The Miran oilfield is one of the new oil fields in Kurdistan region, northern Iraq, located in the Sulaimani Governorate. Twelve Cuttings samples from the Upper Jurassic Naokelekan and Barsarin formations in well Miran-2 were selected for detailed organic geochemical investigations. All the samples were subjected to bitumen extraction in order to study any biomarkers present using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The dominance of low-molecular-weight n-alkanes and other calculated parameters indicate a marine source for the organic matter derived from planktonic algal and bacterial precursors deposited under anoxic conditions. The isoprenoids/n-alkanes ratios indicate type II and mixed II/III kerogen for both formations. The type II/III kerogen is characteristic of transitional environment under anoxic to dysoxic conditions as also indicated by the homohopane index for studied samples. More argillaceous carbonate rocks were deposited when reducing conditions were prevalent. Medium to high gammacerane index values in the rock extracts probably indicate a stratified water column during deposition of both formations. The studied samples from both formations have entered peak oil window maturity as reflected from the biomarker ratios from both aliphatic and aromatic fractions of the extracts.  相似文献

Hydrothermal pyrolysis of organic matter in Riphean mudstone   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The catagenesis of organic matter (OM) was modeled by the hydrothermal pyrolysis of a source rock (Riphean mudstone from eastern Siberia). Isothermal experiments 72-h long were carried out in an aqueous environment in autoclaves at temperatures of 300, 310, 320,..., 370°. The pyrolysis products were analyzed for yield of extract, organic carbon, and parameters of Rock-Eval pyrolysis. The amount of the generated liquid hydrocarbon (HC) compounds increased to a temperature of 340°C and then decreased. The experimental trend of the hydrogen index (HI) dependence on the T Max temperature generally coincided with that for natural OM maturation. The carbon isotopic composition of the insoluble (in organic solvents) OM remained practically unchanged in the course of the experiments. The carbon structure of the solid remnants of the experimental samples was ordered (after the experiments) with the origin of turbostratic graphite with a spacing of d 002≈3.5 A°. We also conducted pyrolysis in a diamond anvil cell equipped with a digital camera in order to obtain additional qualitative and quantitative information on oil generation and emigration in the source rock and isolated kerogen. Chemical kinetic parameters of kerogen cracking were calculated for pyrolysis in an open system. The extrapolation of the high-temperature experimental results is discussed with reference to natural OM maturation.  相似文献

The molecular and isotopic composition of an extract from the rocks of the Bazhenov Formation in the southeast part of Western Siberia, oils that are genetically related to this formation, and products of hydrous pyrolysis of the organic matter of oil shale (Middle Volgian) of the East European Platform were studied. Common features and differences in their molecular composition were shown. The carbon isotope composition for C14–C30n-alkanes was determined for the first time; a negative isotope anomaly was revealed for C26n-alkane in all samples studied. It was concluded that in spite of the geographical distance, specific biota was revealed in the Volga Basin. This biota conditioned an isotopic indicator, which is genetically significant.  相似文献

Baripada Marine Beds (BMB) have been studied extensively in terms of its mega fossil content. However, not much has been discussed about the foraminiferal content and the organic matter assemblage in these beds. The fossiliferous sequence of BMB consists of sandstone, shale and limestone units. The present study is persued on the limestone unit of BMB. Foraminiferal, thin section and rock-eval pyrolysis studies were performed on the 33 surface samples collected from five sections of Jamdapal and Mukurmatia region along the Budhabalang river bank. Foraminifera are less abundant in the samples of Jamdapal, whereas Mukurmatia is comparatively rich. First appearance datum of Globorotalia menardii[ranges since middle Miocene (12.6 Ma); FAD at planktic foraminiferal zone N12] and last appearance datum of Neogloboquadrina continuosa [ranges between early Miocene (23.2 Ma) to late Miocene (8.3 Ma); FAD at planktic foraminiferal zone N4B and LAD at N16] together suggest that the limestone unit was deposited in between 12.6 to 8.3 Ma within the upper Miocene. Also, the association of shallow water benthic foraminifera (Species of Ammonia, Asterorotalia, Bolivina, Buliminella, Cibicides, Challengerella, Criboelphidium, Cribononion, Elphidium, Hanzawaia, Nonionella) and planktic foraminifera (Globigerina falcoensis, Globigerina woodi, Globorotalia menardii, Neogloboquadrina continuosa) together with oyster bank and shark teeth suggest deposition of limestone within well oxygenated, tropical, shallow water, open marine condition (within 40m water depth). Lithological and thin section studies together with global sea level fluctuation history advocate that upper Miocene marine transgression promoted the formation of this unit. Bulk organic geochemical data obtained by the rock-eval pyrolysis studies on selected samples indicate a low total organic carbon (TOC), with low hydrogen index (HI), high oxygen index (OI). The organic facies is characterised by type-IV kerogen with major contribution from near shore terrestrial plants. This also suggests deposition in shallow, oxygenated environments that did not promote significant accumulation and preservation of organic content in sediments.  相似文献

