We study mechanism of formation of black holes (BHs) from collisions of particles in the vicinity of the supermassive black hole acting as a particle accelerator trough BSW (Banados-Silk-West) effect. Moreover, we also investigate BH-BH collision, in which stellar black holes colliding near the horizon of a rotating supermassive black hole can reach large values of the center-of-mass energy. This result implies that high arbitrary energy of collisions causes to be transformed into radiation energy and particles, which might bring possible visible signals through the astrophysical observations. We study the radiation energy from a collision of two accelerating stellar black holes and find a maximal value of the radiation energy to be nearly E rad ≈2.5?1056 erg for the ultrarelativistic value of v/c=0.99 from BH-BH collisions.  相似文献

Spherical accretion onto black holes at high accretion rates leads to temperatures and optical depths for which Comptonization of the emerging radiation plays an important role, altering both the plasma temperature and the emergent spectrum. In this paper the nonlocal effects of Comptonization are accounted for by numerically modeling the scattering process with Monte Carlo techniques. Calculations are performed for black hole masses ranging from 101–109 M and are compared with the local scattering model of Ipser and Price (1983). It is found that the local scattering approximation underestimates the energy in the X-ray portion of the spectrum. Monte Carlo calculations shows that the spectrum flattens and the spectral index decreases to values about 20% below those obtained by using the local scattering approximation.  相似文献

Small black holes which can be located in the Earth interior are proposed as sources of correlated short-time variation of gravitational field (gravitoimpulses) and-radiation in (-background variation) due to the Hawking effect. We estimate the intensity and spectrum of photon radiation for black holes with masses of 108–1016 g and consider possibility registration of them after absorption in terrestrial matter or in air in the correlation with gravitoimpulses. Restrictions of short-time gravitational field variation by means existing devices give possible range of black hole masses of the order of 1014 g which produce high penetrative-radiation with energies more than 100 MeV and detectable gravitoimpulses at distances several kilometers.  相似文献

Analysis of recent observations of the elliptical galaxies NGC 4472 and NGC 4649 with the Chandra X-ray space telescope has revealed faint soft X-ray sources at their centers. The sources are located at the galactic centers, to within 1″, and are most likely associated with the radiation from the supermassive black holes that are assumed to be at the optical centers of these galaxies. Interest in these and several other similar objects stems from the unusually low luminosity of the supermassive black hole embedded in a dense interstellar medium. The sources have soft energy spectra in the Chandra energy range 0.2–10 keV. The source is detected at a 3σ confidence level only in the range 0.2–0.6 keV with a luminosity of ~6×1037 erg s?1 in NGC 4649 and in the range 0.2–2.5 keV with a luminosity of ~ 1.7×1038 erg ?1 in NGC 4472.  相似文献

Small, quiescent black holes can be considered as candidates for the missing dark matter of the universe, and as the core energy source of ball lightning. By means of gravitational tunneling, unidirectional radiation is emitted from black holes in a process much attenuated from that of Hawking radiation, P, which has proven elusive to detect. Gravitational tunneling emission is similar to electric field emission of electrons from a metal in that a second body is involved which lowers the barrier and gives the barrier a finite rather than infinite width. Hawking deals with a single isolated black hole. The radiated power here is P ∝ e-2Δγ P, where e-2Δγ is the transmission probability. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Various relations are found between the key parameters of black holes and active galactic nuclei. Some have a statistical property, others follow from the theoretical consideration of the evolution of these objects. In this paper we use a recently discovered empirical relation between the characteristic frequency of quasi-periodic oscillations of radiation ν br of black holes, their masses and matter accretion rates to determine the magnetic field strength B H at the black hole event horizon. Since the characteristic frequency can be determined from observations, the use of a new relation for the estimations of magnetic field B H can yield more definite results, since we are decreasing the number of the unknown or poorly-determined parameters of objects (it especially concerns the accretion rate ). The typical values which we have found are B H ≃ 108G for the stellar mass black holes, and B H ≃ 104G for the supermassive black holes. Besides, we demonstrate that if the linear polarization of an object is caused by the radiation of a magnetized accretion disk, then the degree of observable polarization is pν br −1/2.  相似文献

Vilkovisky has claimed to have solved the black hole backreaction problem and finds that black holes lose only ten percent of their mass to Hawking radiation before evaporation ceases. We examine the implications of this scenario for cold dark matter, assuming that primordial black holes are created during the reheating period after inflation. The mass spectrum is expected to be dominated by 10-gram black holes. Nucleosynthesis constraints and the requirement that the earth presently exist do not come close to ruling out such black holes as dark matter candidates. They also evade the demand that the photon density produced by evaporating primordial black holes does not exceed the present cosmic radiation background by a factor of about one thousand.  相似文献

