A mooring observation of current velocity, temperature and bottom pressure was carried out approximately 30 km off the coast
of Monbetsu, between August 7 and September 2, 2005, to investigate the characteristics of bottom boundary layer (BBL) off
the Soya Warm Current (SWC). We succeeded in measuring the Ekman veering and bottom Ekman transport in the BBL. On comparing
the observed current velocity with that represented by the classical theoretical equation, the observed alongshore current
velocity in BBL disagreed with that represented by the classical theoretical equation, but the cross-shore one agreed well.
However after applying a linear extrapolation for the alongshore current velocity to estimate the alongshore geostrophic current
velocity above the bottom, we could explain the alongshore current velocity by that represented in the classical theoretical
equation. Consequently, our observations strongly support one of the proposed formation mechanisms of the cold-water belt
observed off the SWC, that is, the convergence of bottom Ekman transport. The volume transport of vertical pumping velocity
was estimated to be (0.12–0.25) Sv. In addition, the vertical profile of average temperature in all observation periods shows
that slightly warmer water lies beneath the homogenous temperature layer, in the BBL. The result is considered to imply that
the down-slope advection due to bottom Ekman transport supplies the SWC water in BBL and the eddy diffusivity of order of
10−3 m2s−1 maintains the oceanic structure in the bottom mixed layer. 相似文献

采用短期资料的潮流准调和分析方法,对水深为4.5~22.5m的海阳核电站6个测站3个周日潮流观测获得的表、中、底层的潮流资料进行了分析。分析结果表明:该区域基本以半日潮为主,且半日分潮中M2振幅大于S2,全日潮仅存在个别站位的个别水层中;测区的潮流属于正规半日潮,但其分潮比WM_4/WM_2大于0.04,表明测区中浅海分潮流具有较大的比重,故测区的潮流性质应为不正规半日浅海潮流的类型;各站位各层表现出不同的潮流运动形式,往复流和旋转流同时存在,不同站位、层次之间的明显差异还需要结合详细的地形调查展开研究;大部分站位的余流流速呈现表层>中层>底层,大致呈现自东北向西南流。 相似文献

Estimation of Contamination of ERS-2 and POSEIDON Satellite Radar Altimetry Close to the Coasts of Australia 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
It is broadly acknowledged that the precision of satellite-altimeter-measured instantaneous sea surface heights (SSH) is lower in coastal regions than in open oceans, due partly to contamination of the radar return from the coastal sea-surface state and from land topography. This study investigates the behavior of ERS-2 and POSEIDON altimeter waveform data in coastal regions and estimates a boundary around Australia's coasts in which the altimeter range may be poorly estimated by on-satellite tracking software. Over one million 20 Hz ERS-2 (March to April 1999) and POSEIDON (January 1998 to January 1999) radar altimeter waveform data were used over an area extending 350 km offshore Australia. The DS759.2 (5'resolution) ocean depth model and the GSHHS (0.2 km resolution) shoreline model were used together to define the coastal regions. Using the 50% threshold retracking points as the estimates of expected tracking gate, we determined that the sea surface height is contaminated out to maximum distance of between about 8 km and 22 km from the Australian shoreline for ERS-2, depending partly on coastal topography. Using the standard deviation of the mean waveforms as an indication of the general variability of the altimeter returns in the Australian coastal region shows obvious coastal contamination out to about 4 km for both altimeters, and less obvious contamination out to about 8 km for POSEIDON and 10 km for ERS-2. Therefore, ERS-2 and POSEIDON satellite altimeter data should be treated with some caution for distances less than about 22 km from the Australian coast and probably ignored altogether for distances less than 4 km. 相似文献

本文以丁字湾等基岩海湾为例,论述了黄渤海沿岸海湾-溺谷型潮汐汉道的地貌结构,尤其着重于口门段深槽及涨、落潮三角洲。认为涨、落潮三角洲的发育状况与入湾河流的供沙量、纳潮水域容量、被浪作用、潮差以及口少卜海域的开阔程度有关;泻湖型潮汐汉道的落潮三角洲的典型模式可以应用于海湾-溺谷型潮汐汉道,但涨潮三角洲因受基岩海湾的复杂岸线的限制而不能充分发育。本文还讨论了海湾型潮汐汉道与半开敞海湾在动力和形态中的差异。 相似文献