The paper presents chromatographic–mass spectrometric data on the individual composition of organic compounds in sapropel-like deposits of lakes in the steppe, forest–steppe, and three taiga natural climatic zones (NCZ) in Khakassia and western Siberia. Data on the individual composition of n-alkanes, carboxylic acids and their esters, thiophenes, phytol, phytone, steroids, and di- and triterpenoids and on their distribution in the sediments show systematic variations in the composition of the organic matter (OM) with increasing ambient temperature and the aridity of the climate. The concentrations of all groups of the compounds in lacustrine sediments decrease southward, and simultaneously esters with long (up to С20) alkyl substituents appear. The concentrations of oxygen-bearing compounds increase among the acyclic structures and triterpenoids, as also do the concentrations of structures ketonic substituents among the steroids. The dominance of the carboxylic acids and their esters by high molecular weight homologues gives way to the dominance of palmic acid and its derivatives. Among n-alkanes, the dominance of С27 and С29 hydrocarbons typical of terrestrial plants gives way to a higher percentage of homologues С21–С25 (macrophytes) and С31 (herbaceous plants). Among the tocopheroles, the concentration of the oxidized form of α-tocopherol (acetate) increases.  相似文献

The lower part of Shayi Member (Es1x Sub-Member) composed mainly of dark mudstones and shales is the dominant source rocks for the Lixian Slope. Based on organic petrology, organic and inorganic geochemistry analyses of several mudstone and shale samples selected from Es1x Sub-Member, this research provides an overview on type, origin and thermal maturity of organic matters, as well as depositional environment of Es1x Sub-Member. Kerogen microscopy observation shows that the macerals are dominated by sapropelinite with a significant mixture of vitrinite and inertinite, indicating that aquatic algal-bacterial organic matter inputs are dominate with a significant contribution of terrigenous organic matter inputs. This statement is supported by n-alkane patterns distribution characteristics, high (n-C21 + n-C22)/(n-C28 + n-C29) values (average = 1.77), the plot of high Ph/n-C18 values (average = 4.15) versus low Pr/n-C17 values (average = 1.13), and high proportion of C27 sterane and C29 sterane (average = 37.7 and 42.0%, respectively). In addition, the rather low Pr/Ph values (average = 0.38), high gammacerane index values (average = 0.30), high V/Ni and V/(V + Ni) values (average = 11.84 and 0.89, respectively), high Sr/Ba and Sr/Cu values (average = 8.54 and 108, respectively), indicative of a saline water condition and a anoxic depositional environment. The low C29 sterane ααα 20S/(20S + 20R), C29 sterane αββ/(αββ + ααα), C31 homohopane 22S/(22S + 22R), C32 homohopane 22S/(22S + 22R), Ts/(Ts + Tm) values and relatively high moretane/hopane values show that the level of thermal maturity of organic matters in Es1x Sub-Member are low.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of mine tailings composition on shear behavior and shear strength of co-mixed mine waste rock and tailings (WR&T). Crushed gravel was used as a synthetic waste rock and mixed with four types of tailings: (1) fine-grained garnet, (2) coarse-grained garnet, (3) copper, and (4) soda ash. Co-mixed WR&T specimens were prepared to target mixture ratios of mass of waste rock to mass of tailings (R) such that tailings “just filled” interparticle void space of the waste rock (i.e., optimum mixture ratio, R opt). Triaxial compression tests were conducted on waste rock, tailings, and mixed waste at effective confining stresses (\(\sigma_{\text{c}}^{{\prime }}\)) ranging from 5 to 40 kPa to represent stresses anticipated in final earthen covers for waste containment facilities. Waste rock and co-mixed WR&T specimens were 150 mm in diameter by 300 mm tall, whereas tailings specimens were 38 mm in diameter by 76 mm tall. Shear strength was quantified using effective stress friction angles (?′) from undrained tests: ?′ for waste rock was 37°, ?′ for tailings ranged from 34° to 41°, and ?′ for WR&T mixtures ranged from 38° to 40°. Thus, shear strength of co-mixed WR&T was comparable to waste rock regardless of tailings composition. Shear behavior of WR&T mixtures was a function of R and tailings composition. Tailings influenced shear behavior for R < R opt and when tailings predominantly were silt. Shear behavior was influenced by waste rock for R ≥ R opt and when tailings predominantly were sand or included clay particles.  相似文献

