The electromagnetic fields induced by hydroacoustic waves, propagating in a liquid conducting medium in an alternating magnetic field, have been considered. The equation, relating the induced magnetic field to the undisturbed antenna field and acoustic wave parameters, has been obtained. The spatial—temporal pattern of the induced field has been constructed in the case when acoustic wave propagates along a direct line with an alternating current.  相似文献

The magnetic field generated by an acoustic wave, propagating in the oceanic wave guide, has been considered. It has been indicated that the induced field is most substantial at frequencies when only the first normal mode exists. The dependences of the induced field component on the depth, frequency, and direction of the geomagnetic field have been obtained in this frequency band. The possibility of determining coordinates of a strong underwater earthquake using the acoustic field magnetic field has been considered.  相似文献

在国际参考地磁场(IGRF)模型中,高阶球谐系数比低阶系数小得多,所以高阶项对主磁场的贡献常被忽略不计. 但是,高阶项对主磁场的长期变化却有重大影响. 本文根据第八代IGRF模型,分析了IGRF 1945~1955中高阶球谐系数的异常特征对长期变化的影响,然后用修正IGRF模型估计并改正了这些影响. IGRF高阶项随深度增加而迅速增大,所以高阶系数的误差对深部磁场位形和磁场能量的计算有不可忽视的影响,对核幔界面流动状态的推断和地核半径的地磁估计有更为重大的影响.  相似文献

根据第8代IGRF模型,计算分析了1900-2000年地球磁场和分量X,Y,Z的空间功率谱的变化特征。结果表明1900-2000年主磁场的空间功率谱呈减小趋势,由功率谱随谐波阶次n的变化关系得出的非偶极子场的等效磁源位于核幔边界附近,而且其位置随时间变化,用n=1,2两阶谐波的谱得到的等效磁源位于地球内核边缘,1900年以来离开地心一直向外增大。  相似文献

The magnetic field generated by an acoustic wave propagating in the oceanic waveguide has been considered. The effect of the self-induction factor on the spatial structure of this field has been studied. It has been indicated that there exists a frequency range where it is necessary to take into consideration self-induction. It has been indicated that the induced field is most substantial at frequencies when only the first normal mode exists. In this paper, an improved method is presented to reduce vibrator harmonic distortion, one harmonic at a time and the method is illustrated with both simulated and field data. This method improves on the previous method that treated all the harmonics at once. The significant contribution in this procedure is a considerable reduction for the harmonics without any alteration for the weakest signals possibly present in positive and negative times. The core of the proposed technique depends on an accurate simulation for all the harmonics one by one existing in the positive and negative times of the data after cross‐correlation with the fundamental sweep and then subtracting the simulated harmonics from the original data using an optimization procedure. The steps and mathematical equations of the procedure are explained in detail in the body of the article in the section titled ‘harmonic by harmonic attenuation procedure’. Accordingly, a well‐developed procedure for enhancing the vibroseis data quality in both down‐ and up‐sweep data is illustrated. The procedure was tested on both synthetic and field data sets.  相似文献

为了综合反映地球表面行星尺度磁异常的展布面积、磁场极值以及磁场分布特征等多种因素及其与磁能的关系,本文用穿过各异常区的“无符号磁通量”为特征参数来表征磁异常区强度.用第八代国际参考地磁场模型(IGRF),分析了1900年到2000年全球最大的5个磁异常区的长期变化,结果表明,在一百年中,南大西洋(SAT)、大洋洲(AUS)和非洲(AF)3个异常区的磁通量均增加了200MWb以上,欧亚异常(EA)磁通量增加幅度稍小(157MWb),上述4个异常区磁通量增幅为30%-60%,而北美异常(NAM)的磁通量则减小了50MWb.各异常区面积虽有变化,但最大变化仅为%左右.对磁异常区的西向漂移研究表明,地球表面和核幔界面的西漂明显存在差异:地表磁场有持续而稳定的西向漂移,全球平均西漂速度为0.2°/a;但核幔界面磁场的西向漂移速度要小得多,最大不超过0.1°/a.形成这种差异的原因可能是组成地磁场的不同球谐分量有不同的漂移速度;地表磁场的西漂主要决定于占优势的低阶分量,而核幔界面的西漂则受到高阶分量的重大影响.本文指出,在把地表西漂值用作地核磁流体运动速度的典型值时必须十分谨慎.  相似文献

