Array measurements of microtremors at 16 sites in the city of Thessaloniki were performed to estimate the Vs velocity of soil formations for site effect analysis. The spatial autocorrelation method was used to determine phase velocity dispersion curves in the frequency range from 0.8–1.5 to 6–7 Hz. A Rayleigh wave inversion technique (stochastic method) was subsequently applied to determine the Vs profiles at all the examined sites. The determination of Vs profiles reached a depth of 320 m. Comparisons with Vs values from cross-hole tests at the same sites proved the reliability of the SPAC method. The accuracy of the Vs profiles, the ability to reach large penetration depths in densely populated urban areas and its low cost compared to conventional geophysical prospecting, make Mictrotremor Exploration Method very attractive and useful for microzonation and site effects studies. An example of its application for the site characterization in Thessaloniki is presented herein. 相似文献

Since the generalized transfer matrix method overcomes the intrinsic instability of the Thomson–Haskell transfer matrix method for both high frequencies and/or thick layers, it can produce stable and accurate solutions for the dynamic analysis of viscoelastic media as well as anisotropic media. This paper extends the generalized transfer matrix method to the dynamic analysis of multilayered poroelastic media. Main improvements include the presentation of the concisely explicit general solutions for the dynamic analysis of multilayered poroelastic media and the derivation of an analytical inversion of 8×8 order layer matrix corresponding to the general solutions. The explicit solutions are valid for the dynamic analysis of one-dimensional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional poroelastic medium problems. In addition, an efficient recursive scheme is proposed for accurate determination of the equivalent interface sources for multilayered poroelastic media due to excitation by a source at an arbitrary depth. For the dynamic analysis of multilayered poroelastic media, the generalized transfer matrix method recursively transfers both the interface stiffness matrix and equivalent source starting from the bottom half space to the top layer, without resort to the numerical solution of the assembled global equations as the exact stiffness matrix method does. While keeping the simplicity of the Thomson–Haskell transfer matrix method, the generalized transfer matrix method is both accurate and stable. The related numerical examples have demonstrated that the generalized transfer matrix method is an alternative approach to conducting the dynamic analysis of multilayered poroelastic media. 相似文献

本文首次利用解析法有效快速估计了将来GRACE(Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) Follow-On地球重力场的精度. 第一,基于功率谱原理分别建立了新的GRACE Follow-On卫星激光干涉星间测量系统星间速度、GPS接收机轨道位置和轨道速度以及加速度计非保守力误差影响累计大地水准面的单独和联合解析误差模型. 第二,利用提出的GRACE卫星关键载荷匹配精度指标和美国喷气推进实验室(JPL)公布的GRACE Level 1B实测精度指标的一致性,以及估计的GRACE累计大地水准面精度和德国波兹坦地学研究中心(GFZ)公布的EIGEN-GRACE02S地球重力场模型实测精度的符合性,验证了本文建立的解析误差模型是可靠的. 第三,论证了GRACE Follow-On卫星不同关键载荷匹配精度指标和轨道高度对地球重力场精度的影响. 在360阶处,利用轨道高度250 km、星间距离50 km、星间速度误差1×10-9m/s、轨道位置误差3×10-5m、轨道速度误差3×10-8m/s和非保守力误差3×10-13m/s2,基于联合解析误差模型估计累计大地水准面的精度为1.231×10-1 m. 本文的研究不仅为当前GRACE和将来GRACE Follow-On地球重力场精度的有效快速确定提供了理论基础和计算保证,同时对国际将来GRAIL(Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory)月球卫星重力测量计划的成功实施具有重要的参考意义. 相似文献

The spatial dynamics of bursts of geomagnetic Pi2-type pulsations during a typical event of a magnetospheric substorm (April 13, 2010) drifting to the pole was investigated using the method of generalized variance characterizing the integral time increment of the total horizontal amplitude of the wave at a given point in the selected time interval. The digital data of Scandinavian profile observations from IMAGE magnetometers with 10-second sampling and data of the INTERMAGNET project observations at the equatorial, middle-latitude and subauroral latitudes with a 1-second sampling were used in the analysis. It was shown that Pi2 pulsation bursts in a frequency band of 8–20 mHz appear simultaneously on a global scale: from the polar to equatorial latitudes with maximum amplitudes at latitudes of the maximum intensity of the auroral electrojet and with a maximum amplitude of geomagnetic pulsations Pi3 within a band of 1.5–6 mHz. The first (left-polarized) intensive Pi2 burst appeared at auroral latitudes several minutes after breakup, while the second (right-polarized) burst occurred 15 min after breakup but at higher (polar) latitudes where the substorm had displaced by that time. The direction of wave-polarization vector rotation was opposite for auroral and subauroral latitudes, but it was identical at the equator and in the subauroral zone. The pulsation amplitude at the equator was maximal in the night sector. 相似文献

