大兴安岭地处季风气候的尾闾区,是一个研究全球变化的关键区域。但由于该地区古气候代用指标(树轮、孢粉、石笋等)获取比较困难,历史文献也缺乏,使得古气候研究受到了限制。本研究通过大兴安岭北部的漠河县满归镇附近一个厚88 cm的泥炭剖面的孢粉记录,根据831个表土样品的花粉数据和附近90个气象台站30年的地面观测数据,运用现代类比法(Modern Analogue Technique,简称MAT)重建了该地区过去2100年的年均温(Tann)、年降水量(Pann)、1月均温(Tjan)和7月均温(Tjuly),结果表明Tann和Tjan的波动达到2.4℃,Tjuly的波动为1.7℃,Pann波动为28.2 mm。该地区的气候变化分为3个阶段:阶段Ⅰ(150 BC~850 A.D.)温度和降水量相对较低,年均温比现代30年均值低约0.5℃;阶段Ⅱ(850~1300 A.D.)以温度升高-降低的波动为特征,升温在1070~1170 A.D.期间最明显,年均温比现代30年平均值高0.2℃,这一时期相当于欧洲中世纪气候异常期(the Medieval Climate Anomaly,简称MCA);阶段Ⅲ(1300~2000 A.D.)早期(1300~1900 A.D.)以气温较低为特征,这一时期相当于小冰期(the Little Ice Age,简称LIA),年均温比现代30年平均值低0.8℃,晚期(1900~2000 A.D.)呈现升温的趋势。

气候变化尤其干湿变化对人类活动具有重要影响,高分辨率地重建过去的干湿变化是研究区域干湿变化的基础,同时也为未来气候变化提供依据。目前针对华北地区小冰期高分辨率的气候变化研究还较少,特别是干湿变化研究更少。本研究在3个AMS-14C测年的基础上,通过99个样品的孢粉、炭屑、粒度等指标高分辨率地重建了该地区小冰期以来的气候干湿变化特征及与人类活动强度的关系。结果表明:小冰期之前(约1340 A.D.)乔木花粉含量多在25%以上,指示流域植被以森林草地景观为主,沉积物颗粒较粗,沉积环境不稳定,气候较为湿润。小冰期期间(1340~1920 A.D.)乔木花粉多降低至15%以下,喜干的藜科、荨麻属和葎草属花粉含量明显增加,指示气候整体变干,但不同阶段变干程度又存在明显差异:小冰期早期(1340~1580 A.D.)孢粉组合中喜干的藜科花粉含量逐渐增加,湿生植物花粉含量减少,PCA axis 1得分值多在0~1之间,显示气候偏干。该时期与人类活动有关的炭屑浓度、农作物(禾本科≥35 μm)花粉和磷(P)含量均最低,说明小冰期早期研究区人类活动强度相对较弱;小冰期中期(1580~1800 A.D.)喜干的藜科、荨麻属和葎草属花粉含量达到最高值,PCA axis 1得分值较小冰期早期更正偏,指示气候更为干旱。炭屑浓度、伴人植物、磷(P)含量和农作物(禾本科≥35 μm)花粉均达最高值,指示人类活动强度明显增强;小冰期晚期(1800~1920 A.D.)湿生的禾本科和水生植物狐尾藻属等花粉含量达到最高值,PCA axis 1得分值负偏,指示气候变湿润。该阶段农作物(禾本科≥35 μm)花粉、炭屑浓度和磷(P)含量较上一时期均略有降低,表明人类活动强度较小冰期中期略有降低。小冰期以后(1920年至今)喜湿的禾本科和水生植物狐尾藻属花粉含量减少,与小冰期晚期相比,气候向着干旱化方向发展

Late glacial and early Holocene summer temperatures were reconstructed based on fossil chironomid assemblages at Lake Brazi (Retezat Mountains) with a joint Norwegian–Swiss transfer function, providing an important addition to the late glacial quantitative climate reconstructions from Europe. The pattern of the late glacial temperature changes in Lake Brazi show both similarities and some differences from the NGRIP δ18O record and other European chironomid-based reconstructions. Our reconstruction indicates that at Lake Brazi (1740 m a.s.l.) summer air temperature increased by ~ 2.8°C at the Oldest Dryas/Bølling transition (GS-2/GI-1) and reached 8.1–8.7°C during the late glacial interstade. The onset of the Younger Dryas (GS-1) was characterized by a weak (< 1°C) decrease in chironomid-inferred temperatures. Similarly, at the GS-1/Holocene transition no major changes in summer temperature were recorded. In the early Holocene, summer temperature increased in two steps and reached ~ 12.0–13.3°C during the Preboreal. Two short-term cold events were detected during the early Holocene between 11,480–11,390 and 10,350–10,190 cal yr BP. The first cooling coincides with the Preboreal oscillation and shows a weak (0.7°C) temperature decrease, while the second is characterized by 1°C cooling. Both cold events coincide with cooling events in the Greenland ice core records and other European temperature reconstructions.  相似文献

