The effect of peak ground velocity (PGV) on single‐degree‐of‐freedom (SDOF) deformation demands and for certain ground‐motion features is described by using a total of 60 soil site records with source‐to‐site distances less than 23 km and moment magnitudes between 5.5 and 7.6. The observations based on these records indicate that PGV correlates well with the earthquake magnitude and provides useful information about the ground‐motion frequency content and strong‐motion duration that can play a role on the seismic demand of structures. The statistical results computed from non‐linear response history analyses of different hysteretic models highlight that PGV correlates better with the deformation demands with respect to other ground motion intensity measures. The choice of PGV as ground motion intensity decreases the dispersion due to record‐to‐record variability of SDOF deformation demands, particularly in the short period range. The central tendencies of deformation demands are sensitive to PGV and they may vary considerably as a function of the hysteretic model and structural period. The results provided in this study suggest a consideration of PGV as a stable candidate for ground motion intensity measure in simplified seismic assessment methods that are used to estimate structural performance for earthquake hazard analysis. The principal causes of earthquake-induced ground deformation are identified and their interaction with underground infrastructure, primarily pipelines and conduits, is described. The coupled forces normal and parallel to underground pipelines arising from earthquake-induced ground movement are evaluated, including a review of measured stresses on pipe surfaces during large-scale testing, evaluation of frictional forces related to soil-pipe interaction, and the resolution of interaction forces along and across pipelines. Methods for characterizing soil reaction to pipe lateral and vertical movements are presented. The maximum downward pipe force is only about one-third the maximum force determined with conventional bearing capacity equations, thus requiring changes in current analytical and design practice. The analytical results for pipeline response to strike-slip and normal fault rupture are shown to compare favorably with the results of both large-scale and centrifuge tests of soil-pipeline interaction simulating these types of severe ground deformation.  相似文献

Selenium transport and transformation were simulated in a soil column. A one‐dimensional dynamic mathematical and computer model is formulated to simulate, selenate, selenite, selenomethionine, organic selenium, and gaseous selenium. This computer model is based on the mass balance equation, including convective transport, dispersive transport, surface adsorption, oxidation and reduction, volatilization, chemical and biological transformation. The mathematical solution is obtained by the finite difference implicit method. The model was verified by comparison of model results with experimental measurements and also using mass balance calculations in each time step of calculation. For example after 4 days of simulation, the simulated value of adsorbed selenate for depth of 20 cm is 0·2 µmol kg?1 and the measured value is 0·25 µmol kg?1. Therefore simulated results are in good agreement with measured values. 针对PSInSAR技术监测大空间尺度地表垂直形变场的不足,提出通过基准转换与数据拼接、融合不同轨道多个独立片区(Frame)获取大空间尺度地表垂直形变场方法.由于不同轨道主影像选取的参考基准不一致、不同轨道垂直基线不同、不同片区相位解缠的参考PS不同等因素影响,使得PSInSAR获得的不同轨道地表垂直形变场的空间基准存在差异,提取的地表形变信息不具有可比性.利用两个相邻片区重叠区域的PS点集,根据迭代最近点算法提取两片区公共区域内同名点,并兼顾同名点距离的权,精确计算两片区的配准参数,实现两片区的"无缝"连接,最后使各独立片区拼接成一个连续的大空间尺度地表垂直形变场.本文推导了多轨PSInSAR技术获得的不同片区形变场基准转换与数据拼接的数学模型,并以华北平原(115.32°E—118.79°E, 36.81°N—40.58°N)为实验区,解析了3个不同轨道共12个片区PS目标,获取了研究区2006—2010年地表垂直形变速度场.分析表明:(1)研究区大范围处于下沉状态,形成以北京、廊坊、天津、沧州、泊头—德州等城市为中心向外扩展的地表沉降发展态势,几个沉降中心的平均沉降速率分别达到-34.7 mm/a、-26.3 mm/a、-64.2 mm/a、-34.6 mm/a和-37.7 mm/a;(2)地表沉降的空间分布特征表明,城市工业生产和生活抽取地下水是地表沉降的主要诱因,农业灌溉和油气开采是导致华北平原大范围地表沉降的另一个重要因素;(3)研究区最大沉降带沿北北东向展布,与区内断裂分布一致,表明沉降的空间分布受到断裂带控制;(4)利用地表同期一等水准测量成果检验了本研究结果,精度达到4.72 mm,表明本文提出的数据处理策略能够满足大时空尺度地表形变监测的需求.  相似文献