GPS技术的发展提出了新的大地边值问题——GPS重力边值问题.本文将Bjerhammar方法应用于GPS重力问题的求解,并在给出理论公式的基础上,针对实际计算中虚拟场元的分布和求解、虚拟球半径的确定及奇异积分等问题提出了具体的解决方案.文中通过比例因子k在虚拟球半径和GPS重力数据密度间建立起联系,并推导出其近似值.在此基础上,利用收集到的某地区的4870个GPS重力数据计算了该地区的似大地水准面,65个高精度GPS水准点进行的外部检核表明其精度为±2.4 cm.经二次多项式拟合后,另外29个GPS水准点外部检核精度达到±1.4 cm.不同分辨率GPS重力数据的计算结果表明,尽管比例因子k的近似值不是最优值,但其对重力场逼近效果影响不是很大.这些结果说明了将Bjerhammar方法应用于GPS重力边值问题求解的合理性及本文计算方法的可行性和可靠性. 相似文献

The generalized gamma (GG) distribution has a density function that can take on many possible forms commonly encountered in hydrologic applications. This fact has led many authors to study the properties of the distribution and to propose various estimation techniques (method of moments, mixed moments, maximum likelihood etc.). We discuss some of the most important properties of this flexible distribution and present a flexible method of parameter estimation, called the generalized method of moments (GMM) which combines any three moments of the GG distribution. The main advantage of this general method is that it has many of the previously proposed methods of estimation as special cases. We also give a general formula for the variance of theT-year eventX
T obtained by the GMM along with a general formula for the parameter estimates and also for the covariances and correlation coefficients between any pair of such estimates. Generalized inversion of the S-wave amplitude spectra from the strong-motion network data in the Alborz, Iran has been used to estimate simultaneously source parameters, site response and S-wave attenuation (Qs). To obtain an optimum inverse solution, and also for decreasing the uncertainty level, a frequency-dependent site amplification as a constraint, was imposed to five reference site responses. This constraint removes the undetermined degree of freedom in the inversion. Furthermore, for removing the trade-off between geometrical spreading and anelastic attenuation, a geometrical spreading factor was adopted from the Motazedian [20] study. A point source model has been calibrated against the resulting source terms and consequently source parameters, like corner frequency, moment magnitude and high frequency fall off coefficient, for each event has been determined separately. Also, based on the available data and their connectivity two sub-regions including western and eastern parts of Alborz located east and west of 52.5°E have been considered to see that if there is any possible systematic difference in their seismic source characteristics. The average stress drops obtained are about 182 and 116 bars, respectively for eastern and western Alborz. Another result of the study is the site responses, which have been determined for all of 81 stations individually. Though soil nonlinearity was detected at the Ab-bar station (experienced strong ground shaking, i.e., PGA>0.5 g) near to the epicenter of Manjil M7.4 earthquake of June 20, 1990, but an analysis of residuals showed generally a weak influence of soil nonlinearity (i.e., dependence of amplification on shaking level); probably because of the relatively weak levels of acceleration in our database. Finally, the shear wave quality factor (i.e., Qs) has been determined as a function of frequency represented by a linear equation in logarithmic scale. To evaluate the outcomes of the current study, the results have been compared with similar studies wherever it was available. The results of the current study are of utmost importance for seismic hazard assessment of the metropolitan area of Tehran, where 15 million people live, one-fifth of the population of Iran. 相似文献

