In this study,we analyze the co-seismic response of water levels in the Jiaji well to strong earthquakes(MS≥7.8) from 2001 to 2010 at an epicentral distance less than 8000km.We investigated the co-seismic variation form of water levels,and analyzed the relationship between the amplitude of water level variation and the magnitude and the epicentral distance.We then checked the seismic wave phases when the changes of water level occurred.It was shown that:(1) the water level’s co-seismic response is mainly characterized by escalation with no oscillation;(2) the amplitude of water level change has a certain connection with epicentral distance and magnitude;(3) co-seismic response of water levels in the Jiaji well shows a certain directivity;(4) most of the co-seismic responses were caused by surface waves,and some by long-period S waves.  相似文献

Seismicity in the Jingpohu volcanic area was investigated based on the seismic data recorded by the mobile seismic network consisting of 14 stations equipped with 24-bit broad-band 3- component seismographs around Crater Forest, Results show that there appears certain seismicity in Jingpohu and its adjacent areas with a low activity level and most of the recorded earthquakes are the volcanic-tectonic ones, The results of location indicate a dominant focal depth of 10km - 30kin, most of the earthquakes are smaller than ML2,0, and are concentrated in the area of " Crater Forest" and on the Dunhua-Mishan fault which runs through the volcanic area. At station No. 2, which has better observation conditions, two types of events, likely associated to volcanism, were recorded; their waveform characteristics are somewhat similar to that of the long-period volcanic event and the volcanic tremor, but with different feature of frequencies.  相似文献

Simultaneous measurements from THEMIS spacecraft,GOES-11 and ground stations(Canadian Array for Realtime Investigations of Magnetic Activity or CARISMA,and 210°magnetic meridian or MM)on March 18,2009 allow the study of dynamic processes in the near-Earth magnetotail and corresponding Pi2 pulsations on the ground in great detail.Fast earthward flows along with traveling Alfvén waves and fast mode waves in the Pi2 band were observed by three Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms(THEMIS)probes(P3,P4 and P5)in the near-Earth plasmasheet.At the mid-to high-latitude nightside,the CARISMA stations located near the foot points of the three probes recorded Pi2s with two periods,about 80 s after the earthward fast flows observed by the P4 probe.The long-period Pi2(140–150 s)belongs to the transient response Pi2(TR Pi2),since the travel time of the Alfvén waves between the plasma sheet and CARISMA stations is very close to half the period of the long-period Pi2.The short-period Pi2(60–80 s)has the same period band as the perpendicular velocity of the fast flows,which indicates that it may relate to the inertial current caused by periodic braking of the earthward fast flows.The 210°MM stations located at the low-latitude duskside also observed Pi2s with the same start time,waveform and frequency,about~120 s after the earthward fast flows.Strong poloidal oscillations are shown by GOES-11(~23 MLT)and the compressional component(Bb)is highly correlated with H components of the 210°MM stations,whereas the other two components(Br and Be)are not.These results confirm that the low-latitude Pi2s are generated by cavity mode resonance,which is driven by an impulsive broadband source in the near-Earth magnetotail.  相似文献

In the past few years, the amount of sediment entering the Yellow River decreased significantly in areas with high and coarse sediment yield of the Loess Plateau. Some researchers considered that it was owing to the soil and water conservation project, while others believed that it was caused by the low precipitation. The observation data showed -2 that the ultimate sod erosion modulus m 1960s could reach 150,000 t km . However some experts preferred to believe that the ultimate soil erosion modulus in 1960s was wrong due to some uncertain mistakes. This paper quantitatively analyzed the spatial-temporal evolution pattern of sediment yield in areas with high and coarse sediment yield of the Loess Plateau over the past 50 years, by simulating the precipitation-runoff and soil erosion in 12 sample years with the digital watershed model. Some preliminary conclusions have been drawn as following: since the 1960s and 1970s, the rainstorm center had moved southward and the intensity of rainfall center became weaker and spread into dispersed rainfall distribution in areas with high and coarse sediment yield; the decrease of the amount of sediment entering the Yellow River was caused by the changes of rainfall type in recent years; the rainstorm of 1967 was concentrated in the re~ion nearby "Shenmu-Fugu" in Shaanxi Province, and the annual maximum transport modulus (150,000 t km-2 ) measured in Bullpen Ditch of the left bank tributary between "Shenmu" and "Fugu" in 1967 is reasonable.  相似文献