The purpose of the investigation is to reveal the dependences of P p = f(C p) on reservoir conditions and the lithological composition of rocks. The samples were studied using a set of lithological-petrographic investigations. To obtain the dependences on thermobaric conditions, 90 samples of different porosities (C p) of 15, 20, and 25% were collected. As a result, the general pattern of the change in the rock resistivity during the transition from atmospheric conditions of measuring to reservoir conditions was established. Dependences of porosity parameter P p on porosity coefficient C p were obtained for three values of formation water salinity and three reservoir conditions. The measurement errors of the porosity parameter P p were calculated using dependences obtained under atmospheric conditions.  相似文献

Applying the statistical damage theory based on the Weibull distribution to describe rock deformation and failure processes is an important development in rock mechanics. The shape parameter of the Weibull distribution, m, determines the basic shape of the distribution curve; additionally, it also represents a physical characteristic which can be applied when constructing rock constitutive models. To study the evolution of m during rock failure when applying the Weibull distribution to rock mechanics, uniaxial cyclic loading tests of shale specimens were conducted and previous rock mechanics experiments under different temperatures and loading rates were reviewed. The results indicate that m varied with the accumulation of damage but was almost constant between the volume expansion point and the peak strength point of each specimen. Combined with previous studies about the accelerated failure behavior of rocks, we conclude that between the volume expansion point and the peak strength point, the mechanical behavior of the rock fracture process did not change significantly. Based on the characteristics of m at different damage stages during the rock failure process, ranges of m values at different damage stages are proposed. The conclusions reached in this study may be used as an important reference for theoretical research on rock mechanics.  相似文献

