An echo sounder has been developed with features ideally suited to oceanographic and fisheries research. Instruments commonly used for such research are inaccurate, limited in dynamic range, unstable, and generally inflexible. An effort has been made to overcome these deficiencies with the sonar system discussed here. The echo sounder to be described has a time-varied-gain receiver (20 log_{10} Ror40 log_{10} R + 2alphaR) accurate to withinpm0.5dB over a 100-dB range. The equivalent dynamic range is 140 dB (the ratio of the maximum signal at minimum gain to the equivalent input noise at maximum gain in a 4-kHz bandwidth). The temperature stability ispm0.5dB from10degto35degC at any range. Operating parameters, including frequency, can be easily altered to accommodate a variety of needs.  相似文献

在近岸河口湍流研究中,实测的湍流资料往往容易受到噪声的影响,导致湍流特征量的估算出现偏差。本征正交分解是一种将流场在能量上进行分解再重构的方法,基于该方法,结合数值实验和野外实测资料,对包含噪声的湍流数据进行了去噪处理。结果表明:(1)本征正交分解能有效去除湍流中的噪声。在进行信号重构时,应将保留能量的百分比与湍流能量占比保持一致。去噪的效果与噪声占比有关,噪声占比越高,去噪效果越明显。(2)在实测资料中,憩流时刻的噪声占比要显著大于非憩流时刻,水平方向的噪声占比要大于垂直方向。经过本征正交分解去噪后,各湍流特征量的估算更加合理。  相似文献

This paper deals with the development of a processing technique that improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the single sensor for a received signal that is embedded in a partially correlated noise field. The approach of this study is unique in that the noise is treated as being non-white and partially correlated. The concept of the proposed development is based on the time interval over which the temporal coherence or correlation properties of a noise field are defined. For narrowband signals, the associated temporal coherence period is much longer than the correlation time interval of the anisotropic noise field. Thus, a coherent integration of discontinuous segments of received signals will enhance the SNR at the single sensor by lowering the correlation properties of the associated non-white noise. Reconstruction of the narrow-band signal time series, with improved SNR at the sensor will allow the use of the existing high resolution techniques to be utilized more effectively by lowering their threshold values in order to detect very weak signals. The intention here is to integrate the characteristics of the real anisotropic noise field during the preliminary processing stages of the received signals by an array of sensors. Beam-noise spectrum levels were measured with high-resolution horizontal arrays of 22 to 100 wavelengths long at frequencies between 50 and 320 Hz in the Mediterranean Sea. Results indicate that the low-frequency noise field has two major components one of which is due to the dynamic and temporally variable distant shipping. Beam noise level differences of 10 to 20 dB were observed between the resolved distant shipping and the uncorrelated background noise. The measured distributions of beam-noise-intensity fluctuations were found to be non-Gaussian. The beam-noise-intensity distribution was found to depend on aperture length, frequency, bandwidth, integration time, and steering angle. The shapes of the beam-noise-intensity cumulative distribution functions were variable and qualitatively described by nonhomogeneous compound Poisson process as shown with a simulation of the shipping-induced noise field. Temporal characteristics of beam-noise-intensity fluctuations were found to have noise level fades at 30% probability below the median noise level with durations of 1 h for observations over 10 h.  相似文献

The dispersion of SeaMARC II phase-difference samples is discussed. They appear to be a function of signal direction, range, noise level, and backscatter strength of the bottom. Field data from a lava flow area and from sedimented areas at different depths are compared. The temporal distribution of the phase-difference samples was skewed and asymmetrical about the model. The angular distribution was symmetrical about the mode, with some phase wrap-around. The field data show the presence of a complicated noise interference field. The amount of phase-difference dispersion was larger than that calculated by using a simple Gaussian isotropic noise model, possibly suggesting an additional phase-dispersion process caused by bottom roughness. 为进一步降低侧扫声纳回波信号中非高斯分布的乘性噪声,获取更佳效果的侧扫声纳图像,提出了一种利用小波和NLM(nonlocal means)滤波的组合降噪方法。首先采用同态变换将侧扫声纳回波ping信号中的乘性噪声转换为加性噪声,然后利用小波阈值和NLM滤波对侧扫声纳每ping回波数据实施降噪处理,最后经过小波反变换和指数变换获取降噪后信号和图像。仿真实验和实测数据验证结果表明,该方法适用于侧扫声纳回波信号处理,可以获取较好的图像降噪效果。  相似文献

提出了小波变换与高斯函数相结合进行影像去噪的方法,在去除高斯白噪声的同时能够有效去除椒盐噪声。此方法是在小波域内结合小波变换的特点对高频子带分别进行高斯低通滤波,将滤波后的小波系数经过反变换后即可得到经过去噪后的影像。实验表明该方法不仅对高斯噪声和椒盐噪声去噪效果明显,而且保留了影像的细节信息,其滤波效果优于中值滤波和小波软阈值法。  相似文献