The exact solution of the direct gravity problem, as known from the theory of two-dimensional fields [1–3], is closely connected with the problem of the analytic continuation of the exterior field of the attracting mass system into its interior. In the first place, this is a problem of determining the singularities of the exterior field, their distribution within the system and their nature. This approach to the solution of the direct problem is also meaningful from the point of view of determining the characteristics of the attracting system and, therefore, also of solving the inverse problem. In the case of two-dimensional fields the methods of analytical continuation were widely developed in a series of well-known papers by V. N. Strakhov, and they are mainly based on the methods of the theory of the functions of the complex variable. These methods were also successfully applied by Tsirulskii and Golizdra [1, 2] in treating the homogeneous and inhomogeneous, two-dimensional direct problem by means of Cauchy's integrals. Abstract Statistical analysis of extremes is often used for predicting the higher return-period events. In this paper, the trimmed L-moments with one smallest value trimmed—TL-moments (1,0)—are introduced as an alternative way to estimate floods for high return periods. The TL-moments (1,0) have an ability to reduce the undesirable influence that a small value in the statistical sample might have on a large return period. The main objective of this study is to derive the TL-moments (1,0) for the generalized Pareto (GPA) distribution. The performance of the TL-moments (1,0) was compared with L-moments through Monte Carlo simulation based on the streamflow data of northern Peninsular Malaysia. The result shows that, for some cases, the use of TL-moments (1,0) is a better option as compared to L-moments in modelling those series. Citation Ahmad, U.N., Shabri, A. & Zakaria, Z.A. 大地电磁正演理论研究热点一直以来主要集中在如何提高计算效率和精度,但在剖面足够长、探测深度足够大的情况下,传统的笛卡尔坐标系数值模拟方式难以准确拟合地球曲率形态.本文研究了基于球坐标系的三维大地电磁正演,推导了交错网格有限差分三维正演公式,与一维解析解和三维标准模型测试对比,验证了正演算法的正确性.通过理论模型计算,对比分析球坐标和笛卡尔坐标系正演结果表明:球坐标系模拟更合理,避免了传统笛卡尔坐标拉伸投影所引入的误差,可代替目前的笛卡尔坐标模拟方法.基于球坐标和笛卡尔坐标系的三维大地电磁正演响应值随着频率变低差异越明显.球坐标和笛卡尔坐标计算结果差异度与频率、模型结构和电阻率有关.本文模型计算结果在数万秒周期处已出现接近10%的差异,对于较大尺度的长周期大地电磁,地球曲率的影响不能忽略.

This study examined the fouling organisms on the legs of offshore oil platforms at two sites in the southern Arabian Gulf (offshore Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates). 100% of the metal structures was colonized by encrusting organisms. Both the number of individuals and the total biomass tended to decrease with depth. The total weight of dead shells always exceeded that of living organisms. Sessile filter feeders dominated the biomass, whereas small mobile forms had the largest number of individuals. The biomass at the deeper platform (22 m) was dominated by bivalves, barnacles and bryozoans, while polychaetes and amphipods had the greatest number of individuals. Biomass values here ranged from 1 g/0.1 m2 at 20 m to 147 g/0.1 m2 at 5 m; the corresponding individual numbers were 266 (20 m) and 11,814 indiv./0.1 m2 (5 m). The results at the shallower platform (11 m) differed in several respects: barnacles clearly dominated over bivalves, and sponges exceeded byrozoans, while total individual numbers fell due to a decline in polychaete dominance. Biomass values here ranged from 84 g/0.1 m2 at 10 m to 153 g/0.1 m2 at 0 m; the corresponding individual numbers were 695 (10 m) and 3,125 indiv./0.1 m2 (0 m). The potential role of such fouling communities on artificial structures in the Gulf is discussed. 相似文献

A useful method for increasing the signal/noise ratio of refracted waves is Common-Midpoint (CMP)-refraction seismics. With this technique the shallow underground can be described in detail using all information (amplitude, frequency, phase characteristics) of the wavetrain following the first break (first-break phase). Thus, the layering can be determined and faults, weak zones, and clefts can be identified. This paper deals with the optimization of CMP-refraction seismics used in combination with the Generalized Reciprocal Method (GRM). Theoretical studies show a close relationship of both methods to the kinematics of wave propagation. Velocities and optimum offsets determined by the GRM can be used directly in the partial Radon transformation in CMP-refraction seismics. The integration of refracted waves leads to an increase in the signal/noise ratio but simultaneously the integration boundaries must be restricted to deal only with selective parts of the investigated refractor. The result of this process is an intercept-time section which can be converted directly to a depth section using standard refraction seismic techniques. Another possibility of depth conversion is the transformation of this intercept-time section to a `pseudo-zero-offset section', known from reflection seismics. Thus, zero-offset sections can be migrated using wave-equation techniques such as Kirchhoff migration. 相似文献

Emf measurements were made on the cell Pt|Fe,(Fe,Mg)xSi2O6,SiO2|(ZrO2)0.85(CaO)0.15|Fe,FeO|Pt at 1000 K. Using the present data, the standard free energy of formation of ferrosilite (compound FeSiO3), from the component oxides FeO and SiO2, is calculated to be −6.35 ± 0.80 kJ/mol. The activity-composition relation for pyroxene solid solution shows that it has a positive deviation from ideality at 1000 K.