The level of Kluane Lake, the largest lake in Yukon Territory, was lower than at present during most of the Holocene. The lake rose rapidly in the late seventeenth century to a level 12 m above present, drowning forest and stranding driftwood on a conspicuous high-stand beach, remnants of which are preserved at the south end of the lake. Kluane Lake fell back to near its present level by the end of the eighteenth century and has fluctuated within a range of about 3 m over the last 50 yr. The primary control on historic fluctuations in lake level is the discharge of Slims River, the largest source of water to the lake. We use tree ring and radiocarbon ages, stratigraphy and sub-bottom acoustic data to evaluate two explanations for the dramatic changes in the level of Kluane Lake. Our data support the hypothesis of Hugh Bostock, who suggested in 1969 that the maximum Little Ice Age advance of Kaskawulsh Glacier deposited large amounts of sediment in the Slims River valley and established the present course of Slims River into Kluane Lake. Bostock argued that these events caused the lake to rise and eventually overflow to the north. The overflowing waters incised the Duke River fan at the north end of Kluane Lake and lowered the lake to its present level. This study highlights the potentially dramatic impacts of climate change on regional hydrology during the Little Ice Age in glacierised mountains.  相似文献

A quantitative high-resolution autumn (September-November) temperature reconstruction for the southeastern Swiss Alps back to AD 1580 is presented here. We used the annually resolved biogenic silica (diatoms) flux derived from the accurately dated and annually sampled sediments of Lake Silvaplana (46°27′N, 9°48′E, 1800 m a.s.l.). The biogenic silica flux smoothed by means of a 9-yr running mean was calibrated (= 0.70, p < 0.01) against local instrumental temperature data (AD 1864-1949). The resulting reconstruction (± 2 standard errors = ± 0.7 °C) indicates that autumns during the late Little Ice Age were generally cooler than they were during the 20th century. During the cold anomaly around AD 1600 and during the Maunder Minimum, however, the reconstructed autumn temperatures did not experience strong negative departures from the 20th-century mean. The warmest autumns prior to 1900 occurred around AD 1770 and 1820 (0.75 °C above the 20th-century mean). Our data agree closely with two other autumn temperature reconstructions for the Alps and for Europe that are based on documentary evidence and are completely unrelated to our data, revealing a very consistent picture over the centuries.  相似文献

根据航空摄影相片、地形图、遥感影像数据,分析了祁连山西段自小冰期至1990年的冰川变化,得出该地区在小冰期至1956年间冰川面积减小幅度为16.9%,冰川储量减少了14.1%;1956-1990年间冰川仍以退缩为主,此时段冰川面积和储量减小量占1956年时相应量的10.3%和9.3%.分析认为冰川退缩主要与1956-1966年时段气温偏高、降水偏少有关,而且该流域区对应于1956-1966年间强负物质平衡的冰川退缩可能出现于1960年代中期至1970年代中期.  相似文献

对唐古拉山东段布加岗日地区小冰期以来的冰川变化资料进行了分析,结果表明,该地区小冰期最盛时(即15世纪)冰川总面积和总储量分别为241.46km2和19.6282km3,目前其面积和储量分别已减少了23.7%和15.1%,并且自小冰期以来有184条长度大约为0.6km的小冰川已消失.该地区各冰川面积和储量的绝对变化量随着冰川规模的增大而增大,而其相对变化百分数却是随着冰川规模的增大而减小.不同方位冰川小冰期以来的平均面积萎缩量、平均末端退缩量和平均末端高程上升量均表明,南坡冰川变化的绝对量比北坡的大.这说明在同一气候变化背景下,该地区南坡冰川对于气候变化的响应比北坡冰川敏感.小冰期以来该地区冰川雪线上升了约90m,这大致相当于气温上升约0.6℃.  相似文献

岱海近500年沉积物的孢粉,介形类和地球化学记录表现了流域生物,化学风化对全球性小冰期气候波动明显而快速的响应,孢粉量的下降,化学风化强度的减弱(高Rb/Sr比值)以及意外湖花介(Limnocythere inopinata)的繁盛反映了小冰期最盛期岱海地区以干旱为特征的气候环境及其造成的高矿化度湖水,其中,介形类丰度及种类对环境变化的反应最迅速,植被生长的调节则要缓慢一些,内陆湖泊流域植被的衰弱与干旱环境下化学风化强度的减弱以及风尘作用的加强是相辅相成的。  相似文献