Approaches for estimating the influence of nonlinear effects on long-distance propagation of acoustic signals in an isothermal atmosphere are developed. It has been indicated that nonlinear effects can be ignored on paths up to 3000 km at beam angles smaller than 35° (nonlinear absorption). However, the spectrum will be pronouncedly distorted at these distances due to the generation of new harmonics (for initial Mach numbers about 10−4).  相似文献

The works on paleomagnetic observations of the dipole geomagnetic field, its variations, and reversals in the last 3.5 billion years have been reviewed. It was noted that characteristic field variations are related to the evolution of the convection processes in the liquid core due to the effect of magnetic convection and solid core growth. Works on the geochemistry and energy budget of the Earth’s core, the effect of the solid core on convection and the generation of the magnetic field, dynamo models are also considered. We consider how core growth affects the magnetic dipole generation and variations, as well as the possibility of magnetic field generation up to the appearance of the solid core. We also pay attention to the fact that not only the magnetic field but also its configuration and time variations, which are caused by the convection evolution in the core on geological timescales, are important factors for the biosphere.  相似文献

For the first time, the ultra-low oscillation mode of the sunspot magnetic field strength has been detected with a high degree of confidence by ground-based observations of sunspots with the Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) network of telescopes. Synchronous series of magnetograms derived from the GONG and Solar and Heliospheric Observatory/Michelson Doppler Imager (SOHO/MDI) have been processed. They were obtained on September 27–30, 2010, for the active region NOAA 11109 with a total duration of 80 h. The periods of magnetic field oscillations found by space data coincide with the periods defined with GONG. This confirms the physical reality of the oscillatory process. The power spectrum contains harmonics with periods of 26 h, 8–10 h, and 3–4 h.  相似文献

Two global analytical models of the main magnetic field of the Earth (MFE) have been used to determine their potential in deriving an anomalous MFE from balloon magnetic surveys conducted at altitudes of ~30 km. The daily mean spherical harmonic model (DMSHM) constructed from satellite data on the day of balloon magnetic surveys was analyzed. This model for the day of magnetic surveys was shown to be almost free of errors associated with secular variations and can be recommended for deriving an anomalous MFE. The error of the enhanced magnetic model (EMM) was estimated depending on the number of harmonics used in the model. The model limited by the first 13 harmonics was shown to be able to lead to errors in the main MFE of around 15 nT. The EMM developed to n = m = 720 and constructed on the basis of satellite and ground-based magnetic data fails to adequately simulate the anomalous MFE at altitudes of 30 km. To construct a representative model developed to m = n = 720, ground-based magnetic data should be replaced by data of balloon magnetic surveys for altitudes of ~30 km. The results of investigations were confirmed by a balloon experiment conducted by Pushkov Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere, and Radio Wave Propagation of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow Aviation Institute.  相似文献

A review of studies devoted to the problem of exciting magnetic signals in the crust associated with the formation of the major rupture in an earthquake source and with the propagation of seismic waves was given in [Sgrigna et al., 2004]. However, this review contains incorrect citations from original papers and several erroneous statements concerning inertial and inductive mechanisms of conversion of the energy of rock motion into magnetic field energy. These mistakes are analyzed in the present paper. The formal and physical similarity between seismomagnetic waves in the crust and Alfvén waves in the magnetosphere is used in the analysis. A comparative analysis of the inertial and inductive mechanisms of seismomagnetic field generation is performed. The Cherenkov criterion of Alfvén wave generation due to the ionospheric effect of acoustic waves from earthquakes and explosions is derived. Attention is also given to nonlinear phenomena (nonlinearity of a mechanomagnetic conversion in the crust and anharmonicity and self-focusing of Alfvén waves in the magnetosphere).  相似文献

The equation of motion (Navier-Stokes equation) for a uniformly rotating, compressible, magnetic, viscous fluid is analyzed in terms of infinite series of spherical surface harmonics. Differential equations are obtained for the radial functions of the poloidal and toroidal harmonics of the velocity, corresponding to those obtained by Bullard and Gellman for the magnetic field from the electromagnetic induction equation. This new analysis opens the way for the dynamical problem of electromagnetic induction in the earth's core to be considered by the spherical harmonic method.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to investigate tide–surge interaction in narrow channels with complex and relatively shallow topography. A high-resolution depth-integrated tidal and storm surge model has been implemented for the Tjeldsund channel which is an important sailing lane in northern Norway. A horizontal grid resolution down to 50 m is applied in order to represent the complex bottom topography and the formation of jets and small-scale eddies. Two typically storm surge events in December 2004 have been examined in detail. The tide–surge interaction is found to influence the generation of higher harmonics and the formation of eddies in the current field. In some cases, the magnitude of storm surge currents may reach the same magnitude as the tidal currents enhancing the formation of jets and eddies.  相似文献

