲁造山带西端,郯庐断裂带存在着同造山期和早白垩世两期左旋走滑韧性剪切带,在张八岭隆起南段迄今为止只发现了早白垩世的走滑剪切带。这些剪切带由若干条小型韧性剪切带组成,带内糜棱岩都具有陡倾的糜棱面理和平缓的矿物拉伸线理。野外构造、显微构造及石英C轴组构皆指示了左旋走滑剪切指向。新生矿物组合和矿物变形行为分析显示大别山东端郯庐早、晚两期剪切带主要形成于中绿片岩相的变质温度环境,张八岭隆起南段剪切带主要形成于高绿片岩相的变质温度环境,苏鲁造山带西端郯庐早、晚两期剪切带则形成于高角闪岩相的变质温度环境。糜棱岩内基质中新生白云母的电子探针分析指示大别山东端和张八岭隆起南段出露的郯庐韧性剪切带形成于低压环境下,而苏鲁造山带西端的郯庐韧性剪切带形成于高压榴辉岩相环境。这些详细的构造研究显示:在华北与华南板块的碰撞造山期郯庐断裂带以左旋走滑构造型式存在,而在早白垩世太平洋构造域中它又再次发生了强烈的左行平移。  相似文献

小伊诺盖沟金矿位于内蒙古呼伦贝尔盟额尔古纳市境内的额尔古纳河东岸.小伊诺盖沟金矿的发现是在额尔古纳地区寻找岩金矿的一大突破.笔者在小伊诺盖沟金矿区内发现了形成于中侏罗世的花岗斑岩,并确定该花岗斑岩为小伊诺盖沟金矿的容矿岩和含矿岩.小伊诺盖沟金矿矿体有蚀变花岗斑岩和脉状热液石英岩两种,以前者为主,前者分布于后者的两侧.小伊诺盖沟花岗斑岩的形成受控于额尔古纳河韧性剪切带,额尔古纳河韧性剪切带是小伊诺盖沟花岗斑岩的导岩构造,也是小伊诺盖沟金矿的导矿构造.额尔古纳河韧性剪切带形成过程中所产生的次生裂隙是小伊诺盖沟金矿的容矿构造.  相似文献

Many of the major lineaments in southern Africa are major ductile shear zones with large displacement, occurring within, though often bounding orogenic belts. An example is the boundary to the Limpopo belt in Botswana and Zimbabwe. However, some of these shear zones only record slight displacement when considered on a crustal scale; they are merely planes recording differential movement on much larger, flat to gently dipping, shear zones where the boundary to the orogenic belt is a low-angle thrust zone. These different types of shear zones are clearly shown in the Pan-African belt of Zambia where large ENE-trending lineaments have been recorded. Recent work has shown the northern group of shears to be large lateral ramps; for example, the rocks of the copper belt are part of an ENE-verging thrust package, the southern boundary of which is a major, oblique to lateral ramp. In southern Zambia shears are more analogous to major transform faults; they form as tear faults separating zones of different thrust vergence. A possible plate tectonic model is given for this part of Africa, showing the different relative plate movement vectors estimated from the geometry of the Pan-African shear zones.  相似文献

Discriminations in a local chemical,fluidal,mechanical and thermal processes in a shear zone will lead to metallogenic differentiation in a local section.This paper,based on the general geological setting of the Shibangou gold deposit in Xixia,Henan,deals with petrological and petrochemical samples of altered rocks in the metallogenic section and of mylonites in the non-metallogenic section of a selected shear zone.The discriminations in fluid-rock interaction and petrological mass balance between altered rocks near the orebody and mylonites in the shear zone are discussed as well.The results show that the petrological volume of altered rocks in the metallogenic section of the shear zone is almost always dilatant and the mylonite volume in the non-metallogenic section is almost always lost.Major elements in altered rocks from the metallogenic section and in mylonites from the non-metallogenic section always show a tendency of being enriched and depleted,respectively.Fluid-rock ratios in the mylonites(Nu=93.68-468.40)are larger than those of the altered rocks(NC(Ⅳ)^s=36.11-216.67).The gain and loss of major and trace elements from the altered rocks and mylonites in the shear zone are a composite process to be imported and exported by percolating fluids as well as of the loss and dilatancy of rock volume.  相似文献