用中国的历史文献来研究较早历史时期的火山喷发的气候效应,尤其是喷发持续时间长、过程复杂的冰岛式火山喷发的气候效应,是一项探索性的工作。本文主要探讨了-934 AD冰岛Eldgjá火山喷发在中国的气候效应,发现在Eldgjá火山喷发后,中国的气候变冷突出表现在93-~942 AD,初步估计,939/940 AD冬季洛阳开封一带相对于933-938 AD的降温幅度可达5℃-8℃。在北半球范围,Eldgjá火山喷发后的气候变冷集中在935-937 AD(峰值在935 AD)和939-942 AD(峰值在939-940 AD)两个时期。推测Eldgjá火山在长达3-8年的喷发过程中,可能于934-935 AD和938-939 AD前后各出现一个喷发的高潮。  相似文献

Geochemical methods (major elements and Sr, Nd isotopes) have been used to (1) characterize Lake Le Bourget sediments in the French Alps, (2) identify the current sources of the clastic sediments and estimate the source variability over the last 600 years. Major element results indicate that Lake Le Bourget sediments consist of 45% clastic component and 55% endogenic calcite. In addition, several individual flood levels have been identified during the Little Ice Age (LIA) on the basis of their higher clastic content (> 70%).Potential sources of Lake Le Bourget clastic sediments have been investigated from Sr and Nd isotope compositions. The sediments from the Sierroz River and Leysse River which are mainly derived from the Mesozoic Calcareous Massifs are characterised by lower 87Sr/86Sr ratios and slightly lower ?Nd(0) ratios than the Arve River sediments which are derived from the Palaeozoic Mont-Blanc External Crystalline Massifs. The Rhône River appears to have been the main source of clastic sediments into the lake for the last 600 years, as evidenced by a similar Sr and Nd isotopic compositions analyzed in core B16 sediments (87Sr/86Sr = 0.719, ?Nd(0) = − 10) and in the sediments of the Rhône River (87Sr/86Sr = 0.719, ?Nd(0) = − 9.6).The isotopic signatures of flood events and background samples from core B16 in Lake Le Bourget are also similar. This indicates that prior to ∼ 1800, the inputs into the lake have remained relatively homogeneous with the proportion of clastic component mainly being a function of the palaeohydrology of the Rhone River. Early human modification (deforestation and agriculture) of the lake catchment before the 1800s appears to have had little influence on the source of clastic sediments.  相似文献

In regions with seasonal temperate climatic regimes, tree growth is rarely controlled by any single environmental factor. As a consequence, the development of robust palaeoclimate reconstructions has proved challenging. Tree‐ring stable carbon isotope ratios (δ13C), however, are controlled primarily by photosynthetic rate, not by net growth. Therefore, at sites where climatic controls on tree‐ring growth are not strongly expressed, a robust (isotopic) palaeoclimate signal may still potentially be preserved. This hypothesis was tested using a 160‐year record of δ13C measured from the pooled latewood cellulose of six Quercus petraea L. (sessile oak) trees from Allt Lan‐las in West Wales, UK. Raw δ13C values were corrected for changes in the isotopic ratio of atmospheric carbon dioxide and for changes in the behaviour of trees due to the increasing availability of atmospheric CO2 since AD 1850. Strong correlations with local summer temperature and sunshine are reported, and also with the Central England Temperature record over the full length of the isotopic chronology (AD 1850–2010) (r = 0.69, P < 0.001). We conclude that tree‐ring stable isotopes can be used to extract strong palaeoclimate signals even from oak trees growing in a temperate maritime climate. This demonstrates the potential for extracting robust palaeoclimatic information from the very long and well‐replicated oak chronologies which have been developed in western and central Europe primarily for dating rather than palaeoclimatic research purposes. Climate change during the so-called Little Ice Age (LIA) of the 15th to 19th centuries was once thought to be limited to the high northern latitudes, but increasing evidence reflects significant climate change in the tropics. One of the hypothesized features of LIA climate in the low latitudes is a more southerly mean annual position of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), which produced more arid conditions through much of the northern tropics. High-resolution stable oxygen isotope data and other sedimentary evidence from Laguna de Felipe, located on the Caribbean slope of the Cordillera Central of the Dominican Republic, support the hypothesis that the mean annual position of the ITCZ was displaced significantly southward during much of the LIA. Placed within the context of regional paleoclimate and paleoceanographic records, and reconstructions of global LIA climate, this shift in mean annual ITCZ position appears to have been induced by lower solar insolation and internal dynamical responses of the global climate system. Our results from Hispaniola further emphasize the global nature of LIA climate change and the sensitivity of circum-Caribbean climate conditions to what are hypothesized to be relatively small variations in global energy budgets.  相似文献

