SW Lacertae is a short-period variable star of the W UMa-type. A total of 261 photoelectric observations for eachU, B, andV filter were obtained in 1986 while 522 photoelectric observations for eachB andV filter were obtained in 1987. All these observations were transformed to theU, B, andV colours of theUBV standard system. Nine light curves for primary and secondary eclipses were obtained, their times of minima were determined and a new linear ephemeris was obtained. The period changes of the system were also discussed.  相似文献

The RS CVn-type eclipsing binary star MM Her has been observed in two colours,B andV, in 1979, 1980, and 1983. Several minima times were obtained during the observations and new light elements calculated. The light curves of the system obtained in blue and yellow lights show a significant wave-like distortion which migrates towards the decreasing orbital phases. Its migration period was estimated to be about 3.5 yr. The amplitudes of the wave-like distortion inB andV appear to change each year. The primary minimum of the system is a total eclipse with a duration of 0d.08.  相似文献

B andV observations of the W Ursae Majoris-type eclipsing variable system AK Her were made on five nights at the Ege University Observatory. Several times of minima were obtained during the observations and the new light elements were calculated. The light-time period was found to be about 75.72 years. The light curve of the system appears to change in each cycle for both colours. The secondary minimum of the system seems to be a total eclipse with a duration of about 42 m .5.  相似文献

NewUBV observations of the classical Algol system AW Peg were presented. The photometric minima times were collected and used together with the new determinations in a period study. No sign of any period change was found from observations covering more than sixty years. TheB andV light curves are analyzed by means of the Wilson-Devinney approach. It was verified that the system is semi-detached with a Roche lobe filling secondary.  相似文献

Photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary V 1073 Cyg have been carried out inB andV colours at the Ege University Observatory. The light curves were analyzed with the Wilson-Devinney approach. A period study reveals that the orbital period of the system is decreasing at the rate of (3.21 ± 0.17) second per century.  相似文献

U, B, andV observations of AR Lacertae, obtained in 1981, have been presented alongwith the colour indices. A distortion wave minimum is found to lie at 0 . P 21. The amplitude of the wave minimum inV filter is too weak, while it is stronger inU andV filters, the strongest being inV filter. The period of the migration wave turns out to be 2.53 yr.  相似文献

Photoelectric observations of WX Eridani inB andV filters have been discussed. The maximum magnitudes of the system areB=9 m .70 andV=9 m .46. TheB-V colours of the components are 0 m .16 and 0 m .80 for the primary and the secondary, respectively, while their spectral types are A5+K0. Photoelectric photometry has been obtained for CF Octantis on 39 nights. The object is a member of the RS CVn class and has a highly active chromosphere. A 20.15 ±0.06 d period has been found from theB andV magnitudes, which is interpreted as the rotational modulation of the light from a non-uniformly spotted star. The amplitude of this spot wave is observed to vary slowly between ΔV about 0m.l and 0m.3, which may be evidence for an activity cycle of 9 ±3 years.  相似文献

The RS CVn-type eclipsing binary AR Lac has been observed in two colours,B andV, in 1978 and 1979. Several times of minima have been obtained during the observations and the new light elements have been calculated. The orbital period of the system was found to be decreasing with an amount of 14.6 s century–1.The light curves of the system obtained inB andV show a significant wave-like distortion outside eclipses. The amplitudes of the wave-like distortion inB andV are about 0 . m 09 and 0 . m 10 in 1978, and, 0 . m 12 and 0 . m 13 in 1979, respectively. The minima of the wave-like distortion have shifted with an amount of 0 . p 40 in one year, thus indicating the migration period of the wave-like distortion is about 2.5 yr.A noticeable variation of light during the totality of primary minimum has also been observed. This variation can be attributed to the distortion wave which has been moving towards decreasing phases.  相似文献

The eclipsing variable RT Lac, which is classified as an RS CVn-type binary by Hall, was observed in two colours,B andV, during the summer seasons of 1978 and 1979. The observations made during two successive seasons indicate that, outside eclipses, the system has brightened by about 0.12 and 0.15 magnitudes on average inB andV, respectively. Moreover, RT Lac was even fainter when observed by Milone in 1965. While the total brightness of the system remained unchanged at mid-secondary, it increased at mid-primary and outside eclipses. This may be interpreted as indicating that the cooler component is responsible for the peculiar light variations.  相似文献

By use of the colour indicesU-B andB-V, the spectral types of the systemic components are estimated. Photoelectric observations of the eclipsing variable TZ Bootis, obtained in 1983 and 1986, in the two coloursB andV are presented: They are compared with the previous light curves of the system. The light curve changes show that the system TZ Bootis has a solar-like activity cycle with a period of 1500 days. The primary shows a transit, whereas the secondary shows an occultation minima. The maxima exhibit a large difference suggesting a large complication in the system. The (O-C) trend indicates that the period did not remain constant; a satisfactory representation of all the observed time of minimum light was obtaiend assuming a linear trend in the (O-C)s. The star may be classified to A-type W UMa systems.  相似文献

The photoelectricB andV colour observations of the Lyrae-type eclipsing binary CN And were made on four nights at the Ege University Observatory. The new light elements, which were calculated by adding new times of minima obtained during the observations to the previous ones, were given. Calibration of the CCD camera of the 1m telescope at the Vainu Bappu Observatory, Kavalur, to theB V R system is reported here based on the observations of stars in the ‘dipper asterism’ in the open cluster M 67 (NGC 2682). Transformations involvingB andV have negligible colour terms, while those involvingR are slightly colour dependent. The possibility of using scaled-downR band fluxes to estimate the continuum flux at Hα is investigated by comparing the counts inR band with those through an interference filter centred at Hα. The scaling factor is found to remain constant over a wide range of colours. The sensitivity of the telescope-filter-CCD combination is estimated to be 2.0 per cent, 8.3 per cent and 9.7 per cent inB, V andR bands, respectively. The star F117 appears to be a small-amplitude (∼ 0.05 mag) variable.  相似文献

The photoelectric light curves of XY Cet of Srivastava and Padalia (1975) and of Morrison and Morrison (1968), from which considerably different sets of photometric elements have previously been deduced, were re-analyzed in detail. The elements derived in the present study from Srivastava and Padalia's (1975)UBV observations arer g=0.157±0.006 (p.e.),r s=0.142±0.007,i=88°.4±0°.5,L g=0.600±0.017, 0.602±0.015 and 0.584±0.018 forU, B andV, respectively. It is also found from their light curves that the system has an eccentric orbit withe cos =0.0026±0.0005. The elements deduced from theV observations of Morrison and Morrison (1968) are found to be in satisfactory agreement with those presented above.The existence of theAm characteristics of both components, which was recognized by earlier spectroscopic observations, are supported by theB-V andU-B color indices and [m 1] value of the system. Both components are also found to have appreciably evolved, as expected for metallicline stars.  相似文献