Mylonites derived largely from granite, pegmatite and sedimentary quartzite occupy a 500 m thick, gently N-dipping zone along the northern flank of the Coyote Mountains, west of Tucson, in southeastern Arizona. The quartzite mylonites are exceptionally well developed and occur as discrete layers and lenses, 2–5 m thick, within yet thicker, boudinaged, sill-like lenses of mylonitic pegmatite. Mylonitization took place in the Tertiary within a normal-slip ductile shear zone. The shear zones formed in response to regional extension of continental crust. Extension is along a north-south line, and N-directed sense of shear is revealed by mica fish, oblique foliations in dynamically recrystallized quartz aggregates, and asymmetric quartz c-axis fabrics. The microstructures and c-axis fabrics, taken together, disclose that ductile and brittle deformation was achieved by intense, penetrative, non-coaxial laminar flow dominated by progressive simple shear.  相似文献

Mineral compositions from cordierite-bearing metasedimentary enclaves adjacent to the Closepet granite in the Bangalore region of the South Indian Craton indicate peak metamorphism in the range 4.5–5.0 kb, 690–730°C. PH2O is found to decrease towards the south and those assemblages which lie south of the charnockite line are formed under conditions of PH2O < 0.3 Ptotal. 250 km north Bangalore, andalusite-bearing assemblages from the northern margin of the Closepet granite indicate peak metamorphic conditions in the range 2.6–3.8 kb, 520–620°C. The inferred piezotacrmic array is strongly convex towards the temperature axis and may represent a transient geotherm in the upper crust related to the emplacement of the Closepet granite or to volatile activity along the margins of the granite.  相似文献

以河南西峡石板沟金矿为例,选择了一条控矿剪切带,对其中成矿地段的近矿蚀变岩和非成矿地段糜棱岩进行了系统的采样,探讨了二者在流体-岩石反应及岩石质量平衡之间的差异性。研究表明,剪切带中矿化地段蚀变岩其岩石体积总是扩容的,非矿化地段糜棱岩在变形过程中体积是损失的。矿化地段蚀变岩活性元素(K、Na、Si)总体呈被带入趋势,非矿化地段糜棱岩活性元素总体呈迁出趋势,糜棱岩的流体岩石率(Nu为93.68—468.40)远大于蚀变岩的流体岩石率(Nc(Ⅳ)s为36.11-216.67),剪切带中常量元素与微量元素富集与损失是渗透性流体带入、带出,岩石的体积损失与扩容综合作用的结果。  相似文献

The structural location of an approximately 3-km stretch of the Catalina detachment fault zone appears to have been controlled by an ultramylonite shear zone within mylonites of the Catalina–Rincon metamorphic core complex. The Catalina detachment fault zone consists of the detachment fault surface, a 3–5 m interval of cataclasite and ultracataclasite, up to ∼50 m of chlorite breccia, and a discrete subdetachment fault. Beneath the subdetachment fault is a km-scale thickness of mylonites. Progressive ductile-to-brittle shear-zone evolution of the fault-rock stratigraphy started with mylonitization, was followed by overprinting of mylonites by chlorite brecciation, and culminated in the formation of the Catalina detachment fault and associated ultracataclasites. The detachment fault is cospatial with and subparallel to the zone of chlorite breccia. The subdetachment fault is subparallel to the interval of chlorite brecciation and to the detachment fault. The ‘plane’ of projection of the approximately 30-m thick ultramylonite shear zone within the mountain of mylonite, when followed downdip, coincides with the base of the ‘chlorite breccia’ brittle shear zone. Ultramylonite is preserved in places in the immediate lower plate of the subdetachment fault. The position and orientation of the subdetachment fault appears to have been controlled by an ultramylonite shear zone within the lower-plate mylonites. The rheological properties and orientation of this ultramylonite shear zone favored its reactivation as the brittle sole fault of the zone of chloritic brecciation.  相似文献

从变形机制、力学性质和变质变形矿物世代研究入手,对江苏东北部苏鲁造山带南缘东海虎山多期叠加剪切带进行的研究表明,该区存在三期韧性剪切变形,第一期为滑脱拆离变形,长英质糜棱岩中形成长石拉伸线理,榴辉岩中形成绿辉石、石榴石分异成分层;第二期变形为韧性逆冲,形成蓝晶石、多硅白云母、黝帘石拉伸线理,在榴辉岩中形成石榴石眼球体;第三期变形为韧脆性逆冲构造,形成长英质S—C糜棱岩,具S—C面理和丝带状石英条带,该结论为建立区域构造变形序列提供了依据。  相似文献