Like many other loliginid squid, Doryteuthis (Loligo) opalescens deposits egg cases on the ocean floor. Depending upon temperature, egg cases may persist for 5–12 weeks before the paralarvae hatch. Because of this relatively long duration and squid’s pelagic life history, egg cases provide a practical life stage to survey. During 2001–2002, squid egg beds in Monterey Bay, Carmel Bay, and around the California Channel Islands were surveyed using a remotely operated vehicle with the goal of delineating the habitat of egg beds that are spawned during active commercial fishing. Egg cases were highly aggregated and densities reached 1338 capsules m−2. Squid eggs were significantly shallower in Central California. Egg cases occurred between 20 and 93 m around the Channel Islands, and in Central California they were between 13 and 61 m. The temperatures in both regions were similar (10–12 °C), with some eggs in Southern California found up to 14.4 °C. Ninety-five percent of eggs were found on sand, suggesting that temperature and substrate are stronger behavioral cues than depth to stimulate spawning. Suitable spawning habitat was defined by three criteria: sandy benthic substrate, temperatures between 10 and 14.4 °C, and depths between 20 and 70 m when the first two criteria hold. Additionally, within this defined area, oxygen concentration is quantified. The greatest commercial landings of market squid occur in both Central and Southern California during a time of year when water temperatures of 10–12 °C are prevalent in the 20–70 m depth range. 相似文献

浙江舟山海域是我国沿海潮流能试验研究和开发利用的热点区域,灌门水道即舟山海域著名的强潮流通道。首先,通过建立平面二维潮流数学模型,分析研究了灌门水道的潮流能资源分布特征,估算了其潮流能资源蕴藏量和技术可开发利用量。其次,分析了在灌门水道开展潮流能开发利用所需要面临的各种限制因素,对潮流能发电示范项目的开发条件进行了初步分析评估。研究成果显示,灌门水道内的最大流速普遍超过3 m/s,平均能流密度普遍超过3 k W/m2,可作为在本区域开展潮流能开发利用选址规划的重要依据。 相似文献

Sixteen rock samples were collected from the continental shelf and slope between Napier and Cape Turnagain, southern Hawkes Bay, most coming from offshore anticlinal ridges. Nine of the samples have a foraminiferal fauna of Upper Miocene and Pliocene age. The remainder cannot be dated, but most are probably of similar age. The foraminiferal. faunas are considered to have lived at depths ranging down to at least 1600 m deeper than the depth from which they were collected. Thus, the post‐depositional history of the samples includes tectonic uplift of similar magnitude since Upper Tertiary times. Because most of the samples arc very fine grained, unlike Recent sediments from ridges, it is suggested that the present regime of folding is largely post‐Pliocene in age. 相似文献

骨螺属是骨螺科的模式属,远在Linnaeus(1758)时代就已经记述了60种,其中包括了一些现在认为是不同属甚至不同科的种类。以后,Kiener(1836)、Lamarck(1843)、Reeve(1845)、Kobelt(1877)、Kuester und Kobelt(1878)、Sowerby(1880)及Tryon(1880)等学者对这一属的种类均进行了较全面的记述,其中Kobelt记述的达263种之多。以往作者描述的Murex属都相当庞大,后来的作者逐渐将该属中的亚属提升为属,因而Murex的范围大为缩小,现在一般通用的Murex属是以M.tribulus Linnaeus为模式种的狭义的Murex。
中国海骨螺属的种类,以往国内外虽有一些零星记载,但尚缺系统整理D共记录过我国海骨螺属4种。我们系统地整理了解放后在全国各海所采获的400余号近1000个标本,共得5种,除以往报告过的4种外,尚有M.triremis (Perry),系我国海的新记录。
Murex属系一暖水属,在我国主要分布于广东近海。M. aduncospinosus Reeve 、M.rectirostris Sowerby及M. trapa Roeding向北可分布到浙江海域,数量较大,南海沿岸居民常用来积肥,贝壳作为烧石灰的原料; M. triremis(Perry)向北分布到福建平潭,较为习见; M. ternispina Lamarck仅见于南海。
出现于我国海的骨螺,全为印度-西太平洋种类。在印度洋均有分布;除M. ternispina Lamarck外,其他4种亦见于日本南部;与红海、大洋洲及中部太平洋各有一个共有种(表1)。M. trapa Roeding在菲律宾虽向未见有记录,但估计在那里会有分布。 相似文献

黄海西朝鲜湾是潮流流速特别高、潮流沙脊群明显发育的水动力沉积环境区,具有有利的砂矿成矿条件。为了分析其成矿特征,我们采用波浪潮流共同作用下潮流泥沙数值模拟的计算方法,模拟各级波浪下潮流、海底冲淤状态和全输沙量过程,由此分析按形成时代和主要分选控制因素划定的砂矿成因型和漂沙分选方式。本区砂矿属于潮流波浪控制的现代滨海砂矿,砂矿由潮流波浪掀沙、潮流输沙、风暴浪混沙进行平面及垂直分选形成,研究区类似一个巨型砂矿分选机,分选强度有利于砂矿成矿的地区大多为0~20m海域,矿层延伸到风暴浪最大冲刷范围之外。 相似文献