岩石圈流变结构是控制大陆碰撞造山的重要因素.哈山冲断带的构造变形、地表地形与青藏高原周缘冲断带差异较大,指示需要开展地壳流变学研究.本研究采用二维数值模拟,设计了盆山上地壳强度横向差异的单因素实验,模拟结果分析表明:若上地壳强度山弱盆强,构造变形集中于造山带,断块垂向叠置造成造山带隆升,使地表地形的构造高点位于造山带;若上地壳强度山强盆弱,构造变形集中于冲断带和盆地,盆山相互作用造成地表地形的构造高点位于冲断带,而非后陆.本文基于此单因素实验,模拟了哈山冲断带构造演化,发现哈山冲断带晚二叠世发育推覆构造后,构造变形逐渐减弱,扩展方式由前展式变为后展式,基底倾向由向后陆变为向前陆.结合哈山及龙门山的多学科观测资料,本文认为哈山和龙门山冲断带的构造变形、地表地形分别符合地壳强度山强盆弱模式和山弱盆强模式.研究成果可以为中西部冲断带的地球动力学模型和实验模型的搭建提供一定启示,同时对研究区内构造控藏分析和油气勘探具有指导意义.  相似文献

Lateral deformation of liquefiable soil is a cause of much damage during earthquakes, reportedly more than other forms of liquefaction-induced ground failures. Researchers have presented studies in which the liquefied soil is considered as viscous fluid. In this manner, the liquefied soil behaves as non-Newtonian fluid, whose viscosity decreases as the shear strain rate increases. The current study incorporates computational fluid dynamics to propose a simplified dynamic analysis for the liquefaction-induced lateral deformation of earth slopes. The numerical procedure involves a quasi-linear elastic model for small to moderate strains and a Bingham fluid model for large strain states during liquefaction. An iterative procedure is considered to estimate the strain-compatible shear stiffness of soil. The post-liquefaction residual strength of soil is considered as the initial Bingham viscosity. Performance of the numerical procedure is examined by using the results of centrifuge model and shaking table tests together with some field observations of lateral ground deformation. The results demonstrate that the proposed procedure predicts the time history of lateral ground deformation with a reasonable degree of precision.  相似文献

为分析两类长周期地震动作用下如何选取合理的强度指标作为结构抗震设计的输入,从2011年东日本9.0级地震、2003年十胜冲8.0级地震和2016年熊本7.3级地震数据库中选取90条可靠的远场长周期地震动。从1994年美国北岭6.7级地震和1999年台湾集集7.6级地震数据库中选取60条近场长周期地震动,以SDOF体系为研究对象,讨论了阻尼比、屈服刚度折减系数和强度折减系数对残余变形与18个地震动强度指标的相关系数的影响,对比分析了两类长周期地震作用下相关系数之间的异同。研究结果表明:在考虑近场长周期地震动作用时,建议应根据结构周期的大小来选择合适的强度指标作为地震动的输入。远场长周期地震动作用下,以PGA、PGV和PGD为代表的强度指标与残余变形的相关程度均较高,PGV稳定性略好于PGA和PGD,建议PGV作为地震动输入的控制指标。残余变形相关系数受阻尼比、屈服刚度折减系数以及强度折减系数影响不大。  相似文献

根据塞积群理论导出了走滑断层两端点固定时位移场随位置的不均匀分布解析表示关系,分析和讨论了断层上不同位置的位移场分布特征, 采用新导出的断层滑动不均匀分布公式对地面的水平位移场和垂直位移场进行了数值模拟计算,并与传统的Okada 位错模型在理论和计算结果上进行了对比分析.理论和计算结果分析表明:断层滑动不均匀分布公式是Okada位错模型在一定条件下理论上的扩展,而Okada位错模型是走滑不均匀公式的零阶近似;断层滑动不均匀分布公式与Okada 位错模型计算的地面位移场在走滑方向、垂直于断层走向和垂直于地面方向的近场变形差异最大在50%至65%之间,而最小差异在1%以内.  相似文献

