Results of a search for new H objects in the Cepheus region are presented. The observations on which the search was based were made in 1979 and 1985 at the 40 Schmidt telescope of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory with a 4° objective prism. Of the 80 emission stars detected, 68 are new. Most of them are fainter than the sun in absolute magnitude. A large fraction of the emission stars discovered may be flare stars as well as T Tau and Herbig Ae/Be stars.Translated fromAstrofizika, Vol. 39, No. 1, pp. 57–65, January–March, 1996.  相似文献

In their discussion of the transfer of polarized radiation in a weakly anisotropic, weakly inhomogeneous plasma, Cheng and Fung (1977) have included terms which describe the effects of mode coupling and of the variation of the characteristic polarizations. The latter effect is nonphysical, and only the mode-coupling term should be retained. As the problem was formulated by Cheng and Fung, the two terms would cancel exactly; consequently, when corrected, the work of Cheng and Fung leads to a simple and useful method of including the effects of mode coupling in the weak anisotropy limit.On leave from Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Science, Australian National University.  相似文献

A series of solar radio bursts were observed in AR NOAA 10486 withthe Solar Broadband (1.1--7.6 GHz) Radio Spectrometers (SBRS of China). Here weanalyze four significant events associated with CME events and strong X-ray flaresthat occurred on 2003 October 22, 26, 27, 29. The Oct. 26 event is a long durationevent (LDE) with drift pulsation structure (DPS), narrowband dm-burst (DCIM),and more than seven types of Fine Structures (FSs); its time of the maximum flux(07:30 UT) is about half an hour later than the X-flare (06:54 UT).  相似文献

Five new Herbig-Haro objects (HH 1036–1040) have been discovered in the neighborhood of the nebula GM 2–41 in a region with an area of 14′ × 14′, at the center of the HII region DR 15 located in the southern periphery of the Cyg OB2 association. Four of them have a complex structure typical of HH flows. Hydrogen molecular emission is detected in the object HH 1036 using archived images from the Spitzer telescope. Two new infrared nebulae illuminated by very red young stellar objects are also found.  相似文献

The survey is aimed to provide a quasar sample more complete than any previous survey by using a combined selection technique to reduce selection effects. We present the observational results for the X-ray candidates in field f836. We found 15 X-ray AGNs in this field of which eight are new discoveries. The X-ray data and optical spectra of these AGNs are given. We give the X-ray candidate selection criteria, which proved to be highly efficient in isolating X-ray AGNs.  相似文献

Relaxation of molecular thermal energy between translational and internal degrees of freedom, which occurs in the course of molecular collisions, acts to dissipate dynamical energy of the atmosphere and so produces attenuation of atmospheric waves. This paper establishes a basic formalism by means of which the effects may be incorporated readily into dynamical studies. It does so with the aid of a frequency-dependent complex thermal capacitance, cω, for which general formulae are developed. These formulae are extended to include the effects of radiative relaxation as well, and the imaginary part of cω is recast in a generalized form of Newtonian cooling coefficient; the relative importance of collisional relaxation and radiative relaxation in the dissipation of dynamical energy may be assessed readily with the aid of either parameter.The ‘volume viscosity’ that is sometimes attributed to the atmosphere is shown to have its origins in the same relaxation processes and to be nothing other than an alternative to Cω, for expressing their effects, an alternative that is inferior and even illegitimate in some circumstances and therefore one that should be abandoned in favour of cω.Though the paper is largely tutorial in nature, it establishes generalizations and limitations that appear to be absent from other work. Taking the 13-point smoothed monthly sunspot number, Ri, and the deviation of the 13 associated monthly sunspot numbers from the smoothed one, D_i, as a number-pair describing the global level of sunspot activity, the evolution of the level is statistically studied for the period from the month which is just 48 months before the minimum to the minimum in the descending phase, using the observed data of Solar Cycles 10 to 22. Our results show (1) for 46 months (94%) of the studied 49 months it is found that for a given month, the distribution of the 13 pairs which come from the 13 solar cycles on a log Ri-D_i plane may be fitted by a straight line with a correlation coefficient larger than the critical one at confidence level α= 5%, and for 36 months (73%) the fitting is even better, for α= 1%;(2) time variations of these two parameters and their correlations in the studied period can be described respectively by functions of time, whose main trends may be expressed by a linear or simple curvilinear function; (3) the evolutionary path of the level of sunspot activity may be represented by a logarithmic function as log R_i=0.704 In D_i-0.291.  相似文献