This paper investigates long-period ground motion characteristic of the 1999 Jiji (Chi-Chi), Taiwan, mainshock and aftershocks on the basis of lots of high quality digital strong motion records. The study attaches the importance to the variation of strength of the long-period ground motion with the magnitude, distance, and site condition. In the meantime, the near-fault long-period ground motion characteristic is analyzed. The result shows that the shape of the long-period response spectrum is mainly controlled by site condition and magnitude (the spectrum of class D+E is wider than that of class B+C, and the spectrum of larger magnitude is wider than that of smaller magni- tude), and the effect of fault distance on the shape is not evident. And near-fault long-period ground motion characteristic depends on fault activity apparently, that is to say, the long-term ground motion in the hanger is stronger than that in the footwall, and the long-term ground motion in the north is stronger than that in the south.  相似文献

A case study on the responses of streamflow to climate change in the Toutun River basin was carried out based on data analysis of streamflow, precipitation, and temperatures during the past 50 years.Temporal series of the streamflow change in the Toutun River basin was analyzed and tested using the Mann-Kendall nonparametric test. Results revealed that the annual runoff of the Toutun River had been in a monotonic decreasing trend for the past 50 years. Compared with the 1950s and 1960s, the annual runoff in the 1990s decreased by 4.0×105 m3 and 7.2×105 m3. The precipitation did not show monotonic trend during the past 50 years, but the annual temperature increased by 1.12℃ since the 1950s. Further data analysis indicated that the monthly runoff of the Toutun River decreased significantly from August to October, with precipitation displaying the similar pattern of seasonal change. Analysis suggests that the reduction of streamflow in the Toutun River basin is possibly caused by the seasonal change of precipitation, especially the precipitation reduction in summer, and temperature increases.  相似文献

The South China Block was formed through the collisional orogeny between the Cathaysia Block and the Yangtze Block in the Early Neoproterozoic.The northern,western and southern sides of the South China Block were affected by disappearance of the Paleo-Tethyan Ocean during the Paleozoic.The southern and northern sides of the South China Block were respectively collided with the Indo-China Block and North China Block in the latest Paleozoic to form the basic framework of the Eastern China.The Eastern China has been affected by the westward subduction of the Pacific Plate since the Mesozoic.Therefore,the South China Block was influenced by the three major tectonic systems,leading to a superposed compound tectonics.The comparative study of the Mesozoic geology between the South China Block and its surrounding areas suggests that although the Mesozoic South China Block was adjacent to the subduction zone of the western Pacific,no juvenile arc-type crust has been found in the eastern margin.The main Mesozoic geology in South China is characterized by reworking of ancient continental margins to intracontinental tectonics,lacking oceanic arc basalts and continental arc andesites.Therefore,a key to understanding of the Mesozoic geology in South China is to determine the temporal-spatial distribution and tectonic evolution of Mesozoic magmatic rocks in this region.This paper presents a review on the tectonic evolution of the South China Block through summarizing the magmatic rock records from the compressional to extensional tectonic process with the transition at the three juncture zones and using the deformation and geophysic data from the deep part of the South China continental lithosphere.Our attempt is to promote the study of South China’s geology and to make it as a typical target for development of plate tectonic theory.  相似文献

A recent acoustic instrument (Gravel Transport Sensor, GTS) was tested for predicting sediment transport rate (bed load rate) in gravel bed streams. The GTS operation is based on the particle collision theory of submerged obstacles in fluids. When particles collide with the GTS cylinder their momentum is recorded in the form of ping rates. The GTS is attractive for further consideration here because of its potential to provide continuous unattended local bed load measurements, especially in areas found in streams that access may be difficult under extreme conditions. Laboratory experiments coupled with numerical simulations for the same flow conditions were performed in order to determine the conditions under which particles of different size will hit the GTS cylinder and be able to register a ping rate. The GTS was able to detect the number of particles with diameter in the range of 15.9 to 25.4 mm, with reasonable accuracy, if the applied Shields effective stress τ*e = τ* - τ*cr was in the range of 0.006 to 0.015. A drawback of the tested prototype GTS, however, was that it exerted increased resistance on the incoming particles. The added drag effects increased the overall resistance that was exerted by the flow on particles and thus increased the likelihood that particles will rest in the ambient region of the cylinder instead of hitting it. Numerical simulation of the flow around the GTS cylinder revealed that changing the prototype geometry from cylindrical to ellipsoid or rhomboid will increase the likelihood of the particles hitting the instrument under the same flow conditions failed by the original tested GTS cylinder.  相似文献