Shallow gas in the Korea Strait shelf mud (KSSM) off SE Korea, revealed by high-resolution subbottom profiles, is associated with acoustic blanking, acoustic turbidity, seepages with plumes in the water column, and seafloor depressions. The acoustic blanking, characterized by strong, consistent top reflection and wipeout below, is most dominant. The seaward edge of the acoustic blanking zone generally coincides with the 100-m water-depth contour, suggesting that the water depth (the pressure) may control the distribution of shallow gas. The acoustic turbidity, characterized by diffuse top reflection, is a dark smear, partially blanking the data below. The seepages with plumes, characterized by vertical smearing and disturbed seafloor, are seen only along the shallowest, landward edge of the acoustic blanking zone. This may suggest that the decreased gas solubility at shallow water depths, caused by the lowered pressure, increases the volume of free gas in the sediments, facilitating the gas escape. The seafloor depressions, interpreted as pockmarks, are accompanied by cone-shaped acoustic masking, which is probably the reflection from a narrow vent of gas. The gas-related acoustic anomalies appear to occur mostly in the upper, recent mud of the KSSM. Neither permeable beds nor faults, which can act as vertical migration pathways for deep thermogenic gas, are evident in the recent mud. We interpret that the bacterial degradation of organic matter in situ is the main source for the gas in the KSSM. The upwelling off SE Korea may be an important source for the increased organic matter in the area. 相似文献

使用有限元模式(QUODDY)数值模拟了渤、黄、东海浅水区的M2和K1分潮潮流场。对于M2分潮潮流场,东分量和北分量的潮流调和常数与16个测站观测资料的平均绝对误差分别为8.23 cm/s,23.74°();7.36 cm/s,27.78(°)。对于K1分潮潮流场,则分别为8.39 cm/s,36.48(°);9.40 cm/s,38.04(°)。文中得到的M2分潮流在模拟海区共有9个圆流点(秦皇岛附近1个,莱州湾口1个,山东半岛北部海域2个,黄海北部2个,苏北辐射沙洲的外侧1个,舟山群岛东南海域2个)。K1分潮流在模拟海域也存在9个圆流点(秦皇岛附近1个,莱州湾口1个,北黄海2个,南黄海1个,苏北辐射沙洲的外侧1个,济州岛东南海域3个),其中黄海北部偏北的圆流点(39°25′N,123°05′E)和济州岛东南海域最东南的圆流点(32°50′N,127°50′E)以前未见过报道。 相似文献

To study the Taiwan Strait (TS), an unusual sea area, the numerical model in marginal seas of China is used to simulate and analyze the tidal wave motion in the strait. The numerical modeling experiments reproduce the amphidromic system of the M2 tide in the south end of the Taiwan strait, and consequently confirm the existence of the degenerate amphidromic system. On this basis, further discussion is conducted on the M2 system and its formation mechanism. It can be concluded that the tidal waves of the TS is consisted of the progressing wave from the north entrance and the degenerate amphidromic system from the south entrance, in which the progressing wave from the north entrance dominates the tidal wave motion in the strait. Except for the convergent effect caused by the landform and boundary, the degenerate amphidromic system produced in the south of the strait is another important factor for the following phenomena: the large tidal range in the middle of the strait, the concentrative zone of co-amplitude and co-phase line in the south of the strait. The degenerate amphidromic system is mainly produced by the incident Pacific Ocean tidal wave from the Luzon strait and the action by the shoreline and landform. The position of the amphidromic point is compelled to move toward southwest until degenerating by the powerful progressing wave from the north entrance. 相似文献

采用有限体积近岸海洋模型FVCOM,基于渤海2004和2014年的岸线地形数据,构建渤海2个年份的三维潮汐潮流数值模式;通过数值模拟研究,探讨了渤海岸线地形变化对潮波系统和潮流性质的影响。数值模拟结果表明:岸线地形变化后,半日分潮潮时在渤海湾、莱州湾和渤海中部东南海域提前,在辽东湾和渤海中部西北海域滞后;振幅在渤海湾及辽东湾增大,在莱州湾及渤海中部减小;位于秦皇岛和黄河口的半日分潮无潮点位置分别向西南和东南方向移动。渤海绝大部分海域全日分潮潮时提前,振幅增大,位于渤海海峡的全日潮无潮点位置向东移动。潮流性质系数在莱州湾增大,在渤海其他大部分海域减小,渤海规则半日潮流海区范围略有增加,不规则半日潮流海区范围相应减少。 相似文献