Hydrous pyrolysis (HP) experiments were used to investigate the petroleum composition and quality of petroleum generated from a Brazilian lacustrine source rock containing Type I kerogen with increasing thermal maturity. The tested sample was of Aptian age from the Araripe Basin (NE-Brazil). The temperatures (280–360 °C) and times (12–132 h) employed in the experiments simulated petroleum generation and expulsion (i.e., oil window) prior to secondary gas generation from the cracking of oil. Results show that similar to other oil prone source rocks, kerogen initially decomposes in part to a polar rich bitumen, which decomposes in part to hydrocarbon rich oil. These two overall reactions overlap with one another and have been recognized in oil shale retorting and natural petroleum generation. During bitumen decomposition to oil, some of the bitumen is converted to pyrobitumen, which results in an increase in the apparent kerogen (i.e., insoluble carbon) content with increasing maturation. The petroleum composition and its quality (i.e., API gravity, gas/oil ratio, C15+ fractions, alkane distribution, and sulfur content) are affected by thermal maturation within the oil window. API gravity, C15+ fractions and gas/oil ratios generated by HP are similar to those of natural petroleum considered to be sourced from similar Brazilian lacustrine source rocks with Type I kerogen of Lower Cretaceous age. API gravity of the HP expelled oils shows a complex relationship with increasing thermal maturation that is most influenced by the expulsion of asphaltenes. C15+ fractions (i.e., saturates, aromatics, resins and asphaltenes) show that expelled oils and bitumen are compositionally separate organic phases with no overlap in composition. Gas/oil ratios (GOR) initially decrease from 508–131 m3/m3 during bitumen generation and remain essentially constant (81–84 m3/m3) to the end of oil generation. This constancy in GOR is different from the continuous increase through the oil window observed in anhydrous pyrolysis experiments. Alkane distributions of the HP expelled oils are similar to those of natural crude oils considered to be sourced from similar Brazilian lacustrine source rocks with Type I kerogen of Lower Cretaceous age. Isoprenoid and n-alkane ratios (i.e., pristane/n-C17 and phytane/n-C18) decrease with increasing thermal maturity as observed in natural crude oils. Pristane/phytane ratios remain constant with increasing thermal maturity through the oil window, with ratios being slightly higher in the expelled oils relative to those in the bitumen. Generated hydrocarbon gases are similar to natural gases associated with crude oils considered to be sourced from similar Brazilian lacustrine source rocks with Type I kerogen of Lower Cretaceous, with the exception of elevated ethane contents. The general overall agreement in composition of natural and hydrous pyrolysis petroleum of lacustrine source rocks observed in this study supports the utility of HP to better characterize petroleum systems and the effects of maturation and expulsion on petroleum composition and quality.  相似文献

Accurate laboratory measurement of geo-engineering properties of intact rock including uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) and modulus of elasticity (E) involves high costs and a substantial amount of time. For this reason, it is of great necessity to develop some relationships and models for estimating these parameters in rock engineering. The present study was conducted to forecast UCS and E in the sedimentary rocks using artificial neural networks (ANNs) and multivariable regression analysis (MLR). For this purpose, a total of 196 rock samples from four rock types (i.e., sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, and marl) were cored and subjected to comprehensive laboratory tests. To develop the predictive models, physical properties of studied rocks such as P wave velocity (Vp), dry density (γd), porosity, and water absorption (Ab) were considered as model inputs, while UCS and E were the output parameters. We evaluated the performance of MLR and ANN models by calculating correlation coefficient (R), mean absolute error (MAE), and root-mean-square error (RMSE) indices. The comparison of the obtained results revealed that ANN outperforms MLR when predicting the UCS and E.  相似文献

The Gurpi Formation in the southwest of Iran has been studied for microfacies and bulk organic geochemistry in order to elucidate its depositional environment and petroleum source rock characteristics. The obtained results ended up with four types of organic facies and three types of microfacies through the formation. Three microfacies types differentiated including Pelagic mudstone Wackstone, microbioclast Packstone and bioclastic Packstone reflect a distal outer ramp or basinal environment. Combination of palynofacies and organic geochemistry resulted in differentiation of four organic facies corresponding to organic facies B, BC, C and CD of Jones 1987. Detailed organic facies shows that the formation is characterized by low values of TOC, high percentages of amorphous organic matter and black phytoclasts, rare marine algae thereby representing a mixture of terrestrial and marine kerogen that confirm the formation was deposited in a distal anoxic to oxic condition. The formation shallows upward to the Microbioclast Packstone facies below the Lopha Member reaching its minimum depth in boundstones of this member in uppermost Campanian and then is followed by stagnant condition and high contents of organic matter in suboxic to anoxic condition that favoured accumulation of organic matter in early Maastrichtian. Organic geochemical and petrographical data indicate that the formation is not potentially suitable for petroleum production except for the minor interval (organic facies 2) in early Maastrichtian. Tmax values vary between 340 and 440 °C confirming immaturity trends indicated by Rock-Eval data.  相似文献