A sediment core representing the past two millennia was recovered from Stella Lake in the Snake Range of the central Great Basin in Nevada. The core was analyzed for sub-fossil chironomids and sediment organic content. A quantitative reconstruction of mean July air temperature (MJAT) was developed using a regional training set and a chironomid-based WA-PLS inference model (r2jack = 0.55, RMSEP = 0.9°C). The chironomid-based MJAT reconstruction suggests that the interval between AD 900 and AD 1300, corresponding to the Medieval Climate Anomaly (MCA), was characterized by MJAT elevated 1.0°C above the subsequent Little Ice Age (LIA), but likely not as warm as recent conditions. Comparison of the Stella Lake temperature reconstruction to previously published paleoclimate records from this region indicates that the temperature fluctuations inferred to have occurred at Stella Lake between AD 900 and AD 1300 correspond to regional records documenting hydroclimate variability during the MCA interval. The Stella Lake record provides evidence that elevated summer temperature contributed to the increased aridity that characterized the western United States during the MCA.  相似文献

基于云南西南部司岗里洞一支长约168 mm石笋(编号SGL1)的7个230Th年龄和325个δ18O数据,建立了1322~1605 A.D.和1700~1927 A.D.时段平均分辨率达2 a的夏季风降水演化序列。该序列显示存在百年尺度的δ18O偏正阶段,即1322~1605 A.D.和1700~1927 A.D.时段,指示当时夏季风降水持续减少,这与印度季风区石笋所记录的结果一致,但区别于东亚季风区石笋记录的小冰期后期(1700~1900 A.D.)季风逐渐增强的特征,表明小冰期后半段亚洲季风区石笋记录的区域干湿变化空间差异显著。显著的多年代际振荡是SGL1石笋序列最为突出的特征,在石笋生长稳定的1322~1540 A.D.时段,高分辨率氧同位素序列记录到9个持续时间约10~20 a、平均振幅达1.4 ‰的干旱事件,这些年代际尺度干旱事件在东南半岛及南亚地区的高分辨率记录中均有不同程度的体现。SGL1石笋氧同位素序列与太阳总辐照度记录呈显著的正相关关系,说明太阳活动可能是小冰期季风气候百年尺度变化的主要驱动因子,但二者呈负耦合关系,即太阳辐射增强(减弱),对应区域季风降水减少(增多)。小冰期早期(1322~1540 A.D.),SGL1石笋记录的年代际干旱事件与太平洋年代际振荡(PDO)暖相位和大西洋多年代际振荡(AMO)冷相位相对应,其显著的15 a、24 a和56 a周期也类似于PDO的主导周期,说明该区多年代际气候变化主要受PDO调控;功率谱分析结果还显示SGL1序列具有显著的2.6~3.2 a和6 a周期,暗示该时期区域年际尺度气候变化可能受ENSO和(或)印度洋偶极子(IOD)的影响。

内蒙古岱海地区小冰期气候演化特征的地球化学记录   总被引:16,自引:4,他引:16  
通过对地处气候敏感带的岱海湖泊岩芯介形类壳体丰度、Sr/Ca和Mg/Ca摩尔比值,以及自生碳酸盐氧同位素组成等地球化学指标的综合分析,结合岩芯的岩性特征和^210Pb、^14C测年,重建了岱海小冰期以来气候环境演化过程,揭示小冰期前期本区以冷湿气候为主,在中后期,气候寒冷干旱,间有气候转温和的冷湿、湿干气候。本区小冰期气温变化与华北其他地区具有一致性,但降水与气温组合状况复杂,反映了明显的区域特征,其原因可能是气候转型期经向环流加强,气旋活动加强所致。  相似文献

在南海西沙群岛(15.76°~17.13°N,111.18°~112.90°E)5条年分辨率的滨珊瑚生长率(即每年生长宽度,mm/a或cm/a)序列和4个U-Th年龄的基础上,根据珊瑚生长率与器测海温的显著正相关关系特征并建立的转换方程,定量重建了近500年(1520~2007 A.D.)连续的年分辨率的西沙海温历史。这一时期的海温变化可以分为两个主要阶段:1)1520~1825 A.D.以小幅波动为主,略有下降(-0.21±0.07 ℃)。2)1826~2007 A.D.整体呈上升趋势(0.93±0.15 ℃),其中1826~1899 A.D.快速上升(1.0±0.13 ℃);1900~1971 A.D.小幅波动,略有下降(-0.16±0.19 ℃);1972~2007 A.D.再次上升(0.55±0.30 ℃)。同时,近500年来西沙海温具有显著的年际、十年际和多年代际周期,分别对应于ENSO、太阳活动和太平洋多年代际涛动(PDO)。珊瑚生长率记录的西沙海域持续升温始于1820年代后期,与西太平洋暖池区的升温起始时间相当,但略早于全球其他区域,体现了南海海域对赤道海域海洋环境变化的敏感响应。