An analysis of periodic components of flux variability was carried out based on the long-term monitoring of the nuclei of active galaxies 3C454.3, 1633+382, and 3C120, performed in the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory from 1985 to 2008 at 22.2 and 36.8 GHz. Long-period components of the variability (12–14 yrs) were detected and interpreted in terms of the precessional motion of the central body in binary systems. Short-period components (1.5–3 yrs) related to the orbital periods for the motions of the central supermassive black holes were also detected. We concluded that the brightest active galaxies observed as nonstationary sources in a wide range of wavelengths are binary systems of supermassive black holes at the stage of evolution close to coalescence. For the supposed binary black-hole systems, the masses of the central objects and their companions, the orbital radii of the companions, and the coalescence times were determined. The ratios of the masses in the binary systems in all cases proved to be less than ten, pointing to a strong gravitational effect of the companion on the central black hole. The velocities of the central body motion proved to be high, approximately 1000 km/s. This fact should be accounted for in the calculations of the rate of accretion onto the central body. The orbital radii of the companions fall into a narrow range between 4 × 1016 cm and 6 × 1016 cm, demonstrating a strong dependence of the masses of the binary systems on the orbital sizes and the energy loss for the gravitational radiation. Within the orbit of the companion during its motion through the accretion disk, a high temperature of surrounding gas is achieved. The high density of the medium, 109–1010 cm?3, combined with the magnetic field and shock waves propagating in the accretion disk, develop the conditions for powerful energy release in the directed jets.  相似文献

In the framework of ‘microscopic’ theory of black holes (J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. Suppl. B 70, 84, 2001; Astrophys. USSR 4, 659, 1996; 35, 335, 1991, 33, 143, 1990, 31, 345, 1989a; Astrophys. Space Sci. 1, 1992; Dokl. Akad. Nauk USSR 309, 97, 1989b), and references therein, we address the ‘pre-radiation time’ (PRT) of neutrinos from black holes, which implies the lapse of time from black hole’s birth till radiation of an extremely high energy neutrinos. For post-PRT lifetime, the black hole no longer holds as a region of spacetime that cannot communicate with the external universe. We study main features of spherical accretion onto central BH and infer a mass accretion rate onto it, and, further, calculate the resulting PRT versus bolometric luminosity due to accretion onto black hole. We estimate the PRTs of AGN black holes, with the well-determined masses and bolometric luminosities, collected from the literature by Woo Jong-Hak and Urry (Astrophys. J. 579, 530, 2002) on which this paper is partially based. The simulations for the black holes of masses M BH ≃(1.1⋅106 ÷4.2⋅109) M give the values of PRTs varying in the range of about T BH ≃(4.3⋅105 ÷5.6⋅1011) yr. The derived PRTs for the 60 AGN black holes are longer than the age of the universe (∼13.7 Gyr) favored today. At present, some of remaining 174 BHs may radiate neutrinos. However, these results would be underestimated if the reservoir of gas for accretion in the galaxy center is quite modest, and no obvious way to feed the BHs with substantial accretion.  相似文献

The relativistic dust grains which may be responsible for ultra-high energy cosmic rays, as suggested by the present author, interact with the cosmic black-body radiation. This results in the energy loss of the relativistic dust grains, so that their energy spectrum is cut-off at the Lorentz factor as large as 2×103 (0.1/a), wherea is the grain radius. The black-body radiation is scattered and absorbed by the dust grains. The photons scattered and reemitted contribute to metagalactic X-rays. The X-ray intensity estimated is comparable to the observed one in the soft X-ray region.  相似文献

We consider a cosmological model in which part of the Universe, Ωh~10?5, is in the form of primordial black holes with masses of ~ 105 M . These primordial black holes were the centers for growing protogalaxies, which experienced multiple mergers with ordinary galaxies and with each other. The galaxy formation is accompanied by the merging and growth of central black holes in the galactic nuclei. We show that the recently discovered correlations between central black hole masses and galactic bulge parameters naturally arise in this scenario.  相似文献

Almost all galaxies have massive central black holes in their centers with masses typically ranging from ~105 to ~109 M. However, the origin and evolution of these objects and their connection with the hosting galaxies are not completely understood yet. In this work we analyze the mass accretion rate of supermassive black holes (SMBH’s) and the mean Eddington ratio (MER) of type 1 AGN using data from the Sloan Sky Survey. For this purpose we improve the method for constructing the subsample of SMBH, taking into account the survey flux limit and the bias of the sample. It was observed that the mean bolometric luminosity of the active black holes can be represented by a function composed by a power law in mass and a like-Schechter function in redshift. Our results also show that both the mean Eddington ratio and the mass accretion rate are proportional to this function.  相似文献

We show that density spikes begin to form from dark matter particles around primordial black holes immediately after their formation at the radiation-dominated cosmological stage. This stems from the fact that in the thermal velocity distribution of particles there are particles with low velocities that remain in finite orbits around black holes and are not involved in the cosmological expansion. The accumulation of such particles near black holes gives rise to density spikes. These spikes are considerably denser than those that are formed later by the mechanism of secondary accretion. The density spikes must be bright gamma-ray sources. Comparison of the calculated signal from particle annihilation with the Fermi-LAT data constrains the present-day cosmological density parameter for primordial black holes with masses M BH ≥ 10?8 M from above by values from ΩBH ≤ 1 to ΩBH ≤ 10?8, depending on MBH. These constraints are several orders of magnitude more stringent than other known constraints.  相似文献