There are abundant bitumens and oil seepages stored in vugs in a Lower-Triassic Daye formation (T1d) marlite in Ni’erguan village in the Southern Guizhou Depression. However, the source of those oil seepages has not been determined to date. Multiple suites of source rocks of different ages exist in the depression. Both the oil seepages and potential source rocks have undergone complicated secondary alterations, which have added to the difficulty of an oil-source correlation. For example, the main source rock, a Lower-Cambrian Niutitang Formation (?1n) mudstone, is over mature, and other potential source rocks, both from the Permian and the Triassic, are still in the oil window. In addition, the T1d oil seepages underwent a large amount of biodegradation. To minimize the influence of biodegradation and thermal maturation, special methods were employed in this oil-source correlation study. These methods included catalytic hydropyrolysis, to release covalently bound biomarkers from the over mature kerogen of ?1n mudstone, sequential extraction, to obtain chloroform bitumen A and chloroform bitumen C from the T1d marlite, and anhydrous pyrolysis, to release pyrolysates from the kerogen of T1d marlite. Using the methods above, the biomarkers and n-alkanes released from the oil samples and source rocks were analysed by GC–MS and GC-C-IRMS. The oil-source correlation indicated that the T1d oil seepage primarily originated from the ?1n mudstone and was partially mixed with oil generated from the T1d marlite. Furthermore, the seepage also demonstrated that the above methods were effective for the complicated oil-source correlation in the Southern Guizhou Depression.  相似文献

As soft rocks are likely to soften, slime and swell while contacting water, the existence of soft rocks is harmful for stability of surrounding rocks and supporting structures of tunnels. Through uniaxial and triaxial tests under dry condition and triaxial test with different moisture contents, the mechanical properties and failure modes of soft rocks were studied under conditions that the schistosity plane of the rock samples was vertical to, presented an oblique angle with, and paralleled to the loading direction. The results showed that peak strengths in natural and water-bearing states increased with increasing confining pressures, while those in water-bearing state were 40% lower than those in natural state. The samples were mainly subjected to ductile failure in both natural and water-bearing states while the samples in natural state exhibited a certain brittle failure characteristic in post-peak phase. With the increase of confining pressures, the post-peak curve gradually became gentle after certain brittle failure while the post-peak stresses had an insignificant change. In comparison, the samples in water-bearing state showed significant post-peak disparity, that is, exhibited strong ductile failure characteristic. Moreover, the fitting relationship between triaxial compressive strength and moisture of soft rocks can be expresses as σ 1 =  + B (A < 0, B > 0) while that between elasticity modulus and moisture can be expresses as E =  + B (A < 0, B > 0).  相似文献

The estimation of the fluid/rock (W/R) ratio during serpentinization on the basis of oxygen isotope characteristics is peculiar, because this process is accompanied by not only changes in the stoichiometric proportions of oxygen in fluid and rock, but also by the formation of associated minerals. These factors should be taken into account for environments when the volume of aqueous fluid is limited, for instance, for serpentinization of the deep-seated rocks of oceanic lithosphere under low spreading rates. We studied isotope characteristics of samples collected in dives of submersible MIR during Cruise 50 of the R/V Akademik Mstislav Keldysh along vertical profile on the southern slope of the Atlantis Massif, which hosts the Lost City hydrothermal field. Almost all studied serpentinites have homogenous strontium isotope composition corresponding to the composition of the modern seawater. Oxygen isotope composition of these serpentinites shows systematic variations from 2. 6 to 6.1‰ with sampling depth, which indicates the preservation of stratigraphic position of samples in the sequence of the Atlantis Massif and the global serpentinization of the entire plutonic sequence. The value of the fluid–rock ratio during serpentinization in a system closed to fluid was estimated using the dissolution–crystallization model. This model takes into account the variable stoichiometry of oxygen and the effect of the simultaneous crystallization of brucite on the oxygen isotope composition of newly formed serpentine. The results show that at moderately elevated temperatures (≈300°C) and 0.1 < W/R < 5, fluid, crystallizing serpentine, and brucite are characterized by sharp variations in oxygen isotope composition: 1.3–7.8, 2.5–8.9, and 4.5–1.9‰, respectively. The model explains the observed range of δ18O in the serpentinized harzburgites of the Atlantis Massif. According to our estimates, the rocks of the studied sequence of the Atlantis Massif were serpentinized at 270–350°C and W/R = 0.7–3. For lower temperature serpentinization, for instance, at T = 250°C, the W/R ratio can be as high as 6. The present-day serpentinization of the deepseated zones of the Atlantis Massif with the Lost City fluid participance proceeds at T > 270°C and W/R ratio <1. These conditions are similar to those of serpentinization of harzburgites from the lower parts of the studied sequence of the Atlantis Massif.  相似文献

