Regions of possible motions are established for dynamical systems possessing time-independent Hamiltonians or for systems which are reducible to that form by means of integrals of the motion using only extended point transformations. The method is applied to the problem of three bodies in a plane and surfaces of zero velocity are found. The governing parameters are the energy, angular momentum and the masses of the participating bodies. The analytical and geometrical properties of these surfaces provide qualitative results for given constants of the motion.  相似文献

The radio luminosities of pulsars are given as functions of their period and the time variation of the period. The parameters of that dependence are calculated and independent distances are determined for pulsars. The average electron densities toward the pulsars are determined from the known dispersion measures. The results obtained are used to study the large-scale electron density distribution in the Galaxy. The distribution maximum lies in the vicinity of the Sagittarius spiral arm. The electron density falls off exponentially in the regions between spiral arms. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

CCD spectra taken with the PFES echelle spectrograph of the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences are used to perform a detailed study of the variability of the profiles of Hell, Hβ, and Hα lines in the spectrum of HD 93521. The pattern and nature of the variability of the Hell lines are similar to those of weak HeI lines and are due to nonradial pulsations. The period and amplitude of the radial-velocity variations are the same for the blue and red halves of the absorption profile but their phases are opposite. The behavior of the variations of Hβ and Hα hydrogen lines relative to their mean profiles is the same as that of strong HeI line and is due to nonradial pulsations. The period and phase of the radial-velocity oscillations are the same for the blue and red halves of the absorption profile but their amplitude are different. The behavior of the radial-velocity variations of the absorption and emission components of the Hα line indicates that the latter also are caused by nonradial pulsations. All this is indicative of the complex structure of the stellar wind in the region of its origin. The behavior of variability and wind kinematics differ in different directions and for different regions of the atmosphere and/or envelope.  相似文献

The locations and linear stability of the main libration points in Robe's restricted three-body problem under perturbed Coriolis and centrifugal forces are investigated. The perturbed locations of these points are given. The perturbation magnitude of their locations and linear stability are estimated. A review of TV and telescopic methods of meteor observations and of the problems of meteor astronomy addressed using these methods is presented. A meteor patrol developed at the Astronomical Observatory of Odessa National University and based on a Schmidt telescope and a TV detector is described. The meteor patrol allows meteor events to be recorded with a time resolution of 0.04 s. The investigated characteristics of the patrol are reported, and some aspects of the methods of observations and reduction employed are considered. The results of observations made during the period 2003–2004 are reported. A total of 368 meteors were recorded on 1093 individual frames during a total patrol time of 679 hours within a 36′ × 48′ field of view. The statistical data for meteor observations are reported, and classification of meteor images is presented. The specific features of some recorded meteor events are analyzed.  相似文献

High resolution Voyager II images of Enceladus reveal that some regions on its surface are highly cratered; the most heavily cratered surfaces probably date back to a period of heavy bombardment. The forms of many of the craters on Enceladus are similar to those of fresh lunar craters, but many of the craters are much shallower in depth, and the floors of some craters are bowed up. The flattering of craters and bowing up of the floors are indicative of viscous relaxation of the topography. Analysis of the forms of the flattened craters suggests that the viscosity at the top of the lithosphere, in the most heavily cratered regions, is between 1024 and 1025 P. The exact time scale for the collapse of the craters is not known, but probably was between 100 my and 4 gy. The flattened craters are located in distinct zones that are adjacent to zones, of similar age, where craters have not flattened. The zones where flattened craters occur possibly are regions in which the heat flow was (or is) higher than that in the adjacent terrains. Because the temperature at the top of the lithosphere of Enceladus would be less than or equal to that of Ganymede and Callisto, if it is covered by a thick regolith, and because the required viscosity on Enceladus is one to two orders of magnitude less than that for Ganymede and Callisto, it can be concluded that the lithospheric material on Enceladus is different from that of Ganymede and Callisto. Enceladus probably has a mixture of ammonia ice and water ice in the lithosphere, whereas the lithospheres of Ganymede and Callisto are composed primarily of water ice.  相似文献

