Tofteholmens geologi

På de eldre av Keilhau og Kjerulf utgitte karter var Tofteholmen, så vel som de nærliggende øer og skjær: Randvikholmene, Vealøs, Møkkalassene, angitt som grunnfjell. Det var jo også rimelig å anta, at de skulde bestå av grunnfjellets bergarter, da både kystranden av Hurumlandet i nord og den større ø Mølen midt i fjorden i SV består av grunnfjell, og de var derfor av eldre kartleggere uten videre antatt som grunnfjell.

Med stor interesse har jeg lest d'hrr. Isachsen og Redse's oversikt over dette emne i hefte 7, 1933, og de betraktninger som de knytter dertil. Stort sett er jeg enig med forfatterne. Allikevel må jeg få komme med nogen oplysninger om ting som forfatterne øiensynlig ikke har vært opmerksomme på, men som har en ganske stor — nogen vil nok si: meget stor — betydning for spørsmålet.