Subcritical crack growth plays an important role in evaluating the long-term stability of structures in rocks. By applying the constant-displacement-relax method, two groups of test specimens that one immersed in groundwater and the other in air were tested to get the parameters of subcritical crack growth in double torsion test. The relations of the stress intensity factor K I versus the subcritical crack growth velocity V were obtained under the two different environments, and the behavior of subcritical crack growth was also analyzed. The results showed: the relations of lg K I  ? lg V accorded with linear rules, which is in good agreement with Charles theory; Compared with specimens in nature state, the lg K I  ? lg V curves of saturated water specimens locate top left comer of those of air specimens. The slope of curve is smaller, and the intercept is bigger, which shows that the water–rock interaction speeds up the subcritical crack growth. And A increases 2.9 × 1018 folds but n decreases from 85.12 to 40.83 because of the water–rock interaction. Meanwhile, the fracture toughness K IC also decreases obviously from 2.55 in air to 2.26 in water due to water rock interaction. The testing results provide a basis for time-dependence of rock engineering stability.  相似文献

A procedure for the estimation of distribution parameters of a Weibull distribution model K1 = f(KIc12/4/σC23/4) for solid particle erosion, as recently suggested in Rock Mech Rock Eng, doi: 10.1007/s00603-014-0658-x, 2014, is derived. The procedure is based on examinations of elastic–plastically responding rocks (rhyolite, granite) and plastically responding rocks (limestone, schist). The types of response are quantified through SEM inspections of eroded surfaces. Quantitative numbers for the distribution parameter K1 are calculated for 30 rock materials, which cover a wide range of mechanical properties. The ranking according to the parameter K1 is related to qualitative rock classification schemes. A modified proposal for the erosion of schist due to solid particle impingement at normal incidence is introduced.  相似文献

Detailed analyses were conducted of human impact on juniper forest landscapes occurring within the Zarafshan Range (Pamir-Alay). Juniperus seravschanica and J. semiglobosa belong to forest-forming species in Central Asia. At present, juniper forests all over Tajikistan are seriously threatened as a result of excessive logging and cattle grazing. The aim of this paper is to present juniper forest transformation as a result of human activities as well as the diversity of soil properties in the organic and humus horizons in the altitudinal system of soil zonation. Three groups of phytocoenoses were distinguished: those with a dominant share of Juniperus seravschanica; those with a dominant share of J. semiglobosa; and mixed. Associations with Juniperus seravschanica and J. semiglobosa feature several variants of phytocoenoses with dominant species: Artemisia lehmanniana, A. dracunculus, Eremurus olgae, Festuca sulcata, Ligularia thomsonii, Stipa turkestanica, Thymus seravschanicus, and Ziziphora pamiroalaica. The collected soil samples differ in their granulometric composition. Gravelly cobble fractions >2 mm are dominant; the share of sandy particles <2 mm is much lower (about 10–20%). Fraction 0.5–0.05 attains 35% on average. The Corg content of the soil varied from 0.26 to 11.40% in the humus horizon (A) and from 4.3 to 25% in the organic (O). Similar relationships were reported in the case of Ntot concentration. A clear relationship can be observed between concentrations of Corg and Ntot. Soil pH varied, ranging from very low acidic (pH 5.5) to neutral (pH 8.5). The content of available P varied; high concentrations were noted in organic (O) (40.46–211 mg kg?1) and mixed horizons (OA) (2.61–119 mg kg?1). Maximum accumulations of Pavail (1739.6 mg kg?1) and Ptot (9696 mg kg?1) were observed at a site heavily affected by intense grazing. Concentrations of Mgavail varied from 116 to 964 mg kg?1. Most of the analysed soil profiles lacked an organic horizon; only thin humus occurred.  相似文献