We study generation of magnetic fields, involving large spatial scales, by convective plan-forms in a horizontal layer. Magnetic modes and their growth rates are expanded in power series in the scale ratio, and the magnetic eddy diffusivity (MED) tensor is derived for flows, symmetric about the vertical axis in a layer. For convective rolls we demonstrate that MED is never below molecular magnetic diffusivity. For cell patterns possessing the symmetries of a rectangle, critical values of molecular magnetic diffusivity for the onset of small- and large-scale magnetic field generation are the same. No instances of negative MED in hexagonal cells have been detected. A family of plan-forms has been found numerically, where MED is negative for molecular magnetic diffusivity over the threshold for the onset of small-scale magnetic field generation. However, the region in the parameter space, where large-scale dynamo action is observed, is small.  相似文献

The most common approach for the processing of data of gravity field satellite missions is the so-called time-wise approach. In this approach satellite data are considered as a time series and processed by a standard least-squares approach. This approach has a very strong flexibility but it is computationally very demanding. To improve the computational efficiency and numerical stability, the so-called torus and Rosborough approaches have been developed. So far, these approaches have been applied only for global gravity field determinations, based on spherical harmonics as basis functions. For regional applications basis functions with a local support are superior to spherical harmonics, because they provide the same approximation quality with much less parameters. So far, torus and Rosborough approach have been developed for spherical harmonics only. Therefore, the paper aims at the development and testing of the torus and Rosborough approach for regional gravity field improvements, based on radial basis functions as basis functions. The developed regional Rosborough approach is tested against a changing gravity field produced by simulated ice-mass changes over Greenland. With only 350 parameters a recovery of the simulated mass changes with a relative accuracy of 5% is possible.  相似文献

The specific features of the spatial structure and time dynamics of the main geomagnetic field during the 20th century, proceeding from the present-day concepts of geomagnetic jerks have been studied. The variations, caused by global dissipation of the geomagnetic field dipole part, have been separated from the regional variations, described by nondipole spatial harmonics of the spherical harmonic expansion series. It has been indicated that the geomagnetic field westward drift manifests itself in a limited region of the Earth’s surface, forming the known Brazil anomaly. However, the drift component in the variations in the geomagnetic field morphological structures is globally found out during the considered almost 100-year period along the narrow belt around the geomagnetic axis. However, this drift is northwestward in the Northern Hemisphere, and the structures drift southeastward in the Southern Hemisphere. The detected variations of the drift nature are reflected in the variations in the integral geomagnetic characteristic, when changes in the position of the Earth’s magnetic center are considered. The direct correlation between the global geomagnetic variations of the drift nature and the trend variations in the orientation of the vector of the Earth daily rotation velocity has been detected.  相似文献

In the last few decades, satellites have acquired various potential data sets hundreds of kilometers above the Earth’s surface. Conventionally, these global magnetic and gravitational data sets are approximated by using spherical harmonics that allow straightforward work with both fields outside the Earth’s mass. In this article, we present an alternative approach for working with potential data in mass-free space given over a regular coordinate grid on a spherical surface. The algorithm is based on an iterative scheme and the Poisson integral equation for the sphere. With help from the Fourier transform, global potential (magnetic or gravitational) data can efficiently be continued from a mean orbital sphere down to a reference surface without using the spherical harmonics. This is illustrated both with simulated magnetic field data and with real data from the satellite gradiometry mission GOCE. In the case of simulated magnetic data and the downward continuation for 450 km, we have achieved a root mean square at the level of 0.05 nT, while it was <1 E (eotvos) for real GOCE data continued for 250 km. The crucial point is to apply the algorithm twice as a large part of noise can be removed from the input data.  相似文献

Based on data of the optical measurements performed at Orbita observatory, Almaty (76°55′ E, 43°15′ N), it has been established that the region of LF oscillations in the range of periods from 0.5 to 2.5 h includes the components composed of the heterodyne frequencies of two oscillations. It has been indicated that the origination of these harmonics can be interpreted when solving the linear problem of a resonance behavior of acoustic gravity waves under the action of diurnal variations in the solar radiation intensity, and the heterodyne frequencies appear due to the effect of acoustic gravity wave enhancement in an acoustically active medium.  相似文献