This paper presents a comparative analysis of ground vibration in three directions generated by a heavy-duty railway with various track sections. The vibration characteristics in the plane area were investigated by using matrix test measurements. Acceleration peak attenuation was faster within 25 m from the embankment, and the high-frequency vibration attenuates faster with increased distance. For the cutting section with multi-stage soil slope, decay rate of acceleration was relatively larger. The acceleration level of the plane region ranged to 82.2–89.1 dB by the single C80 train. Yet the acceleration level caused by the C80 trains running parallel after meeting showed a distinct increment. The increment of the cutting section was much larger compared with the embankment section, with the increment ranging from 1.2–2.5 dB. In terms of the cutting section, Y direction acceleration was dominant closer to the track. Within 10–30 m of the track, the Y direction acceleration(perpendicular to the rail) decreased rapidly and became comparable to the X direction(parallel to the rail) and Z direction. Additionally, the cutting case generated a higher level of vibration in all three directions compared to the embankment, but as the distance from track increased, the deviation between acceleration gradually decreased.  相似文献

The global climate warming accelerated in the 1980s has become a focus in the world. Based on the month by month and year by year temperature data from 160 representative stations throughout the country during 1951-1999, this paper analyses annual and four seasons' temperature variations of China since the 1980s. It was found out that the non-equalibrium response with relative great regional and seasonal differences is represented in the country's climate warming. In regional changes a trend of "warm in the north and cold in the south" occurs whereas in seasonal changes, the characters of "warm in winter and cool in summer" present. Significant verification of the temperature variations conducted in terms of mathematical statistics reveals that a confidence level of over 95% has been basically reached in areas north of the Yangtze River. Meanwhile, according to data of diurnal mean temperature steadily passing through accumulated temperature ≥10℃ from 335 stations since 1951 or since the founding of the stations in the early 1950s to 1999, comparative analysis of the data of the last 19 years with that of the first 30 years was conducted and the accumulated temperature ≥10℃ and the variation range of the persistent number of days ≥10℃ were obtained. It was concluded that a general northward shift of central subtropics, north subtropics, warm temperate zone, mesothermal zone and frigid temperate zone of eastern China was observed. The northward shift of north subtropics and warm temperate zone was obvious but changes of south subtropics and marginal tropics were insignificant. In western China, in addition to southwestern Yunnan, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and western Inner Mongolia where the temperature zones of each either shifted northward or trended to move upward, not much changes were found in other areas or they shifted southward slightly and declined.  相似文献

Estimation of specific yield (Sy) of an aquifer is of great importance in water resource management. In this study, an experimental drainage method was developed to determine specific yield of an alluvial aquifer of the Platte River valley, Nebraska, USA. Sets of sediment cores with continuous interval depth were collected to plastic tubes using the direct push technique and then taken to the laboratory. During the Sy experiment, those sediment cores were re-saturated by placing them vertically in a large water tank. Sy was determined by the water drained from the sediments by force of gravity in a bracket. Our results show that the values of Sy varied largely with depth at each site and the variability for Sy with interval depth between the test sites is also observed. This spatial heterogeneity in Sy might result from the variation of grain size, grain shape, sorting and compaction of sediments in different cores with interval depth. The Sy for all sediment cores ranged from 0.01 to 0.18 and the mean value was 0.08±0.04. Our drainage method can functionally preserve the sedimentary structures in their original state and it is easier to experiment at a lower expense.  相似文献