Underwater acoustic telemetry has a total input energy constraint, since the energy is stored in the transmitter's batteries. This work is primarily rephrasing the work in channel capacity in terms ofC_{J}bit/J as compared toCbit/s, to emphasize the energy efficiency and to deemphasize the speed of the telemetry. The energy channel capacityC_{J}, for any waveform channel with well-defined capacityCbit/s at signal powerSwatts, is defined asC/Sbit/J. It is shown that for coherent binary frequency shift keying (BFSK) and waveform channels, the supremum ofC_{J}overSis approached asSapproaches zero. For the Gaussian channel the best coding uses narrow bands with the highest S/N.  相似文献

In the disturbance of unsteady flow field under the sea, the monitoring accuracy and precision of the bottom-mounted acoustic monitoring platform will decrease. In order to reduce the hydrodynamic interference, the platform wrapped with fairing structure and separated from the retrieval unit is described. The suppression effect evaluation based on the correlation theory of sound pressure and particle velocity for spherical wave in infinite homogeneous medium is proposed and the difference value between them is used to evaluate the hydrodynamic restraining performance of the bottom-mounted platform under far field condition. Through the sea test, it is indicated that the platform with sparse layers fairing structure (there are two layers for the fairing, in which the inside layer is 6-layers sparse metal net, and the outside layer is 1-layer polyester cloth, and then it takes sparse layers for short) has no attenuation in the sound pressure response to the sound source signal, but obvious suppression in the velocity response to the hydrodynamic noise. The effective frequency of the fairing structure is decreased below 10 Hz, and the noise magnitude is reduced by 10 dB. With the comparison of different fairing structures, it is concluded that the tighter fairing structure can enhance the performance of sound transmission and flow restraining.  相似文献

通过分析影响磁力梯度仪的4大误差因素,认为地质信号主要分布在低频率段里,时变信号主要出现在中间频率段里,系统噪音主要出现在高频率段里,据此推断算法相应的定性行为。用正交相关函数法,计算了主从传感器之间的LAG值的范围。利用TVSA剖面积分法用于重建总场的研究,并把研究方法直接应用到了海上磁力梯度测线的重建总场中,恢复的结果显示方法是可行的。  相似文献

基于常规三维变分同化(3DVAR)思想和反问题中的正则化技术,提出了适用于风场融合的带正则化约束项的3DVAR方法,在南海海域开展数据融合试验,同时采用模型函数方法确定合理的正则化参数,针对一次台风个例进行了QuikSCAT散射计海面风场数据和华南中尺度模式海面风场数据的融合试验,结果表明采用带正则化约束的3DVAR融合方法,明显消除了常规3DVAR方法融合风场时带来的虚假信息,融合后分析风场以及涡度场和散度场分布均匀,结构清晰,气旋中心显著,且分析场中观测起主导作用;采用信号自由度(DFS)方法对融合方法进行定量评估,发现相对常规3DVAR方法,带正则化约束的3DVAR融合系统中观测数据提供的DFS较多,同时提高了观测场对分析场的影响;基于独立观测资料对融合结果进行检验发现相对华南中尺度模式和常规3DVAR方法的统计结果,带正则化约束的3DVAR方法得到的风场具有最小的均方根误差和最大的相关系数。  相似文献

Conventional bearing estimation procedures employ planewave steering vectors as replicas of the true field and seek to resolve in angle by maximizing a power function representing the agreement between actual and replica fields. For vertical arrays in oceanic waveguides the received field depends on range and depth, and it is natural to replace the "look-direction" (theta) by a "look-position" (r, z). Thus an environmental model is constructed by specifying ocean depth, sound speed profile, bottom properties, etc., and a propagation model is employed to construct a replica of the field that would be received on the array for a particular source position. The usual estimators (e.g., Bartlett or maximum likelihood) are then used to gauge the agreement between actual and replica fields and the true source position is identified as that position where the agreement is best. The performance of this kind of matched-field processing is strongly affected by the environment. In particular, we demonstrate through simulations that for a deep-water Pacific environment dominated by waterborne paths, ambiguities or sidelobes are associated with convergence zones. In the absence of mismatch between replica and actual fields we find that a 16-element array performs extremely well in low-frequency regimes. Mismatch caused by uncertainties in phone positions, bottom parameters, ocean sound speed, surface and bottom roughness, etc., causes degradation in localization performance. The impact of some of these effects on conventional and maximum likelihood estimators is examined through simulation.  相似文献

A low-angle tracking technique based on a novel high-resolution algorithm is presented. The new high-resolution algorithm, which is called the forward-backward nonlinear prediction (FBNLP) method, replaces the linear predictor in the conventional forward-backward linear prediction (FBLP) method with a nonlinear one to try to improve the tracking in a realistic naval environment, Real radar tracking data over the sea, which were recorded with a 32-element sampled aperture antenna on an “over-water” path, were used in this study. They were recorded in a multipath environment, i.e., one where, in addition to the customary direct signal, an indirect signal was also received by the antenna system, and separation of these two signals was less than one standard beamwidth. The performance of the FBNLP method is shown to be better than that of the modified FBLP algorithm for the data sets used in this paper  相似文献

