A spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-VI0 space-time is considered in the frame work of f(R,T) gravity proposed by Harko et al. (Phys. Rev. D 84:024020, 2011) when the source for energy momentum tensor is a bulk viscous fluid containing one dimensional cosmic strings. Exact solutions of the field equations are obtained both in the absence and in the presence of cosmic strings under some specific plausible physical conditions. Some physical and kinematical properties of the model are, also, studied.  相似文献

A spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-III space-time is considered in the presence of bulk viscous fluid containing one dimensional cosmic strings in the frame work of f(R,T) gravity proposed by Harko et al. (Phys. Rev. D 84:024020, 2011). To get a determinate solution of the field equations of this theory, we have used (i) a barotropic equation of state for the pressure and density and (ii) the bulk viscous pressure is proportional to the energy density. It is interesting to observe that, in this case, Bianchi type-III bulk viscous string cosmological model does not exist and degenerates into vacuum model of general relativity.  相似文献

Spherically symmetric tetrad field is applied to the field equation of modified teleparallel gravity theory. Some constraints are assumed on the resulting non-linear partial differential equations. Exact vacuum solution is derived with two constants of integration. The derived solution has a vanishing scalar torsion, i.e., T=T μ νλ S μ νλ =0 and its space-time is axially symmetric. It is shown that this solution can be rewritten as a product of three matrices, two local Lorentz transformations and one diagonal tetrad field. The local Lorentz transformations represent “so(3)” and a boost transformation and the diagonal tetrad reproduce the same metric field of the original tetrad.  相似文献

A spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-VI0 space-time filled with perfect fluid in general relativity and also in the framework of f(R,T) gravity proposed by Harko et al. (in arXiv:1104.2669 [gr-qc], 2011) has been studied with an appropriate choice of the function f(R,T). The field equations have been solved by using the anisotropy feature of the universe in Bianchi type-VI0 space time. Some important features of the models, thus obtained, have been discussed. We noticed that the involvement of new function f(R,T) doesn’t affect the geometry of the space-time but slightly changes the matter distribution.  相似文献

Our modified gravity theory (MOG) was used successfully in the past to explain a range of astronomical and cosmological observations, including galaxy rotation curves, the cosmic microwave background acoustic peaks, and the galaxy mass power spectrum. MOG was also used successfully to explain the unusual features of the Bullet Cluster  1E0657−558  without exotic dark matter. In the present work, we derive the relativistic equations of motion in the spherically symmetric field of a point source in MOG and, in particular, we derive equations for light bending and lensing. Our results also have broader applications in the case of extended distributions of matter, and they can be used to validate the Bullet Cluster results and provide a possible explanation for the merging clusters in Abell 520.  相似文献

A locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-II space-time is considered in the frame work of a modified theory of gravitation proposed by Harko et al. (Phys. Rev. D 84:024020, 2011) when the source for energy momentum tensor is a bulk viscous fluid containing one dimensional cosmic strings. A barotropic equation of state is assumed to get a determinate solution of the field equations. Also, the bulk viscous pressure is assumed to be proportional to the energy density. The physical behavior of the model is also discussed.  相似文献

Alternative cosmologies, based on extensions of General Relativity, predict modified thermal histories in the early universe during the pre Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) era. When the expansion rate is enhanced with respect to the standard case, thermal relics typically decouple with larger relic abundances. In this paper, we study the dynamical evolution of an f(R) model of gravity in a homogeneous and anisotropic background which is given by a Bianchi type-I model of the universe filled with dark matter, which is described by a perfect fluid with a barotropic equation of state. As an example of a consistent analysis of modified gravity, we apply the formalism to a simple background solution of R+βR n gravity. Our analysis shows that f(R) cosmology allows dark matter masses lesser than 100 GeV, in the regime ρ c ?ρ m . We finally discuss how these limits apply to some specific realizations of standard cosmologies: an f(R) gravity model, Einstein frame model.  相似文献

Bianchi type cosmological models are considered in Bimetric theory of gravitation proposed by Rosen (1973) in the context of cosmic strings. It is interesting to note that cosmic strings do not occur in Bianchi type cosmologies. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigate the modified f(R) theory of gravity, where R represents the Ricci scalar respectively. For our current work, we consider the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) space-time for finding solutions of field equations. Furthermore, some numerical solutions are examined by taking the Klein-Gordon Equation and using distinct values of the equation of state (EoS) parameter. In this way, we have discussed the solutions for acceleration expansion of the Universe, sub-relativistic Universe, radiation Universe, ultra-relativistic Universe, dust Universe, and stiff fluid Universe respectively. Moreover, their behaviours are examined by using power-law and exponential law techniques. The bouncing scenario is also discussed by choosing some particular values of the model parameters and observed the energy conditions, which are satisfied for a successful bouncing model. It is also concluded that some solution in f(R) theory of gravity supports the concept of exotic matter and accelerated expansion of the Universe due to a large amount of negative pressure.  相似文献

Recent astrophysical measurements strongly suggest the existence of a missing energy component dubbed dark energy that is responsible for the current accelerated expansion of the universe.A new class of modified gravity theory is introduced which yields a universe accelerating in time and dominated by dark energy. The new modified gravity model constructed here concurrently includes a Gauss-Bonnet invariant term, barotropic fluid with a time-dependent equation of state parameter,a Coleman-Weinberg(CW) potenti...  相似文献

The Fisher matrix approach allows one to calculate in advance how well a given experiment will be able to estimate model parameters, and has been an invaluable tool in experimental design. In the same spirit, we present here a method to predict how well a given experiment can distinguish between different models, regardless of their parameters. From a Bayesian viewpoint, this involves computation of the Bayesian evidence. In this paper, we generalize the Fisher matrix approach from the context of parameter fitting to that of model testing, and show how the expected evidence can be computed under the same simplifying assumption of a Gaussian likelihood as the Fisher matrix approach for parameter estimation. With this 'Laplace approximation' all that is needed to compute the expected evidence is the Fisher matrix itself. We illustrate the method with a study of how well upcoming and planned experiments should perform at distinguishing between dark energy models and modified gravity theories. In particular, we consider the combination of 3D weak lensing, for which planned and proposed wide-field multiband imaging surveys will provide suitable data, and probes of the expansion history of the Universe, such as proposed supernova and baryonic acoustic oscillations surveys. We find that proposed large-scale weak-lensing surveys from space should be able readily to distinguish General Relativity from modified gravity models.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the new holographic dark energy model in the framework of modified f(R) Horava-Lifshitz Gravity. We apply correspondence scheme to construct model the in underlying scenario using power-law form of scale factor. To explore accelerated expansion of the universe, some well-known cosmological parameters (equation of state parameter and squared speed of sound) and cosmological planes (ω Λ \(\omega'_{\varLambda}\) and statefinder) are discussed for reconstructed model. It is interesting to conclude that these parameters represent phantom behavior of the universe with stable configuration. also, the cosmological planes show compatible results with recent observations for accelerated expansion of the universe.  相似文献