从构造变形及破裂成核的角度来看, 强地震前形变异常理应出现在地震震源附近, 而许多连续形变观测事实与这种认识往往是相矛盾的.本文研究了攀枝花多次形变异常结束后10天内的首发中强地震与异常之间的相关性, 发现西北地区2000-2005年5.9级以上地震震中(绝大多数作为异常后的首发地震)分布具有较好的规律性.本文揭示的事实对于认识形变观测与前兆本质、实验场区连续形变观测台网建设及物理预测方法探索等都提供了新的可能性.  相似文献

以UNAVCO公布的阿拉斯加地区GPS 1 Hz和30 s采样观测数据为基础,采用双差定位方法分别对两种采样率的数据进行处理分析,获得2020年7月22日阿拉斯加MW7.8地震震时地表动态变形及同震三维形变场。结果显示,震中270 km范围内高频GPS震时波形明显,最大振幅达600 mm。根据各个GPS站的动态形变波形振幅及响应时间认为,其振幅和响应时间受地震的破裂传播方向和场地效应影响较大。静态同震位移矢量指向震中,同震位移大小基本符合随震中距离增大而减小的特征,除站点AC13外,其中距离震中最近站点的最大水平位移达26.7 cm。GPS测定的同震形变表明,2020年阿拉斯加地震是发生在阿拉斯加阿留申俯冲大断裂的一次逆冲型地震。  相似文献

An evaluation is made of the suitability of programming languages for hydrological modellers to create distributed, process‐based hydrological models. Both system programming languages and high‐level environmental modelling languages are evaluated based on a list of requirements for the optimal programming language for such models. This is illustrated with a case study, implemented using the PCRaster environmental modelling language to create a distributed, process‐based hydrological model based on the concepts of KINEROS‐EUROSEM. The main conclusion is that system programming languages are not ideal for hydrologists who are not computer programmers because the level of thinking of these languages is too strongly related to specialized computer science. A higher level environmental modelling language is better in the sense that it operates at the conceptual level of the hydrologist. This is because it contains operators that identify hydrological processes that operate on hydrological entities, such as two‐dimensional maps, three‐dimensional blocks and time‐series. The case study illustrates the advantages of using an environmental modelling language as compared with system programming languages in fulfilling requirements on the level of thinking applied in the language, the reusability of the program code, the lack of technical details in the program, a short model development time and learnability. The study shows that environmental modelling languages are equally good as system programming languages in minimizing programming errors, but are worse in generic application and performance. It is expected that environmental modelling languages will be used in future mainly for development of new models that can be tailored to modelling aims and the field data available. We present the results of an experiment about the effects on the seismic ground motion of a hill of large dimensions (6km long, 3km large and 700m high) near Corinth (Greece). We installed 7 seismometers across the hill, and analyzed the ground motion with different methods: the classical spectral ratios (CSR) and the horizontal to vertical spectral ratios calculated both on noise (HVNR) and earthquake data (RF). The amplification at the resonant frequency (around 0.7Hz) is low, as expected, but one of the two stations installed at the top exhibits large amplification (up to a factor of 10) at 3Hz. The comparison between the H/V results and the CSR ones suggests that the former method is able to point out the fundamental frequencies of a hill. Amplifications and spatial localization predicted by numerical 3D modeling are consistent with the experimental data only at frequencies lower than 1Hz.  相似文献

本文设计了一个MW7.0级地震的简单的逆断层有限移动源破裂模型,计算了断层周围64个观测点的加速度、速度和位移时程及峰值,简单讨论了近场地震动峰值、断层附近地表永久位移(或地表形变)的分布特点,并讨论了永久位移和地面运动速度大脉冲的关系。重点研究了断层附近三分量的永久位移(或地表形变)大小、方向和地震动作用特点。  相似文献

通过黏土和砂土的一系列动三轴试验,研究土体永久变形中地震动的有效荷载问题,提出了黏土和砂土应变门槛值与有效荷载幅值下限值的关系,给出了有效荷载幅值的计算公式和有效荷载的推荐值.结果表明,真实地震荷载下土的变形发展与等幅正弦荷载有明显不同,应变发展时程的形态主要受地震动的形态控制.应变门槛值与有效幅值下限值呈非线性关系,应力幅值下限值比应变门槛值大,且在较小的应变门槛值情况下需要比率差别更大的有效幅值才能产生相应的应变.以使土体产生超过总应变10%增量的应力值作为有效荷载幅值,砂土情况下幅值应大于峰值的四分之一,黏土情况下幅值应大于峰值的三分之一.  相似文献