The origin of observed extremely high energy cosmic rays remains an astrophysical enigma. We show that a single evaporating primordial black hole should produce 8.5·1014 particles over a 1020 eV threshold. This emission results from direct production of fundamental constituents and from hadronization of quarks and gluons. The induced flux on the Earth is studied as a function of the local density of exploding black holes and compared with experimental data. The discovery potential of future detectors is finally reviewed.  相似文献

Supermassive black holes, with masses of 106 M to more than 109 M, are among the most spectacular objects in the Universe, and are laboratories for physics in extreme conditions. The primary goal of ARISE (Advanced Radio Interferometry between Space and Earth) is to use the technique of Space VLBI to increase our understanding of black holes and their environments, by imaging the havoc produced in the near vicinity of the black holes by their enormous gravitational fields. The mission will be based on a 25-meter space-borne radio telescope operating at frequencies between 8 and 86 GHz, roughly equivalent to an orbiting element of the Very Long Baseline Array. In an elliptical orbit with an apogee height of 40 000–100 000 km, ARISE will provide a resolution of 15 microarcsecond or better, 5–10 times better than that achievable on the ground. At frequencies of 43 and 86 GHz, the resolution of light weeks to light months in distant quasars will complement the gamma-ray and X-ray observations of high-energy photons, which come from the same regions near the massive black holes. At 22 GHz, ARISE will image the H2O maser disks in active galaxies more than 15 Mpc from Earth, probing accretion physics and giving accurate measurements of black-hole masses. ARISE also will study gravitational lenses at resolutions of tens of microarcseconds, yielding important information on the dark-matter distribution and on the possible existence of compact objects with masses of 103 M to 106 M.  相似文献

To extend Shapiro's (1973a, b) calculations of black hole accretion to the regimes of interstellar gas densities and of black hole masses for which emergent luminosities are expected to be high, the radiation hydrodynamics of spherically symmetric gas flows in static isotropic metrics is discussed. Since for the more luminous objects the optical depth of the accretion volume becomes large, particular attention has to be paid to radiative transfer through non-Euclidean spaces, and a method for solving the full transfer problem is presented. The method is applied to accretion into black holes of mass between 10M and 105 M , under the conservative assumption that all other heat sources, like dissipation of magnetic or turbulent energy, can be neglected in comparison to the compressional work term,p dV. In the interstellar gas parameter range of interest, the radiation field is then dominated by emission and absorption of synchrotron radiation from inner zones of the flow. Temperature stratifications, luminosities and emergent spectra resulting from these processes are calculated.  相似文献

The possibility of identifying some of Galactic gamma-ray sources as clusters of primordial black holes is discussed. The known scenarios of supermassive black hole formation indicate the multiple formation of lower-mass black holes. Our analysis demonstrates that due to Hawking evaporation the cluster of black holes with masses about 1015 g could be observed as a gamma-ray source. The total mass of typical cluster is ∼10 M. Detailed calculations have been performed on the basis of specific model of primordial black hole formation.  相似文献

I use the fact that the radiation emitted by the accretion disk of supermassive black hole can heat up the surrounding gas in the protogalaxy to achieve hydrostatic equilibrium during the galaxy formation. The correlation between the black hole mass M BH and velocity dispersion σ thus naturally arises. The result generally agrees with empirical fittings from observational data, even with M BH ≤106 M . This model provides a clear picture on how the properties of the galactic supermassive black holes are connected with the kinetic properties of the galactic bulges.  相似文献

Diffuse cosmic background and atmospheric gamma-radiation in the range 28 keV-4.1 MeV were studied with a scintillation spectrometer on board of the Kosmos 461 satellite. Separation of the cosmic and atmospheric components was made possible through a reliable determination of the geomagnetic dependences of albedo gamma-radiation: The spectrum of diffuse background in the energy range covered cannot be fitted with a common law. At energies below 400 keV the spectrum follows a power-law $$I = (5.6 \pm 0.5) \times 10^{ - 3} E^{ - (2.80 \pm 0.05)} cm^{ - 2} s^{ - 1} sr^{ - 1} MeV^{ - 1} .$$ Starting from 400 keV, this power-law breaks down; the spectrum revealing a clearly pronounced shoulder. Extrapolation of the power-law spectrum to higher energies shows that the gamma-ray component responsible for the change in the shape of the spectrum is quite strong, becoming predominant in the diffuse background in the range 1–100 MeV. The intensity of excess radiation is maximum in the region of 700–800 keV reaching ~1.8×10?2 cm?2s?1sr?1 MeV?1. The shape of the high energy component spectrum of the diffuse background constructed using the data of Kosmos 461 and SAS-2 is in agreement with the hypotheses of the cosmological origin of the radiation.  相似文献