A statistical analysis is done to study the spatio-temporal features of earthquake activity in the Tianshan seismic belt triggered by tide,based on Schusters test. The data we choose is the M L≥2. 0 earthquakes from January 1,2010 to August 31,2012 in eastern Tianshan,and the calculation is on tidal body stress. The results show that the p-value based on the time window smoothing of Schusters test corresponds better with the strong earthquakes in the Tianshan seismic belt,especially for a long time before the November 1,2011 Nilka M S6. 0 earthquake,when the p-value of the Schusters test was always lower than the threshold of 0. 05 for tidal trigger of earthquake,but after the Nilka M S6. 0 earthquake,that value was quickly restored to a high level,which reflects a close relationship between the Nilka M S6. 0 earthquake and the Earth tide. According to the p-value based on the spatial window smoothing of Schusters test,the Nilka M S6. 0 earthquake was at or near the tidal triggering area. Thus we can see from the spatio-temporal results that the Nilka M S6. 0 earthquake was obviously triggered by Earth tide.  相似文献

Moment tensor inversion was carried out to invert the source mechanism and source time function of the MS=7.6 November 6, 1988, Lancang-Gengma, Yunnan Province, China, earthquake. Waveforms of long-period body-waves recorded by China Digital Seismograph Network (CDSN) were used in the inversion. The inverted result shows one nodal plane of right-lateralstrike-slip faulting and another of left-lateral strike-slip faulting and a simple source time function of a duration of about 15 s and scalar seismic moment of 6.4(1020 N(m. From the geological dataand tectonic settings and also from field observations and epicentral distribution of aftershocks, the nodal plane striking in the azimuth of 313( is preferred as the fault plane. The pressure axis lies almosthorizontally in north-south direction.  相似文献

The sedimentary environment change, trophic evolution and heavy metals pollution history of the northern Taihu Lake in the last 100 years are studied according to the sedimentary geo-chemical proxies of the core sediments, such as grain size, nutrients, heavy metals, diatom, etc. The nutrients in the sediments depended mainly on the lake internal circulation and the heavy metals were from natural geogenic sources before the 1920s, which were not influenced by human activities generally, and grain size was one of the key factors influencing heavy metals content in the sediments. The alternation of manner and strength of human activities in Taihu Lake catchment before and after the 1920s made the lake sediments coarser, and hence heavy metals and TP content decreased contrasted with that before the 1920s. TP content in sediments and water increased from the 1950s to late 1970s due to anthropogenic pollutants discharge, and the lake belonging to mesotrophic state. TN and TOC content and C/N ratio increased due to the increasing external pollutants into Taihu Lake by human activities, TP content also increased obviously in water and sediments, and the diatom association was dominated by eutrophic species since the late 1970s, indicating the eutrophication state of Taihu Lake in this period. Meanwhile the increasing in heavy metals content, such as Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn, and their proportion of valid fractions in the sediments indicates that they all result from human pollutants since the late 1970s. The heavy metals in the surface sediments have certain potential biological toxicity due to the higher SEM/AVS ratio.  相似文献

All reservoirs are subjected to sediment inflow and deposition up to a certain extent leading to reduction in their capacity. Thus, the important practical problem related to the life of reservoir is the estimation of sedimentation quantity in the reservoirs. Large number of methods and models are available for estimation of reservoir sedimentation process. However, each model differs greatly in terms of their complexity, inputs and other requirements. In the simplest way, the fraction of sediment deposit in the reservoir can be determined through the knowledge of its trap efficiency. Trap efficiency (Te) is the proportion of the incoming sediment that is deposited or trapped in a reservoir. Most of the Te estimation methods define a relationship of the T, of the reservoir to their capacity and annual inflow, generally through curves. In this study, the empirical relationships given by Brune and Brown were used and compared for estimating the trap efficiency of Gobindsagar Reservoir (Bhakra Dam) on Satluj River in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan region of India. A new set of regression equations has been developed for Brune's method and compared with Brown and other available Brune's equations. It has been found that Brune's equations developed in the present study estimated better than the other Brune's equations reported in literature. Later, in the present study it was found that Brown's approach was over estimating the T,. Hence it was again modified for Gobindsagar reservoir. It was also identified that sediments coming to this particular reservoir were mainly of coarse nature.  相似文献