The distant effects of the field-aligned currents (FAC) observed by TRIAD are computed for conditions of low and moderate activity. The systems of total ionospheric currents (both Hall and Pedersen) generated by corresponding FAC are also examined and the contribution of the distant effects and the ionospheric currents into the total equivalent current system is estimated. The conclusions are as follows. In cases of low magnetic activity the magnetic effects produced by Pedersen currents are mainly cancelled by the FAC distant effect in accord with Fukushima's theorem. In cases of moderate activity when the zone of high ionospheric conductivity and the two-sheet FAC structure are present the FAC distant effect is too small to cancel the effect of Pedersen currents. For these conditions the system of total ionospheric currents shows the best correspondence with the experimental equivalent current system. Effects produced by the IMF azimuthal component are also analysed.  相似文献

For dealing with the problem of too few photons in the return wave in lunar laser ranging, the effect of the atmospheric turbulence is studied. The principles of the two tracking algorithms, cross correlation and absolute difference are studied and programs are written, which are tested with solar data. Collected image data of the interested area on the lunar disc are given. The integrated tilt signals of the atmospheric wave front obtained are treated by different methods under different conditions and the algorithms are compared as to their effectiveness.  相似文献

Exact formulas are derived for calculating the correction for phase to the central meridian longitude and the latitude of the center of the illuminated part of the visible disk of a spherical planet in projection onto the plane of the sky. The range of possible values of the phase correction to the central meridian longitude is determined. The proposed formulas are valid for any planet's orientation with respect to the Earth and Sun and allow a transition, in planetocentric coordinates, from the center of the geometric disk of a spherical planet to the center of the illuminated part of the planet's visible disk. The reduction formulas are derived for direct and inverse transitions between the two aforementioned points of the planetary disk in geocentric equatorial coordinates. The examples of special cases of illumination of visible disks of planets in specific ephemeris are given.  相似文献

The restricted 2+2 body problem is considered. The infinitesimal masses are replaced by triaxial rigid bodies and the equations of motion are derived in Lagrange form. Subsequently, the equilibrium solutions for the rotational and translational motion of the bodies are detected. These solutions are conveniently classified in groups according to the several combinations which are possible between the translational equilibria and the constant orientations of the bodies.  相似文献

The restricted problem of three bodies is generalized to the restricted problem of 2+n bodies. Instead of one body of small mass and two primaries, the system is modified so that there are several gravitationally interacting bodies with small masses. Their motions are influenced by the primaries but they do not influence the motions of the primaries. Several variations of the classical problem are discussed. The separate Jacobian integrals of the minor bodies are lost but a conservative (time-independent) Hamiltonian of the system is obtained. For the case of two minor bodies, the five Lagrangian points of the classical problem are generalized and fourteen equilibrium solutions are established. The four linearly stable equilibrium solutions which are the generalizations of the triangular Lagrangian points are once again stable but only for considerably smaller values of the mass parameter of the primaries than in the classical problem.  相似文献

The principles of the numerical modeling of marine impacts of large cosmic bodies are described. Three underwater impact structures, MjØlnir, Lockne, and Eltanin, are considered with the aim of studying the characteristics of the crater formation at varying sea depths; the distinctions between the underwater and continental craters are discussed. The mechanisms for tsunami-wave generation are studied at different ratios of sea depth to impactor size. The calculation results are compared to the experimental data obtained during underwater nuclear explosions.  相似文献

The stability of the hot plasma located at the curvilinear geomagnetic field in relation to the generation of Alfvén oscillations is investigated. A general expression for the increment is obtained. The increments for the short wavelength disturbances and special energy distribution function in a parabolic magnetic field are presented. The obtained theoretical results are used in interpreting the oscillations of the “auroral radiation” type. The polarization relations in Alfvén waves are investigated.  相似文献

A review is presented of the author's results on application of regularizing and stabilizing KS- transformation in the problem of investigation of the motion of unusual minor planets and comets. Two models of the motion of a minor body are considered, viz. the perturbed two body problem and the perturbed restricted three body problem. The variational equations in KS-variables and transformations for obtaining the matrix of partial derivatives of the instantaneous physical parameters of motion with respect to their initial values are presented. The peculiarities of the implementation of the algorithms developed as programs on a computer are described. The original results of the investigation of the efficiency of the developed algorithms and programs are discussed using as an example the motion of unusual minor planets Icarus and Geographos as well as comets Halley, Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova and Gehrels 3.  相似文献

Free-space equilibrium temperatures for porous interstellar grains are computed for different dust sizes and are compared to those expected for homogeneous normal grains for two material candidates: graphite and a lunar silicate. Relevant differences are found with the former, but are essentially negligible with the latter. The results are discussed in terms of the different optical properties produced by the porosity of the grains. The possible astrophysical implications of these findings are also mentioned.  相似文献