Organic geochemical and palynofacies analyses were carried out on shale intervals of the Late Paleocene Patala Formation at Nammal Gorge Section, western Salt Range, Pakistan. The total organic carbon content and Rock-Eval pyrolysis results indicated that the formation is dominated by type II and type III kerogens. Rock-Eval \({T}_{\mathrm{max}}\) vs. hydrogen index (HI) and thermal alteration index indicated that the analysed shale intervals present in the formation are thermally mature. \(S_{1}\) and \(S_{2}\) yields showed poor source rock potential for the formation. Three palynofacies assemblages including palynofacies-1, palynofacies-2 and palynofacies-3 were identified, which are prone to dry gas, wet gas and oil generation, respectively. The palynofacies assessment revealed the presence of oil/gas and gas prone type II and type III kerogens in the formation and their deposition on proximal shelf with suboxic to anoxic conditions. The kerogen macerals are dominated by vitrinite and amorphinite with minor inertinite and liptinite. The kerogen macerals are of both marine and terrestrial origin, deposited on a shallow shelf. Overall, the dark black carbonaceous shales present within the formation act as a source rock for hydrocarbons with poor-to-moderate source rock quality, while the grey shales act as a poor source rock for hydrocarbon generation.  相似文献

Interaction between natural pargasite [Prg, SiO2 = 43.89 wt %, FeO/(FeO + MgO) = 0.35, (Na + K)A = 0.51] and H2O–NaCl fluid, whose composition (NaCl mole fraction) varied within the range X NaCl = NaCl/(NaCl + H2O) = 0–0.45, was experimentally studied in an internally heated apparatus at 900°C and 500 MPa. Natural pargasite begins to melt at a temperature 120–150°C lower than its synthetic analogue. In the presence of pure H2O, the subliquidus mineral assemblage involves amphibole Hbl 1, whose composition is closely similar to the starting Prg, clinopyroxene Cpx, calcic plagioclase Pl, and minor amounts of hercynite-magnetite spinel. With increasing X NaCl, the subliquidus assemblage systematically changed: calcic plagioclase disappeared and more Fe- rich amphibole Hbl 2 appeared at X NaCl = 0.07; Cpx disappeared at X NaCl = 0.14; and appearance of Na-Phl compositionally close to wonesite and almost complete disappearance of Hbl 1 was observed at X NaCl = 0.31. The composition of the melt also changed: its Na2O gradually increased (from 1.5 to 9–10 wt %), and CaO and SiO2 decreased(from 8.6 to 2 wt % and from 64 to 60 wt %, respectively, in recalculation to the anhydrous basis); at X NaCl ≥ 0.35, the melt was transformed from quartz- to nepheline-normative. The maximum Cl concentration of 1.2 wt % was measured in the melt poorest in SiO2. The experimental products contained spherical objects less than 10 μm in diameter that consisted of material that precipitated from the quenched fluid. These particles are richer than the melt in SiO2 (62–80 wt %) and poorer in Al2O3 (11–19 wt %) in experiments with X NaCl ≤ 0.24, but the differences between the compositions of the melt and particles decreased with increasing XNaCl. The relatively high concentrations of aluminosilicate material in the fluid is most likely explained by the high solubility of the melt in the fluid phase, with the formation in the fluid aqueous Si, Al–Si, Na–Al–Si, and other polymeric species. It is suggested that interaction of host rocks with such fluids, rich in granitic components, might be responsible for granitization (charnockitization) of mafic, and, particularly, ultramafic rocks described in the literature.  相似文献