本文基于南海11 a逐日高分辨率再分析海流数据,利用三种涡旋识别方法——缠绕角(Winding Angle,WA)法、速度矢量几何(Vector Geometry,VG)法和OW (Okubo Weiss)参数法对南海中尺度涡进行识别和追踪,对比了三种方法对中尺度涡的探测能力,并分析了在高分辨率再分析产品中的适用性。研究表明,产品空间分辨率的提高能够放大OW方法的W参数噪声,使该方法存在涡旋过量检测和涡旋分割现象,导致识别的涡旋数量偏多、半径偏小,涡旋平均成功探测率最低(76.2%);与OW方法相比,WA方法在一定程度上降低了涡旋过量探测率和漏判率,涡旋平均成功探测率提高至85.1%,但涡旋识别时间较长;与前两种方法相比,VG方法的涡旋平均成功探测率可达93.2%,综合评估参数(过量探测率×漏判率÷成功探测率)优势显著(4.5%),且计算高效。因此,在基于高分辨率再分析产品进行中尺度涡识别时,VG方法具有更加合理的涡旋探测结果和更强的适用性。  相似文献

In order to improve the resolution of seismic images, a blind deconvolution of seismic traces is necessary, since the source wavelet is not known and cannot be considered as a stationary signal. The reflectivity sequence is modeled as a Gaussian mixture, depending on three parameters (high and low reflector variances and reflector density), on the wavelet impulse response, and on the observation noise variance. These parameters are unknown and must be estimated from the recorded trace, which is the reflectivity convolved with the wavelet, plus noise. Two methods are compared in this paper for the parameter estimation. Since we are considering an incomplete data problem, we first consider maximum likelihood estimation by means of a stochastic expectation maximization (SEM) method. Alternatively, proper prior distributions can be specified for all unknown quantities. Then, a Bayesian strategy is applied, based on a Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) method. Having estimated the parameters, one can proceed to the deconvolution. A maximum posterior mode (MPM) criterion is optimized by means of an MCMC method. The deconvolution capability of these procedures is checked first on synthetic signals and then on the seismic data of the IFREMER ESSR4 campaign, where the wavelet duration blurs the reflectivity, and on the SMAVH high-resolution marine seismic data.  相似文献

Based on the general concept of the inverse acoustic radiation problem, the temporal scanning of a stationary acoustic field along a closed contour is used to simplify the measurement approach for obtaining information on source directionality. The mathematical formulation is derived from a model of the two-dimensional acoustic field. The formulation of the inverse problem is also investigated to establish a methodology for improving the angular resolution of the array processing. The fundamental relationship between the sound sources and the circular passive synthetic array is explored, utilizing existing mathematical methods, in order to develop the processing algorithm. Other subjects of practical interest, such as directional ambiguity, effect of Doppler frequency, interference noise, and processing gain are discussed. It is concluded that the results can be used to establish guidelines for engineering design and deployment of this type of synthetic array, and to further exploit the new array signal processing technique  相似文献

Rationale for the measurement of open-ocean tsunami signatures are presented, and available pertinent data are reviewed. Models for tsunami signature and background noise are proposed in order to synthesize an optimum tsunami receiver. Using these models, the minimum tsunami amplitude (in cm) to yield the probability of correct tsunami detectionP_{D} = 0.999and probability of false alarmP_{F} = 10^{-3}is found to be0.718/sqrt{f_{0}}, wheref_{0}is the tsunami dominant frequency (in cycles/h). A realizable receiver is proposed and its performance is evaluated using actual tsunami signatures. It is demonstrated that the detection of a tsunami with an average amplitude as small as 0.7 cm is possible for theP_{D}andP_{F}as above. Simulation results using synthesized background noise are shown. Tidal effects on the receiver performance also are considered and are found negligible for a certain range of the receiver parameters, resulting in a considerable reduction of the signal processing required.  相似文献

随着地震勘探精度的要求和发展,对地震仪器和检波器的要求也不断提高,只有接收到来自地下的有效反射信号,尤其是深层的高频弱反射信号,才能通过室内处理达到提高勘探精度的目的。数字检波器具有直接输出数字、高保真矢量场、感应器倾斜校正等特点,其动态范围与目前最先进的地震仪器相匹配,对来自地下的地震波没有改造,真实地记录了地震波的特性。针对数字检波器的特性进行了系统试验,通过试验效果分析认为:在信噪比方面,单个数字检波器与单个普通检波器无明显的差别,但单个数字检波器的信噪比明显低于多个普通检波器组合的信噪比;在能量方面,单个数字检波器的能量相当于多个普通检波器组合的能量;在频率方面,教字检波器比普通检波器的频带宽,可以预测,数字检波器将广泛地应用于高分辨率地震勘探中。  相似文献