The stochastic finite-fault simulation method was applied to synthesize the horizontal ground acceleration seismograms produced by the MW6.1 Ludian earthquake on August 3, 2014. For this purpose, we produced first a total of 200 kinematic source models for the Ludian event, which are characterized by the heterogeneous slip on the conjugated ruptured fault and the slip-dependent spreading of the rupture front. The results indicated that the heterogeneous slip and the spatial extent of the ruptured fault play dominant roles in the spatial distribution of ground motions in the near-fault area. The peak ground accelerations(PGAs) and 5%-damped pseudospectral accelerations(PSAs)at periods shorter than 0.5 s estimated on the resulting synthetics generally match well with the observations at stations with Joyner-Boore distances(RJB) greater than20 km. The synthetic PGVs and PSAs at periods of 0.5 s and0.75 s are in good agreement with predicted medians by the Yu14 model(Yu et al., 2014). However, the synthetic results are generally much lower than the predicted medians by BSSA14 model(Boore et al., 2014). Moreover, the ground motion variability caused by the randomness in the source rupture process was evaluated by these synthetics. The standard deviations of PSAs on the base-10 logarithmic scale,Sigma[log10(PSA)], are closely dependent on either the spectral period or the RJB. The Sigma[log10(PSA)] remains a constant approximately 0.55 at periods shorter than 0.1 s, and then increase continuously up to ~0.13 as the period increases from 0.1 to 2.0 s. The Sigma[log10(PSA)] values at periods of0.1-2.0 s show the downward tendency as the RJB values increase. However, the Sigma[log10(PSA)] values at periods shorter than 0.1 s decrease as the RJB values increase up to~50 km, and then increase with the increasing RJB.Furthermore, we found that the ground-motion variability shows the significant dependence on the azimuth.  相似文献

An open-path eddy covariance system was set up in Damxung rangeland station to measure the carbon flux from July to October, 2003. The canopy quantum yield (α) of alpine meadow was calculated by the linear function between the net ecosystem carbon dioxide exchange (NEE) and the photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) under low light, and how it was influenced by the temperature was also discussed. Results showed that the canopy or decreased almost linearly with temperature, with the decrease in every 1℃increase of temperature similar to those measured on leaf level of C3 plant. At the beginning, the decrease of canopyαwith temperature was 0.0005 umol CO2·μmol-1 PAR; while it increased to 0.0008μmol CO2·μmol-1 PAR in September, showing a rising trend with plant growing stages. Compared with the canopy a calculated with rectangular hyperbola function, the value in the paper was lower. However, the method advanced here has the advantages in examining the relationship betweenαand the key environmental factors, such as temperature.  相似文献

Six reinforced concrete frames with or without masonry infills were constructed and tested under horizontal cyclic loads. All six frames had identical details in which the transverse reinforcement in columns was provided by rectangular hoops that did not meet current ACI specifications for ductile frames. For comparison purposes, the columns in three of these frames were jacketed by carbon-fiber-reinforced-polymer (CFRP) sheets to avoid possible shear failure. A nonlinear pushover analysis, in which the force-deformation relationships of individual elements were developed based on ACI 318, FEMA 356, and Chen's model, was carried out for these frames and compared to test results. Both the failure mechanisms and impact of infills on the behaviors of these frames were examined in the study. Conclusions from the present analysis provide structural engineers with valuable information for evaluation and design of infilled concrete frame building structures.  相似文献

The dynamic stiffness method combined with the Fourier transform is utilized to derive the in-plane Green’s functions for inclined and uniformly distributed loads in a multi-layered transversely isotropic(TI)half-space.The loaded layer is fixed to obtain solutions restricted in it and the corresponding reactions forces,which are then applied to the total system with the opposite sign.By adding solutions restricted in the loaded layer to solutions from the reaction forces,the global solutions in the wavenumber domain are obtained,and the dynamic Green’s functions in the space domain are recovered by the inverse Fourier transform.The presented formulations can be reduced to the isotropic case developed by Wolf(1985),and are further verified by comparisons with existing solutions in a uniform isotropic as well as a layered TI halfspace subjected to horizontally distributed loads which are special cases of the more general problem addressed.The deduced Green’s functions,in conjunction with boundary element methods,will lead to significant advances in the investigation of a variety of wave scattering,wave radiation and soil-structure interaction problems in a layered TI site.Selected numerical results are given to investigate the influence of material anisotropy,frequency of excitation,inclination angle and layered on the responses of displacement and stress,and some conclusions are drawn.  相似文献
